Seven people were displaced Sunday night after a fire caused significant damage to their residence in the 200 block of Hazel Street.
Firefighters responded to the scene about 9:50 p.m. and found a heavy exterior fire at the rear of the building.
The fire was under control in less than 10 minutes and ventilation operations were conducted inside the building for about an hour.
The cause of the fire was determined to be improper disposal of fireworks, according to the Green Bay Metro Fire Department Fire Marshall's Office.
The fire caused about $70,000 in damage and four pets also were displaced.
