It is jobs day in america, the november jobs report due out in about two hours time well have continuing coverage all morning long and market is up going into the jobs number. Expectations call for 469,000 jobs added with Unemployment Rate taking down 6. 8 . The numbers coming after idea weekly jobless claims better than expected joining me right now is ceo also joining conversation this morning all along is paine ryan paine and college of professor of economics and fox news contradict tore brian bren burg great to see you everything thank you so much for being here. John welcome back great to have you back. Thanks so much for being here. Thank you maria. Kick it off with you john what are you seeing in terms of your clientele and money moving where is the sentiment this morning going into year end in 2021 . Well were seeing actually a lot of inflow of people want to receive management here dealing with volatility, and theres been a lot of it everything from covid to the elections, and i think that gone through the roof were at 31 and a half billion and people want protection to downside during these volatile times but they want equity type returns and if he can give that were seeing a lot of money drawed to that both retail and institutional. Maria so do you think that there are drivers then in terms of allocating capitol and what is pushing money into what area tech is clearly been the the growth story and it continuing this morning once again do you still see interest there . We definitely do, and since the election, we definitely have seen a rotation thats come back and forth between secular growth and cyclical and were still overweighted in secular growth because we think that tech is still going to be there. But were putting more into specifics cyclical that will help coming out of this pandemic that we still think there are some good opportunities pengdzing on earnings and whatnot even though we are still overweighted, mostly in growth type stock which are the things and whatnot, we are playing a lot more in the recovery of these cyclicals as they come out of this. Maria you know clearly things have turned, and sentiments improved on vaccine news progress there renewed push on stimulus as well as on capitol hill driving investor sentiments the dow seeing its stroangs month since the 1980s last month as invest tores look to end of the covid pandemic whats your outlook in terms of what drives markets in 2021 and the back drop for the market that is the broader economy with a vaccine now in the in the conversation . Right now, clearly the vaccine is driving markets and getting vaccine and getting people back to work and thats a huge driver here. Earnings have been pretty good. Theres still room for some improvement but thats going to be the biggest driver going forward. Now were going to have what seems to be an accommodated fed no matter what happens in the future which is very important so we have the back drop of lower Interest Rates, and having, you know, earnings continue to do well i think were going to have a very strong positive, you know, next few quarters going into this new year. Having said that, we have to also look at the political scene and what happens in the senate because then fiscal policy is going to pay a big role in what happens in the future. Maria absolutely. It is all about who wins the senate and what policies will be able to get through. Jon it is great to see you this morning thanks so much. Great to see you thank you maria. Maria well see you soon. Witnesses allege about issues with Voting Machines and ballot counting irregularity. Take a look at this video where you see people taking boxes out from under a table those boxes apparently contain ballots and they are brought over to the ballot machine. This is after the workers there asked everyone in the room to leave. Governor brian kemp told fox news laura last night that with this new evidence he would like to see another audit. I called early on for a signature audit, obviously, secretary of state per laws in the constitution would have to order that hes not done that. I think it should be done. I think especially with what we saw today it raises more questions there needs to be transparency on that. I would again call for that, and i think in the next 24 hours hopefully well see a lot more from the hearings of the legislature had today and will be able to look and see what the next steps are. Slots see where are we on this joining me right now is attorney for President TrumpGennette Ellis in georgia yesterday janet good to see you thank you for joining us this morning. Tell what you say that video is explain what we were looking at in that video in georgia. Well neither giuliani describe is as smoking gun in this case and everybody is saying wheres the evidence wheres the evidence and, obviously, weve brought forward so many witnesses who have seen the fraud that has been going on that theyve witnessed how Election Officials have completely disregarded the laws in six states. But this video corroborates what witnesses in georgia said happened at the state firm arena what you saw in that video that for the first time in fron of the Georgia Senate played yesterday that Election Officials took everyone out of the room in about 10 30 at night said go home then they pulled out at least four big boxes of ballots and kept scanning and scanning ballots until late into the night. And so this just corroborates with the witnesses have already said and it shows that President Trump and our legal team have been absolutely correct to bring these challenges weve been asking for signature matching weve been asking to make sure that it is a valid recount that every legal vote is counted and we know now with this video along with all of the witness testimony that the election it is in the sex states and particularly now ga are compromised and theres no way these certifications are genuine and accurate results. So how many votes are we talking about what do you think the impact of these boxes of ballots mean on the overall number of ballots in question . Well the margin in georgia is very, very slangt and thats why initially when we were asking for the recount to make sure for signature and a halving to make sure that this was a correct count when you have thousands and thousands of ballots that add up to 80,000 ballots or more then this calls into question not just as a validity of the outcome but also understanding what is the legal vote count versus all of the illegal ballots it is going to be very difficult now to actually go back through with all of the mailin ballots because we dont have security envelopes with ballots together and being tiebl put those back together. So it is going to be very difficult to get to an actual vote count in georgia. Maria so what is your end result, though, jenna assess where you are. Weve been talking about irregularities now for a couple of weeks since election day youre going need a win here of a victory in one of the swing states in order to prove to the American People that, in fact, you, you have the wherewithal to keep moving forward in a path to victory. Walk us through all of these cases and the challenges to the swing states and tell us where you expect a victory. Yeah well i think that as we argued yesterday in front of the Georgia Senate also what were asking in other litigation cases is that the Election Results should not continue to be certified. Theyre illegitimate and uncompromised looking for local counsel said in georgia yesterday that state legislature take back their authority and that they appoint a new elector and they appoint that not based on certification but rather based on true and accurate result they could call for a special election. Or as constitution allows they could appoint electors based on the representation of their state. That was actually how the Electoral College was appointed until 1824 in our country. And so this is something where we have to make sure that corruption does not reign supreme in america we have to make sure that Election Integrity is preserved and we can call for either special election or for the state legislatures to take over. But whats really important as well maria is this video was only obtained the night before the georgia hearing. So this is all still coming out we have witness affidavits everybody is saying well these are not just witnesses but testimony why believe them credible. This video shows proof that the witnesses in georgia were correct and so i think that that should raise suspicion all across these sex states that, of course, these witnesses are testifying to the truth, the elections are ire redeemably compromised we cant move forward with false results state legislatures need to act. Maria i want to ask you about pennsylvania, but i dont i knoe coming back in the show in the 8 a. M. Hour were going to talk about the Supreme Court there in terms of in terms of pennsylvania but give me your time on this. When are you going to hear from the court what are the next steps . How long do you give this to get a reaction to that video . Whats your timing here in georgia . Yeah. So hopefully the state legislature is actually going to be the one rather than the report to step in to intervene what they can do is run a concurrent resolution through both hows and senate so say theyve made factual findings that results is currently that certification is not appropriate and that theyre taking back their authority. So as soon as they do that, the Judicial Branch doesnt even need to step in in g at that point the state legislature can then intervene and they can provide the remedy and thats what were asking for not only in georgia but also where mayor giuliani and i were in michigan and earlier this week with all of the witnesses in evidence we have presented. Maria you think youll hear from state legislatures in next couple of days whats your timing on that . Definitely before december 14th. Thats the date that the Electoral College under statute is going to vote so question need to definitely do that before december 14th were hears from state legislature especially in georgia yesterday those state senators were very, very disturbed by what they saw and rightly so. Also maria, this type of evidence, overwhelming evidence we have is more than most criminal cases for an indictment even a conviction in a criminal trial. So we have enough evidence in the state legislatures are going to act here. Maria well talk more about it when we see you in 8 a. M. Hour jenna ellis will be back with us at the top of the 8 a. M. Maria welcome back, increasing threat of china, the director of National IntelligenceJohn Radcliffe out with new oped this morning titled china is National Security threat number one in it he writes this the intelligence is clear beijing intends to nominate the u. S. And rest of the planet economically, militarily, and technologically radcliffe saying chin is using blackmail and bribery to influence members of Congress