THE council's first in-person meeting since the start of the coronavirus pandemic will take place on Friday.
And to allow for social distancing, the full meeting of Swindon Borough Council is being held in the theatre at the Deanery Academy in Wichelstowe
A law passed by the government allowing such meetings to be solely online has now expired and has not been renewed.
The new venue in Wichelstowe offers more space than the usual Euclid Street venue, meaning all 57 councillors, officers and members of the public can attend.
Mayor of Swindon Garry Perkins will be sworn in for a second term and his deputy will be Councillor Abdul Amin.
