Joining me now is chief investment officer, david bonson. Also joining the conversation this morning, Dagen Mcdowell, also, the coyo coauthor of myw book, James Freeman. Thanks for being here. David, let me kick it off with you. Your thoughts on what were seeing here take place as investors react to the potential for more economic lockdowns and a spike in coronavirus cases. Yeah. I would really focus on the first part of that sentence. I think investors have to respond to what they anticipate really bad policy decisions could end up being for mayors and governors. But i dont believe for a second it has anything to do with an increase in cases. We saw all the increase in cases throughout the summer. We were told in two weeks we were going to see armageddon again, over and over, florida, arizona, texas. It didnt happen and the market went up 3500 points throughout that whole period of time. Right now, maria, we have the week before the election. Anyone could have been predictinpredicting there wouldn elevation in volatility around the uncertainty of the election and then you see things like chicago closing down indoor restaurants with no cases being traced back to indoor dining. Investors have to worry about policy i idi ofocy. Thats what were responding to. Hospitalization rates are declining, fatality rates have totally collapsed. Theres a lot of good news on covid many were just not going to hear about it from a lot of the press. Maria wow. So you just do not like whats happening in terms of the reaction to these cases. James freeman, we wrote about this in the book, the tab for covid19 still being calculated. Jump in here. Yeah, i really hope that after the spring lockdowns and all of the Collateral Damage we saw, all of the economic damage, all of the isolation and Mental Health problems and noncovid illnesses that get ignored a lockdown, its really discouraging to see politicians, david, putting this back on the table. But like you, im hopeful that as we see much lower death rates, despite all the noise, much lower numbers of people dying than we saw in the spring, im hoping that will encourage politicians not to go that route. But i guess one big question is the vaccine and i dont know how that plays into your thinking as an investor. Do you expect it soon . Do you think the wise course is to say maybe it never comes . Whats your thinking on a vaccine possibility . Well, i actually am using the word plural, because i think were going to have more than one vaccine and i think that after the elections done, some of the people that have taken their platform over the last couple of months to talk down the idea of a vaccine and stir up doubt in our society about the integrity of our medical process, which is the most sophisticated and successful in the world, all of a sudden i think those people are going to decide that they do believe in the efficacy of a vaccine. The market doesnt wonder if ones coming. The market knows one is coming. Now, the details we dont know, exactly when, what the distribution will be, who the winning players will be. I suspect youre going to have two or three companies with successful approved vaccines competing for business. So, no, it does play into our thinking, absolutely. Maria yeah. And i think what i hear you saying is after the election, were going to see a much different tone in terms of these lockdowns. Let me get your take an big tech this morning. The ceos of facebook, twitter, google set to testify before the Senate Commerce committee today, they will face questions over section 230 of the Communications Decency act, essentially shields them from lawsuit over content posted to their platforms because theyre posted by users. What are you expecting here . Is this a reason to sell these stocks . As you know, maria, because were big Dividend Growth investors in be bonson group, a lot of the fang names and big tech names are not investable for us anyways. I have to say, its a valuation story. If they were trading at 30, 40 times earnings going into this next level of regulation and inquisition, that would be one thing. But when you come into this with such a pre versely elevated valuation, theres no margin of error. So i think these things are on a risk reward basis. Very troublesome. We dont own them. I wouldnt want to own them right now. I also believe the whole conversation that plays out on big tech and its role in our society is nowhere near over. This is going to be ongoing. This is not going to be a one an done senate hearing. Im very confident of that. Maria both sides of the aisle really want to attack these companies because of the suppression of information. I mean, we just saw them suppressing information about hunter biden. Whats your take on the election and how this impacts money . The impact of a President Trump victory, for example, jp morgan is saying that an orderly win for the president could propel the s p 500 by 13 . But if the democrats sweep, the market would be mostly neutral. This is jp morgans new report this morning. Your reaction . Yeah, i always love those estimates, where 13 comes from and an orderly win. Maria funny. I agree, the market is not discounted the idea of an orderly win for trump. I dont think thats the most likely scenario. If President Trump is to win, i do think it will be a nailbiter and probably take a couple of weeks for votes and so forth to come in. The Biggest Issue to me, though, with markets will be the senate. Because if we have some inclination next tuesday that joe bidens going to win, but it looks like the republicans can hold the senate, then i think thats going to be far more impactful to markets, to be able to hold the senate so that some of the crazier parts of bidens agenda cannot be implemented. Maria all right. We will leave it there. David, good to see you this morning. Thanks very much. Well be watching growth difficult pendividend payers. Weve got a lot coming up, join us, Energy Secretary dianne brewette is here, hell talk about energy and how many jobs could be lost in fracking is banned. Maria welcome back. The race for the white house, the 2020 president ial election now just six short days away. This election will be like no other weve seen with early voting expected to hit record numbers and the specter of the pandemic hovering around this election. Joining us now is frank luntz. Hes been having interesting polling results about what voters are thinking. What are you seeing . First thing, i need to give you one statistic, maria. Which is that every time the Los Angeles Dodgers have won the world series in the last 35 years, every single time theyve won, the republicans have won the white house. Now, i dont know if thats a correlation. Maria oh, wow. Of i dont know i if you i dont know if you have conviction. I was there last night and at least there was one celebration. Maria thats good. It was quite an evening. Maria yeah. President trumps got that going for him. The la dodgers. Youve been speaking to a lot of voters, frank. What are the Biggest Issues of the election, you think . How are people voting . Frank, these polls have been consistent throughout and yet theres turnout that you see on the trump team that continues to surprise on the upside. So what do you think . Well, i look at the numbers now and the one that most interests me is expectations for whats going to happen next tuesday and youve got the polling numbers there. That even though biden is leading, most public polls, around 7, 8, 9 , only twothirds of joe bidens voters actually think that hes going to win. Conversely, 81 , four out of five trump voters think that their candidate is going to win. So on Election Night the assumption on both sides is that theyre going to be successful. So how the votes are counted, how quickly theyre counted, is going to have a tremendous impact on those first hours, right after the polls close and will have an impact on what the expectations will be as the night goes on, as the days go on and i emphasize days and what they expect to happen in the final count. Maria so what about that . What are the states that youre looking at . Is it simply looking at the swing states like pennsylvania or North Carolina that are critical in this election for President Trump . How do you think he can win . Well, the first thing for trump is that he must win florida and ohio and North Carolina. Those states are too close to call right now and every one of those states is required for republican to win nationwide. And on the democratic side, theyre looking at the three states in the industrial midwest, pennsylvania, michigan, and wisconsin. For them to be successful, they have to win those three states. Then the states that people are looking at, that might possibly go from democrat to republican, nevada and minnesota, those are the states that republicans are eyeing very carefully because they got a shot in those two states. So in reality, this is not a nationwide election. This is a state by state election. And in reality, the actual turnout right now, and i think youve got those numbers with you, joe biden is his voters are voting early. By two to one, trumps voters are going to vote on election day. Thats whats critical. How those people participate, if trump people come out trumps voters come out of the bomb pol, they still have a shot. Maria its interesting because your polling found interesting facts about voter confidence in how their votes in the Election Results will actually be couldnted. Exactly counted. Exactly. The key there is that for the First Time Ever in american history, one out of three voters are afraid that the votes wont be counted correctly. One in four are afraid their own vote wont be counted correctly. Weve then had that concern in the electoral system. Its something we should be paying attention to. Maria with all of these stories of ballots in the garbage and missing ballots, its raised a lot of concern. Frank, its great to see you. Love your insights. Thanks so much. Just remember that every time the dodgers win, the republicans win. Maria okay. You got it. La dodgers. Thank you so much. Frank luntz. Well be right back. Maria welcome back. A bombshell new interview in the hunter biden story, former business associate of hunter biden, Tony Bobulinski, sat down with fox news Tucker Carlson last night to talk about the foreign business dealings within the biden family and the former Vice President s denial of them. Watch. The former Vice President has said he had no knowledge whatsoever of the sons business dealings. Thats a blatant lie. In that debate he made a specific statement around questions around this from the president and ill be honest with you, i almost stood up and screamed liar and walked out because i was shocked that after four days or five days that they prepped for this, that the biden family is taking that position to the world. Maria a lot of details last night were presented from bobulinski. James freeman, your reaction . James well, i think he made a pretty persuasive case, backed with documents but joe biden has not been truthful about his involvement in his familys influence business. I think this guy should give