You may not be familiar with director Shyamal Bose’s name in the Bengali film industry but this veteran filmmaker has directed a record number of 11 movies with Soumitra Chattopadhyay who passed away on November 15. Six of these films have already been released while three are in the pipeline waiting to be released by next year.
Now the problem is with the remaining two. While Soumitra has shot his portions of these films, the dubbing was still to be completed.
In one of the films ‘Swapno O Bastab’ Soumitra has played the elder version of the protagonist whereas ‘Bhalobasha’ will see him as the hero’s grandfather. Ever since Shyamal Bose started working with Soumitra Chattopadhyay, he has become a bit superstitious.