Really a disturbing story this morning Brian Brenberg nothing that we didnt know this, this rob replicate replace idea is what John Radcliffe writes about they rob u. S. Companies of their intellectual property and replicate their technology and then replace them in the global marketplace. Weve seen it over and over again. A very sobering article and he puts a very fine point on the issue his point is clear he says look, quote unquote private Chinese Companies are not private Chinese Companies. They are camouflaged for the state. Everything happening coming out of china is camouflaged for the communist party, and that affects not only u. S. Businesses but the u. S. Political environment. I mean hes saying that china targets congressional leaders in the United States six times more than russia has tried to do that 12 times more than iran has tried to do that. Chinas involvement in u. S. Economy in u. S. Political system is astonishing and for so many years, leaders in this country turn to blind eye to it. The obvious take away from this article is that cant happen anymore intelligence agencies have to be focused on all aspects of china involvement in our society. Excuse me. Maria you know, ryan, in my book i mentioned a story about an employee at motorola where she was stopped at the airport pockets full of usb ports and and access she had access to technology of motorola proprietary products she was jailed she had so much proprietary information had her pocket she was taking back to china and then they found out that she and 14 other employees were sending motorola proprietary information directly to the chairman of huawei. Huawei is among the biggest perpetrators here in the journal this morning is also reporting that the Justice Department is in discussions right now with huawei to get their finance chief cfo ms mang potentially allowing her to return home to china after admitting to allegations of wire and Bank Fraud Charges shes right now in canada. The parties aren playing to speak this week. What does this all mean the bottom line is, are we going to see an easier policy potentially with joe biden and china given that the biden family has ties to certain Chinese Companies. We know the stories about hunter biden taking one and a half billion dollars after going on air force 2 with his then sitting Vice President father. Its disconcerting one thing give credit to Trump Administration is putting light on ip theft like 300 billion a year to the u. S. Economy that basically gets lost because of chinas essential, you know, stealing of ip so, i mean, i think that the light is on it right now i hope that Biden Administration will carry that torch because it is a big deal. I mean thats unbelievable story about motorola and i think that world has kind of maybe tuned into the fact that huawei for instance is, you know, obviously, not maybe the best infrastructure to be using for your 5g i think europe as well is finally starting to get onboard with that too so im hoping that light will be a good thing and reduce some of that ip theft. Yeah. I think it is really troubling that radcliffe telling katherine that china is using blackmail it is using bribery, and covert influence to target members of congress. So that they can make sure only laws that are favorable to china are passed. Well be talking about this upcoming sungdz and speaking exclusively with John Radcliffe my special guest on sunday morning future this is sunday at 10 a. M. Eastern live. What precision cheryl thank you so much. Okay, it is still up in the air in new york, the race for new york 22nd district house seat still ongoing. Nearly a month after the election, the closely contested race taking a new turn as one county found 55 previously uncounted ballots to discovery coming just a day after local Election Officials delivered what they thought were final vote totals to a judge which saw claudia with just a 12vote lead. Joining me right now is new york 22nd district congressional candidate claudia and claudia it is great to see you this morning. Youve got to help me out here i dont understand we are now a month after election day. And your race is still going on . Yeah. Maria thanks so much to everyone out there by the way, at home across the nation for being involved in this and supporting this. We are talking about the most important right that we have and that is a right to vote privately. And a country where theres no coercion no fraud no abuse, unfortunately whats going on in this race is a microcosm what have youre seeing in many ways on the National Level and president ial race. And really a lot of it has to do with a bureaucratic cay yachting atmosphere i call it calculated chaos. Because in august of this year, Governor Cuomo signed an executive order which actually changed the election law, and allowed many of the things that the democrats put in their signature legislation known as hr1 the for the people act. This act is to overall election it bans voter id it allowed 16yearolds to actually register early, it allows people to register in other states and be registered in multiple jurisdictions it just creates calculated chaos for voters and what happened governor did this and mitdst of the pandemic. And provided no resources to this, these local boards who administer to the elections. So what happened and when you refer to the county thats where my business is loangted the county had hack to their entire computer system. And in october which didnt resolve until after election day. And then these votes turned up. But you know, the thing that the problem is they dont have the resources in a normal election and i won Election Night with over 28,000 votes. That was frittered away over course of a month when absentee ballots were counted, and what happened is these boards had to process over 70,000 absentee ballots when they normally do about 7,000 in a race so it put them in a real disadvantage a lot of confusion not you enough People Administrative nightmare so what it does is can i prove there was fraud . I dont know. We dont have all of the results yet. But what we can say is that boards were so overstressed that they werent able to handle the nightmare that they have faced theys werent able to meet deadlines theyre also legal guidelines they have to meet so this is a nightmare everything from dead people being turned up voting, people showing up to vote claiming theres someone theyre not and 95yearold woman said she didnt vote and yet somebody turned up and voted in her police and all of this has been happening throughout the last month which is undermining the integrity of our elections. So it is a nightmare. Really is sad state of affairs. Claudia you have top help me out here what is the point of banning id . To vote well, this is exactly what the democrats proposed i suggest you have one of the democrats on to talk about why they do that. If you recall in old days we used to have a lot of travel with ohio for example we can never get the Election Results you know harkening back to like bush v. Gore era of 2000 and then onward they did not have a valid voter id system. Ohio now has a valid voter id system. They also have what they call a purge system so people dont languish on the polls frearch every so if somebody decides to move no another state you can languish on pollings forever and they dont purge you for polls unless you actively call or contact the board of elections. So that person can be out there someone can show up in your place, and so this leaves all of this confusion where you dont see for example in states like ohio. So before the people act what democrats are relying on to create this confusion and create uncertainty i have 11 colleges in my district i would love to know how Many College Students potentially voted at home and also voted with their using their college address. And thats allowed by under election law. Theres another thing that i want to add this is a wrinkle that is coming up and youre seeing it with my other colleague Maryann Miller weeks who was actually voted in and she was actually given the vote by five unanimous election electors in state of iowa and certified that she was the winner all be it by six votes close race like mine but what could happen is if the democrats and nancy pelosi decide to take over this race, with House Administration including mine, they could actually overturn this election and inspite of us being winners by narrow margin this is something public should be outraged by and it is wrong and inturngd mines integrity of the election and something i would warn everyone that could potentially happen in this race it is under the constitution. And thengd possibly do that. And i just warn everyone this is something that is also in their deck of cards. Maria well this is a step of a Banana Republic this is, obviously, not something anyone recognizes to take place in america. Im still absolutely confused as to why Governor Cuomo would ban the use of ids to vote. Theres absolutely no reason to ban anybody using an id to vote other than to sew chaos as you saw claudia well be watching the race do you have any expectation if you won or not if votes have indicated that you did . Were in court courts are being filed and going on by attorneys. And judge is going to make a preliminary decision on the 7th it is pearl harbor day for me all over again. But yeah if anyone wants to help it is claudia for congress. Com we appreciate the support for everyone keep watching it will keep going on thanks for more time. Well do that and see you soon claudia coming up a breath of fresh air coming up how one company is ramping up its air purification business to get kids back in the classroom youre waving mornings with maria live on fox business. At tmobile, we believe you should get more. Thats why weve merged with sprint. Now its about to get even better. And as we work to integrate sprints network, our nationwide 5g keeps getting stronger. With the capacity and coverage to reach more people and places across the country. Who says you cant have it all. Now is the time for 5g. Now is the time to join tmobile. Maria welcome back a breath of fresh air say new york based wellness real estate and technology Company Ramping up its air purification business amid the pandemic Company Installed over 100,000 air purification units in School Systems across the country. Joining me right now is the ceo of paul. Paul great to have you this morning, and so needed. Your business has certainly been something that people need in this pandemic. Tell me about business throughout, and about the purification of air. Pleasure to be with you maria. It has been helping merge with Building Sciences for quite some time applying year of world renown to put forth solutions from indoor environment to keep our indoor environment healthier and safer. In this particular case, weve been looking at air quality and air filtration that are four to five year we understand size of a package and concern such as covid19, and, in fact, as you mention have put forth already over 100,000 units of filtration units that can filter 99. 