Join megaright now is Iht Wealth Management steve, also joining conversation this morning, fox businesss Dagen Mcdowell and former home depot chrysler ceo bob. Great to see you guys this morning. Thank you so much for being here. Welcome back to you bob, steve let me kick it off with your your take on markets with this slow move up. For the major averages, we have a little bit of a correction in tech, last week, but would you allocate new capital to markets today . Yeah. We needed that correction too. It has been too long of a run in that area. I love the tech been a big fan for years talking about it on tv but the reality is it got way over ahead of itself. I would wait on the sidelines even further on the text part. Especially with the election coming up. We know youre going get a couple of pops im not saying theyre not going dongt to look for the money but look to pullback and jump in on rebowngdz like last week jump in a bunch. Youll probably see another five or 10 down swing in the next month or two so wait on that. Especially were in a volatile time right now with the election. With the virus, with all of the headlines that are out there. You can pick your points you dont have to jump in on the top part at all times. What is your take in the ipo market youve got snow flake going public tech company hitting market later today with a reported price of 120 dollars share. This is a Berkshire Hathaway Company Evaluation of 33 billion dollars is this a sign of strength for markets that we can see such a big deal getting such a good reception . It is getting huge reception and its surprising to up one another 15 in the last week or two of expectations. Im not going in right now guys. I just cant do it. Theres 14ipo this week and biggest week in six years. Its ahead of itself. You its going pop today we know that with all of the expectations to jump 10 and 15 and not going to help unless youre been on it so wait let it rug out in necks week or so you can get a better evaluation on this and better price theres no reason to buy in on the top again with this. This is like the epitome of the over enthusiasm that were seeing in the tech market right now. It is a good company. Kind of like tesla good company, crazy evaluations. Youre seeing same thing in this area right now with the ipos. So what about the back drop in the economy . Bob nardeli sales and a window into the consumer how do you characterize the back drop right now for the economic story right now bob . Maria good morning. I think it is mixed. If i would agree i would agree with steve. You know, we have a lot of certainty of uncertainty. I think there are some i dont to call them winners and losers but certainly some of the Retail Market it is that support the housing industry are extremely strong if you look at home depot if you look at lowes and Tractor Supply like lumber so real, you know, winners if you would call them that or people that are yet favorably impacted by this pandemic and then, of course, look at hospitality in some of the others airlines, manufactures, jet engine manufactures like jennie that are suffering right now and seeing a lot of layoffs. So i think we a mixed, mixed bag here. I think some of the Retail Markets will do well. And others will still be suffering when we hear the report at 8 30. Yes. Steve your take on the back drop here. Obviously, you want a Strong Economy for a stock market to see strength as well. Real quick. Yeah. Just like we were saying you are right. Retail space it is beat up right now i dont know how you can jump on it unless youre talking about home depot and parts that are taking advantage that have. We like walmart end the world were using them as a tech proxy right now because they are going to try to compete with amazon. They can get in way lower evaluation comparatively and one of the few companies out there right now that actually has the infrastructure and the ability to get to that barrier of entry to compete with them. It is not going to just be amazon world love amazon a Great Company but there will be competition. So if youre going to go that area you have to pick and choose and look for a good theme like that. Maria all right steve thank you so much for weighing in this morning good to see you sir thank you have a great day. Meanwhile tell you about Hurricane Sally a category 2 hurricane with winds topping 100 miles an hour. The storm drenching parts of the gulf coast lets get right to ashley, shes live in mobile, alabama ashley good morning to you. Reporter hey, good morning, maria, yeah here at mobile bay 30 miles from gulf shore and 45, 50 minutes from pensacola has been getting hammered all morning long from this hurricane. Now this did make land fall sally made landfall about 30 minutes ago or so. We got the official word from that. Another thing i do want to point out theres the upwards of 400,000 people without power right now. Because of this storm, and it will kind of lull and it will strengthen and that wind and that rain will just really whep you around. It is also expected to create up to 5 billion dollars in damage this is hitting really hard in alabama very, very hard in panhandle of florida. As i said, weve seen all of these power outage weve actually seen about 20, 25 of the transformers blow all residential and marina saying this is a major flooding event not just a let this go a little bit. But even though the hurricane made land fall this is a very long weather event the flooding, up to 30 inches of rain is expected to drop. Here, and this area, as well as in the panhandle maria. Maria wow. Be careful out is there stay safe ashley. Thank you so much well get back to her to check on conditions. Were just Getting Started this morning the war against the coronavirus. Maria welcome back President Trump face to face with vote for first time during a televised town hall with abc news in philadelphia. The president fielded questions on a variety of topics including administration handling of the coronavirus. Watch. I didnt down play it. I actually in many ways i upplayed it in terms of action. We did a very, very good job whether you call it talent or luck it was very important so we saved a lot of live when is we did that. Maria this as joe biden made a First Campaign stop in florida yesterday. Joining me right now is the editor in chief of the Hill Bob Cusack it is great to have you this morning. What did you think of the president s town hall . Hes a good counterpunch it was a unique situation doesnt do a lot of town hall so he was being interviewed by George Stephanopoulos and read voters and some of the arguments weve heard before on the economy which is fairly strong and republican strong point going into the election. But trump still has the advantage over biden on that. I thought it was kind of weak his sans answer was on health care and been Promising Health care plan for years and could be a real vulnerabilitity for the republican parties on election day. Maria you know bill gates with the microsoft cofounder slam u. S. Response to the covid19 pandemic in an interview. Took aim at the Trump Administration and cdc criticizing overly complicated test and lack of disease specialist on the task force what do you make of him gates stepping out on this . Not a good