americans a lot of concerns about biden family ties to china and its one of many countries where there were enormous amounts of money collected for activities that are pretty vaguely defined and for which the biden family doesnt seem particularly qualified, other than having that last name and proximity to joe biden. Maria yeah. What gets me, dagen, is this complete lack of attention to this story by the Mainstream Media. Once again, the president s critics are throwing aside all of the values that we deem important in a free democracy and, you know, pay to play, theyre not mentioning it. I mean, this is a real story and it shows joe biden may very well be compromised by china, compromised by ukraine and youve got no comments whatsoever, no reporting of it, of the Mainstream Media. Even after its so obvious that theres payouts here, tens of millions of payouts to hunter biden and potentially joe biden as well. James. Dagen you read my mind,. And the press, the media used to report on conflicts of interest that applied to joe biden during his nearly 50 years of work in the government, as a senator and then as a Vice President. The New York Times in 2008 wrote about how joe biden helped the credit card industry win pass aage of a law that made it harder for people to declare bankruptcy protection or file for bankruptcy protection, that benefited a company that hunter biden was working for as a consultant over five years. You can go through story after story after story of the press they used to point out these conflicts and raise questions and here they are completely in the bag for joe biden, joe bidens president ial campaign. Ill point to sorob amary, the Editorial Page Editor at the New York Post of. He tweeted this earlier. The New York Post reporting is still being dismissed as unverified russian disinformation and Silicon Valley billionaires are still censoring the post at the behest of democratic operatives. Thats how in the bag they are. Not only is the media not asking questions or trying to ask questions of joe biden and his campaign, but literally articles and reporting are being censored by the left wing controlled technology companies. You can be sure theyre going to be asked about that on capitol hill today. Maria absolutely. You know what gets me . For all of the reporting that we have done on china and how china has begun to eat americas lunch by theft, stealing, so they constantly want to force the transfer of technology, to think that there is a Chinese Company tied to the Chinese Communist government getting swift approvals through cfius because of his relationship with the biden family, i mean, these are National Security issues. Every day we talk about how china is stealing from the u. S. And trying to become the number one super power and here you have an open path from this Chinese Company, getting approvals from cfius. Go ahead, dagen. Dagen as an extension of that, i want to raise an issue. Im seeing more and more articles, hearing more and more talking points from democrats about oh, wall street, it is fine with a joe biden presidency because it will be smooth sailing and no more trade fights. Are the American People going to be satisfied if we once again lay down for communist china and allow that nation to steal our intellectual property but literally steal our jobs and livelihoods away from the American People. Are they okay with that . Maria and this relationship allows them to get approval from cfius to acquire companies to just force the transfer of technology. Its just outrageous. Were going to take a break. Were going to check out the market thats down almost 500 points right now and well be back in two minutes time. Stay with us. My name is henry. Even though i live with a higher risk of stroke due to afib. Not caused by a heart valve problem. So if theres a better treatment than warfarin, im reaching for that. Eliquis. Eliquis is proven to reduce stroke risk better than warfarin. Plus has significantly less major bleeding than warfarin. Eliquis is fdaapproved and has both. Whats next . Im on board. Dont stop taking eliquis unless your doctor tells you to, as stopping increases your risk of having a stroke. Eliquis can cause serious and in rare cases fatal bleeding. Dont take eliquis if you have an artificial heart valve or abnormal bleeding. While taking eliquis, you may bruise more easily and it may take longer than usual for any bleeding to stop. Seek immediate medical care for sudden signs of bleeding, like unusual bruising. Eliquis may increase your bleeding risk if you take certain medicines. Tell your doctor about all planned medical or dental procedures. Ask your doctor about eliquis. And if your ability to afford. Your medication has changed, we want to help. Maria welcome back. Good wednesday morning, everybody. Thanks so much for joining us, im maria bartiromo. It is wednesday, october 28th. Lets take a look at markets, 6 33 a. M. On the east coast. We have a selloff underway, futures indicating a decline of 420 points out of the gate, one andahalf percent. Nasdaq is down 117, and the s p lower by 43. Triple digit loss as investors are rattled over a new wave of coronavirus cases, which of course could spark more lockdowns, further hurt the rebounding economy, plus a lack of any stimulus deal before the election. Were looking at february now likely for any deal. Markets are extending a decline from yesterday. We had a pretty good selloff on the dow yesterday. The averages finished at the lows of the day. The dow and s p 500 finishing at the lows with a 222 point selloff on the dow, s p down 10 points, the nasdaq was up 72 points, breaking an otherwise weak p trend. European markets are lower, stocks are hitting lows not seen since may as france is mulling a National Lockdown, reports of a National Lockdown. It is becoming the epicenter of the coronavirus cases spiking in europe. As you see, the fq100 is down 81, cac is down 117 points, thats two andahalf percent in france. The dax index down 329 points, two and three quarters percent lower in germany. A mixed story in asia, fractional moves, we did have weakness in hong kong and japan by a third of a percent or so. Maria we want to look at tesla, taking on tesla, fisker is getting in on the electric car game, beginning with the manufacturing of the ocean suv. Its getting ready to launch an ipo under a new partnership with spartan energy. Joining us now, henrick fisker. Assess the market for us. We have looked at tesla. The market seems to be expanding. Tell me how you see it right now and the potential for growth. I think the big growth good morning, maria, by the way. You got me up early here in california. Maria [ laughter ] the big growth is going to happen i think in 2024, 25. Thats when youre going to see more than i believe 20 of all vehicles being sold being electric and by 2030 of, definitely well over 50 . I think the entire industry have already realized were going electric. Its only a matter now when, when is the big shift happening but were definitely going to go electric. Maria what do you need to see in order for this story to take hold and stick to those targets in terms of when well actually see this really materialize in a big way . Well, i think theres two things. One, we do need to have a full electric charging infrastructure and in fact its bigger than most people know. So its just not really common knowledge. We need a lot more sort of education about that we actually have quite a lot of electric chargers already. The second part is we need some cool cars. You cant force people to buy something they dont like and so far, you know, there havent been a lot of choice in electric vehicles. Yes, you mentioned tesla. But thats sort of been the only choice for a reasonable electric car. There really isnt a lot more other choice. Were bringing a real suv to market. Why is that important . Because that is the Fastest Growing segment in the world and there is no electric suv right now. Thats what were bringing to market and a i think thats going to help the growth a lot. Maria do you think the infrastructure will improve toward more charging station. We dont have enough chargers across the country to actually facilitate this. Well, theres two interesting things there. One is about 80 or 90 of all vehicle charges is happening at home. If you drive an electric car, which i do, you never go anywhere i mean, i think ive charged my car once at a super charger. But mainly you charge at home. But youre right, you do need eventually an infrastructure when you go on a trip so there is a lot of effort being done, several American Companies doing it and i think like i mentioned, by 2023, 24, we should see a comprehensive hefrastructure inn opurs. Secondly, i think wall street have kore realized that electric vehicles are not only coming but there might be a few other teslas that are going to come up in terms of having the valuations and value and impact on the market and i think thats the key. Maria yeah. For sure. And youre seeing real excitement and interest, demand on the part of investors, so thats great for you. A minute ago you mentioned we need better cars. The electric car market is actually seeing a surge in new models. I think our audience would like to see some of these wheels. The announcement of your ocean suv, how would you say your car is different from a tesla . Tell us about this beautiful suv here that were going to look at in a moment. Well, first of all, its an suv so its not a hatchback which most of the electric vehicles are. So its a real suv, when you look at it. Its got a ton of features that no other car has. We having called california mode. You can roll down all the windows with the push of one button including the rear hatch. You can throw in stuff in the rear window without opening the hatch. And then i want to get your take on the impact on jobs and the economy is from fracking. Thanks, maria. Great to be with you. Yes, i am in pittsburgh. I did visit a natural gas well yesterday. Its a very important technology. You just mentioned the executive order of. I wont comment on that specifically because theyre still in the process of stretching it. What we want to do is study the impact of this technology on the u. S. Economy and i might tell you that this is the technology that produced the largest increase in our natural Gas Production and Oil Production all across the world. We are the largest producer of ail and gas in the world, larger than saudi arabia, larger than russia. And much of that production is coming from places like pennsylvania where i am now. So what we want to do is understand the exact economic impact, if we took that away. What the u. S. Chamber of commerce tells me is if you took it away you would lose approximately 19 million jobs here in the United States. So were very, very interested in it. We want to know more about it. And well be studying it at the u. S. Department of energy. Maria yeah. I mean, im looking at an American PetroleumInstitute Report right now and it says that the proposals to ban hydraulic fracking, if theyre complete, then by 2022 that would cost up to 7. 5 million jobs and up to 10. 