FGE reports the arrest of 3 in Cancun armored truck heist

Cancun, Q.R. — Three people have been arrested for the robbery of an armored truck in Cancun. The armored vehicle was robbed at gunpoint early Monday, with thieves making off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The FGE (Fiscalía General del Estado) says timely intervention allowed for the successful capture of the three men who they have identified as Pablo V, Jesús C and Francisco S.
The Monday morning heist was reported to 911 by personnel of the company security vehicle belonging to Grupo Mercurio de Transportes. Following that report, police took to social media saying “Investigative Police of the @FGEQuintanaRoo managed to capture two implicated in the assault on a securities company. They recovered the money that was stolen and the armored car. It happened in the 259 region of Villas Otoch in the Municipality of Benito Juárez.”
