CIRENCESTER Hospital has officially launched its coronavirus vaccination programme.
Brian Horton, 82, from Cirencester and Roger Parfitt, 84, from Tetbury, were two of the first patients to receive the Pfizer vaccine at the hospital earlier this week.
After receiving the jab, Roger said: "I hope with the second injection in three weeks time that my life can become nearer to normal."
The start of the hospital’s vaccination programme has been welcomed by Dr Angus McMyn, lead GP for the Community Vaccination Centre at Cirencester Hospital.
He said: “It is a very proud moment to be part of this national vaccination programme and we are really excited to be able to start protecting some of our highest risk patients against the virus.