9 million oil and gas industry jobs based on apis preliminary findings. Of course, secretary, this is why the flipflopping on fracking from Vice President biden has been spoken about so much. He recently said this on the campaign trail, that he wouldnt ban fracking but if elected that hasnt always been the case. Take a look. Let me make it clear. Im not shutting down oilfields. Im not eliminating fracking. Im investing in clean energy. Would there be any place for fossil fuels including coal and fracking in a buy done administration . Biden administration. No, we would work it out. We would make sure its eliminated. Joe biden will not of end fracking, he has been very clear about that. Theres no question im in favor of banning fracking. Maria secretary, your reaction to that . And i think one takeaway here is that these jobs are high paying jobs. There is a real skill associated with fracking and in the oil industry. So in some cases youre talking about high salaries that will be eliminated. Thats exactly right, maria. I cant comment directly to mr. Bidens comments. There are policy makers in d. C. Who want to eliminate not only the technology but the entire fossil fuel industry and word to the wise here. When they say things like that, when they say they want to eliminate oil of, when they say they want to eliminate gas, a word to the wise. Believe them. Believe them. They almost did it with coal during the last three to four years. The industry is on its heels, if you will. And were bringing it back very strongly. But these are very real policies that theyre considering and its important for people to consider that. And you need to take the longer view. What is it that were doing here . Were now Energy Independent as the president has said. Were no longer dependent upon the middle east for the provision of crude oil or gas. And thats important for us to understand as americans. We can do things we couldnt do 10 o10 or 15 years ago. As we exit the pandemic and as we think about what goes on here, the elimination of 19 million jobs in this industry during a pandemic would be devastating. Not only that, maria, when we think about the common things that we see and we do every day, all those plexiglass things that you see on peoples desks, guess what theyre made out of . Theyre made out of fossil fuels. Theyre made out of petrochemicals that come from this particular industry. So when you say you want to end that industry, what youre saying is you want to eastbound those products is you wand to end those products as well. Thats whats missing in the overall debate in washington, d. C. Maria we just had a whole segment on electric vehicles. You can have a policy where you are continuing fracking, continuing to create new jobs in oil and gas, but also sidebyside have a policy on electric, right . No, thats right. It really does. We have to upgrade both our grid and our generation facilities, which we need 24 7, which depends upon oil and gas for the he production of electricity. So 80 of the worlds electricity in the world comes from oil and gas. Maria thats a really important point. Im glad you make it. Sec, its great to see you this morning, thanks very much. Your Furry Friends tail wagging isnt necessarily a sign theyre happy to see you, you know. They may be just talking to you. Studies show its their way of communicating and can display excitement, anxiety, even anger. Dagen, what do you think your dogs tails tell you . Dagen absolutely nothing. I know the tails are wagging. You call this tail talk. Apparently speed is a variable in trying to analyze a dogs tail wagging. I did learn one thing, that dogs dont wag their tails when theyre alone. They have to be around other animals, other dogs, and people, so how boring. Maria let me ask you. We are seeing pictures of dale and charlie. Theres dusty. When i was looking at charlie and dale, yo now, dale is new yu to the family, dagen. How long did it take for dale and charlie to become best buds. Dagen instantaneously. Charlies just very maria thats so great. Dagen its not always the case. Dale wags his tail all the time, by the way. The only unfortunate thing, and ill be brief, charlies been gravely ill for the last week. He was in intensive care and hes still not better. Dale doesnt understand that, that dales energy level hasnt changed. Hes like its dale needs to grow up a little bit. [ laughter ] maria im sorry to hear that. Dagen its okay. Maria i always wanted to get a second dog for dusty but she loves being an only child so im sort of not sure about it. But thats why i wanted to know, how long it took. James, let me ask you, staying safe on your strolls, a personal security app appropriately called bond is helping keep the average joe safe in the big city. You can call for your own personal body guard or just get a ride when youre feeling uncomfortable. Do you need a personal guard . James well, you know, i saw that story and i thought is new york city really that bad already . But apparently its just kind of demonstration that theres an app for everything. You can book by the half hour. The problem is, when you walk in somewhere with a body guard, people will think youre important and then they go oh, youre not a movie star, well, what are you doing with a body guard. So it can create some awkward moments. [ laughter ] it would for me, put it that way. Maria funny. It is wednesday, october 28. Your top stories, 7 00 a. M. On the east coast. A market selloff is underway. Futures indicating a triple digit loss at the start of trading this morning, the dow industrials down 458 points rights now, nasdaq down 143, s p lower by 48. Investors are rattled over a new wave of coronavirus cases, it could spark more lockdowns and further hurt the rebounding economy. Plus, the lack of a stimulus deal before the election. This is an extension of yesterdays selling because markets finished in the red yesterday as well with the exception of the nasdaq. The dow and s p 500 finished near session lows with a decline of 222 points, the s p down 10 and a quarter. Look at the nasdaq, it was up 72 andahalf. Breaking an otherwise weak trend. We are counting down to novembes six days away before americans head to the polls. President trump and joe biden in the final stretch of their respective campaigns. Hear from congressman guy reschenthaler, coming up, tom fiten and ron johnson about the bombshell report and what comes next. Earnings season is rolling on, heavy hitters reporting this morning include boeing, ups, General Electric and anthem reporting better than expected earnings this morning. You did have some gains in korea as well as in china, fractional moves but the weakness was in hong kong, nikkei again down about a third of a percent in japan and hong kong. Some of the top stories this morning. Six days to go until election day. President trump taking his Campaign Across the nation in the final week. Making two stops in battleground state arizona later today. Meanwhile, joe biden will give a speech on his plans to combat the coronavirus from his home in delaware. A biden bombshell, the former business associate of hunter biden, Tony Bobulinski, sat down last night with fox news Tucker Carlson over the allegations of corruption within the biden family. Watch. Former Vice President has said he had no knowledge whatsoever of the sons business dealings and was not involved in them. Thats a blatant lie. When he states that, that is a blatant lie. Maria bobulinski said he met facetoface with joe biden about china and the companies they were going to invest, almost walked out of last weeks debate he said when joe biden was asked about his sons laptop. Coronavirus cases still surging across the country this morning, nearly half a million meme in the United States people in the United States have tested positive for the virus in the past seven days. Hospitalizations are higher, theyre shooting up 13 . This as france emerge as the new epicenter in the european second wave, president Emmanuel Macron is considering new restrictions as the nation reports the highest death toll since april, thats in france. A second night of unrest in philadelphia after Police Killed a black man armed with a knife. Looters are seeing ransacking businesses, carrying away tvs, appliances, even christmas trees. The destruction coming hours after Walter Wallace juniors family pleaded with the public to stop the violence. I dont condone no violence, tearing up the city, looting the stores, and all the chaos going on. I would just ask everybody have respect for my family and my son to stop this violence and chaos going on in the city. Maria police say they ordered wallace junior who had a criminal history to drop the knife but he kept advancing at officers with it who then each fired at him seven times. Big tech on the hill, facebooks Mark Zuckerberg, twitters jack dorsey and Googles Sundar Pichai set to testify today over a law that shields these companies from liability for user generated content. The ceos are expected to say the law is vital for Free Expression on the internet. Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle have called into question the companys moderation decisions. Next hour, Senate CommerceCommittee Chairman roger wicker is here previewing todays hearing. Time for the word on wall street, top investors watching your money. Joining me now is danielle hughes, principal of the fitzgerald group, celt Keith Fitzgerald and daiived nelson. Thank you for being here many markets are down 472 points. Looks like well get a selloff of 500 points out of the gate this morning. The increase in global coronavirus cases, an issue obviously. Stimulus uncertainty, a deal unlikely until after the election right now and what does all of this mean for the lockdowns that were all talking about . Weve got another big day of earnings on tap. Were waiting on boeing later this hour. And visa and am gen will be reporting after the bell. Whats your take in terms of where we are in this market. Should we be buying into this selloff or take to the sidelines . Maria, were expecting more of a broad retreat that started earlier this week and earnings really mattered a couple of weeks ago but right now theyre kind of of on the back burner. I think that investors should be paying attention to whats hitting the tape in terms of earnings, even though all of the coronavirus issues and the lockdowns in europe and the considered lockdowns here are obviously taking their toll on the markets. We had some really good points earlier this week, housing prices, durable good orders were very significant, positive gdp numbers coming up tomorrow with that first read and thats expected to just blow the top off of things. The gdp collapsed by 31. 4 in the second quarter, some analysts are saying that there could be a rebound in the range of 20 on the low end to 35 on the high end some were certainly watching the economic numbers which i think are a much bigger tell. Earnings im really watching, ups which just came out, huge beat. Domestic package revenue up 15. 