TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Florida State had six student-athletes named to the All-Region Teams. Kathryn Sandercock, Mack Leonard, Sydney Sherrill and Kalei Harding were named to the first team, Kaley Mudge was named to the second team and Michaela Edenfield was named to the third team. Sandercock was named to the All-Region Team for the second straight season. It is her first season on the first team. She is 29-1 this season with a 1.41 ERA. She has pitched 183.2 innings and has recorded 151 strikeouts while holding her opponents to a .191 batting average. Sandercock was named to the All-ACC First Team this season. Leonard is on the All-Region Team for the second straight year as well. She was selected to the All-Mideast Region Second Team last year at Illinois State. She is second on the team with a .372 batting average. She is second on the team with 13 doubles and third on the team with 46 RBI and eight home runs. Leonard was named to the All-ACC First Team this season. Sherrill is on the All-Region Team for the third time in her career. This season is the first time she has been named to the All-Region First Team. Sherrill is hitting .327 with a team-high 15 doubles to go with a team-high 46 runs scored. She has eight home runs and 39 RBI. Sherrill was named the ACC’s Defensive Player of the Year for the third straight season. Harding is on the All-Region Team for the first time in her career after being named to the All-ACC Second Team and the ACC Tournament MVP. She is hitting .316 with 15 home runs. Harding is the team leader in RBI with 52, she is also second on the team with 45 runs scored. Mudge is also making her first appearance on the All-Region Team after being named to the All-ACC Second Team. She is third on the team with a .358 batting average and second on the team with 13 stolen bases. Edenfield is on the All-Region Team after in first year of competition. She was named to the All-ACC Second Team last week. She is leading the Seminoles with 16 home runs, three shy of Jessie Warren’s FSU freshman record (19). Edenfield is second on the team with 49 RBI. Florida State kicks off the NCAA Tournament tomorrow against Howard at 8:30 PM. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