97 of a airborne viral load down to 0. 7 micron smaller than the particles. Maria thats important parents this morning are frustrated with lock down rules across the country their kids are learning at home. And they are not, you know, wanting this to be sustained. The president wants the economy open. Joe biden has called for schools to reopen as well. So long as they have protective measures in place, to account for coronavirus, tell me about the implementation of this technology and can you do it now to ensure that schools can reopen . Do you think its safe for schools to open . Yeah. So maria these are affordable wall mounted or stand alone units that can fit into any kind of space so these are immediately you dont have to consider older, newer buildings different configurations this is the most scalable implementable and efficient solution and there are 6, 5 million classrooms in the United States these can be put into every classroom fairly immediately. And when you consider the concerns here in terms of health safety, look weve got an airborne viral load to consider. A surface born load to consider and behavior or behavioral born virus load we have adjusted our behavior with mask wears and social distancing and testing we have accustom to cleaning surfaces more often. The real constant here is indoor airborne viral concern, and thats exactly what these types of products can address. And you know, you are talking about yeah. Please maria one of the issues during the pandemic was the fact that there was, you know, air that was not moving, not fresh air in certain industries, for example the cruise industry. Right . The cruise industry does not have many ships are not retrofitted with this kind of technology. Restaurants a lot of them had to close because of the air inside. The same thing with planes. Are you expecting a big retrofitting investment to happen after the pandemic to ensure that should Something Like this happen again, fresh air can actually flow in within these industries . Encourage news is taken affordable solution you dont necessarily need heavy renovation or upgrades. Again stand alone wall mounted unit can filter that type of with that type of efficiency. On her Online Merchandise store, people saying it is a capitalistic move selling it at a price that seems for the rich 58 bucks for sweatshirt what do you think . I dont pay 58 for a sweatshirt i like i would definitely not pay it for this sweatshirt but you know its sweatshirt slogan economics. The fight for Election Integrity, President Trumps team taking the fight to georgia now as new Surveillance Video shows election workers apparently illegally counting ballots with no supervisors present. In some video you see workers pulling out boxes of ballots, suitcases full of ballots that were underneath tables. I asked trump cam contain attorney jenna ellis about the next steps in light of this new evidence. Walk us through all of these cases and the challenges to the swing states and tell us where you expect a victory. As our of local counsel said in georgia yesterday, the state legislature take back their authority and that they appoint a new electors and they appoint that, not based upon the false certification, but rather based on a true and accurate result. They could call for a special election or as the constitution you allows, they could appoint electors based on the representation of their state. Maria jenna ellis will join me at the top of the next hour with more. Shell give us an update on the case that has reached the Supreme Court in pennsylvania. And then this, the threat to america, the director of National Intelligence, John Ratcliffe, calling china the number one threat to american National Security. Even saying that china is using blackmail and bribery to influence members of congress. All that coming up. I hope you take what these people are telling you seriously. Maria this as new Surveillance Video appears to show Fulton County election workers illegally counting ballots with no supervisors present. Some people even taking suitcases from out underneath the tables. You can see this video on the right where someone goes to this table, takes suitcases out from underneath the table, the suitcases apparently are full of ballots. They take them over to the ballot machine and start inserting them. This is after they asked everyone to leave the room. This is what the witness testimony went through yesterday. President trump slamming the governor on twitter about all of this, he wrote this, people in georgia got caught cold bringing in massive number of ballots, putting them in Voting Machines. Great job, brian kemp. The governor is on defense. He told fox news last night he is one of the president s biggest supporters. The president i said many times, hes a fighter. Meanwhile, joe biden wants you to mask up. He has you announced that he is going to ask all americans to wear masks in his first 100 days in office. Hes also asked dr. Anthony fauci to be his chief medical advisor and part of his covid19 Response Team. Time for the word on wall street, top investors watching your money this week. Joining me to talk about that is chief economist, lindsey piezga, mike murphy and ken m mahone. Great to see everybody. Mike, let me kick it off with you. Were focused on jobs this morning, the november jobs report due out in an hour, calling for 469,000 jobs added to the economy with the Unemployment Rate down to 6. 8 , after yesterdays weekly jobless claims were better than expected. Your take on the impact here to markets and investing. Good morning, maria. Great to see you. Were sitting at alltime highs on the markets right now. So when we get this number this morning, i think its more important to focus on the Bigger Picture than whether this number comes in at 400 or 500,000 jobs added. The Bigger Picture in my opinion, we hit this pandemic, it basically shut down the entire economy and now we are recovering. Weve seen great recovery from that. And thats going to continue. So whether the number comes in at 4 or 5, is that enough to support more new highs in the market . For me, the answer is yes. I think the consumer is very strong. The consumer is going to be out this Holiday Season, spending money. What i want to focus on, though, maria, is where are the jobs. I can tell you for certain, startup companies, Technology Businesses are going to replace some of the jobs that were lost. Lets keep an eye on that. Some people wont be able to recover their jobs. Theyll be replaced by technology when this is over. Maria so thats a good point. When you invest in small companies, as a venture capitalist investor, where are you seeing the growth and the ability to create jobs, mike . Are there areas, specific companies or industries you can mention . Yes, for sure. When you look at it, maria, one right off the top that has benefited from the pandemic, one area is private aviation, wheels up is a company where people if they they can afford it theyre taking private aviation instead of going to the airports. Another one that we talked about a lot is telemedicine, were involved in several names in the telemedicine space. One is 30 madison. The way people are receiving their medication now has changed. Instead of going to the doctor, the doctor and the medication will come to you. So those are two areas that i think are really going to benefit from this pandemic. Once were past this, the way we live our lives for certain is going to be changed. Its going to be disrupted by a lot of private companies. And youre starting to see a lot of these private companies from the big ones, the airbnbs, all the way down to smaller ones going public. Its going to change a lot in the very near future. Maria lindsey, let me turn to macro, the coronavirus aid the renewed stimulus talks, lawmakers remain divided on a stimulus plan with the president and Mitch Mcconnell walking back the bipartisan 900 billion proposal. Do you thinker were going to get think were going to get something in the lame duck and whats your take on the broader economy right now, are you expecting growth in the Fourth Quarter . The atlanta fed is looking at 11 , lindsey, as you know. Thats pretty robust. I think we have seen from the recent slew of solid Economic Data that the u. S. Economy does continue to recover from that low in the Second Quarter. But i think it also may be masking in part the need for further artificial support from the federal government as we do see the second round resurgence and subsequent policy measures continuing to wreak havoc on individuals and businesses. Potentially then leading to further job losses and business closures as we look out to the end of the year. And as we turn the page into the new calendar year. So right now, it does appear that growth remains solid but the risk is very much to the downside. In fact, as we talked before, depending on the depth and duration of the second round resurgence, the u. S. Economy is in fact likely to slow significantly potentially falling back into negative territory as we go out to that First Quarter of 2021. That being said, regarding stimulus, any additional funds that are deployed from the federal government need to come with additional accountability. As weve seen from the recent specifics of the first round of the ppp program, a number of large or questionable recipients of funds, so yes, we do hope for that fifth round stimulus package but it needs to come with additional scrutiny and accountability. Maria yeah. Its a good point. So what does this all mean to allocating capital, ken . You heard lindseys growth outlook. The dow industrials seeing the strongest month since the 1980s, 1987, in november. Investors looking toward the end of the covid pandemic, the dow on track to open above 30,000. Look where we are here. Another quarter percent gain. Ken, how are you allocating capital . Were actually taking some monies off the table because we have to follow our discipline which is overbought shortterm. We are bullish. We have to follow it a little bit. I understand why the markets doing what its doing. We have a lot of puts in place, we have a lot of Circuit Breakers here. We have fed funds at zero. Asset purchases. We have a new put in place, a vaccination put which is great, between now and next year, between pfizer, moderna, maybe other companies will get aprofit approval. We have the stimulus put lawmakers are going to get together and so forth. We think its positive to have all these kind of pieces in place. However, to the upside, maria, thats where we challenge our of selfs. We have the s p over 3600. How do we get there . Is it 1 180 per share earnings. Thats stretching thing. A 20 multiple . Thats stretching also. Were at a point where we think weve had a great feast as dr. Seuss would say during thanksgiving but maybe cutting into santa claus rally a little bit. We do have