The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on Tuesday opted not to consider an amended proposal for a controversial $1 billion natural gas pipeline that would traverse across New Jersey and the Lehigh Valley.
In September of last year, the commission issued an environmental assessment of PennEast’s amended proposal to split the project into two phases with new interconnection facilities at Church Road in Bethlehem Township, Pennsylvania.
