Amid a curfew and loss of communication, the true extend of damage is only starting to be revealed
Authorities have begun determining the true extent of destruction caused by hurricane-force winds, flooding and massive waves.
The category five storm tore across the northern island of Vanua Levu, with winds gusting as high as 345 kilometres per hour.
