Former Stamford Boyâs School pupil awarded John Mitchell medal by British Geotechnical Association

A former Stamford Boyâs School pupil has been awarded the John Mitchell medal by the British Geotechnical Association (BGA).
David Beadman received the medal, presented annually by the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), based on a nomination from the BGA for significant contributions in the field of geotechnical engineering.
David attended Stamford School between 1966 and 1975 and went on to study engineering at St Johnâs College, Cambridge. After graduating in 1979 he joined W S Akins, working on site for a couple of years on Drax Power Station completion project in Yorkshire.
