Ferndale native Guy Fieri hosts fair's chili cookoff – Times-Standard

The chili cookoff was at the grandstands of the Humboldt County Fair Thursday, recently deemed safe for public use after temporary fixes were completed in time for the Fair. Humboldt County loaned the fair a million dollars after significant earthquake damage was discovered.
