Opposition member Salote Radrodro says the comment made by the government in Parliament echoes they do not care about the plight of the people.
Radrodro said the food distribution and the cash assistance provided by the government are not enough to solve the struggles people are currently facing.
Radrodro said a lot of people are struggling every day to put food on the table as many have become jobless due to this pandemic.
“The mainstream media continue to highlight social issues and crime rates have increased. I have read somewhere whereby people will have to steal to feed their loved ones,” she said.
