The Consumer Council of Fiji (CCF) has expressed its disappointment with a Suva based bus service after news of students being left stranded at school.
This after the suspension of services without communication with the school.
Consumer Council of Fiji Chief Executive Seema Shandil said Bus companies have a “duty of care” towards their customers and must alert them first if they are going to cancel their trip on that particular route a day before.
“The case that has been highlighted in the media of children being left stranded becomes an issue of safety. Parents send their children to school with the understanding that there is a system of transportation that works in their favor and that their children will be transported safely back home,” said Shandil.
