Three new cases of the novel coronavirus in Jackson; two in Nobles County

REGIONAL — An additional five Cottonwood County residents received positive COVID-19 results during the 24-hour period that ended at 4 p.m. Saturday, according to this morning’s update from the Minnesota Department of Health.
There were three new cases of COVID-19 in Jackson County, two new cases in Nobles County, and one new case each in Pipestone and Rock counties. There were a total of 810 new cases statewide during the single-day reporting period.
The cumulative total of confirmed positive COVID-19 cases in Minnesota now stands at 587,762 (positive and antigen tests), with 568,295 beyond the 10-day isolation period. Thus far, 41,896 Minnesota health care workers have contracted the virus.