5 . Theres a surge in residential volume because of covid19. So were watching that. Ford and gilead also reporting after the close and well keep our eye on those as well. Maria yeah, i mean, thats a great indicator to look at ups. That speaks right to shopping, delivery and to the strength of the consumer and the economy. So were going to look at that as well. Keith, let me ask you about big tech. Ceos from facebook, twitter and google set to appear before the Senate Commerce committee today, theyll face questions over section 230. The law essentially shields them from any lawsuits over content posted to their platforms because its posted by users. What do you expect today . Is this a reason to make changes in your portfolio if you own these names . You know, i dont think its a reason to make changes in the portfolio if you own these names yet. However, i think that theyre going to tow the party line. I think theyll say we need this protection to promote free speech and equality. I would have a hard time arguing that they deserve the protection, theyre prohibiting or permitting or encouraging slander or libelous content. Maria i think they still have the Ayatollah Khomeini from iran tweeting on twitter, yet they keep pulling stuff on Donald Trumps tweets. Go figure. Go ahead, david, you want to Say Something . Its preposterous. Maria exactly. Yeah. Let me ask you about the consumer, david. The Consumer Confidence number coming in lower than expected yesterday, one interesting trend over the past few months has been the uptick in the consumer and jeans sales, mens jeans doing well, lots of Consumer Products doing well, factors include months of quarantining in sweat pants, cold weather on the horizon. Do you see any change to the strength in the consumer right now, david . Were looking at levi strauss because its one of the consumer goods that has done well as a result of the strong consumer. What do you make of the Consumer Confidence number . I can understand why were all wearing jeans because were all working from home and it makes sense in an information based world, very often im sitting in front of you and im wearing jeans on my little set here. On the Consumer Confidence number, whats disturbing about the number is that Current Conditions were okay, maybe better than expected. Future expectations are worse. I think there may be some concern of fatigue surrounding the election, some potential concern about the potential of rising taxes. I think the biggest concern is some of these shutdowns that youre starting to see around the country, right in new york, right in new york city, starting to shut down every time the virus rises. One of two things is going to happen. Either we have to cut the legs off the virus or we have to find ways to go back to work. Maria look, as you were talking, actually the markets taken another leg down, can you futures down 520 points right now as covid is gripping this market. Do you want to buy the weakness or get out of the way . Well, im fully in on the equities side right now so if i want to buy something, ive got to sell something. You might see me reposition in an environment like that, and upgrade the portfolio. Right now, im fully in. Maria all right. We will leave it there. Danielle, keith, david, great word on wall street, guys. Thank you so much for being here. When we come back, pennsylvania congressman guy reschenthaler is here, hell weigh in on the 2020 race, the fight for the swing state that he represents, pennsylvania is going to be important in telex. Then well hear from jason miller, see how the president s schedule, the rally schedule is going with six days to go, what are the president s plans. Here with me all morning, Dagen Mcdowell and james free man. We have a lot to talk about with them, coming back after this short break. Youre watching mornings with maria live on fox business. Stay with us i knew about the tremors. But when i started seeing things, i didnt know what was happening. So i kept it in. He started believing things that werent true. I knew something was wrong. But i didnt say a word. During the course of their disease around 50 of people with parkinsons may experience hallucinations or delusions. But now, doctors are prescribing nuplazid. Tell your doctor about any changes in medicines youre taking. The most common side effects are swelling of the arms and legs and confusion. We spoke up and it made all the difference. Ask your parkinsons specialist about nuplazid. Maria welcome back. The hunter biden bombshell continues, a former biden family associate, Tony Bobulinski, this is a business associate of hunter biden, he spoke out in an interview with fox news Tucker Carlson last night. He says joe biden had a hand in son Hunter Bidens dealings and hes denied it repeatedly. Watch this. The former Vice President has said he had no knowledge whatsoever of the sons business dealings. Thats a blatant lie and in that debate he made a specific statement around questions around this from the president and ill be honest with you, i almost stood up and screamed liar and walked out because i was shocked that after four days or five days that they prepped for this, that the biden family is taking that position to the world. Maria joining me right now is pennsylvania congressman on the judiciary and Foreign Affairs committee, guy reschenthaler. Great to see you. Thanks very much for being here. Youre on the judiciary committee. Do you think your committee should be subpoenaing hunter biden . I think we should. I think we should have had a subpoena out on him before. Weve got to remember that mueller spent millions of dollars during this investigation. You had the press covering the russia hoax which was really a conspiracy theory. Mueller did not do a good job looking into what the bidens were doing in ukraine and i think we need to see what chris wray at the fbi did with this laptop. If that laptop was sitting around at the fbi for a year or more without them investigating it, sitting on this, and then Christopher Wray should be fired. People have not done their jobs, maria, especially the Mainstream Media. The way they covered the trump russia hoax and then let this stand by itself without covering it is shameful. Maria it rea really is shamef. Last night we saw a lot of important moments that people really need to look at and take a moment to understand. I mean, bobulinski said that when he told his other partners that he was going to go public until they said they cleared his name and stopped calling it russian disinformation, he said the associate said well, wait, youre youll bury all of us if you go public with that. That was one incredible moment. And then when bobulinski asked jim biden arent you guys yo you afraid that people will say this is wrong, that were doing dealings with a Chinese Company and that Chinese Company is going to do a deal with rothnet of russia and joes brother looks at bobulinski and says yeah, plausible deniability. I mean, all of this was right in the open last night and you still dont see a word of it on the Mainstream Media. They are covering joe biden. And you have facts that support it, maria. You have the actions of hunter biden. You have the money that was coming from burisma. You have the money that was coming from the russian oligarchs, the 1. 5 billion that flowed to hunter biden in that fund from china. You also have the fact that joe biden and the Biden Campaign have not denied any of these allegations. They refuse to take questions. That says a lot about this story. And again, if this were one of the trump family members, the media would be all over it. The bias is very clear here, the Mainstream Media is in the bag for joe biden. Maria yeah. For sure. All right. Let me ask you about whats going on in your backyard. We had another night of unrest in pennsylvania, looting and demonstrations breaking out in philadelphia overnight following the Police Shooting of a black man on monday afternoon, congressman. Several arrests have already been made. What is it going to take to put law and order back into the streets of philadelphia . Well, we can start, maria, with the governor. We have a very far left governor, Governor Wolf who mishandled the lockdowns. He also refused to condemn the violence and looting were seeing in philadelphia. He could stop this by calling in the national guard, by taking more action. He wont say anything about police getting attacked and stores being looted. This is really going to help republicans in the election because its obvious to everybody that if you are for law and order, if youre against the lawlessness, the looting, the violence riots that were seeing across the country, that you will stand with republicans and donald trump. The democrats from Governor Wolf in pennsylvania to joe biden, all the way down, have refused to condemn these violent actions. Maria yeah. I find that really incredible that we havent heard any disavowing of all of this stuff, were six days away from the election, congressman. President trump and joe biden are looking at key battleground states ahead of next tuesday including pennsylvania. What is the sense that you get in pennsylvania . You think voters are going to turn out next week in the keystone state . Are they going to turn out for trump or biden . How do you feel about these races . Maria, for me here in pennsylvania it feels a lot like 2016 where you have the media and the polls saying that President Trump is lagging but it feels like theres a lot of of ground swell for the president so my prediction is that trump wins pennsylvania come Election Night, probably by a much larger margin than people are anticipating. Ive got to caveat that. The voter fraud issues in pennsylvania are rampant. So i think that with three days after the election, thats the window where the democrat activists can go and harvest ballots, youll see those coming in and my prediction is that pennsylvania will be decided in a Court Dispute because of mailin voter fraud, youre going to see come in after the election. Maria wow. So i mean, if you lets say President Trump wins by x number of thousand ballots, you think that theyre going to say well, we found 5,000 ballots after the election and whatever it is it will put biden over the edge. Do you have the infrastructure in place to ensure to police that, congressman . How are you going to police that . Well, no, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court has actually made it hard for us to have poll of watchers at these locations to watch the votes get counted. The fact that theres three days after the election the democrat activists can manufacture these ballots, its very troubling. And given the democrats violence, theyre looting, the violent protests youve seen, voter fraud is the least violent thing they can do this election cycle. Maria unbelieveal. Congressman, good to see you this morning. Well be covering it all. Well have you back to talk about it. Congressman guy reschenthaler there in pennsylvania. Well be right back. Stay with us. Rebuilding the american economy, in a new wall street journal oped this morning, James Freeman writes the economic revival continues. He says it could get stronger without further lockdowns. Freemans writes in a reviving economy