The Christmas holidays may be almost upon us, but that doesn’t mean people stray too far away from their favorite places. And, whenever said locale includes two stretches of straight tarmac and a couple of electronic boards, you can bet we’re interested.

On today’s episode of look what the Internet brought us from the drag strip – in this particular case the Drag Racing and Car Stuff channel on YouTube – we have what appears to be a second-generation (1999-2004) Ford SVT Lightning going for some quarter-mile glory against a rather eclectic mix.
During the first race for the Lightning, it faces off against a very modern Mustang (of the EcoBoost variety, if we are to trust the video’s description). It’s an interesting pairing, as the truck is older and heavier, but we gave it the benefit of the doubt since we had no idea if the supercharged 5.4-liter Triton V8 was modified or not.
