Former Penn State football defensive end Shane Simmons has officially found a new home in the college football world.
The graduate student announced Tuesday on Twitter that he’ll use his remaining NCAA eligibility at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia.
Let’s run it back Coach Huff. Committed to Marshall University!!
After originally retiring from football to pursue a career in the business world, Simmons made a new
announcement in April that he will enter the transfer portal. After nearly a month of testing the waters, he announced his destination and officially left the Penn State program.
The defensive end is reuniting with former Penn State assistant coach Charles Huff, who was with the Nittany Lions from 2014 to 2018. Huff is now the head coach at Marshall and even received a quick shoutout from Simmons in his tweet announcing his commitment.