good Downside Protection with the three puts i cited. Maria all right. You are worried about valuations here. Its a note to make. Lindsey, mike, ken, great to see you all. Thank you so much. Have a great weekend. Much more ahead this morning. Coming up, colorado congresswomanelect lauren bovert will be here, shell join me next on her victory, why she wants to carry her gun to the capital. Gop women winning big in this election, Republican Lauren Boebert defeated democrat owe poowepoe meant. One of the many gop winning this election cycle, gained at least nine house seats. Joining me right now is colorado congresswomanelect lauren boebert. Congratulations to you. Its great to be with you, maria. Thank you so much for having me. Maria you know, were talking about this a lot with Kevin Mccarthy who is very proud of the showing that he is seeing in the house of representatives as you inch so close to an even or of even a majority here. What do you think is going on in your district and why do you think that you were able to flip it to red . Well, we actually kept this seat, this was an open seat and i defeated a five determine incouple bent in the pry mayor incumbent in the primary. Theres a movement going on. The American People want elected officials who will fight for them, who will stand their ground, to take a stand for freedom. I believe we see so many women who have won their gop elections because theres been something brewing, something stirring in the hearts of american women these past few years. Weve been watching. We have been listening, maria. And there have been four women in particular that weve been hearing from far too often and i believe that would when all across the country stood up and said these four women do not represent me, they do not represent the country i know and love and they do not represent the American Values i am instilling in my children. Maria youre talking about the squad, who obviously have tried to shake up the Democrat Party as well. Let me ask you about whats going on in terms of the president s legal battles here. How much of the victory that were seeing in the house do you attribute to President Trump and all of this campaigning and his policies that have resonated . All of us owe a great deal of gratitude to President Trump. He was so very involved in these house races and i do believe that thats why were seeing victories all throughout the country in these house races. Leader mccarthy worked very closely with President Trump in helping candidates all across our country get elected. They both helped me a lot in my race. I actually spent more than an hour with President Trump two days ago in the oval office and we were talking about the general election. We were talking about whats going on in his election. And i just encouraged him to keep fighting. I said mr. President , we need you to use all of the authority that you have to the tilt. You were the only one who is actually brave enough to go against these people and take a stand for america and prove that this was that we have a free and Fair Election. Maria and the performance of the gop is another headscratcher, given that the president lost. Typically when you see the down ballots go in one direction, typically the leader of the party also wins. So its one of those things that the president s legal team is talking about. Earlier i spoke with trumps lawyer, jenna ellis, about the evidence that they have at this point and where they are in all of these challenges. Listen to what she said. Maria, this type of evidence, the overwhelming evidence we have is more than most criminal cases for an indictment and even a conviction in a criminal trial. So we have enough evidence and the legislatures are going to act. Maria your reaction, congresswomanelect . You said you spoke to President Trump this week. Whats your take on what were seeing in terms of this evidence and the pack of sworn affidavits that his team has that they saw fraud happening in front of their eyes . Yes. So i believe that President Trump needs to keep fighting because we see this evidence all throughout the country in these battleground states and he has to keep fighting. The democrats drug american citizens through a witch hunt over this russian collusion hoax for years and impeached the president ultimately over it and we have so much evidence to prove that this election was not right and that joe biden is not more popular than hillary clinton. He is not more popular than barack obama. And he did not receive more than 80 million votes here in the United States. Maria congresswomanelect, i want to ask you about your own priorities. Youre a supporter of gun rights, i know that. You say youre planning on carrying your firearm. Tell me about that. Why do you feel the need to carry it even while youre at the capital . Are there safety issues . Well, maria, just like most democratrun cities, washington, d. C. Has a very high Violent Crime rate. In fact, the Violent Crime rate here in washington, d. C. Is more than 158 higher than the national average. I like to carry to defend myself. I am 50, 100 pounds. I intend to carry my firearm here in washington, d. C. The future of the film industry, Warner Brothers sending 17 of the fall slated films to streaming platforms as the movies come out in theaters, they will also come out and be available on hbo max for one month. Brian, its sort of admission that the Movie Theater business is faltering. Brian yeah. This is a huge change for this industry and Warner Brothers is saying that this is only going to apply for 2021. While we still are in the pandemic situation. But i really doubt that. I think once the genies out hofout ofthis bottle, you cantt back. These content Generation Companies who have distribution arms as well want both to Work Together for the content. I think what youre seeing here is the future. Companies want to sign up subscribers. They dont want to send content through a third party. They want to own it and they want people to subscribe to it. Thats what Warner Brothers is doing right here. Maria yeah. And i think that this trend started even before the pandemic, right . Because the availability of streaming, the fact that we have an opportunity to have big tvs and lots of technology at home, people were going to the movies less and less. Now, ryan, amc says it might go bankrupt without stock purchases. It wants to use any potential proceeds for refinancing and repayment of existing debt. Obviously, a leverage situation, not a good thing with Movie Theaters shut down and so many movies going right to streaming. How do things change for amc . Ryan i dont think they do. I mean, i think the other issue is we have Home Entertainment systems now that are just awesome. If you look at my apartment here in manhattan, i have this projector that i put against the wall and its like being at the Movie Theater. So to your point, maria, even before the pandemic. I didnt like going to the movies anymore. I like the popcorn. Im going to miss that. Overall, less people are inclined to go to the movies. Maria yep. Im with you. Im with you. Well take a break. It is friday, december 4th. A look at markets this morning, 7 31 a. M. On the east coast. We have the november jobs report out this morning, futures indicating a gain of 133 points right out of the gate, we should open above 30,000 on the dow industrials ahead of the jobs number. As you see, futures are strong. Nasdaq up 39, s p 500 up 12 andahalf after a mixed day yesterday, all three major indices yesterday higher and with the exception of the s p, pardon me. They are poised to finish the week in the green. Dow industrials were up 85, nasdaq was up 27, and s p was weaker by 2 and a quarter. European markets look like this. Take a look at the european indices with the fq100 up 53, cac up 20, dax index lower by 13. In asia overnight markets finished mostly higher. As youll see here. With the best performer in south korea, up 1 and a third percent. Were following the fight for a free and Fair Election. New Surveillance Video played yesterday at a hearing in georgia, reportedly shows Fulton County executive Fulton CountyElection Officials illegally counting ballots with no supervisors present. As you can see from this picture on the right, youve got officials taking suitcases out from under a table and in those suitcases there were ballots which they brought over to the ballot machine and went ahead and put them through. We dont know where these ballots came from. They were sitting in suitcases underneath the table and this is after the Election Officials asked everybody in the room to leave except for those three people taking the suitcases out. I asked for attorney for Trump Campaign jenna ellis earlier what this means for her case. Watch. When you have thousands and thousands of ballots that add up to possibly 80,000 ballots or more, this calls into question not just the validity of the outcome but also what is the legal vote count versus all of the illegal ballots. Maria jenna ellis will join me again at the top of the next hour with more evidence. She will join me at 8 00 a. M. Eastern. Meanwhile, this. New struggles for the cruise industry amid the pandemic. Cheryl casone with the details there. Cheryl, we were talking about the other day that cruises were starting to come back. Cheryl they were supposed to but theres been a brandnew development in this whole saga for the industry, maria. Good morning again. Cruise Line Companies carnival, norwegian and royal carribean have released independent announcements theyre going to suspend most of their sailings to february 2021 until this latest move most of the cruises were set to restart at the end of the month. Take a look at the stocks in the premarket. They have had a heck of a year, not in a good way. Carnival and no norwegian are higher right now. Twitter and zoom topping a liss nobody wants to be on this season, the annual list of the worst password of fenders. Luminar technologies going public yesterday, making the 25yearold founder the youngest self made billionaire. He started the company at age 17 after leaving stam stanford. They built the technology from scratch and they own the technology. Those are some of your headlines from the newsroom. Back over to you. Maria all right, cheryl, thank you so much. Meanwhile, filling the Federal Reserve board of governors, this is topic a. Chris waller confirmed by the senate, 4847, receiving only republican votes with the exception of rand paul who sided the senate democrats. Judy sheltons nomination was rejected by the senate last month. Its not clear if she will be brought up for another vote but majority of whip john thune told reporter her confirmation is unlikely. Joining me right now is former Federal Reserve member and universituniversity of chicago f business deputy dean for executive programs, randall krosner. Great to see you. Thanks very much for being here. Whats your take on the moves of the fed at why you judy shelton couldnt