Fire guts over 500 shanties at Mohakhali slum

Over 500 shanties were gutted as a fire broke out at a slum in Dhaka's Mohakhali area early today.
The fire started at Mohakhali Sattola slum around 3:40am, said Kamrul Hassan, a duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence.
