announced hours ahead of a Super Bowl that people fear may spread the virus further.
Since March, just under 1.8 million cases of coronavirus have been identified in Florida. The weekly average case load decreased slightly Sunday to about 8,087 cases announced per day.
The Florida Department of Health also announced 103 deaths Sunday, bringing the number of people dead statewide to 28,161. The weekly death average decreased to about 178 people announced dead per day.
