Female Street Artists Take Over Brixton Village Courtyard This March
A group of 30 female artists are coming together this March to bring some colour to Brixton Village Courtyard with a new al fresco exhibition in celebration of International Women's Day. WOM-INSPIRED, which runs for five weeks, is the work of the WOM Collective — a grassroots platform that's all about empowering female street artists in London.
The fun kicks off on 6 March with a two day opening show, featuring live mural painting by WOM Collective founders Carleen de Sozer, Elno and Lours, alongside artists DMT, Layla Cope, and Van Jimmer. If you're in the area, head to the courtyard between 1pm and 7pm to watch them at work, and discover 30 artworks inspired by the concept of womanhood.
