His medical team says hes not out of the woods yet but ensured it was safe for him to return home where he will be monitored by doctors around the clock. First Lady Melania Trump is recovering at the white house, tweeting yesterday she is feeling good and continuing to rest. Five white house staffers have tested positive for covid19 including press secretary Kayleigh Mcenany who told fox news she is feeling great and only has mild symptoms. Meanwhile, President Trump is still planning to take part in the second president ial debate in miami later this month. Thats according to trump 2020 Communications Director tim murtau. The debate will take place less than two weeks after the president first tested positive for the coronavirus. Joe biden said he will attend the next debate if Scientists Say its safe. The center for Disease Control is updating transmission guidelines for covid19, acknowledging its possible tore the virus to linger in the air for hours and it can travel farther than six feet in some cases. And the wall street journal is reporting the irs is investigating nras ceo for possible criminal tax fraud. All three major indices ending the day in positive territory at session highs, up 465 on the dow, 257 on the nasdaq. Joining me right now is Wealth Advisor president and founder, mark avalon. Also joining the conversation is Dagen Mcdowell and the chairman of the program of business and finance, the Kings College in manhattan, Brian Brenberg. Thank you for being here. Mark, tell me what you think is driving markets these days. Weve got a fractional loss this morning but what do you think will be the ultimate driver as we go into yearend . Well, the driver of the markets going to continue to be what it has been. Its an accomodative fed at the base. Its hope for more federal stimulus. On top of that its this amazing u. S. Economy thats been adapting and doing relatively well, despite severe pockets of pain. So i think investors are looking at the latter and saying we might see better earnings this quarter. 11 Million People have returned to work since march. Thats historical. But whats also historical is theres still more than that unemployed. So its a bifurcated situation but underlying strength and optimism is running wall street right now and investors are looking at the brighter side of these pending earnings reports. Maria yeah. I mean, i think you make a great point on the fed. Weve got zero interest rates, not a lot of alternatives aside from stocks. So, sure, the bull market is intact. But what is the fundamental back drop telling you, mark . Are you expecting earnings to look good tore the Third Quarter . For the Third Quarter. Theyre going to be out flowing in earnest in the sneak next weo well get a real picture of how the Third Quarter performed. What do you sunshine its going to be industry by industry and were going to see real strength in transports, companies that can shop from home like nike have already indicated. Theyre going to be strong. Communications services, technology, warehouse, anything that is involved in this new economy is going to reflect that. My deep concerns continue to be with commercial banks and with travel, leisure and entertainment. And even if some of those earnings are strong, i want to look under the hood and make sure theyre not just cutting costs, theyre not just laying people off, and making their number that way. Without topline growth, the longterm sustainability in Certain Industries that are negatively impacted by covid really have to be scrutinized. So i would caution investors to not just pick in a wide manner but play the sectors and the industries that are poised to benefit in 2022, whether or not we have a quick vaccine. Maria yeah. I mean, i think that its going to be more important than ever, this quarter, to listen to the guidance of the s p 500 when they report their earnings, to give us a sense of what theyre expecting for the Fourth Quarter and 2021. Right. And as of now, less than 20 of companies have given Third Quarter guidance. This covid has changed everything. Were getting less guidance. Were getting less forwardlooking statements. Thats whats creating some ambiguity for investors. The last few days , the runup is more hopeful when jp morgan announces, theyre going to begin a parade of positive news. I think investors are being on the optimistic side. Be careful where youre investing. You want to avoid in my opinion the sectors that are most impacted by this virus. Maria yeah. Let me ask you about big tech. The house antitrust report is suggesting a breakup of big tech firms, according to reuters. This is probably one issue that both sides of the aisle agree on, that big tech has become too pow of wearful and needs to be powerful and needs to be broken up. Would you buy big tech, knowing that we could see this materialize and theres also the issue of the valuation after a huge runup for tech. The valuation concern has been there. Thats where the money is flowing and to not have been involved in this momentum trade has left Money Managers underperforming. So i think the pressure will be for Money Managers to continue to invest there, with the hopes that theres a wider spread into the Value Industrial side of the equation. As far as whats happening on capitol hill, i think its going to take years for that to materialize. And theres going to be an incredibly strong lobbying effort to slow it down, to water it down. Congress really doesnt even understand how these Industries Work half the time, so i dont expect quick, swift and penal action, especially because of how entrenched many of these companies are even in democrat voting districts and states like california. So if its going to be deemed to be painful, if its deemed to hurt the voters, the workers, the employment situation, the recovery, i look for the political heat to be more rhetoric than action. Maria all right. Mark, great to see you. Well be watching. Thank you so much, mark often an joining us there. Were looking at a bion tech. The eu launched a rolling review of the covid19 vaccine being developed together with pfizer. It is in late stage trials. Shares are up 10 andahalf percent. Well be watching that one. Potus back at home, the president returning to the white house yesterday evening following his three night stay at Walter Reed Hospital after testing positive for covid19. President trump released a video message after returning home. Dont let it dominate. Dont let it take over your lives. Dont let that happen. Yeawere the greatest country in the world. Were going back. Were going back to work. Were going to be out front. As your leader i had to do that. I know theres danger to it but i had to do it. I stood out front. I led. Nobody thats a leader would not do what i did. And i know theres a risk. Theres a danger. But thats okay. And now im better and maybe im immune, i dont know. But dont let it dominate your lives. Get out there. Be careful. We have the best medicines in the world. Maria joining me right now is retired four star general, fox news senior strategic analyst, general jack keane. Its good to see you this morning. Thanks very much for joining us. President trump surprising everybody, coming out of the hospital. What do you think this sends the message this sends to the world stage, having the president back at the white house . I think everybody is gratified that our president is back on duty, sotospeak. I dont think he ever gave that up. He certainly was working very vigorously while at walter reed. This is a bigger message here, this is a president in his 70s who fought this disease, obviously he has a strong immune system. He was not enveloped by the disease which has happened to other people in his age group. Hes obviously generally very healthy to begin with and i think the vigorous activity and the life that the president has always led and leads now as our president is a contributor to his being able to cope with the disease. And i agree with him. You know, hes the leader of our country and in this case the most prosperous country, the greatest and largest democracy in the world. And you cant do that job closeted. Youve got to be able to deal with people on a regular basis and have meetings. You cant do everything virtually. And thats why six or seven of his fellow leaders in the world also have contacted coronavirus because theyre leaders and if youre going to lead, you have to be out there. And so i think its great to see him back. I do think it sends a message to the world, writ large, that while this disease is devastating in terms of the amount of people it infects, certainly, that you can withstand the rigors of this disease if youre generally speaking in decent health, even when youre in your 70 ofs. Maria yeah. Its interesting because the whole world was watching President Trump go to the hospital, be in the hospital. And you know, given the fact that were in this fight with china, you know that the chinese leadership was also watching what took place here so it definitely sends a strong message of to the president s critics as well. Oh, yeah. Theres no doubt about that. While president xi offered President Trump his support and you know, for a speedy recovery, as well as the first lady. He permitted his staterun media to blast the president for one, for contacting the disease because of his personal behavior, and two, for mishandling the disease in the United States. So this relationship has soured. Theres no doubt about that. Maria yeah. Well, that was rich. You know, that was rich, reading the global times as they said that the president downplayed the disease. Meanwhile, it was china that downplayed the disease for critical weeks. Before you go, general, ive got to ask about russia. Officials in the Trump Administration have announced progress toward outlining a nuclear deal with russia thats according to the journal this morning. The talks are an effort to extend the new start treaty which aims to he reduce the number