More than just a river crossing — Brisbane's Victoria Bridge has been the stage of protests, remembrance marches and floods.

Victoria Bridge already carries significantly less vehicular traffic than the city's other river crossings
Council modelling suggests the majority of motorists will opt to cross at the William Jolly Bridge instead
But the RACQ says it is concerned motorists will be funnelled onto the nearby Go-Between toll bridge
