FOND DU LAC - City Council voted Wednesday night to pause work on the Lakeside Park project until the next council meeting, to allow its newest members to review the enhancement agreement.
The vote passed 4 to 2, with new council members Tiffany Brault, Keith Heisler and Vice President Patrick Mullen, as well as City Council President Kay Miller, in favor. Council members Donna Richards and Arletta Allen were opposed, and council member Ben Giles abstained.
The meeting agenda included discussion on the Lakeside Park plan and its future, and the proposed resolution was added Monday to pause all work on the park project — except for the pavilion — until May 12, to give the new council time to review the plan and the agreement with Lakeside Forward. If the council doesn't take action before then, the project will resume.