get past go. I think chris waller is very much the same is part of the consensus where the fed is now. Hes a low for long kind of guy and i think thats where the fed is right now. So i think his joining the Federal Reserve board is really not going to change policy very much. I think judy shelton faced a number of challenges, partially because she had been very much a hawk that was very worried about inflation, switched to being much less hawkish, socalled doveish, no Interest Rates and not worried about inflation. She didnt give a good explanation as to why. I think that raised questions in many sens senators heads. Maria whats your take on joe biden choosing janet yellen to be treasury secretary . What will that mean in terms of coordination between the treasury and the Federal Reserve . Well, janets someone i know well because when i was a governor at the fed she was head of the San Francisco fed and we worked closely together during the financial crisis because obviously there were a lot of institutions out on the west coast that were facing a lot of challenges. I think shes pretty much a straight shooter, someone who likes to get things done, shes someone who gets into the data and into the facts and its clear from her recent statements that she thinks that there needs to be a lot of spending by the federal government. Im not sure that the republicans in the senate completely agree with that. But i think shes someone who can work both sides of the aisle. Maria yeah, and nonetheless, even if they dont agree with that, it seems likely that she would get confirmed, right . You believe she would get confirmed if the republicans are in charge of the senate . I dont see any reason why she wouldnt get confirmed. Shes been confirmed a number for a number of different positions. I think weve heard very positive things being said about her on both sides of the aisle. Maria all right. Let me get your take on the macro story. Potentially pretty good gdp boost. The atlanta Federal Reserve now expecting 11. 1 growth in the gdp for the Fourth Quarter, randy, after positive manufacturing data, construction spending. We are seeing a real opted miss particular look at the optimistic look at the Fourth Quarter. Do you agree with this number and what is your take on the growth in the end of the year, Fourth Quarter and into 2021. I think we are going to have growth. I think were going to have pretty robust growth. Im closer to where the consensus is at around 4 . They seem to be very optimistic that were going to get a big bounce back in Consumer Spending but i think thats going to be a challenge because of whats happening with the course of the virus, as more people are either forced to stay in or chooseing to stay in and not consume as much. I think the Fourth Quarter is not going to be as strong as the atlanta fed says. I wish theyre right. Maria does that change if we get a stimulus package in the lame duck session . Do you believe that we could see something happen her here to the tune of 900 billion stimulus relief . So, i think its likely that something is going to come through but its really hard to get that money out fast. And so even if it passes in the next week, its probably not going to have much of an impact on the Fourth Quarter. It will have an impact on the First Quarter for sure. Maria all right. However, the first will not be available to all americans at first. This as weve learned that pfizer cut the original rollout in half due to supply issues. Joining me right now is Johns Hopkins center for Health Security infection disease expert, dr. Amesh adalja. Its good to see you this morning. Thank you for joining us. Tell me about the rollout and when you expect a majority of people to be able to get that vaccine. So the rollout is going to begin later this month if everything goes perfectly. What were going to see is it given to priority groups first. Then it will move to high risk individuals in the community. For the general Adult Population to have access to this vaccine, the ones with average risk, its going to be well into 2021. Talking probably around the summer of 2021. Thats if theres no hiccups. You have to anticipate there will be supply issues like we already heard about happening. Maria for those people who have already had the coronavirus, should they still get vaccinated . Yes, i think theres not going to be any distinction if youve had it. We know that antibodies do provide some protection and you also get tcell immunity. We dont know how long that lasts. This vaccine will likely serve as a booster for those individuals who had the virus before. Obviously, our priority is getting people who have never been immunized before. Theres no way to distinguish those two. Were going to have anybody get the vaccine irrespective of prior status with covid19. Maria let me ask you about how this will go sort of over a longterm period. Is this vaccine going to be similar to the flu shot in a sense that we would need to get one every year . Not necessarily. Coronaviruses are a whole different family from influenza. Influenza is kind of the trickiest virus that there is because of how it will change its sequence, change strains. We have to constantly update the flu vaccine every year to make sure were combating the strains that are circulateing in the community. Thats not the case with the coronavirus. We may need to get a booster down the road, like we get a boozbooster for measles. We have to follow people out to see how long the immunity lasts. This isnt the flu. Its not that type of annual vaccine where the strains are getting updated. Maria Brian Brenberg, jump in. Brian one of the groups of people who really care a lot about getting the Coronavirus Vaccine in place is restaurant owners, hotel owners, anybody in the hospitality business. How long before the rollout of this vaccine can get to the point where those folks can say come on into the restaurant, come on into the hotel, youre going to be fine. Theres enough distribution. How long does that take before you get that kind of confidence back again . I think were looking into probably the Second Quarter of 2021 before that starts to happen. However, once we get high risk individuals vaccinated, suppose you vaccinate all the nursing home population, then youll see pressure lift on hospitals. Nursing home patients represent a significant proportion of whats being hospitalized now. And thats really key to the Public Perception and the threat and the risk from this virus. Once you start to not have hospitals worried about icu capacity on a daytoday basis, i think people will feel more comfortable, there will be less worry about hospital capacity. Thats what flattening the curve was all about was trying to stay below hospital capacity. You will start seeing more people engage in social activities once the high risk groups are vaccinated. Its going to take some time to get to herd immunity threshold in the population to be safe from the spread of the virus. Maria what about women who are pregnant or thinking about becoming pregnant . Is this vaccine safe for them and their unborn child . We dont have data on that and those individuals were excluded in the Clinical Trials. If you were pregnant, you couldnt be in the clinical trial. We have to extrapolate the data. Some women in the trial became pregnant, well be able to analyze that data. In the initial rollout of the vaccine pregnant women are going to be excluded and people who get vaccinated will be told to wait a couple months before getting pregnant until we have the data. This vaccine is about high risk populations and make this Public Health emergency go away. Pregnant women, they are at risk for some higher complications, they arent the bulk of whats casing death os causing hospitalizations and i think thats why the vaccine is clearly tied to those risk groups that are really putting hospitals into crisis right now. Maria all right. Well be watching. Dr. Adalja, good to see you. Thanks very much. Appreciate your insights as always. Coming up, a very mariah christmas, the diva has a sweet holiday treat. First Election Officials told everybody in the room it is time to go home clear out everybody cleared out except for those three people you see there, those three people among the people who were taking suitcases out from under the table Governor Brian Kemp told Laura Ingraham last night with new evidence he wants to see another audit, watch. I called early on for a signature audit obviously, secretary of state per laws constitution would have to order that he has not done that i think should it be done. I think what we saw day raises fore questions needs to be have transparency i again call for that hopefully next 24 hours we will see a lot more in hearings in legislature had today able to look and see what next steps are. Joining me right now attorney for President Trump jenna ellis in georgia yesterday, jenna what incredible pictures. You were able to find with those people taking ballots, what exactly was going on walk us through that video what are we looking at . Absolutely shocking maria, what happened that have a 10 30 at night in voting, location the the Election Officials told everyone just go home stop counting four people remained behind i can see from the video that they reached under a table, and took out four big boxes of ballots and kept handing of them will through through the neut this is what, my cosponsor Rudy Giuliani scribed smoking guns verified testimony that we already had from other ee poll watchers people there, he said that they had to leave, and that they described all irregular activities violations against law importantly i dont think anyone honest can actually look at this video all of the evidence, that weve presented through testimony of very credible witnesses patriots coming forward explaining all violations of the law theyve seen cross six states i dont think about any honest person can look at this say yeah this was an election conducted fairly there is nothing to see here lets move on. How many votes do you think are implicated by this are you going to be able to prove this in court that this video is in fact suitcases i ballots i want your crew take there, if Governor Brian Kemp saying he wants a signature audit, because of this video. He wants a signature you had ait from his secretary of state, is that the right move that is enough to actually prove your case do you think to get a signature audit . Well that is not really the things audit would really help to see how many ballots were initially entered into certification challenge that are you fraudulent we could ask for that signature audit this video proves our point to why we need that you had a toilet your first question maria, there has been so much emphasis on the court and Judicial Branch mayor giuliani and i have also made our case over the last two weeks state legislatures, even without the courts intervening the state legislatures can take back authority and article rl two