WOMEN, individuals from ethnic minority backgrounds and members of the LGBT+ community across Inverclyde are being encouraged to find out more about joining the fire service.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service says it is reaching out to underrepresented groups to encourage them to consider a career in the field.
A series of online dedicated sessions are being held to provide information about operational and non-operational roles.
Inverclyde Council's Women's Champion, Councillor Lynne Quinn, is encouraging females and under underrepresented people to go along and consider a career in the service.
Cllr Quinn said: "A career in the fire service is a rewarding career, whether it is on the frontline in operational service or in the non-operational side.
