Florida Senate signs off on bill eliminating Disney's self-governing district

Bolstering Gov. Ron DeSantis’ grudge match against one of the state’s largest employers, the Florida Senate on Wednesday passed two bills targeting Walt Disney Co. after the theme-park giant condemned a controversial new law that restricts discussion about sexual orientation and gender identity in schools.
