PENNSDALE — The final beam for the new 120,000-square-foot Geisinger Medical Center healthplex in Muncy Township was placed on Nov. 17.
Due to the placement of the beam during the COVID pandemic, Geisinger, Highmark and their construction crews held a private ceremony to celebrate the accomplishment.
The construction project still remains to be on schedule according to Marc Stempka, Geisinger media relations specialist.
“We know this healthplex is going to create a new environment four our neighbors to get their health care in a much easier way,” Dr. Jaewon Ryu, Geisinger president and CEO said in the press release.
In its entirety, the healthplex will include numerous features to “meet the emergency, routine and acute care needs of those living in Lycoming, Sullivan, Clinton and Tioga counties”.