of strategic arms between the two countries but the talks come as putin is increasing military activity in belarus. Whats at stake here . Firs first of all, this is gd news. We dont have a treaty yet. It looks like were coming to a Framework Agreement which means that the treaty, which expires in february, will be extended and theres some basic agreements that were going to freeze the numbers of weapons we currently have. Russia and the United States. A couple of things permitted that breakthrough. One is the United States was insisting that chinas got to be in this deal and thats the right thing. But the russians dont want any part of it so were going to conduct the deal with the russians as we have in the past. This is progress. Putin is in belarus. Hes got troops on the ground under the guise of an exercise. He wants that country in his or orbit. I think hes going to get it. Because of covid and other issues going on in the world today, the world is not responding as strongly as they should be to this. They certainly did in the case of crimea. Were seeing a repeat performance here. It portends what putin is about is weakening the transatlantic alliance, nato. If troops get based there that will intimidate nato allies, which are on the border, particularly poland and the ball Baltic States p states. Maria thats what china did. Theyre very similar, these dictators. General, good so see you this morning. Thank you, sir. Good talking to you, maria. Maria general jack keane there. Stay with us. Well be right back. A new gallup poll shows the top issue for voters right now include the economy and National Security. Closely followed by covid19 response and healthcare. Dagen mcdowell, your thoughts on this list of important items. Interesting that National Security is above covid. Dagen theyre all kind of clustered, the top issues are clustered together right there. The wall street journal poll had joe biden in a 14 point lead over President Trump. President trump still leads biden on his handling of the economy. 48 for trump, 41 for joe biden. And ill point to this. Front page of the wall street journal today is a story about the deep divide between the haves and the havenot es. Joe biden is talking about the kshaped recovery. Thats what the article goes into. How do you rectify that . How do you change that . Are you going to go back to joe biden and Barack Obamas policies that essentially never resulted in average Hourly Earnings growth higher than 3 in this country, where you had hyper regulation and you had higher taxes and you had a stagnant economy that basically prevented lower income americans from seeing sizable wage gains. President trump changed all of that. I can go through all the statistics about the wealth and income inequality finally shrinking under President Trumps policies before the covid lockdown, lower and middle income folks sharing in the wealth, Median Income up about 7 . Joe biden has promised to eliminate the trump tax cuts. Okay. So coming out of a pandemic, youre going to take money away from employers that they could otherwise use to rehire people, hire people or give people wages. He has yet to explain why that is a good policy. In addition to all the far left ideas that hes bringing to the table. Maria absolutely. And Brian Brenberg, not only is he going to be raising taxes by 4 trillion, hes going to use that money to pay for expensive programs like the green deal, that hes calling it the biden plan or infrastructure plan, trying to color it as if its not an expensive Green Climate deal and yet he still holds a steady lead over President Trump according to these polls, brian. Brian i think what a lot of voters dont know, is hes promising to raise taxes by 4 trillion. Thats barely half of the cost of his spending plan. People care about the economy. They obviously care about it going into november. They still have a lot of questions for joe biden. At the last debate, they wanted to hear him answer those questions. How do you make this plan work . Dagens right, youre going to raise taxes in the middle of a recovery . Good luck. When the president and the former Vice President get a chance to debate again, that has to be central. People want to know bidens plan. I hope that comes up tomorrow night at the Vice President ial debate. Kamala harris should have to answer that question. How is more regulation, how is more taxation going to grow this economy and grow wages . It doesnt work. Im sorry, but it maria its got to come up. Brian it has to. Maria by the way, the democrats, the president s critics are insane right now. They are so angry that hes back at the white house. Were going to talk about 2020s financial stakes when we come back. Well take a short break. The impact a potential joe biden would have on your life savings, well zero in coming up. The high stakes of the 2020 election continue the to deepen. For Many Americans, one of the biggest issues on the table is the continued economic growth, jobs, which is fasttracking the ability to save more money of. My next guest recently penned an oped in the journal, arguing that americans life savings would be at stake in the upcoming election. Joining us now, grover norquist. Lets talk about whats at stake here. Joe biden wants to raise taxes in a whole host of areas, in particular, Capital Gains tax will be pretty significant. You recently tweeted about how tax cuts have raised real wages. Lets talk about when taxes increase. Sure. One of the things that biden says is hes only going to tax the top 1 . But the list of things he wants to do, taking the corporate rate back up higher than chinas business tax, is what hes been talking about, sometimes as high as 35 or of a at least 28, but r than china, higher than european competitors. What that does, it reduces the value of your 401k, your ira. Biden forgets, there are now 100 million americans whose life savings are in the stock market, in a 401k and ira, a 203b, any of these savings vehicles, and when you raise taxes on companies, when you double the Capital Gains tax to 40 , which he wants to do for all americans, not just the rich, all americans, those reduce the value of your life savings. Americans saw their life savings in a 401k increase dramatically, when the president said he said im going to be cutting taxes, im going to be deregulating. As that happened, life savings went up. Covid hit, they wept bac went d. Now theyre back up again. When the stock market went down as a result of covid, it never went as low as it was when biden and obama was in charge. Covid is better for you than their economic policies when looking at your life savings. Envhes attacking 100 million americans who are saving for their future in a 401k or ira and his regulations will make your life savings work less. His taxes will make your life savings work less. His labor union policies, banning independent contractors will make your life savings work less. Hes really attacking 100 Million People directly and their families and their children. It was many years ago when only 1 of the population had stocks. Maria thats exactly right. 100 million americans i was saying 100 million americans, by the way, 15 years ago. So i think its more than 100 million americans at this point. But i want to read to you what andy la pe pierre said from cornerstone macro. Hes looking at a big impact on earnings as a result of this and hes expecting a stock market selloff initially as a result. He says if biden raises the Corporate Tax rate from 21 to 28 , companies will have to see their profits increase by 10 to make up for the higher rate. For the marginal individual investor looking at a dividend or Capital Gains, Capital Gains rates are going to go from 23. 8 to 43. 4 , corporate profits would have to go up nearly 50 to keep the aftertax rate of return of owning stocks unchanged. And theres more fiscal stimulus, lower tariff risk, but there is higher risk of higher regulation, again, cutting into earnings. So what does that do to the stock market then . Nothing good. He also wants to have an energy tax which raises the cost of everything we produce in the yates when we try and United States when we try and compete with the rest of the world. Its not just one thing hes doing to the economy to hurt it, raising the corporate rate higher than chinas. Why would you do that . And the Capital Gains tax. He also wants an energy tax and the 4 trillion in tax increases over a deck id that he wants to decade that he wants to put in is half of the spending he wants to put into it as well. Hes going to be adding more debt, higher taxes, in a way that damage your life savings as youre trying to look to retire or to have money in the future. Its a devastating impact on your life savings. And he thinks that americans he said in scranton to an audience, i dont know why trump talked about the stock market being good for everyone, nobody in scranton owns stock. Yes, they do, but he doesnt know that. Maria the Capital Gains tax rate of 43. 