Fond du Lac City Council member Ben Giles files civil case

FOND DU LAC - City Council member Ben Giles has filed a civil suit against the city's Ethics Board, asking for a judicial review to reverse a decision made by the board last month that negatively affects him.
The petition was filed March 1 in Fond du Lac County Circuit Court and will be heard by Judge Tricia Walker.
The board last month found Giles violated one of the sections of the city's Code of Ethics regarding dedicated service because he sought the opinion of outside counsel in regard to whether he was obliged to recuse himself from voting on matters concerning an alternative master plan for Lakeside Park.
