Chen Nian has been single-mindedly preparing for China’s two-day national college entrance exam, which not only determines where and if she gets to study but also the fate of her entire family. Following the suicide of her classmate, Chen Nian suddenly finds herself the new target of her school’s biggest bully, its “queen bee.” Fate brings her together with small-time criminal Xiao Bei. An unlikely friendship is formed, but before they can retreat into a world of their own, both are dragged into the middle of a murder investigation that will change their lives forever.