and, actually, stop the certification they can say no this election was fraudulent it was corrupted, and we are going to provide that remedy the state legislatures i think are the best option. We may open with what he get to Supreme Court i think that is indefinitely a viable path, but right now, the state legislatures are very interested they are very concerned, and over the hearings that weve had the last two weeks i do expect them to follow through on that. Maria so where do you see a victory from any state legislature . What do you think is the best possible outcome if you are dealing with state legislatures. What they can do under article two, is pass a resolution has to be simple majority say we are going to exercise our authority, and we see that the Election Results are false and fraudulent then it is up to the state legislature to determine how they cast their Electoral College votes how they cast delegation, in georgia would the hearing yesterday, the state senate there was very concerned, i do expect them to act, also in michigan, we had a great hearing the day before, in pennsylvania last week also in arizona so if these four states pass through state legislatures that will actually not only affect the outlook of this election will affect provide the opportunity for us to show that this election was irredeemably compromised there was so much fraud, importantly maria this is not just about overturning Election Results isnt just about getting trump reelected of course we are representing the president do i believe he won in landslide we have shown that can prove that this is about a fair and accurate result we were a system of free and Fair Elections in this country. Maria what about your judicial track . I know that pennsylvania case has reached the Supreme Court. Mike kelly, of course, pushing the idea that ballots and the mailin ballots, the absentee ballots, the ruled are in changed when are you expecting to hear from the Supreme Court on pennsylvania . Importantly, the Trump Campaign only currently has four lawsuits so you the is one of the democrats favorite talking points to say he wants 39 times that is completely not true there are a lot of interested parties who have moved forward, cases, because they see the same concerns, they are interested in preserving Election Integrity as well from mike kelly he does have a great case, i do expect that that to get to the Supreme Court. But as far as the Trump Campaign, and our issue judicial challenges initially we start injunction or halt on certification, of course, those did move forward we are appealing he directly to state legislature we still have a lot of options viables pathwayss to get to the Supreme Court do i expect examine ultimately you that will happen unless state legislatures do step in, if they do step in then we wont need a remedy from Judicial Branch and that is why the state legislatures are actually, the entity under the u. S. Constitution, that can provide the best they are closest to people they are the people that that we, the people elected to represent us, and that is why the constitution gives them that authority so we are really he hopeful that will act quickly. Who controls the state legislature then . Who who ultimately decides in the state legislature . So it would have to be a resolution that is house and senate by simple majority, actually all of these states there is a gop majority, and so we are hopeful this wont be political, it wont be partisan it will be american, with these state legislators working very honestly at all the evidence in witnesses and now video in georgia, of all of the Election Integrity issues and compromise and corruption, of this election. Maria all right jenna thanks very as much we will be watching jenna ellis joining us this morning a short bleak. Maria welcome back coronavirus pandemic wreeb wreaking havoc pushing many out of work nearly four million americans stopped working altogether for looking for jobs since pandemic two major groups severely impacted by this baby boomers had to look into retiring early, and women, women forced into staying home, instead to carry for their children. Of those two groups that had a serious impact ryan, this is not an easy transition to get back into the workforce, especially since so many questions out there, about when schools will reopen. That hits home for me 70 firm women my colleague on your show yesterday i think having some sort of childcare support has to be huge in the future i think at this point in my opinion women are going to run the world my two cents on that one thing to o look at positively, weve got unemployment coming down without a vaccine, to literally under 7 that is phenomenal and dr. Amash mentioned this summer could have mass distribution i expect numbers to get much, much better a lot of work has to be done especially around women in the workplace one hundred percent maria. Unfortunately you see impact of this literally later on the impact of kids learning from home loss of income as a result of that you see that show up later on so there are longterm issues we will continue to look at talk about lets slip in a short break a few minutes away from november jobs report all hands on deck breaking down everything you need to know about jobs in america right after this, stay with us. November jobs report due out in about 5 7 minutes economists expecting 469,000 jobs added to economy last month Unemployment Rate is expected to kick down for a seventh month in a row to 6. joining us to break it down Freedom Works economist trump Economic Advisory steve moore joining, workforce analyst Joanie Courtney the wall street journal Senior WriterJon Hilsenrath u. S. Bank Wealth Management sr. , Vice President traditional investment head Lisa Erickson the panel this morning ryan payne, Brian Brenberg thank you so much for being here Jon Hilsenrath kick us off you have been watching this economy a student of this economy for so many years where are we right now . Assess. Well, we are a little bit more than halfway through a Recovery Process from the shutdowns that happened in april, march and april. You know. What i am looking for in this report is basically, progress. Continued declines Unemployment Rate hundreds of thousands of jobs being added back, to payrolls, the bad news is the progress has slowed in the last few months good news is we have a vaccine coming, down the pike hopefully it can pick up. Maria yeah, a you are right. I mean the atlanta fed looking at 11. 1 growth in Fourth Quarter and yet the numbers we saw, in the last couple of weeks, indicate a little bit of a slowdown what lets slip in a short break all handson deck november jobs report right after this. Stay with us. Maria welcome back. Good friday morning. Thanks so much for joining us it is a jobs friday, december 4, to look market ahead of november jobs report we will be getting in about a minute and a halftime future green dow industrials up 120 dow poised to open above 30,000 nasdaq 35u7 s p 500, up 10 1 2 quarter of one percent the november jobs report due out nust just a few moments economists expecting jobs created in have none of november 469,000 jobs added with Unemployment Rate ticking down, for a 7th month in a row even though looking at good numbers steve moore we did see some slowing, in the last month or so, issue whats going on with jobs in your view. This is swiftest most powerful recovery we have ever seen in American History i was looking at numbers from Congressional Budget OfficeFederal Reserve bank estimating six months ago thinking we would have Unemployment Rate 10, 12u, 12 if right we go to 6. 8 that would be an incredible spectacular achievement one quick point we are so right, maria, that the most important stimulus right now from the for the economy, and to get people back to work to open up the schools across america so women can go back to work. A lot of people upset about that i know our viewers are want to hear progress here, they are at home, taking carry of kids because kids not in school the markets trading up ahead of jobs number see if we actually solid growth in jobs in the month of november, given the fact that we did see some slowdown in the last month or so, as most recent jobless claims Economic Data right to edward has the numbers edward. A little bit miss top line 245,000 jobs added to economy month of november but Unemployment Rate ticked down to 6. 7 when you look inside some numbers you talk about, are lets look at the Transportation Warehousing bidder 145,000 jobs o november, progressively business services, added 60,000 jobs health care added 46,000 jobs, in november, here you can look at construction, gains 27,000 jobs manufacturing, o employment increased 27,000, so a little bit lower than expected, a lot of financial activities added 15,000 now government o employment declined third coronavirus minidecreasing by 99,000 jobs looking for some real not seeing that as of yet but when we get to it we will certainly get back to you, as i said 245,000 jobs created or added to the economy, in november, down on the Unemployment Rate to 6. 7 i will continuing to through these get you more maria. I am glad you mentioned retail edward, because that is really one of the areas we want to look at, brick and mortar had massive trouble even though you are looking at spikes, when it comes to online, any word on job creation in retail yet edward. Yes retail added 35,000 jobs, in the month of november, this is is you know if you look through this it says, that unemployment retail is 550,000 lower in an in february so they did add some back. But, again, it is lower than it was, in february by 550,000 jobs, movement to create there, Leisure Hospitality another one november added 31,000 jobs but down, 3. 4 million jobs,s since february, us he know art entertainment recreation add 43,000 jobs big sooeshgz Leisure Hospitality not as many jobs they wanted not back to february levels, maria. Maria thank you edward why what do you make of this report. Im sorry . Yeah absolutely, itz is disappointing, maria but would i say not cause for immediate alarm, certainly we would have liked numbers to be a little closer to consensus i think there is a lot of no one pasteur tos turing going on to immediate judge mute be premature the retail sales think i we know going in, holiday period was very unusual because of increased shifts to online, so again, you know some of those numbers were to be expected in addition some census workers continuing to come off rolls we did see flattening economic numbers in other areas, and so overall you know our sense going in was that we would see a moderation could have been downsize in price i think what we got if you look at earlier progress steven was talking about nice recovery, since the lows in march, and you know what we really need to see in this ongoing period, is really, basically, an economy that is hold its own again until we can, you know, continue to make progress and next few months to those machinations. What do you make 6. 