First case affected by CBI DNA debacle ends in plea deal | News

In the first case to be unhinged by the recent government lab DNA scandal, a man accused of first degree triple murder plead down to second degree murder in Boulder Thursday.

Garrett Coughlin, 30, was sentenced to 42 years in prison for the 2017 murders of Wallace “Lance” White, his wife Kelly Sloat-White, and his brother Emory Fraker.
