First BTO cuckoo back in Europe

The BTO has revealed that 'PJ', one of three Common Cuckoos still being monitored via GPS tags, has arrived back in Europe in recent days.
Having passed through Mauritania on 11th and arriving in Morocco on 12th, PJ successfully completed a Saharan crossing – but didn't stop there.
Undeterred by the small feat of having just crossed the world's largest desert, PJ pressed on, flying a further 751 km north and crossing from Morocco into Spain. By 5 pm on 14th he had made it to central Spain. The BTO is anticipating that PJ will arrive back in his native Suffolk imminently.