7 Unemployment Rate lisa that is, obviously, a good number, it looks like we are improving but did something happen in october and in november to cause things to slow down again . Do you think it was a spike in coronavirus . Yeah, absolutely. So you know specifically on Unemployment Rate really nice number again what i want to get a little bit more sense of is looking behind that interesting to see what is going on with that Participation Rate that is key for two reasons, one is you know obviously, the influence on unemployment, because to the extent the people dropping out of the workforce, useful got to that i can that a little bit with a grain of salt, the concern own longer term, you know, potential for people being just out of work having more difficulty in if returning or unwillingness to return. But, you know, i think you again, some trends explainable to your point what were seeing really that surge in coronavirus, on top of business being cautious, with managing cost structures you are going to have that, you know, confluence to explain some of the flattening in activity. Maria would i jump in on Unemployment Rate. Maria go ahead jon. Well, i think lisa hit a really important point, it was the case last month Participation Rate fell and labor fosters fell what that means government counting fewer people unemployed because fewer people were saying they are were in Labor Force Labor force dropped by 200,000 that is not a great number, the decline looks on surface like something good, but it actually underneath the headline it is not why you would want to see announcement rate going down, in that same piece the employed level went down a little bit too so that part of this report isnt great and it supports the thesis lisa was talking about we did see a slowdown last month we got to keep an eye on that. Maria look, what about the revisions that we are seeing . You have jon october payrolls revised to 610,000, september was revised, 711,000. That that is all good news but i think the thing weve got to be look to go are right now is continued progress, those revisions are great the earlier bounceback we got was great. What were seeing now is a slowdown, you know, coronavirus spreads over the last month or two, you know, i think we are going to continue to see that, it puts the imperative back on on the vaccines we really need to see vaccines get out there to get this economy into this next stage of recovery. Maria yeah, we probably need to see some kind of stimulus. Joanie i always ask you to identify where are the jobs, lets talk about it because there are some people that are really hurting out there, needing some kind of a relief, but there was a decline in jobs in if government certainly increasing jobs in have a number of industries where are the jobs now joanie . Maria, i was looking at different data point last night some the hottest jobs out there right now jobs that are in strongest demand are certainly in the health care sector, nurses aide home health aides, you nurses very strong then you also look at transportation and logistics we saw that, in this report. That is one of the hottest sectors right now it is because, you think of our economy, we are all purchasing everything on line. No one otherwise going to the stores so i am not surprised we didnt see stronger retail number. We are now seeing that job growth in logistics, transportation, and warehousing and those jobs are paying well we are seeing some big jumps in the hourly rate, so, when you look at this you know the overall workforce, are lost so many jobs in Leisure Hospitality, restaurants, retail, think of the airline industry. Many of those workers really need to start thinking about the industries that are doing well, and there are great jobs out there. Maria yeah. The other sector i want to mention is i. T. You dont necessarily need a College Degree but you do need you know certain skill, that you can online we see Web Developers salary up 70,000, software developersual salary over 100,000 so those jobs are also some of the hottest jobs in demand, it is a good job market but you really need to look at the industrys, that are doing well. Maria yeah interesting bruin brian that one area that we actually saw, a decline in jobs is retail. Going into the Holiday Season, not a good look, for retail, but brick and mortar has really been hit hard in this pandemic. To me, maria this jobs report looks like the shutdown report if you look at the headline number the number of jobs gained, then you look at areas like retail, where you saw decrease when you look at Participation Rate dropped to 671. 5 61. 5 in november bad news people are saying i cant get jobs locked down shut down businesses er arent hiring they have so up of uncertainty all of that is flowing into the opportunitys here the opportunities are fb had been diminishing to me i look at this reported i say this report is you know piece of evidence he number one, why weve got to get away from lockdowns because it is starting to flow through the real economy, hitting businesses, not getting the gains we need to get a full recovery we are getting full recovery pushed off to 20. 2 or beyond if theory at this rate. Maria ryan look what happens came september with realizations, in acceptance you had what, 711,000 jobs, in month of september, that was revised, in october, you have 610,000 jobs another revision in november 245,000. So the number of jobs created has gone down, down, down, from september he october to november. Indicating clearly a weak spot or slowdown in recovery. Yeah remember too one sunny day doesnt make a summer jobless numbers coming down not a linear thing i think we have to look at the again there are great jobs logistics warehousing construction other thing going on a bona fide housing boom really carrying the torch with recovery i think we think about the fact steve said best we thought getting 11 unemployment right now i think we cant discount how phenomenal this economic recovery has been it is going to slow the economy isnt reopened but the fact we are here maria we dont have economy fully reopened a housing boom . When economy fully reopens it is going to be gangbusters the way i see it. Lisa do you agree with that what are the most important points that you want to point to in terms of this recovery . You no know, this week talking a lot about synchronized growth also talked about business, investment, nancy lazar thinks we are going to see capital xvpdz boom in year ahead what is most important to you, are when considering a recovery lizza. Well, to your point maria we really got i think the base for nice recovery in 2021 for general economy hopefully seeing improvements flow through to jobs, weve got accommodative monitoring environment businesses mining stores as well weve got a lot of resiliency in terms of house people have been able to adjust to huge difficulties, that being said i think the key issue again here is what i would call mining the gaps weve got a gap between, again, to the ability to more fully reopen, when we have more full vaccinations across the population, you know, in the meantime, we do have some of the benefits are expiring from the prior stimulus, and you know weve got this kind of moderating economic picture. So it is really about that ability for consumers in businesses to hold their own, and, you know, looking at, you know, what kinds of additional aid or resources, they can draw upon as well as how businesses continue to manage through this period. Maria yeah, you know what let me get to steve moore tell us about this oped you are out with this morning we want to ask you more about what your i pointing at a title of oped unemployment bonus proves harm lawmaker considering another trillion dollar you stimulus package you say hold on look what the past stimulus has already led to explain. Well, the dumbest thing we have done this year when he went to 600 dollar a week unemployment benefits, that had a very negative effect just unquestionable the date crystalclear about this would he people from workforce they were getting paid in some cases twice as much for staying unemployed as going back to work remember what happened back in the late summer, maria, when they county was coming back big problem wall street journal frontpage story said employees are cant get people back to work because they were getting paid more not to work than to work. That is a dumb policy we estimate donald trump saved the economy four million jobs, by not agreeing to the pelosi stimulus, four million jobs were saved by not doing the exclusive stimulus bill what does that have to do where we are right now to you were talking about trilliondollar bipartisans stimulus bill, there is two things that cannot be in that bill number one, you cannot continue these bonus unemployment benefits, they are still paying a lot of workers more money to stay employed we have 6 1 2 million job options today in United States, second of all i highly object to the idea of blue state bailout because the reason we have this sort of is dispointing blue states are shutting down i do the the from california shutting down restaurants Outdoor Dining if you dont have businesses open, of course, you will see an increase in unemployment. A lot of uncertainty out there you are right more conversation about shutdowns whether or not going to be, worse than we thought, the first time. Let me get your take on the on the average, Hourly EarningsJon Hilsenrath, 3 a 10 of a percent threatenings are veriesises versus. We talk about the kshaped recovery if you are a skill white color worker can work behind your computer your with kitchen table, you are doing pretty well, in in this environment. You know, if you are and that leads to higher wages really lower skilled workers have to be in retail store have to be in plant or have to be on 2 airplane getting hit. And wages and jobs getting hit, you know the wage picture is a good one, for half of the economy and not the other half. You know, the other thing we have to talk about in talking about numbers, you know, why is this economy slowing down . Well, the virus is spreading shutdowns arent happening in a vacuum they are happening because we see more cases increased deaths. For me most important numbers today, are 276,000 that is how many people have died of the coronavirus, and this economy is not going to get back on its feet again, until we get that vaccine out into the public, and people have confidence that they can go out. Maria a brian basically job growth slowed every month, since june. Brian, now we are looking at the onset of winter. And whether or not winter deters spending adding on to worries about vaccine, and getting distributed the spike in cases. Weve seen a slowing for a while but november really took big fall of a cliff this number is much lower than weve seen in previous months yes virus itself spreading he probably not a lot we can do about that except for basic care measures we