4 is going to be devastating. Corporate tax rate at 28 is also going to hurt but this is going to have a serious impact on peoples lives. Dagen and President Trump needs to explain to the American People that you how thi how l impact peoples wages who are who dont have as much education, who are not white collar workers, who of work in manufacturing. Because you saw the exact opposite under President Trumps policies. Grover, i want to raise this issue. So many people are concerned about joe biden and really who is influencing his policies with this, say, the energy tax that you were talking about. How far left will he go, can he go . And ther there was an editorialn the wall street journal recently by an accountant, jay stockman, who wrote about what roosevelt did with the wealth tax, finally given real teeth in 1937 which sent the economy or kept it in the Great Depression. And so you have the likes of Elizabeth Warren talking about a wealth tax. Theres a mark to market wealth tax idea, its shortlived, but its from person be bernie sandd ilhan omar. How far left are we going to go . Are we in store for what turns into the Great Depression because of left wing policies . Well, we had a trial run with this when obama was president and biden was Vice President. They responded to the slowdown in growth by raising taxes, spending more money, all the things fdr did and his recession lasted more than a decade, fdrs. And we had the slowest recovery since world war ii under biden and obama. When you raise taxes, when you spend more money, when you tax investment, yo the economy does poorly. Thats why people are so grumpy and they elected trump. He raised wages for lower income people, they went up more for the lowest earners, the opposite of what happened with obama, where rich people did better, lower income wage earners didnt do better. Trump turned that around. When you ask a question about the economy, people get that. On polling, if theyre going to vote on the economy, theyll vote for trump. Trump needs to focus on that. Maria you know what im feeling a deja vu, because the last time this happened companies started acquiring other companies in europe and moving their headquarters to ireland because ireland had a Corporate Tax rate of around 12 and then it went down to 10 . I mean, thats what happened. The jobs moved overseas, the companies moved overseas. But im sure biden will put in some penalties if you move your headquarters to ireland because thats exactly what happened. If you make it unlivable, you have to build a berlin wall in order to stop people from fleeing. Thousands left during biden obama years. That stopped when the corporate rate came down and we werent the highest taxed country in the world on corporate income. Maria in the world. Youve got to be competitive. Mobile Technology Research firm interdigital is fighting against Chinese Electronics company after a wuhan court said that the American Firm could face fines of over 1 million juan, roughly 147,000 a day, if it seeks to sue the company for Patent Infringement of its 3g or 4g technology in any court around the world. Eyi spoke with senator tom cottn this weekend about the continuous efforts by the Chinese Communist party to steal American Research and intellectual property on sunday morning futures. You were the first on this program to say they were stealing our research on covid19 as we speak. Is that still going on . How do you stop it . The Chinese CommunistParty Continues to try to steal everything thats not bolted down to the floor and after theyve gotten all that, theyll bring bolt cutters back and try to take the rest of the stuff too. Theres evidence in the intelligence community, has made public about the concerns that the threats the Chinese Communist party would be stealing Research Related to coronavirus vaccines. They continue their campaign of industrial and commercial and military espionage. We finally have a president that is taking its seriously and imposing costs on them. Im afraid well backslide if joe biden is elected president. Maria joining me right now is the ceo of interdigital, bill merit. Its great to have you this morning. Thanks very much for joining us. We did a poll of americans priorities in this election and National Security is one of them. We have to be clear that National Security largely revolves around china and the worries around china. Tell me about your company and what you have faced as you are trying to protect what youve built and not have it stolen by the Chinese Communist government. Its great to be back, maria. Its amazing what weve been up against. Your summary at the beginning was spoton. We have a court in china that is basically preventing us from using any of our patents around the world, our u. S. Patents, our Great Britain patents, our french patents against that Chinese Company except in china. Meaning that only the chinese courts are going to be able to determine the value of our patents, whether its a u. S. Patent or otherwise. Thats just extraordinary in terms of the extraterritorial reach. As you mentioned, the fine theyre imposing if we seek to enforce our patents, its at an extortion level. Last, its in a case where we were never served with the complaint. We were never given an opportunity to present ourselves at the hearing. So its violating every legal norm that you know. So its extraordinary at a number of levels. Maria can you characterize the cost to your business . I mean, i had the president of microsoft on here a couple years ago and he told me it is tens of billions of dollars that should be on microsofts bottom line but its not because in china 90 of companies are using the microsoft operating system but 1 are actually paying for it. So what would you say is the cost to your company, all of this theft of your intellectual property and your inability to sue . Its enormous. So were a company that has around 300 million annual revenue. Theres an additional 200 million a year that the chinese are not paying for the use of our technology and theyve not been paying for years. If you go backwards in time, were talking about billions of dollars thats owed to us. Were a 2 billion company in total. So its just a stagger amount of money thats not been paid by the chinese and this impacts our ability to conduct even more research, to drive into other technologies beyond wireless. So the impact affects us in terms of hiring. So its a pretty large impact. Maria so you understand the Trump Administrations pushback on this. Obviously, its going to be a different story if joe biden gets in. He doesnt see china the same way. Yeah. I think the Trump Administration has been incredibly effective blowing the lid off of what china has been doing all along. Theyve been absolutely resolute in making sure that we rectify the situation. So we appreciate everything that he has done. Maria bill, thank you so much. Bill merit. Well be right back. New fallout after fired fbi Deputy DirectorAndrew Mccabe pulls out of a grillings on capitol hill that was scheduled for today. This as cia head gina haspel tries to stop more document declassification as part of the origins of the russia probe. Ohio congressman, House Judiciary Committee member jim jordan is here, moments from now, to discuss all of this. Markets this morning are slightly moving, they are in the red despite President Trumps recovery and growing talks on stimulus, although we have seen very much a mixed start this morning. Dow industrials are higher by 5 points, nasdaq lower by 39. This after a pretty good rally yesterday. All the major indices finished near session high was the dow up 465 points, the nasdaq up 257 and s p up 60 at 4 00 on wall street. Bringing back new york, we are talking with one ceo demanding the mayor clean up the city in order to recover. Plus, plant based fashion, the new teamup that will turn heads and keep animals safe, actress Pamela Anderson is here to talk about her businesses and more. Mornings with maria is live right now. European markets are struggling this morning, take a look. Were looking at a fractional move across the board but the fq100 is negative by 2 points, the dax is up 10 of points. Slight gains overnight in asia as well. China is closed for a holiday. The other majors were moving fractionally overnight as you can see. Now the latest on russiagate, according to a report by the federalist, cia director gina haspel is hoping President Trump will lose the upcoming election. My source as i reported on sunday told me gina haspel is trying to stop John Ratcliffe from continuing to release declassified documents. Now, at the time of the 2016 coup, gina haspel was running the cia in london, so she knows exactly what went on in 2016. This follows the senate Judiciary Committee postponing a hearing with fbi Deputy DirectorAndrew Mccabe and the u. S. Attorney investigating unmasking requests from obama officials suddenly resigned on friday. On sunday morning futures i spoke with House Minority leader Kevin Mccarthy on the shocking declassification that John Ratcliffe made public last week. Listen to this. We see that Hillary Clinton approved a plan to stir up a scandal about donald trump in 2016. Congressman, weve been talking about the russia hoax now for three andahalf years and now we learn that its was Hillary Clintons idea. What can you tell us . Well, when director ratcliffe released this, the leaders of congress wanted to have a meeting because no one in congress, the house or the senate, has ever seen this information. Even though we have spent all these years investigating. Now lets walk through remember, we must be careful here. Some of this is still classified. Lets talk about whats in ratcliffes letter. We find out in july of 2016 that russian intelligence had picked up that Hillary Clintons campaign was going to create a false narrative of trump and russia colluding. We now find out in july 26 that the cia director in his own notes briefs the president on this, brennan, to president obama. Then just this wednesday, comey gets asked a question about this referral that you just talked about in september. He said it doesnt ring a bell. But ive seen the underlying proof. But inside ratcliffes letter, this referral from the cia was sent to the fbi, to peter strzok and to comey. Now, remember peter strzok, he e was on crossfire hurricane and the mueller report. Never once did this intelligence show up anywhere in any of of those investigations or to congress or to the senate. So what we know with all of this i know everything thats going on this week. This is the biggest news that didnt get reported. We find out there was no collusion between trump and russia, that it was created by Hillary Clinton and a campaign in july of 2016, but the cia director john brennan, that the fbi director, comey and the president of the United States, barack obama all knew about that and was never brought to congress. Maria unbelievable. The only place youre hearing about