Female workforce driving Unley High School build
The $32.5 million expansion of Unley High School is moving full steam ahead, as part of the Marshall Liberal Government’s record $1.3 billion education build.
Led by an 80 per cent female team, comprising project engineers, site engineers, construction workers, contract administrators and site administrators, the project delivering at least 117 local jobs.
Following International Women’s Day, Education Minister John Gardner visited the site to view progress and recognise the contribution of large female workforce working on the project.
“The Marshall Liberal Government is focused on creating jobs to keep South Australia safe and strong in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, and our record-breaking $1.3 billion investment in education infrastructure is delivering thousands of construction jobs at a crucial time for our economy,” said Minister Gardner.
