Former Navy mechanic gets 30 months in prison for scheme that took $2M from injured troops fund

A former Navy chief petty officer has been sentenced to more than two years in prison for defrauding a military insurance program that’s supposed to help seriously injured and disabled veterans, federal authorities said.