this story is here or on fox news. Nobody is covering the biggest political scandal of our time. Joining me right now is ohio congressman, House Judiciary Committee and House Oversight and Reform Committee member, jim jordan. Thank you so much for being here. Its great to have you. We have so much to discuss. Ive got to get your take on John Ratcliffe declassifying this information. We have a line into the russian intelligence. Watching others. The russian intelligence watching others comes up with a report and says Hillary Clinton approved the plan to tie trump to russia. For three years the country was up in arms about russia colluding with trump and in fact it was just one political opponent making up stories about another political opponent. Your reaction . Yeah. No, as is so often the case, the democrats accused us of what theyre doing. Turns out based on mr. Ratcliffe uncovering this information and presenting it to us, turns out they created a fake hoax. It was just the opposite. So as you said, weve lived through this now, this thing started four years ago, more than four years ago, july of 2016. All built on a false premise. No predicate for starting this investigation in the first place. Thank goodness ric grenell released the information he did, the transcripts which shows clapper, brennan, rice, all these people saying there was never any collusion, any evidence of of coordination between Trump Campaign and russia, there never was. What there is evidence of, now that John Ratcliffe released the information, was the russians were working with the clinton campaign. It goes to show, the only thing we had wrong about all this, i said this many times, the only thing we had wrong is it was worse of than we thought. Maria look, you cant say that Hillary Clinton should go to jail for this. Its not that. This is the fbi. Anybody could say anything about their opponent. Thats what Hillary Clinton was doing. But the fact that the fbi was come mrcomplicit, that she was o go get the u. S. Government intelligence agencies to work with her and we know the cia and fbi were both involved in trying to take down trump. What do you make of these sources telling me and also telling the federalist that current cia director gina haspel is trying to stop any more declassification of documentation. Remember, while brennan was running around trying to come up with stories against trump, she was running the cia in london. Yeah. Well, if thats true, its frankly not new. I mean, what has chris wray helped us uncover. But for the work of ric grenell, John Ratcliffe and the attorney general, we wouldnt know any of this. Frankly its nothing new. I think shes wrong. If the federalist stories is accurate, i think shes wrong. I think President Trump is going to win. I think hes going to win ohio big like he did four years ago. I think hes going to be the president. I think were going to get to the bottom of this because i have faith in John Ratcliffe, like we had faith in ric grenell getting the information the American People need to get. This whole thing as you point out, they used maria congressman, it feels like theyre getting you away with it. Okay. It feels like theyre getting away with it. I recently reported that i have been told that were not going to get any indictments before the election, were not going to get any interim report from john durham and here you have another u. S. Attorney stepping down. U. S. Attorney john bash was tasked in may by ag barr to investigate the unmasking by obama officials. He resigned on friday. Whats that about . Look, i dont think we should read too much into that. I know mr. Bash is stepping down. Look, im as frustrated as you. I wanted information out. The folks i get the privilege of representing in the Fourth District of ohio they bring this issue up all the time, as i travel around the state and the country, i get that question all the time, the fundamental question, when is someone going to jail. I wanted the investigation completed by mr. Durham. It obviously isnt. When that happens, i dont know. Thats up to the attorney general, up to mr. Durham. Im still confident in the good work that bill barr has done. Mr. Jensen, but for the work of mr. Jensen, we wouldnt know what they did to michael flynn. So john durham is doing his investigation. Lets hope we get that information as soon as possible. And ultimately the American People can get the full picture, the full truth. Maria all right. I want to move on to the president. Before we go, i guess now you can get covid over the internet . The fact that Andrew Mccabe says hes not going to testify in front of the senate Judiciary Committee because of covid, congressman, you want to react to that . You were supposed to hear from Andrew Mccabe today. This is so frustrating. He should come in. Remember, it was the democrats who pushed for all this. The democrats who pushed for virtual hearings, the democrats who in the house, we have now proxy voting. The first time in American History you can actually phone in your vote. There are members of the u. S. House of representatives, Democrat Members who havent shown up in months. Theyve been phoning in their months. The American People dont get to phone in their work. Somehow the democrats i think its inconstitutional. The idea that he cant come testify is ridiculous. Hes trying to run out the clock. But i hope he comes in. Hope mr. Graham pushes for him to come in. We dont want it to interfere with the confirmation of justice barrett. We want her to get confirmed as soon as possible. But he should still come in and testify. This is just one more example of these guys playing this game and not getting the information that the American People need to get. Maria but congressman, they cheated once. Theyre going to cheat again. So President Trump has returned to the white house. He is recovering following his coronavirus diagnosis, congressman jordan. Give us your reaction and also the reaction of your critics that are absolutely insane over this. Let me tell you that a friend of mine received three absentee ballots the other day, okay. She received three absentee ballots, two of them were for relatives that have not lived in the country for 50 years, one was for his son that died last year. So youre seeing something going on in new york, a lot of my friends are telling me theyre getting absentee ballots. It looks like theyre cheating again. They cheated in 16 by interfering in the election by making up a story about trump. Now theyre trying to cheat again. Is that a fair statement . Maria, well theyre trying to win the election after the election. Why is it only one party who says its okay to receive ballots three days after the election even if you cant determine the postmark date. Go figure. So this is scary. Theyre trying to win the election after the election. We had a federal judge in wisconsin said you can count ballots six days after the election. The democrats are trying to win this after the election. Im nervous about this too. Because we had just like the person you referringed, we had a referenced, we had a staffer who works in our office, received four ballots from people who had moved from that place. Maria what are you going to do about snit. It . If theres someone thats to play games and vote those ballots, its a scary thing. I think the president is going to win. Im concerned about the idea of counting ballots after election day. You know, the democrats i keep saying this. Theyre trying to win the election after the election. The way it works in america, is you win elections before the election by going out and campaigning and talking to the American People, talking about what youre going to do if you get the chance and privilege to serve and represent them and you count the votes on election day. Thats not how the democrats are trying to play it this time. Thats why we have lawyers looking into this and making sure the election is fair and free the way its supposed to be. Maria i hope you have the right amount of lawyers. Biden says he has 600 lawyers that are going to contest the election. What about the criticism that the president went home too quickly . Real quick, congressman. Look, its an answer to a prayer. Were thankful the president and first lady is doing well. Were glad hes back at the white house fighting for the American People. Its a testament to how tough this president is. You think about what hes had to endure, now he had to endure the coronavirus, looks like things are moving in a great direction. Hes doing a great job for the country. I think so Many Americans are so pleased that hes doing well and hes back at the white house, continuing to work for them. Mariai. Maria . Maria i saw you tweet about it. Thank you so much. Always great to talk with you, sir. Joining the conversation all morning long, Dagen Mcdowell, Brian Brenberg. We have a lot to talk about this morning, guys. Well take a break and well get back at it. Youre watching mornings with maria, live on fox business. Maria welcome back. Time for the word on wall street. Top investors watching your wallet this week. Joining me now is Payne Capital management president , ryan payne, linda dissell and publisher dennis gartman. Great to see you all. Markets showing some rebound. Futures are flat today ahead of trading and also ahead of the Third Quarter earnings reporting season which happens next week with jp morgan kicking things off on the 13th. Investors showed optimism yesterday. Ryan, lets talk about allocating capital this morning after President Trumps return to the white house and further talks on stimulus, all major indices ended in positive territory. Linda, your take on the markets and the future of this recovery . Well, i think the markets going to slush around here around the 3400 figure. Generally the market is volatile going into the election and we should expect it to be so. But theres just too much money out there to really get too bearish here and even the thoughts