The Fiji 7s team is in the right footing heading into next month’s Olympic Games in Japan.
Coach Gareth Baber managed to put on a smile after the Fiji men’s team historically won the inaugural title in the COVID-19 tournament as a kicker to the Japan games.
Fiji won the title after remaining undefeated in Townsville against Australia, Oceania Barbarians and the All Black Sevens team of New Zealand But Baber cut short his celebration saying a lot of work was in place despite the win.
“We’ve played some good stuff but we’ve been ordinary at times as well and we know that there’s always stuff to work on,” Baber told Oceania Rugby.