covid remains the principal concern. Fatality rates have been falling. Although you might not know it from much of the media coverage, daily deaths associated with the disease remain far below the spring peaks. James is here this morning. Talk about the potential dangers of reclosing this economy because youve got a selloff here, reacting to whats going on in europe where youve got france the epicenter and new lockdown measures being instituted. Yeah, it is a danger. We obviously saw with the spring shutdowns the enormous cost, trillions of dollars, historic plunges in the number of people working, unemployment rates we havent seen in decades. Weve seen also the really phenomenal recovery since then, more than 11 million jobs coming back and the news yesterday, very positive. Fifth straight month of durable goods orders rising. So this economy is really starting to hum again and we just need to avoid those lockdowns that are a very blunt instrument. Its not even clear how well or if at all they actually fight the virus. I think theres an emerging Scientific Consensus that you focus on protecting the vulnerable but you allow the rest of us to maintain the wealth that ultimately allows us to have good healthcare and to thrive and so im hoping politicians will avoid the lockdown craziness again. But it is a concern with these rising cases. Maria well, dagen, maybe theyll avoid it after the election. I dont see them making any changes before the election. This has become political. Dagen it has become political, like nancy pelosi dragging her fancy feet and not pushing through additional stimulus. No to essentially week after week to every sorry, somebody was talking in my ear. No every week to the proposals from the white house. And i was watching the i too watched the case fatality rates as compared to other nations and james, the United States is well below european nation after european nation in terms of the case fatality rate. That being said, i point to this market, the selloff in recent days. This is because investors are finally factoring in the possibility of a joe biden presidency. This is investors bracing for policies that will siphon resources away from not just private companies and the private sector but also american individuals. If you look at just the idea of transitioning away from the oil of industry because its dirty, that damages our economy across the board. It destroys millions of jobs which you talked about. It destroys communities that have prospered under the fracking boom. It also adds a regressive tax on literally every american. Thats just part of it. All these people who are spouting well, these investment banks say that they want a more stable trade relationship under biden, that investors arent worried about that, that investors, oh, it will be massive spending from the federal government. That just flys in the face of what we experienced for eight years under biden and obama. Maria yep, yep. Well, look, youve got wall street firms coming up with a biden portfolio versus a trump portfolio. Just to have a backup plan. We talk about this in the new book as well. Our book is out. It is called the cost, trump, china and american reviral. Reviral. It is out right now. Well be talking to grover nor norquist later on this morning as we deep dive into economic policy, ho. Thats why its time for Digital Currency and your investment in the grayscale funds. Go digital. Go grayscale. Maria welcome back. Good wednesday morning, everybody. Thanks so much for joining us, im maria bartiromo. It is wednesday, october 28. Lets take a look at markets, 7 31 a. M. On the east coast. Weve got a selloff underway. Futures indicating a decline of 500 points on the dow, the nasdaq is down 126, the s p 500 right now down 48, i think vesters are investors are rattled over a spike in the number of coronavirus cases. That could spark more lockdown, further hurt the rebounding economy. Tom reed told us if they dont get a stimulus done this week, its not happening until february. Todays declines are extending what was a market at the lows at the close yesterday, dow industrials down 222 points, that was about almost 1 . S p was down 10 and a quarter. The dow and s p finishing near session lows. The nasdaq was up 72 points yesterday on wall street. Quarterly earnings out for boeing. Cheryl casone with the numbers right now. Cheryl yeah. The fourth straight quarter of losses for boeing. This is a dow component. Its shaving off 8 points off of the dow right now. Going into the report it was taking 20 points off. Stock up half a percent. They did lose earnings per share. It was not as big of a loss as we expected. We were expecting a loss of 252 a share, they lost a buck 39 a share. Revenue coming in a little better than expected, the estimate was 13. 9 billion, they came in at 14. 14 billion. Thats still about 28 or so year over year declines on the revenue story. Big news obviously is the max. What theyre saying right now, they completed around 1400 tests, check flights and more than 3,000 flight hours right now on the max. They are expecting faa certification by the end of the year and the company is saying they expect to still start delivering and getting those planes back into the sky at the end of the year, the Fourth Quarter. Also really quick, they have a backlog of 4300 aircraft. They delivered about 28 planes. This is important of because deliveries is when the bulk of the cash comes into boeings bank accounts, if you will. So again, looking at the max, thats the big story. No more news on any layoffs or any other actually, excuse me, i send this back to you you. They are going to continue to lower overall Staffing Levels through natural attrition, voluntary, involuntary workforce reductions and they did record a lot of severance costs in the Third Quarter. Si want to say that American Airlines is actually going to be giving customers in the Fourth Quarter tours of the max, with the pilots standing right there at several airports across the country. This could be a positive for boeing. That wont be until the end of the quarter. Back to you. Maria its really interesting that American Airlines is doing that, cheryl. The stock is off of the highs, but we are looking at more job cuts and we are looking at more losses at boeing. This is the only stock within the dow industrials right now thats actually higher and as you see, it is losing some ground, its up now just a third of a percent, having given back much of the earlier rally. We are less than a week away from the 2020 president ial election. A new poll from the atlantic journal constitution finds joe biden holds a 1 lead over President Trump right now. That is in georgia. In texas, a New York Times poll shows President Trump with a 4 point lead over joe biden in texas. But in the national poll, joe biden is leading the president by 9 points. Joining me right now is trump 2020 president ial Campaign Senior advisor, jason miller. Good to have you this morning, good to see you. What do you make of these polls . I know the polls were totally wrong in 2016 but were seeing a tightening here. Are you believing the polls yet . Maria, good morning. Thank you for having me on. Its nice and early here in las vegas. Were actually seeing a lot of really Good Movement with the polls. The last two public polls that have come out in pennsylvania have had President Trump leading. Ithe last polls coming out in florida had him leading. Where we are right now in las vegas, we think were going to win nevada. This is very tight. Were doing an event this morning, two in arizona before we fly to florida this evening. This thing is tightening up. I cant leave out michigan. We saw a poll showing the president leading there. Wisconsin is tightening. This thing is going to be a barn burner. Maria youre really looking at all these swing states. Youre in nevada right now. Thats good to hear for you, that youre actually seeing good reaction from voters there. Tell me the path to winning for this president. President trump is headed to arizona today. Hes going to do two rallies in arizona. Joe biden on the other hand is keeping events limited. Hes giving a speech on the coronavirus from his home in delaware today, jason. Give us the path that you believe will lead to victory for the president and your take on the candidates schedules. Do you think bidens limited events will hurt him later on in the election cycle . Taking those in reverse order. I think the reason joe biden is off the trail today is he saw the Tucker Carlson interview with Tony Bobulinski. If i was joe bidens Campaign Manager i would tell him to do the same thing, stay hidden in the basement, dont go out and there and have to answer questions about the foreign business dealings with china, the fact that he lied to the american public. I think thats the real reason why sleepy joeys off the trail today. Its bizarre. Were in the final week of an election and joe biden is literally taking the day off. Its strange. When you talk pathway to victory, its simple. We need to hold the sun belt states and make sure we win one of the four upper midwest and mid atlantic states. Pennsylvania, wisconsin, michigan, minnesota, we win one of those four the president won three of the four the last go round, then he gets reelected. Maria i wonder about the bobulinski story and the story of Hunter Bidens big deals across the world, what joe biden knew about it and whether or not this blockbuster was coming out too late in the cycle to actually affect people, jason. Look at some of these quotes from last nights interview with tucker. Bobulinski says that joes brother said, well, if anybody asks us about it, plausible deniability. Another clip he says bobulinski says this was never just about hunter, that he met with joe biden a couple times and talked about the deals in china that they were doing. It was all about the biden family name, it gave you the biden lift in terms of doing business with hunter and his partners. But do you think most people understand what took place here . I mean, its a week before the election. Were just finding out these details. I think people do understand the broader issue of President Trump fighting the swamp and just as four years ago we saw the battle against clinton inc. Were seeing the battle against biden inc. This goround. Whether its former Vice President biden, his brothers, frank and james, or hunter, wevtheyve all had shady offshe money deals, trading off of the former Vice President s name for decades, literally. Thats how you they got rich. None of them were rich before Vice President biden got into office and they all traded off of his name. I think people do understand that and i think in particular when we talk about these upper midwest states, our pathway to victory, people get that joe biden was co cozying up to the samecountrier manufacturing jobs. Maria unbelievable. Jason, good to see you this morning. We will keep watching this. Thanks very much. Jason miller joining us. Be sure to join us a week from now on november 4th, the day after the election. Were going to be breaking down tuesdays historic Election Results. Well start at 