that we might have a contested election seem to be be in the markets already. So i just think we need to be bullish and fingers crossed for those financials. Maria the financials of course going to really see activity next week when they report their Third Quarter earnings. Are you expecting good numbers . Real quick. Yes, were hoping for good numbers. Were also hoping for an outlook that suggests the yield curve goes upwards and helps a sector thats a big sector of the stock market, could use some inflation. Were looking for good outlook comments. Maria what about big tech . The house antitrust report hinting at a potential breakup of the Big Technology firms, according to reuters, expressing concerns that firms use acquisition to eliminate competition. This is the belief on both sides of the aisle, talking about this for some time. Do you think the Companies Get taken down to size and be forced to break up . Would you buy them . Im not so sure here. Lets face it, congress doesnt really understand these companies. You know, you had all the big leaders from tech on capitol hill this summer and i think one of the congressmen asked Mark Zuckerberg what a tweet was. He had the wrong company. So i think bottom line, if you look at the longterm track record of these antitrust cases, theyre not very good. Ibm in the 80s was unsuccessful. You had microsoft in the 90s. That was unsuccessful. And do we really want to kill the golden goose here . At the end of the day, 14 of the Largest Tech Companies in the world right now are u. S. Tech companies. Really, i dont know i dont think we want to destroy that competitive advantage. I think its probably not the right head wind but i think tech is overvalued here. If i could buy the entire european stock market for the same amount of these five companies, i have to think somewhere here youre probably seeing some over ofvaluatio va overvaluation in that sector. Maria what a comparison, thats incredible. Banks meanwhile obviously in the spotlight, treasury yields reaching the highest level since june and were very close to zero as the country continues to recover. But new reports show that stimulus could have a negative impact on banks expand. We will end up seeing the short end of the rates. The fed has no intention of tightening Monetary Policy at the shortened. It will keep rates near zero for the next two or three years. Youre starting to see inflationary pressures push up back end yields. We have a 157 yield on the 30 year. I think were going to go to 2 or 3 over the course of the next several years. Look at commodity prices, wheat is moving up, rice is moving up, crude oil finds support at 37 a barrel. Were starting to see inflation manifest itself in the commodity markets. I think youll start to see that playing out in the long end of the curve. In that instance you want to own banks. I think you want to own regional banks, trying to keep it as simple as possible. Own regional banks in your ya. Hillaryareathat have geographicn over of two or three states. I think banks are going to do well because the yield curve is going to get positively stoked over the course of the next two or three years. Maria all right. Well be watching that. That has implications across the market. Thank you for being here this morning. Stay with us. Steve bannon is coming up, well get his take on the president s moves, after the break. Former white house chief strategist steve bannon pleading not guilty in an alleged scheme to defraud donors in a 25 million fundraiser to build President Trumps border wall. He was accused back in august of taking more than 1 million from the nonprofit to pay his personal expenses. Three other men were also charged. Joining me right now is steve bannon. Steve, it is great to see you this morning. These charges happened since the last time i spoke with you. What is your response. Complete, total nonsense. My c4 had a 1 Million Contract to provide services. This is the Administrative State trying to stop me from working for President Trump on his reelection and its an abject failure. I have a bigger platform, more access to resources, im more engaged for President Trumps reelection. Theres a plot to steal 2020, that the democrats have mass hysteria with their voters, no democrats want to go to the polls to vote, they want to steal it from President Trump starting on the evening of november 3rd after he has a massive game day victory. So no, totally innocent, complete joke. That will all be shown later. Thats for another day when we go to court and blow this thing out of. Right now, this is all about reelecting President Trump. If we dont reelect President Trump, this countrys going to be in a deep dive. Maria so lets talk about that. The president s speaking directly to the American People last night, just hours after being released from Walter Reed Medical Center. Heres the president last night. Take a listen. Dont let it dominate. Dont let it take over your lives. Were the greatest country in the world. As your leader i had to do it. I know theres danger to it but i had to do it. Maria so he is now under the watch of top doctors at the white house. He continues treatment, steve but his critics are going mad that he left the hospital so quickly. What does this mean for the campaign . Talk to us about what your reaction is to all of this happening in the last 24 hours. Look, were on the set right now, were in pandemic. I started covering this months before the Mainstream Media did. They were laughing and heck ling me. I know the Chinese Communist party and i know china. This came from the Chinese Communist party. What youre seeing from the democrats over the last 24, 48 hours is the same hysteria that forced their voters not to want to go vote. Its a linkage between bidens campaign and the hysteria in the Mainstream Media. President trump is offering up leadership. The virus is a fact. But youve got to work through that with rational decision making. On the debate, President Trump was talking about second and third order magnitude imp do as a country to have in new york city, look at the disaster that de blasio and cuomo, democratic governors and mayors have made the greatest city on earth. Biden wants to go to the basement and just hide. Thats playing into the hysteria. What trump offers is leadership. Hes got the ccp virus and hes powering through it. I think hes showing the country real leadership. This is to me if the democrats think theyre going to win on covid, ive got another thing. When President Trump goes out and makes the compelling case that hes making right now that hes got the disease and hes powering through it like the country has to power through it. The decisions are very tough. You have to mitigate the risk, make tough decisions. Its called leadership. Joe biden is buying into this hysteria. Let the scientists make the decisions. Its not that simple. The scientists are advisors about data and information that you then make decisions off of. I think right now President Trump i look at last weekend as like almost the billy bush weekend. Now he can step up and power through this thing, get focused, hes the best closer ever. Lets compare and contrast the leadership of President Trump and the really the buying into the hysteria that joe biden has. Maria but steve, you heard the last segment, right. Theyre going to cheat, already his critics are out demanding that he cover up, wear a mask, get back inside, get back to the hospital. They are angry that hes back at the white house and he seems to be beating this covid situation. And the ballast i dont know if this administration has the number of lawyers that biden does but you heard Hillary Clinton. She says joe biden should contest this election whatever it takes. Maria, she said dont concede under any circumstances. This is what ive been working on. Maria thats right. Theyll step in, jason miller, mayor guliani, a great team over there, steve cortes on the campaign. I was always the last couple months leading this effort, understanding they couldnt win on game day. They cannot win on game day. They have to try to steal it starting the evening of novembe. President trump is going to have a massive victory that evening. Theyll have a combination of lawyers, media, social media, oligarchs in silico silicon vald the street muscle of antifa and several elements of black lives matter. Thats why im doing a National Tour to alert people. Theyve got 800 lawyers. Theyre already in with hundreds of lawsuits. This is why we need to confirm the ninth justice for the supreme court. Cases are already going to the supreme court. We need nine justices. We need judge barrett right you away to get on top of this. Ive got to tell you, President Trumps group, the outside groups are organized. Were not going to allow the hysteria of the Democratic Party to steal the game day victory from President Trump. This is going to be a fight like no other. But President Trump is going to prevail. Maria do you think he will have a landslide . I think on the evening i think on game day vote, i think on the evening of november 3r november 3rd, President Trump will have a massive victory. Remember, whats happening right now, both the mailin votes and early votes, the Democratic Party is cannibalizing their early their game day vote. They dont have a lot of low propensity voters. Thats why youre seeing the panic of Michael Bloomberg putting 100 million into florida. This is why youre seeing the democrats, pelosi and all of them, trying to pivot, go doortodoor. Its too late. They have forced people underground. Its too late for them to do it. Theyre going to try to steal it the night of november 3rd. Were not going to let them. President trump is going to win on game day and hes going to win hes going to win everywhere else and be inaugurated on the 20th of january. Maria steve, well be watching, of course. Your reaction to what the president is feeling or going through right now . Hes back at the white house. Is it