Fire shuts down waste transfer station in Klamath Falls

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — A waste transfer station in Klamath Falls has been shut down indefinitely after a fire broke out within the building on Sunday.
Klamath County Fire District 1 confirmed that firefighters worked to extinguish "a large fire" at the Tingley Lane transfer station, with no injuries reported. Rogue Klamath Transfer said that the station structure suffered significant damage in the fire. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