5 00 a. M. Eastern. Former business associate of Hunter Biden Tony Bobulinski sitting down with foxs Tucker Carlson last night to talk about the foreign business dealings within the biden family and the former Vice President s denial of them. In that email, theres a statement where they go through the equity, jim bidens referenced as 10 , doesnt say biden, it says jim and then it has 10 for the big guy held by h. I thousand percent sit here and know that the big guy is referencing joe biden. Thats Crystal Clear to me because i lived it. I met with the former Vice President in person multiple times. Maria bobulinski also responding to claims by house intel Committee Chairman adam schiff that the hunter biden story was some kind of russian disinformation. I have a congressman out there speaking about russian disinformation or joe biden at a public debate referencing russian disinformation when he knows he sat facetoface with me, that i traveled around the world with his son and his brother, to say that an associate that with my name is absolutely disgusting to me. Maria joining me right now is the president of Judicial Watch, tom fiten and Judicial Watch has done an incredible job, youve done a great job in terms of getting the documents out into the public so we could see what has taken place in the 2016 coup to take down donald trump and now this. What was your reaction to the interview last night, tom . Well, its astonishing. You have a very credible witness coming forward that highlights that the biden family were running a rico type enterprise to launder money from abroad for their personal benefit and the fbi has been sitting on this for months. Evidently, theyve interviewed this witness, mr. Bobulinski. But your viewers should know there are Three Streams of evidence. Weve got the laptop, we have mr. Bobulinski who is on tv yesterday and has been public otherwise, we have another set of emails from their other Business Partner that also verify this. When he tells you theres no coop brace, theyre corroboration, theyre lying to you. Adam schiff is a liar when he talks about russian disversion disinformation. Any media that pushes that forward isen gaug engaged in tht dishonesty and propaganda. Many media organizations are making partisan decisions to suppress this, not for any news value, not on news issues but on political issues. And the companies, the big Tech Companies, section 230 has nothing to do with this. Theyre engaged in fraudulent business practices, deceiving the public, deceiving their shareholders when they say they are suppressing this material for reasons other than politics. Maria well, i mean, you have to look at them as activists, tom. I was a talking to charlie kirk yesterday. Charlie made the point, could you imagine if a company said were lets say youre an auto company, were only going to make cars for democrats, were not going to make cars for anybody who believes in anything that was bad about hunter biden. I mean, look at what theyre doing. Theyre just catering to one portion of their audience. Theyre activists. Thats why the big tech and censorship hearing is so important today. Ceos from google, facebook, twitter, set to testify. Brian the Senate CommerceCommittee Later this morning. Theyre going to face questions over section 230 of the Communications Decency act. This law essentially shields them from lawsuits over content posted to their platforms. The platforms have been criticized for censoring off sorts of stuff including the hunter biden story, tom. Are they going to lose that liability, number one . And how do you get at the censorship part of this . Because the liability shield, look at what happened to craigslist. When craigslist started getting sued, its a shell of itself. These companies, this is a serious situation, if they now have to deal with lawsuits. But i dont know, does that cover what youre talking about, censorship of information . Because theyre activists. I dont even think section 230 needs to be changed. Without getting too technical, it doesnt protect against censorship for fraudulent purposes, partisan purposes like theyre doing here. Justice thomas all but said that in a statement or a filing he authorized a few weeks ago. I mean, theyre censoring now my tweets, factual tweets about the risk of mailin ballots, voter fraud and dirty voting rules. Completely partisan and they plan to suppress information about the election, not in any neutral way but in a way to benefit joe biden in the days before and the daysaftes afterws in case the election is disputed. The Business Model theyre pursuing now, i would predict is going to be dead in six months, either from legal challenges that will be successful under the current section 230, or a reform to the bill, or an underlying reform to the law that makes it clear they cant abuse their the you powers e powers they have in the tech sphere anymore. Maria tell me about what Judicial Watch uncovered, the briefing memo showing democratic lobbying firm met with u. S. Officials in ukraine in februart the burisma holdings. Tell me what you just got in terms of the foia request. Magically they found the memo almost a year after we asked for it. The obama holdover Ukraine Ambassador met with this firm and she was briefed on the fact that they were also there to talk to someone else in the embassy about burisma. This firm also was asking her about visa issues. I guess there were some folks who werent being allowed into the country. Its really incredible information. The person involved in this briefing is sally painter, she works for blue star strategies. She goes all the way back to the clinton era. This is just more information showing that burisma had an in because of with democratic operatives in the deep state, with witnesses who were targeting trump later. Maria well, its incredible to me, tom. It certainly you mentioned adam schiff. It feels like the group that abused power in 2016 wants to be in power again. Its as simple as that. By the way, congrats to you you. President trump announcing hes appointing you to you the d. C. Commission on judicial disabilities and tenure and Oversight Group that has the power to remove certain judges over misconduct. You must be looking forward to that. Tell me about that appointment, tom, real quick. Well be able to the commission oversees the superior court judges here in d. C. , the court of appeal judges, the d. C. Equivalent of state and local judges. So its a big deal here in d. C. So its exciting and im honored to get the appointment. Maria european markets are weaker take a look weve got ft 100 down 106, 1. 8 lower cac quarante par i will say down 150 points, that is about 3 actually dax in germany lower by 403 points 3, and third lower in germany lows not seen since may as france reportedly mulling a National Lockdown has become the epicenter of the covid19 story in europe mixed in asia fractional moves pretty much across the board gains korea china, mastercard is out cheryl. Maria all right cheryl we will wait for that mastercard down 3 1 2 on miss you mentioned, we are focused on big tech, the ceos facebook, twitter google will appear before federal lawmakers today for you a hearing on section 230 of the 1996 Communications Decency act this section, 230 protects social Media Companies from lawsuits, theyve got liability no liability for third party on platforms joining me right mississippi senator for days appearing roger wicker thanks for joining us can you lay out what we are going to see tell us what you are expecting from these ceos maria, there is concern on the right and the left about the power of big Tech Companies, and what who we are going to have today witnesses ceos of of google Twitter Facebook are among the most powerful people in the country, if not most power people on the planet if you control the flow of news, if you control the flow of information, you are deed powerful, are and so i think there are concerns from republicans and democrats about the power of these behaving Tech Companies the fact that they have a special Liability Protection that you dont have as a journalist, and the press doesnt have but they have a special protection, under the Communications Decency act which you pointed out section 230. And so i think we will be asking questions about that. Maria so how much of this will also include if tech bias that we see senator . Because we know, that, for example, this morning, weve got this you know, huge story, this blockbuster evidence, that hunter biden was doing big deals with Companies Across the world, Holding Money for his father, then sitting Vice President if he emails are right, we had a major interview last night would bobulinski, mr. Bobulinski was the partner of hunter biden, he told us that this was also about joe biden, and social media is suppressing that, by the way, you havent seen any stories about it in New York Times never mind twitter Google Facebook what about suppressing of information how does that play into this it is actually being suppressed everywhere i watched every minute of that interview last night with Tucker Carlson i flipped on 7 00 to network news, and somehow that interview never happened, that story doesnt exist. So there is certainly a bias, in as far as the media goes, across the board. It happens, we issued these subpoenas on october 1, before the New York Post story about the laptop and bidens before that broke i think this gives us a Good Opportunity to explore really the outrageous conduct of twitter, not only blocking the story keeping twitter users from retweeting it also if someone tried to do so twitter actually went further step, of of shutting down that you participant altogether shutting twitter account, i wouldnt be at all surprised if we had questions about that today, but get ready for chapter and verse, of examples as to these big companies, who have a special Liability Protection, really being in the tank for one side. Those questions will come from our side. The democrats have other concerns. And i would point out section 230 of the Communications Decency act, joe biden, and donald trump have advocated the complete repeal of this section, i have some amendments in my bill introduced with chairman graham, but both nominees of major parties for the presidency of the United States have said this section should be repeal entirely we will be talking about that tie also. Maria well, it is true. On both sides of the aisle, people have recognized that these Technology Giants hold an enormous amount of power. Absolutely global, in the spread to of news and information, i mean, you know, i guess when section 20 was written, it wasnt assumed that these companies would have the power that they have today would you go a step further advocate that they should be split up . Look at Google Google has 90 market share in search. Most people want to see competition. Right . You want competitioning changes the situation capitalism at its best where is the competitors in where are alternatives to google when you want to did a stench of . 