According to a recently unsealed criminal complaint against him, Dustin Rambo worked for the Mississippi Department of Transportation law enforcement division for 18 months in 2012 and 2013, during which he admitted to taking money collected for fees, taxes and permits.
The court documents report Rambo was allowed to resign from his position before he was fired.
The case was investigated by the FBI Jackson Field Officeâs Oxford Resident Agency and the Booneville Police Department.
On Friday, agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation arrested Rambo and charged him with five color of law violations, including one felony count of deprivation of rights under color of law privacy/bodily injury, and four misdemeanor counts of deprivation of rights under color of law â unreasonable search and seizure/taking of property without due process.
