Fleet safety tech firm secures €4m

CameraMatics' founders
A fleet safety solutions provider with an Irish head office in Dublin has secured private equity investment as part of a €4m funding round.
CameraMatics was established in 2016 by Mervyn O’Callaghan and Simon Murray. It is an Internet of Things (IoT) fleet and vehicle safety technology specialist, working across Ireland, the UK and US. 
Puma Private Equity provided €2.4m to the funding round, marking the firm's third investment in six weeks.
As well as its Dublin base, CameraMatics also has a head office in London and US headquarters in Richmond, Virginia.
The funding will support the expansion of the US branch and drive forward its presence in the European market.