90 market share . Do you think they will get split up you are talking antitrust the Justice Department is very much involved in that, i will say, there may be questions about that today, such matters really come before senator grahams Committee Judiciary committee yes, i think a fair question to ask. I think we will be asking cant we at least agree that section 230 should be amended so it is clear right now if big platforms deem something to be a objectionable, they can shut it down to me objectionable is like beauty in the eye of be hold heer what may be objectionable to jack dorsey twitter i might think fine good are journalism good acquire, so we need to take that that turnout and be more specific under section 230 what they are allowed to do what they are not allowed to do. Maria i mean they tagged President Trump a lot, they tag it say we want to go through extra steps to see it meanwhile, Ayatollah Khomeini in iran tweeting like mad as they are saying death to america in iran so there is that i got to get your take on races 6 days away from election day control of senate up for grabs rays tightening in states will republicans maintain control of the senate . How are you feeling about races i think it is very tight i was chairman of the Senate Campaign committee four years ago it was tight, at that time. We went into election day realizing if our folks turned out we would hold a majority, and indeed President Trump won a surprising victory we held on to senate, i think things are trending in the right direction, in if arizona with Mcsally Ernst looks better and better, so we are feeling good across the board i think, North Carolina will end up republican column, so feeling pretty good depends on how votes how they rote how we turn them out quick before you go do you have any knowledge in terms of what the plans are on the other side, should they take the senate majority, for example, some won told me the plans are to have Bernie Sanders be the chairman of the budget committee. Any other nuggets that you can share with us in terms of plans that youve heard should they take control of the senate in terms of who will be in charge where have listeners out there should be aware of the sea change that would occur in the United States senate, if Chuck Schumer is majority leader, and this includes everything from doing away with the greatest consensus building we have had filibuster to packing the court to officers that would be chairman of committees it is something to think about, i think our voters, and people viewers this morning need to look at that. Senator good to see you this morning thank you so much we will be watching your hearing this morning, on big tech, senator roger swiek wicker, the cost in stores previewing one chapter when we come right back here with me Dagen McdowellJames Freeman you are watching mornings with maria live on fox business. Stay with us. Maria welcome back new book coauthorized with James Freeman the cost trump, china and the american revival is out on store shelves right now all thisweek high lighting important are chapters in the book today focusing on chapter four, that is trump tax revolution james and i spoke exclusively with President Trump writing this book what he told us about negotiating that historic tax reform legislation. To a certain extent james when i said 15 i said 15 to get to 21, 22, you know i love the 20 number a round number, does that make sense . , you know. But when i said 15 , you never get what you ask for. You know. It is especially with these guys so if i am asking for 15 i dont expect 15 would like 20, 21 i got that it was a great negotiation. He got that, moved the needle on economic growth, joining us right now americans for tax reform president Grover Norquist great to have you this morning. Thank you so much for being here james and i put together this book, to try to look at the president s successes the measurable successes like economic policy, and i want your take, on the cost of those economic policies, reversing should president loss election assess the situation for us what divided tax regulation do for this economy the way to figure out cost repealing all trump tax cuts deregulation joe biden said repeatedly he will do repeal them all to look at how much good they did for the economy, when the corporate rate was 35 under biden and obama that was 10 points higher than communist china, biden wanted to take he took 5 of any corporate earnings in the United States china only took 25 why do we think jobs and investment flew to china . Now, president took that down to 21 so we are lower than china, better investments than china is biden sometimes says he wants to go up to 28 sometimes up to 35 but always wants to go higher than communist china to make america less welcoming of capital in the United States, and than china is. So what will happen . Companies will leave United States the way they used to under biden obama rather than move to United States money will flow out of the United States rather than into it money from germany brazil flow to china directly other countries, avoid the United States, weve seen 100 Million People 401 k s, saw value live savings go up in the ira, or 401 k will go back down if you take the corporate rate as high as biden says he wants to do, with deregulation same a lot of money was saved a lot of time saved lowering the regulations. Put those back in the entire economy just slows down. Maria yeah, james and i wanted to make the point of what happens when tax rates 35r7 james jump in here remember that period of time, that we write about tax rate 35 we saw string of merges Companies Moving headquarters to ireland, ireland had 9 tax rate we thought deregulation story was so important, james, the unnecessary regulations with President Trump came in said well it is beautiful, being when their cut. Right james . Yeah, i want to get your take on that grover, because when we interviewed the president talked positive growth aspects of tax reformer on deregulation i do for businesspeople the president said in time one of the most significant things he has done he said you watch it is going to be his rules about reducing the amount of time it takes to get Infrastructure Projects approved, but to take years and years long delays to build a road or make it a year or two i am wondering as you look at kind of progrowth chaim changers out of the trump first term where are the deregulatory . Absolutely same thing true with Reagan Reagan had a tax cut, and significant deregulation, on trucking and buses, airlines, railroads, massive deregulation, i think president reagans success half tax cut half deregulation, similarly with trump. You saw, both the tax cuts and less regulation, and also, a return to rule of law in the courts. So we really saved a lot of money a lot of created a lot of opportunities. Grover, we asked president about deregulation he did say this was one of the most important parts of his Overall Economic policy, here is what he told us. Because i went to, you know, years and years of ive it has taken four or five years to get approvals i am really good at that; right . For shg should be, i understand the system a consultant System Consultants go up to albany or go down to washington make it very tough you have to hire consultants millions of dollars for a simple approval grower even j. P. Morgan ceo dimon told me umpteen times when he wants to invest he checks how long will take if he invests building a bridge in detroit it is, 1 years you will walk away who is going to wait 1 years for return on investment. Killing pipelines makes energy more expensive difficult to build roads put in new businesses. Speeding up permitting extremely important. Unfortunately biden is kind of run by people who like that stuff to go slow great your insights thank you, sir. What are the complications of this Going Forward . If joe biden is elected president , could very well happen . How does this constrain his ability toed deal with china i think joe biden and biden family are compromised, briefed on compromise, and who your able to talk with and deal and do business with, and, i just dont see given the history here and faction how joe cant be influenced in some manner based on history with csc stuff like that as a citizen american taxpayer i am very, very concerned. Maria James Freeman your reaction to this . We know already, that china has also chosen a side we hear from staterun media he global times, news that they would like biden to win. Attacks by also i am a also concerned hill disturbing one of our earlier guests was talking about differences between clinton, and and the biden inc, this time around, i never thought would i be nostalgic about clintons, but if this foundation kind of felt the need to pretend they were all about charity, these bidens, money grabs around the world, they come without any even attempt to justify them. If a china gate, we have 5milliondollar payment from the chinese firm ceft going to biden related entity, then sends 4. 8 million over time to Hunter Bidens firm, as far as i can tell whether this deal or money from russians oligarch or money from the Ukrainian Natural Gas Company or romania deal never even an attempt or effort by the bidens to just these alarm amounts of money for vaguely defined Services Performed by i mean, he earned hunter biden earned 83,000 dollars a month totalline 4. 3 Million Dollars, from burisma, dagen what do you think would happen, if we found out, that one of trumps kids don, jr. , or eric or ivanka accepted 3 1 2 Million Dollars from you russia oligarch i think i know where you are on this i dont know you think this is resonating with everybody right what do you think this is going to do to election i looked at that figure why making a face how much, hunter biden was earning, as a board member of burisma every month, and i came up with a figure sometime ago when this story was first discussed, that is more than twice what a member on the board of exxonmobil makes to put in perspective, what was burisma paying for there . Voters National Review wrote an interesting column this week, about what could if titled the only middle finger available and why if trump wins why that would happen it goes to what were seeing with the media not covering the hunter biden story. Not covering what joe biden potentially was up to with china, his son, ukraine, and even in the past. And it is because the American People or many people those issue deplorables clinging to guns and bielz feel sillensed by the woke left they feel that this country is headed in a direction led by a few elite rich liberal few a direction that really silences people makes them poorer if trump wins why it would happen coming up next wisconsin senator ron johnson here did the report on the biden business going to give a latest on hunter biden bombshell as republicans are now looking for a special counsel to investigate this, the question i have been asking recently that is next on mornings with h maria. Stay with us. Maria welcome back. Good wednesday o morning thanks for joining us. Im maria bartiromo. Maria thank you so much we have been report on biden bombshell all morning, former hunter biden business associate, Tony Bobulinski speaking with fox news Tucker