still in a very critical or serious situation . How could woul would you charace things. Thank you for having me back on. The first phase of the virus, it enters the body, it begins to invade, attack tissues. The second phase is when you get in the second week, you see the inflammatory reaction, where there can be fluid in the lungs, where there can be clotting in the heart and vessels that really impact all the body. Then we come into the third phase which is chronic which is were beginning to see as more people have been infected, and they can have shortterm and longterm consequences. When youre given steroids you tend to feel really good. Statements you feel better than sometimes you feel better than you are actually feeling. And i think its great to see somebody up and about but i would not recommend walking up steps and i think the other important issue we have to think about here is that we tell people to wear a mask to protect others but when youre on steroids, youre potentially immunocompromised. Something as simple as a cold could impact you. I highly recommend that they really im sure theyre doing it for infection control, protecting him from others as well. Maria how much longer do you expect the president will have to be resting and in sort of a fragile state. Maria, thats such a big question. Were learning about every individual who is impacted with covid. Were coming into a really important phase right now and thats where there is an inflammatory phase. Its probably why they gave steroids. You have to watch the patient very carefully. Theres a lot that we dont know about this virus. One of the things we do know is its quite unpredictable. Somebody could feel great one moment and the next moment quickly deteriorate. The other issue were seeing now is someone thinks theyve gotten over it and a month or two or three months later they begin to develop symptoms and some of them can be debilitating, from fatigue, to pain, cognitive changes, Mental Health issues, heart issues. We have to watch them very carefully. Maria Dagen Mcdowell. Dagen dr. Mark, you raise the dexamethasone, the steroid that was given to stop a potential cytokine storm, reduces inflammation. You explained it in a doctorly way. I want to raise the issue of the way some people have talked particularly about the dexamethasone in the media. There was a doctor who was on cnn who talked about the Mental Health side effects, delirium, psychosis, you would never want to say that the president is experiencing that but, dot, dot, dot. This morning, on another morning show, the hosts are talking repeatedly over of and over again how the president is roided on. My mother was on dexamethasone after a diagnosis with cancer. I think its a very dangerous message to send to the nation and the world about a steroid that can really work miracles for some people and its been around for more than 60 years. Im an endocrinologist. Steroids are in my toolbox. Theyre very powerful tools. They can impact every system in the body. Theyre being used to reduce inflammatory reaction. They can impact every system in the body, they can impact your muscle strength and they can have impact on the brain. Its not uncommon monday to see steroid induced euphoria. Yoits something that physicians are really careful to watch out for and to make sure that the patients doing well. Also, covid19 is an interesting virus. It attacks every part of the body including the brain. So again, we just have to be on guard and to be able to watch. I have the privilege once to Practice Medicine in the medical unit at the white house, i was a guest at the white house, another guest became ill and the president s physician was caring for a visitor in the rose garden so i had an opportunity to take the patient thousand down to the medical unit to stabilize her and its a very wellequipped medical unit, state of the art. Its staffed by outstanding doctors, nurses, practitioners, im sure theyre watching him carefully. Maria are you comfortable then, as we wrap up, dr. Mark, are you comfortable with the president being home to be monitored or do you have an issue, like some of his critics do, that he left walter reed and is now at the white house . Well, lets talk about walter reetd for just a reed for just a moment. Its a phenomenal institution. Its where we send our warriors to heal. I see the president as a war president and the virus is our enemy. We dont send troops into battle without protective equipment. Right now, thats masks, hand washing, social distancing. With that being said, i think what we need to ensure is that all those measures are carried on at the white house. The challenge we have here, as i mentioned earlier, is that somebody can do well one moment and the next moment deteriorate. I think they can stabilize him in this unit but if there has to be any invasive procedures or if theres a need for an intensive care unit you need to be back at a materia tertiary care facilit. Walter r50 e reed is a few momes away. Time is of the essence. Its all hands on deck. Maria doctor, thank you very much. Great to talk with you and get insights on this, such an important issue. Crime in new york city reaching new highs, murders in 2020 have blown past all of 2019s tally, theyre up 36 with three months remaining in the year. Last month, 160 Business Leaders and ceos from all five burroughs sent a letter to mayor bill de blasio, urging him to create a clear path to bring the city back to life. In part, it reads this. People will be slow to return unless their concerns about security and the live abilitabif our communities are addressed quickly and with respect and fairness to our citys diverse populations. Joining me now is realty chairman and ceo, scott wreckler, its great to have you this morning. Thanks for joining us. First, assess the situation. Tell me about new york. Thanks, maria. Its good to be back. You remember in spring when we spoke, new york was in a tough spot. We were in the epicenter of the crisis. We worked very hard and brought down the virus, bent the curve and now for the last couple months weve had an infectious rate around 1 . Were leading the nation in that. When it comes to the recovery we feel theres a major leadership void. Whats key to a leadership post a crisis is putting forward a plan that helps us navigate through the crisis, provides hope and leads by example. And unfortunately, myself and a number of Business Leaders dont feel that were getting that from the city at this point. Maria so in an article for the daily news last month, you wrote this. New york hasnt gone anywhere. Its alive and stronger than ever. Do you believe that energy is stronger than ever . I know plenty of people that dont want to go back to new york because theyre afraid. Its all security related. Not even covid. Its about security. Yeah, listen, i think the key you hit it right. Security is key, Public Safety is a prerequisite for anyone. While crime is much lower than it was in the 90s, a fraction of what it is, theres a perception issue. Part of solving this problem its a chicken and egg problem. You need to bring people back to the streets and you need to actually take the streets back from where theres homelessness back right now, you need to police to know they have their back. What ive seen in the city is energy. I was here this weekend, walking around, seeing Outdoor Dining and the activity, energy that was here and creativity is back. The key in my mind is creating a safe environment, a strong quality of life, encouraging people to come back to the city, ride our subways, occupy office buildings, go to Small Businesses and begin this ecosystem t so that it starts up again. Maria theyre just closing schools again though. So, you know, there are worries about another wave of covid. Let me bring in Brian Brenberg here. Because you may have written that a couple months ago, scott. But the truth is, now theres been a new decision this weekend to close schools. Go ahead, brian. Brian yeah. Scott. You talk about the energy in new york city. Im here, my wife and family and i came back but when you look at the city, you see energy and then you see the fraying around the edges. You see the trash thats not picked up. You see the camps you have to step over to get to the ferry or get to the subway. And thats really disturbing for people. And its that fraying around the edges that it looks like the mayor has zero interest in dealing with. And we know, if you dont deal with that, it becomes worse. Its the trend that people see. It looks to me like unless you get a mayor who fundamentally changes his or her approach to governing in this city, its not going to clean up. The energy might be there but the risk is growing. I think youre right. And i think that is why we wrote the letter. And thats why theres been frustration on my part and a number of Business Leaders, cutting for example the sanitation budget. So now all of a sudden you have garbage on the streets as you said. The homelessness crisis that a we have and not helping Homeless People go to places where they can get support and services, but putting them in hotels where they dont have that and they wander the streets. The more people come back to new york, the more new yorkers are taking control and refilling the streets and versus leaving a void for homelessness and other people that are doing things that are making the streets a challenge. Maria scott, youre a real estate guy. What has this done for real estate . You know, again, i think when you look at new york generally right now, our buildings right now, were about 12 occupied. But were 97 of the people are paying rent. The companies that we speak to realize they that new york is the greatest city in the world, has the biggest talent pool in the world and want to come back. But to your point earlier about the virus, this virus, we cant pretend it doesnt exist. It is something to be afraid of. So we have to learn how to cope with this virus. Maria were