Police say the suspect in the mass shooting Thursday night at a FedEx Ground center that left eight people dead was a former employee.
The suspect has been identified as 19-year-old Brandon Scott Hole, who police say last worked at the south westside facility in 2020. It's unclear whether he quit or was terminated from the job.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Deputy Chief Craig McCartt said it's still too early to determine a motive. The suspect was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound inside the facility. McCartt said the suspect used a rifle, but did not provide more details on the weapon.
