Annabella's was a well-known Italian restaurant in Bristol Borough until the pandemic forced its shutdown.
Put them together and what have you got? A pearl of Italian cuisine inside the oyster that is Fishers — a more than 60,000-square-foot eatery and entertainment complex at the busy intersection of Street and Hulmeville roads, just minutes from the entrances to both Interstate 95 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
And while there aren't too many good news stories about the fate of restaurants during the pandemic, this collaboration just might take the cake.
George Pavlis, the owner of Fishers, heard last year that Robert and Alison Angelaccio were closing Annabella's in its leased location in Bristol. State-ordered shutdowns during the pandemic, combined with cancellations of the borough's signature festivals and shows at the nearby Bristol Riverside Theater, had dried up their business.