adapting. Thank you so much. Well be right back. Pam anderson here, on the other side of this break. Are you frustrated with your weight and health . Im a real fan of it. Im happy to offer an alternative to meat. Maria what has it done for your health . Were fans of dagen is a vegan. We talk about this a lot. What has it done for your lifestyle, for your health, being a vegan all these years . Its keeping me young, maybe. Its good for blood flow, like an afran aphrodesiac diet. It fits me perfectly. Dagen can you hear me . Its Dagen Mcdowell. You have been this is your whole lifes work. Its advocating for animals, trying to encourage people not to eat them and love them, right . Exactly. Lets do this. Theyre supporting my foundation. My Foundation Supports a lot of charities, not just animal rights, freedom of the press, freedom of speech, human rights and animal rights. Maria youre doing so much. In april you were appointed creative director of jasmine, a social media platform. Tell us about that and about the Small Businesses you have been engaged in for the last few years. Well, i was never a fan of social media. I thought it was ruining peoples lives, ruining Human Connection more than anything. I was convinced this is the future. I thought i might as well get involved with something i can make a difference and make something positive out of this scary thing called social media. Jasmine is a fun way to connect. Im creative director. I can do what i want. Im investigating it still. We have to embrace the future, embrace the present moment and stop romanticizing the past. Im happy to join forces with them. My foundation is busy, planting trees all over, and were planting 10,000 trees in the coming days and, yeah, busy, busy girl, always, trying to do good things. Maria you just keep a line of vegan purses are made out of apple waste. Its crazy. You can do anything these days. Maria you keep innovating. Its amazing to me. Can you tell us about julian assange. Weve been talking about declassifying documents. What can you tell us after the fbi of course seized material from the Ecuador Embassy . Well, its obviously a long story and a difficult one for me because hes a friend. To see him be kind of crucified like this is difficult for me. I know hes a mild mannered, sweet man and hes doing the best he can and we all believe in what he has done and no one was released from the release except for a few politicians. I hope maybe in trumps final days or end of his presidency or final days of this run, i dont know who will win the presidency and i wish him a speedy recovery also, is to pardon julian assange. Im hoping trump will President Trump will pardon julian assange. Thats my wish. [ laughter ] maria pamela, thanks very much. Well be watching all your innovations. Great to see you this morning, Pamela Anderson. Or a big one. You were thriving, but then. Oh. Ah. Okay. Plan, pivot. How do you bounce back . Well race to the white house deepens 28 days away from 2020 president ial election, markets bracing for election fallout wall street preparing for how standards of care stocks will be impacted by Biden Victory or trump reelection joining me one Business Leader stall wart Capital Group and ceo joining me all morning long Dagen McdowellBrian Brenberg great to see everybody this morning barry thank you so much for being here good to see you. You, too, good to you thanks for having me, maria. Let me i want to ask about your all that youve been doing in terms of investing start off with your take on reopening of the economy, getting back to business. How does it feel to now in october after the seven months that weve been at home . The basic economy is doing really well you know, the manufacturing sector, being obviously, markets are a blend consumer conference, home the household record highs, and home markets been on fire, so, the economy feels pretty good, except for those really impacted sectors, that is where unemployment remains in tourism lodging travel Industries Sports venues, shows, clubs. So you can see exactly how we get employment rate down almost two million unemployed hospitality workers right now bearing the brunt right now. Gdp for quarter up 30 going to after down 30 but right in front of the election, that is going to look really good going back to work. So interesting to see how the country is he evolving traumatized northeast way behind rest of the country, for example, Office Markets 40 occupied in dallas, only 12 occupied manhattan, coronavirus really hit hard delaying recover of some cities that most impacted by coronavirus, so it is an uneven recovery, you know, the Energy Markets kind ofs stabilized but down on the year. But the economy is doing i think much better than people might have thought. And you know exactly how to get the rest of the people unemployment down another couple points open economy let people travel again i think that is interesting. Go ahead. What about real estate barry i feel like it is a mixed story youve got home sales strong, are while other areas commercial real estate is in trouble in some areas of the country what is your take on real estate, because i know some managers are saying we dont need the space that we once needed when you are looking at corners of the country like new york people fleeing homes want to sell apartment sell homes worried about security. I think that is true you law and order in big blue city chicago new york, you know very important, in the voting coming up, and on the other hand, i think these cities are resilient, but years before they recover on their feet from our perspective we invest predict slow o recoveries, i not sure the bottom, san franciscan new york probably category five hurricane cities San Francisco 20 office space for sublease, i expect precipitously in it will be better in suburbs people think safer you dont have issues of crime and homeless things like that but i think it made living downtown difficult you are seeing peoplefully people, flee the taxing wealthy forever net worth scaring daylights out of people where they go so will go jobs dozens of people left Silicon Valley for as youtin, even miami i think that is a trend that under biden administration, it will force people talking 60 plus percent tax rates i think people will examine if they can where they want to live obviously, can live in taxfree states growing rapidly working, on people from places, i think the real thing markets have, it is our very being complicated right now apartment market Single Family fairly good i mean varied collection, occupations holding up issue of different cities new york San Francisco again rents falling occupation rising in heartland when we own 80,000 apartments doing just fine, like about 97 collection rate people are paying, industrial markets are great, so you have those two categories, you have Office Market yellow different by di cities tenants paying you he i think our collections 98 Office Market still renewal rents will they renew depends where you are we sold a building in raleigh a prooif equivalent to precovid doing fine then two red light hotels, resale like category five hurricane, hotels in particular will come back travel to come back. Let me ask you about your special acquisition purpose companies, incredibly well the ipo market doing very well, tell us about allocating capital what is behind this positive response from the investors to things like specs ipos in in market extremely the market youve had in beginning kind of sponsored by broken Hedge Fund Managers bankrupt target equity guys, and a lot of it stayed out of the market, today, youve seen Higher Quality people enter the market sponsors back, in that category what were doing is not real estate we are looking for growth in opportunities some have gone public with wore sponsors talking them up to levels they dont belong that so i think the market is fairly undisciplined right now real charlatans in market indiscriminate if they like your name take your stock no idea competitive advantages you are seeing worst behavior in some stocks, all, capital something a product no revenues over 30 billion dollars market cap, another doozy company failed comes back 3milliondollar valuation not most disciplined corner having said that viable way to go public i think compete very successfully against ipo another that of all activity this year, by 42 , so ipo process is sort of screwed up, a spec answer to that, a response does Due Diligence on Company Buying probably looked over 100 companies he several have chosen we turn them down at cheaper prices if going public, of course, there are lots of negotiations with sponsors over how to split economics lock ups, so i mean buyer be aware arent all Good Companies some are treacherous train wrecks we are trying to find Something Better in five years that is our goal bigger and better. Quick, you said the markets frothy do you expect that we are going to see a selloff with Something Like biden presidency 4 trillion dollars tax increases spark a obeying selloff in is to. My comment i thought democrats if democrats swept would mean tax rates Capital Gains tax rates increase. Given runup like tesla apple would be crazy for people 400 increases in tesla not to take Capital Gains this year, selloff highest flying stock most tech rallied to stream levels 100, snowflake 172 times revenue those stocks a temporary hit i think market was to adjust to o Corporate Tax right going to talking 28 up in 21 could pull market down offseting that scale of stimulus package the democrats talking about passing, by the way, will really hurt unemployment, it will not reach 600 dollars benefits to unemployed is too high the republicans are right at 400, you have you cant give people more money to stay unemployed than working i hear are this all over the country i have seen it, it is a really bad plan of the democrats 1200 dollars isnt needed either a trillion two trillion dollars cash flooding through markets going to overwhelm