Florida fails to take action on pollution
Having participated in over 200 pollution control and energy conservation projects in my career as an environmental engineer, the sources of Florida's extensive pollution problems, including those at Piney Point, are obvious.
There is technology to address essentially any pollution problem if the issue is addressed promptly at its source, utilizing proven techniques, with proper environmental laws and enforcement in place.
When these problems are not addressed properly, and in a timely manner, the financial and human costs incurred will be enormous, compared with those costs incurred if the issue was addressed properly.