are making choices about when businesses shutting down we are the ones making choices about shutting down transparents we are the ones making choices about shutting down gyms we are the ones making choices about shuttedings down schools to me that is the big problem the wage number was better but i agree with jon folks at the lower end of income scale are prevented from going to work weve got a choice to make in winter months before we get the vaccine, we going to be smart about how we open and close things . Or is is this going to be driven i suggest we cant be ideologically driven peoples indices are on the line you can see right now they want to work, and they cant get out there and do it if we dont fix that, then the damage into 2021 could be bigger than everybody saying great we get a vaccine but if we do a lot of damage now that could drag on economy for a while. We are at important point here when it comes to policies how we manage shutdowns. Maria yeah so what do you think . Where will this policy go . They are talking about a stimulus package lameduck you heard what steve said. I share steves skerns about unemployment money sending out there i agree if you pay people more to say if at home they will do that, but the fact is, weve got to get things right on very basic fronts right now, one of them is education. If you are keeping kids away from the classroom you are keeping parents away from their work, and the heartening thing i think data on this is so clear, actually, that more and more people on both sides of the aisle are saying you know weve got to get kids back in school when you do that, you make it a heck of a lot easier for parents to go out work increase working hours, and get back out look for a job that is to critical to me, and i think this months report highlights that. Maria you are losing income on the table Joanie Courtney with at Home Learning the threat worry kids not getting the same kind of education, and because of that, are later on, years down the road they will see a decline in income pocket potential. I come from a family of teachers has been a conversation, that, you know, my sister, my brotherinlaw talking about how children are coming back to school, and they are so far behind. From where they, you know, should be. And so this is a challenge across america. And you know many are coming back to school, and they are trying to catch them up many students certainly, are still online, maybe getting some kind of hybrid model but it is going to affect the future of our workforce the future of getting younger children ready for high school and college, and then jobs in the future. But i want to come back to another point maria around unemployment but i think it is really important to make, and that is when we start looking at what states are actually hurting the hardest you know it is a very different picture. So you look at unemployment across the board, and it is not 6. 7 , but really if you look at nevada it is over 12 makes sense, right based on the industries that are in nevada. Want then you you look at new york over 9 . I think 9. 6, 9. 7 , new jersey is very high we also need to go past the numbers of this report because there are some states that are doing very well, and states have to stay open certainly florida where i am today you know is you wouldnt it is very different than new york economy and how things are in new york cities that is impacting the job market impacting the workers, and were going to continue to see some challenges here, until we get these states back up and running. You have to get people back to work, or they are going to leave the state, weve seen that, too 37. Maria going to be a while, i think even with a vaccine, distributed to a portion of the people, before yearend the stayathome economy is thriving in some ways we saw docu sign early report betterthanexpected earnings a stayathome stock docu sign up, up 5 he had lawrence has more on stayathome. Very interesting, you are seeing number of people who are telecommuting because of coronavirus is increasing from october to november, increased 21. 8 from 21. 2 that number had actually gone up from september to october now we are seeing more people that are staying away from the offices, because of the pandemic, now one more interesting fact, that 245,000 jobs, created added to the economy in november, the last time it was less than that, was april we lost more than 20 million jobs maria back to you. Maria ryan payne jump in what does this mean for investing . What do you see that is what do you see this market looking at docu sign, by the way, just mentioned that up better than 6 , Lisa Ericsson jump in in terms what have we are doing now during the pandemic, how you think that changes or, by the way, doesnt change after the paped how does that play into the Economic Growth story . Right, in terms of the pandemic obviously causing a lot more cautious as everybody pointed out, the inability to fully resume activity is a real issue but to your point there is a longerterm impact that you know it is not probably clear how Consumer Behavior is going to change jon characterized it well going to take not just some actual permanent increase nem of vaccines but how does Consumer Behavior change . Do people feel comfortable going out even if you have vaccines people have this issue around they dont know any particular situation what percent of people around them are vaccinated causes cautiousness in behavior in addition to speculation people are you more used to, you know edward was pointing out to being animal to work from home to shop only, some behavior is not going to come back i think those are the things we are going to have to continue to monitor that wont become clear for o, you know, quite sometime. Maria Jon Hilsenrath what are you looking at now from here er where do we go from here in terms of looking at 2021s economy what metrics are most important. I cant remember who said earlier it might have been ryan i do think this economy has enormous potential to come back and recovery from this crisis. But for me, it all starts and ends with covid19 and getting that thing under control. I think, you know, once the vaccine is out there, and we see this thing, you know pulled back, are i think this economy is kind of like a coiled spring can do really well. Were taking so much about numbers last two numbers i want to leave people with 276,000 people have died in less than a year because of coronavirus, in world war ii United States lost 400,000 people. So, at some point, over the next few months, we will have lost more people from this pandemic than we lost in world war ii that is why if economy is hurt some more frank plea so much frankly, that is why, i think, those numbers matter a heck of a lot more, than jobs right now. Weve got to get this under control, and then the economy is going to come back and going to do really well. Yeah, you make really good points Jon Ryan Payne what is your take on impact here . On investing . As a matter of fact are off the lows off the highs rather of the morning, we are still going to open above 30,000 on Dow Jones Industrial average but we have given back some of the some of the strength in the dow this morning. Yeah i think the market is bullish look the same song all year, economists strategies have gotten it wrong been too negative in prospect for future the market is ramping tons of money on sidelines cash cash right now has to get back in i think my clients, time to be blurb invested for a very, very Bright Future right in front of us, so i think more than anything else time is optimistic, maria. Maria steve you are optimistic, without any additional stimulus you are optimistic the things come back, without actually sending spending more money. That stofor me . Three quick final points number one the stimulus for the economy is the vaccine. It is it is really outrageous that Great Britain is going to have this vaccine before we do weve got fda to speed this up get out quickly will provide a lot of jobs second of all just to give a sense of how powerful this recovery has been, i think we are too down here, it took donald trump six months to get the Unemployment Rate down to 6. 7 took barack obama 6 years to do that incredible rate of economic progress you know i think the final point that i would make is lockdowns strip out a strategy even he World Health Organization has said that, joanies point so important we have 12 states right now that have Unemployment Rates less than 5 that are full employment all states have to get with program safely keep of businesses open. Maria yeah, a great point Lisa Erickson in terms of manufacturing, business investment, do you see things picking up, in terms of the community or uncertainty around yeah. So i think to your point, theres a lot of cautiousness both from whats going on with the general economy and how quick are we going to be able to resume Economic Activity thats the way it always goes. Get used to it. Maria im sorry. Go ahead, lisa. Yeah. Yeah. No worries. I think the other part, to your point, there is some uncertainty. Actually a key point is really the georgia races because i think to the extent that, you know, we do get the resolve of what i would call a blue ripple where the democrats managed to even out the odds there and therefore, have the upper hand with the Vice President being able to have the final say on the votes, that you know, certainly there could be some changes in regulation and tax policy that could impact corporate behavior. I think you see it in things today, you know, for example, where you have continued Companies Giving guidance that they are being more cautious on capex. It is having an impact. I think until some of that uncertainty can clear itself. Maria all right. Great to have everybody this morning. The dow industrials up 99 points. The nasdaq up 14. We got a strong market. The jobs numbers, falling short of expectations but nonetheless, we are seeing job growth. Steve moore, jon, lisa, ryan and Brian Brenberg, my honor to be with all of you today. Have a great weekend. I will see you this weekend on wall street. Got a big show. We will talk about real estate and the economy and on sunday morning futures, i have an exclusive interview with the director of National Intelligence. Hope you will join me. Have a great weekend. Thanks for being with us. Varney Company Begins right now. Stu, take it away. Stuart good morning, maria. Have a great weekend. Everyone, have a great weekend, if you can. Three big stories. The jobs report, california has backed a lockdown and the market rallies. Lets deal with jobs first of all. Just 245,000 new jobs last month. Clear evidence that the recovery in the job market is indeed cooling down. The Unemployment Rate dropped to 6. 7 . Thats good. So, too, is the news on Hourly Earnings, up again. Perhaps the slowing labor market will encourage a rescue package before year end. We shall see. Then theres california. Its about to put in