Carlson last night, to talk the biden familys alleged foreign business dealings and joe bidens denial of them bobulinski talked about bidens reaction to his concerns about a joe biden 2020 candidacy bobulinski actually said look are you worried we are doing deals with Chinese Company tied to this government, and it is doing deals with russias companies tied to that government . And here is what he heard listen to this i know joe decided not to run in 016 but what if he ran in the future, around the they taking Political Risk or headline risk . And i remember, are looking at jim biden saying how are you guys getting away with this, arent you concerned . He looked at me he laughed a little bit and said, plausible deniability. There you go publicly plausible deniability the ones who first released the report ron johnson is here thanks very much for being here. Good morning, maria. So i want to ask you really where are we in this first give your reaction to Tony Bobulinski last night in that interview what struck you . Well you played two most important words that he spoke yesterday the other one plausible deniability this is james writing to Tony Bobulinski dont mention joe being involved it is only when you are facetoface i know you know that but they are paranoid, yeah definitely trying to set this things up where plausible deniability if other important word is compromised if a biden presidency i dont think anyone in when is the with these connections would give a security clearance. Because, because, those individuals would be would be compromised, you know the other question i asked this is joe biden said not one single solitary thing out of line not a single thing. That is the truth why was Vice President biden lying why has we lied repeatedly about never talking to hunter about overseas business we know there are multiple cases that are proven that is one big fat lie. Maria what i mean you have done all the research, and even studying this for a couple of years. What do you think was going on here senator . I mean we have a list of these deals that were going to show, you know, one deal is the 5 Million Dollars that went to hunter biden cefc Chinese Company another deal was 3 1 2milliondollar Wire Transfer that you hunter biden accepted from the former mayors wife of moscow, yelena baturina, creates onebilliondollar Investment Fund bhr state owned bank of china weeks after traveling on air force two with joe biden then sitting Vice President , to meet these guys from bank of china they give one 1 2 billion dollars totally, then, of course, received all this money by being on the board of burisma 83,000 dollars a month, totals 4. 3 Million Dollars. What were they doing deals like this before joe biden was Vice President . Absolutely, there is plenty evidence on the public record, and back when the nice media actually might have been more in favor of elizabeth warren, Bernie Sanders in august 2019 politicalo wrote story about biden inc documenting how james biden hurpt hurpt have been trying to profit off the biden name for years he while joe biden was senator seemed seemed to crack code 2013, 2014 with burisma deal transfer from widow of former mayor one of russia all the entangments in china figured out how to make money off biden name basically, knew how, to use his influence, to hoover that up money a scandal the way media is completely ignoring the story story is not going away maria. It is not going away. Maria is it i mean it should not go away now a growing number of republican senators are calling fore attorney general bill barr to appoint a special counsel to investigate hunter biden ive got that story that you mentioned, from from politico right here biden inc from politico you are right it was august, 2019 over his decades in Office Politico writes middle class joe family for theins closely tracked his political career do you want to see special counsel i am not a big fan of special counsels if joe biden wins presidency i dont see how you avoid one otherwise this is going to be a, you know, tucked away we will never know what happened, all evidence buried so i think we have to have a special election if joe biden wins another, john solomon great article looking at joe bidens tax returns, where he reports 16 Million Dollars income since he left Office Financial cloud cover shows 3. 2 Million Dollars in assets. John talked to tax advisory said his net worth ault to be a the least 9 Million Dollars where did other 6 Million Dollars go . Have i hope people look at caribbean Cayman Islands find out where might that 6 Million Dollars be tucked acquire inquirying minds want to nae do you believe bid hence account in Cayman Islands i dont know youve got 3. 2 Million Dollars to show for it either you are one norms big experienced or something has happened again this is just so many financial entanglements so much buried our report just scratched the surface just raised troubling questions didnt answer all questions you by a long shot again, we need the Investigative Press to start looking into this i simply dont have resource, it took us months, under great deal of resistance from all agencies trying to get some information, but we just laid out the really the questions quite honestly people like Tony Bobulinski saw report i think one thing that prompted him to come forward five Million Dollars should have gone into sinohawk went directly to bidens i think kind of upset him together with fact adam schiff lied again i think that came across you know in last nights interview, that really was sort of the straw that broke tonys back when you have not only adam schiff then you have 50 50 former intelligence officials writing cover letter for joe biden no evidence whatsoever but used russian interferen countryard one more time russian information nothing could be further from truth in this case we have heard from ratcliffe sitting director National Intelligence told us weeks ago this is not in fact any you russian disinformation, quick, i just asked you they didnt do deals before, the Vice President was in his position, you say, they cracked the code in 2014, so in other words, they were not doing deals with Foreign Companies before joe biden was Vice President. ; is that right . . Well i dont know i dont have evidence of it we started finding evidence 2013, 2014 burisma russia deal entanglements with china seemed like point in time the famous trip, with hunter took with joe biden december 2013 couple weeks later, it was bhr got license to do business that wasbilliondollar plus, Investment Fund, that joe biden shook hands of jonathan lee main investor of that fund claims that i never talked to hunter overseas business deals a baldfaced lie. The unbelievable bothers me the fact they rushed through approvals so Chinese Companies could acquire American Companies talked about on Program China eating our lunch here you have this partnership because they are lining their pockets with millions, just saying oh get the approval for china to acquire our intellectual plot, senator good to see you we will keep following it, following this story, and will not suppress it senator thank you. Well be right back. So we can spend a bit today, knowing were prepared for tomorrow. Wow dad, do you think you overdid it maybe . I dont think so. What do you think, peanut . Nope honey, do you think we overdid it . Overdid what . See . We dont think so, son. Technically, grandparents cant overdo it. Its impossible. Well planned, well invested, well protected. Voya. Be confident to and through retirement. Maria effects of coronavirus studies show could have impact on brain function causing chronic cognitive deficits equal to a brain aging 10 years joining me right now Family Medicine doctor Mikhail Varshavski aka very mick what do you have to say mik good morning i look at study like this i see the right off the bat ne dont do testing on patient before they were sick with covid19 only after that that is going to muddle results in general there is a lot of fearmongering coming from Research Community surrounding air logical effects of covid19 a study this morning saying 80 of individuals will have neurological symptoms within neurological symptoms they included headachation influenza similar rates flu have headaches muscle aches i dont want this large but i want to see more research we could actually learn something from. Maria i am glad that you are questioning your skeptical of some of this let me ask you about hospitalized patients taking aspirin daily those taking sprain every day reportedly 47 less likely to die of covid19 as prirn would they boo first over Current Treatment for coronavirus we dont have strong evidence we have demonstrated potential mechanism how aspirin could work in reality did not approve cause and effect it showed those taking aspirin before hospitalization tended to have Better Outcomes does that mean taken care of by doctor earlier better access to care more wealthy therefore better care assess in general there are is to many variables need to be teased out here as we learn with entire pandemic more we jump to conclusion more wrong we will be, in fact, i dont like any of the fearmongering conversation that is happening around this virus because ultimately gets politicized, we should not be politicizing covid19 the idea taking aspirin a day good idea . I wouldnt jump to that idea i wouldnt be jumping to doing these types of things until its is proven we are making that general recommendation, do not jump to taking unproven treatments i was just saying some people take it to keep their blood thin for other things, not necessarily coronavirus, but i got you i understand what you are saying dr. Mik good to see you this morning. Thank you very much Mike Varshavski live with the very latest when we come back. Moment that things, for one strange time in our lives, got very quiet. My dvt blood clot. Stayed on my mind. Was another around the corner . Or could it be a different story . I wanted to help protect myself. My doctor recommended eliquis. Eliquis is proven to treat and help prevent another dvt or pe blood clot. Almost 98 percent of patients on eliquis didnt experience another. And eliquis has significantly less major bleeding than the standard treatment. Eliquis is fdaapproved and has both. Dont stop taking eliquis unless your doctor tells you to. Eliquis can cause serious and in rare cases fatal bleeding. Dont take eliquis if you have an artificial heart valve or abnormal bleeding. If you had a spinal injection while on eliquis call your doctor right away if you have tingling, numbness, or muscle weakness. While taking eliquis, you may bruise more easily. And it may take longer than usual for bleeding to stop. Seek immediate medical care for sudden signs of bleeding, like unusual bruising. Eliquis may increase your bleeding risk if you take certain medicines. Tell your doctor about all planned medical or dental procedures. Whats around the corner could be your moment. Ask your doctor about eliquis. Noand if youre troubledan a lifby falls and bleeds, ers. Worry follows you everywhere. Over 100,000 people have left blood thinners behind with watchman.
