Former Texas High School Coach Sentenced For Stalking Student
A man that formerly worked as a teacher and coach in Keller ISD has been sentenced for stalking a student and possessing child pornography.
According to a press release from the United States Department of Justice, Ricky Lynn Badley, 45, was sentenced February 5, 2021 to 10 years in Federal prison after pleading guilty to highly disturbing behavior toward a student and her family, as well as having lewd images of children on his personal devices.
Badley was obsessed with a 16-year-old female student and repeatedly stalked the victim. The former teacher admitted to referring to the student as his “new favorite” and “little girl.” Badley also wrote false and lewd messages to the girl's family and friends.