probably tax increase short run markets need to continue to rally even though i think we are too many. Maria welcome back turning a profit amid covid smash burger reporting will see a positive sell a increase if five month streak largely due to revamp allowed changes brought on by pandemic joining me president of smash burger, karl, thanks very much for being here walk us through some of the issues your company faced as a result of the pandemic. Shy maria, thanks for having us, we have same challenges everybody did how do we pivot quickly during a pandemic really heartfelt reasons, to dry our business in our local communities and keep people working. So we certainly had major challenges, when our business really had to pivot from a dinein business to a takeout delivery, business and how we would pick and change business to do that. Maria how easy was that able to adapt you attributed success to fivepoint plan adapting to delivery mode different kind of approach how tough was to it adapt. Amazing think about business like i said five months of doubledigit growth, and we are going to continue to grow with 2 dinein we had to pivot the business, very challenging, but thepoint plan made it ease accelerated plan Building Infrastructure for growth during pandemic may be werent ready for this had to find a way people value high skwoolt safe food wanted to find a way to enjoy food with family we had to find a way to do that, taste a big thing for us redining portfolio making restaurants accessible digitally accessible to curbside ping had to find a way to do business differently, then whvg we call fsc a focus on food quality, service and cleanliness this is kind of our parent companys mo, if you will, fsc security Gold Standard products big thing pivoting from the perception you never want to see them cleaning, this mentality every 15 minutes take five employees clean restaurants sanitize restaurants let guests see what were doing to make them safe. Go ahead, sorry. Because the marketing people have to know what you are doing where you are. So the marketing of the brand is really important as well in this environment, let me ask you your take on industry as a whole because a lot of people are worried that many restaurants will not be able to make it, if you only allowed 25 capacity inside. I thie super challenging with 25 capacity. But businesses have to learn to pivot i think it is around a incidentally transformation out of the mode i have been doing this out of 30 years we have to get out of mode we deserve them to come to us because we have a brickandmortar spot we have to hustle attack them will from a digital standpoint connect with people. And i think, for instance during pandemic really, he engaging local communities, the restaurants that are really thriving now, are engaging in local communities with different programs we did one feed front liners got involved with local Fire Departments police stations hospitals during pandemic. And we really created a program where we raised over 175,000 dollars, plus 30,000 front liners got us to engage made our employees happy to be part of the community i think that is key for restaurants today. We will leave it there we will be watching best wishes to you, karl bachmain u. Yeah. Thanks maria for having us, thanks for calling out our scientists, who worked through pandemic frankly in the epicenter in record time to bring this potential treatment have to patients. You know, you have been infected with virus your body was guards, the guards get called antibodies for those to smother that virus but in beginning of infection the virus gets a foothold before your antibody can take effect our drug is giving you antibodies your body eventually should make in billions of little antibodies, trying to control virus we have tested this drug, in Clinical Trials testing not complete but very, very encouraging, and i think it was appropriate for consideration, and use. To get o to give to the president , go ahead. Maria and the president doctors asked you to do that on a compassionate use basis, the company said treatment reduced viral loads nonhospitalized trial patients, who have mild to moderate covid symptoms, when do you anticipate this treatment willoverly, approval a sir . Right, so there are several ways drug can be distributed one in emergency use authorization we have literally in discussion as we speak with fda trying to explain our data, explain some rationale, why we think it is appropriate, and we hope that they will consider that favorably will take a little bit of time that is ongoing. Over the he o longer term when we have final trial results we would apply for a regular full approve as for antidote that will happen in month or so down the road. What is your take on where we are in terms of therapeutics a vaccine as we face off against this killer covid19 assess the situationingswhere are we in terms of treatment and vaccines. A large swath of the public would like to think viral are pharmaceutical industry is evil to me uplifting experience to watch so many people try to so, so much to try and do it in a cooperative way, sharing information, trying to make sure that the industry responds to the nation frankly world needs. I am optimistic. I dont think it is a matter of if i think it is simply a matter of when. When will we have enough data to find a safe vaccine . That is coming cant tell you exactly will when, but i believe that is coming. In terms of therapeutics, are i think our antibody cocktail has shown very encouraging data, and fact the same approach has worked in ebola able to show lifesaving approach in ebola, in fact monoclonal aides safe class of drugs i am very optimistic for this there are other are therapies he the industry responding as it should i think the industry is demonstrating thating innovation is valuable there is value to be able to innovate and dealing with pandemic, should be the main focus of the industry right now as appears to be that is what it is. Maria absolutely, that is why big investors are willing to take a shot on investing in Companies Like yours and others because they recognize, the information outcome could be huge dr. Schleifer what have you learned about covid19 since you started this . Well, one of the things weve learned some respects it is a very unpredictable disease what happens when it happens how you feel what organs it affects things lining that lots of new facts. And other respects kind of very typically for a virus interaction with the host i think our data showed something really spectacular that if you have no antibodies in your sm you have lots of virus if you make antibodies your virus goes down if you have no antibodies your high virus at risk of lots of complications frankly might get hospitalized even die, just makes sense, that is the way it works early in infection you get virus not enough antibodies we are giving theort of even out fight a little bit until you make them yourself but that is a great scientific example how we could actually prove that get the data to show that, unequivocally frankly people had antibodies had low virus have in studies people who didnt have antibodies had very high virus graphing scientists predicted that but were first ones to show that. So do you think that if you have the antibody does that make you immune from contracting the disease a second time . Or do we not know the answer to that yet . I mean we dont have final answer in but i would be shocked as would most scientists experts in the field if having antibodies doesnt give you some protection against another infection, that is the whole principal of vaccines, you may get a smaller infection may get a day or two of symptoms as opposed to weeks or two, may either get there nothing the idea antibodies should protect you why if somebody gets being infected get antibodies we think will protect them if they havent given them we are studying how to protect people exposed with virus seeing if we can protect them, obviously, vaccines are trying to do same thing vaccines studying if you generate antibodies will you lessen experience or complete block someone from getting disease i think very likely. Go ahead, sorry. Maria i know that regeneron is working on a lot of other things walk us quickly through your pipeline, because youve got medicines on allergies, cancer, i want to find out where we are in the fight against cancer as well. There is very striking things going on with cancer most exciting thing about cancer is what were talking about today harn harnessing the body immune system to attack cancer tricky business, viruses are foreign body good attacking that cancer sort of part of your body very good evading immune system making immunosystem think they are just normal tissue cells in body but they are not. They are deadlyly one of the things working on we have a very exciting drug treats people with skin cancers deadly skin kars harnesses the immune system to attack specifically that cancer i think most exciting thing going on in cancer right now lots of Great Companies great stooipts across the industry working on it tremendous advances so many aspects of this, very optimistic that we can turn cancer into something that is treatable, alternative to many cancers not curable turn into chronic conditions. Will you continue to grow organically or looking at acquisitions dr. Schleifer. Regeneron has been fortunate my partner doing it together 30 years he is genius invents all this his team, and frankly we cant keep up with all the inventions he and his team come up with, so i would suspect, an acquisition for purposes of getting other products, probably not the main approach it is not that we wouldnt consider it, we like to acquire interesting technologies but i doubt you would see us do a large acquisition. Maria dr. Schleifer we will be watching we appreciate all your innovateing hope you come back soon sir thanks very te much. Thanks, maria good to take with you and to you dr. Leonard schleifer.