line for the president but president needs to make covid is, obviously, the big issue of 2020. Its not how you get into crisis. Its how you get out of them and if you know if we as a country can make progress over the next seven weeks thats going to be a good they think for the president. Certainly i think the if beginning can be criticized has been criticized will be criticized. But it is how where we are around halloween it is going to really decide the election, i think. Maria i think that much of the media has sort of written off the fact that he did close down travel on january 31st which was a really big deal. Now in a new piece for the hill out this morning you say oklahoma officials raise red flags before President Trumps fin Door Campaign rally in tulsa tbhak june what more can you tell us, bob . Rntion these are internal documents i got through a freedom internal email in days leading up to that controversial tulsa rally Oklahoma Health officials are raising red flags that this could be dangerous and one of them estimates that in between two to 10 people would die because of this indoor rally. You know, tragically herman cain died we dont know if it was because he is there without a mask. But certainly some people connecting the dots there. The governor got covid after that. Rally he said he didnt get it at the rallies but document shows a conflicts between governor and his own public Health Officials governor did not comment for this article. At least not yet. Maria you probably saw yesterday that misstep that Kamala Harris said by calling it the Harris Administration. Whats your take on the harris biden ticket at this point was that a party in slip . It could be and you want your Vice President to be loyal. And that gets a lot of attention when you call it Harris Administration so. So it could be, and thats certainly why there was speculation as you know maria, that maybe harris wouldnt be the pick maybe biden wasnt comfortable with her. So you have to choose your words carefully that was a bit of a gap by senator harris and we havent seen that yet that was i think the first one. Maria yeah bob good to see you thank you so much. Bob cusack from the hill joining thus morning. Coming up economic depression President Trump warning over what could happen if joe biden is lengted. Well take look at that then banning together. It is my vision so my plan includes preservision. You have people that arent wealthy but have done quell because of the stock market. I have, i have set records on the stock market even during the pandemic. And that doesnt happen by accident. If joe biden ever got in, i think you have a depression of the likes of which weve never seen in this country if you look at his policy where is he wants to raise everybodys taxes, you look at what he wants to do in terms of regulation where he wants to put all of the regulations back on that i took off, and then some and many cases double it up, youll have a depression the likes of which we havent seen in this country. That was President Trump speaking out on the economy last night during his town hall on abc. Dagen did you watch the town hall what was your reaction . E watched some of it clearly there were some of these questions looked like setup. And in terms of they look like hard core biden vote percent quite frankly number one, and hes got to be ready to answer those questions no fault on that. But in terms of the stock market, the president will be better off talking about Income Growth and getting people back to work here. And talk about where we were as a nation in terms of our economy before the coronavirus shutdown. The stock market is a very, very fickle thing and it can blows up in your face for any number of reasons. Like, you know, the Technology Stocks that have driven market up as they get weak. Better to focus on incomes, how fast incomes were growing for people kind of rank and file workers. Lower skill workers, and income inequality that was shrinking and how his plan of keeping Corporate Taxes where they are actually would help bring people back to work. And give people raises joe biden wants to raise Corporate Taxes to take money out of the hands of companies and hurt workers. You know. Dont forget right before covid19 showed up we were looking at income inequality actually narrowing and wages going up. Bob, we are looking at a new plan from republican it is looking to keep the white house also fighting to take back house of representatives house gop members led by mccarthy unveil their commitment to america plan jot lining their goals they win a majority in november they include increase funding for covid Testing Police training, ten million new jobs, and moving supply chains out of china, bob. They say look, were announcing this commitment with america with three octaves restore way of life rebuild greatest economy in history and renew the American Dream. Your reaction to what you heard from the republicans yesterday . Yes, mar ya i think all of those points are critical but if i take a look at it from a business perspective, one i would totally agree request dagen relative to what happened. Question saw floor Corporate Tax and lowest unemployment level. We saw all kinds of innovation as a result of administrative policy reductions in improvements. Then on the house bill, i think you know, again from a business perspective what i personally experienced during this pandemic, the ppe, Protection Plan kept people employed. The support that this gave to small and need businesses which are at the floor of our economy is critically important. I think its very strong. Its a very strong platform and i hope they can get this passed. I hope pelosi is right and great to see the Congress Work for a while and not take another recess get something done positive for the American People. Maria absolutely. Jackie well time flies that was the theme of apple hardware event featuring newest product the annual showcase entirely virtual this year joining me right now with a break down is cyberguy kurt, we have a lot of products to go through. What struck you most about this years event . How hallow empty apple park looked behind ceo tim cook when he launched it and production values make me look back at every one of the other events ive been to this lye and say do we really even need kind of public gatherings when they can make it look this slick . In a product reveal globally. So it does look slick. The most excitement surrounding six apple watch tell us about that. Is it as special as theyre making it out to be . Well, you have apple making another bigger play toward health here. Apple series six coming out in october it will be at about 3 99 dollars on back of the apple watch a new way through infrared and red light to read the color of your blood to read the blood oxygen saturation level why would you want to know that . Guess what combine that with heart rate and signs to pick up and might have signs according to tim cook that you have covid. It could pick out a potentially heart congestive failure it could pick up a bunch of stuff by combining signs not gong to diagnose that but give you a hint saying things arent looking right here you better see your doctor so a lot of big at play with watch as well as tieing it into their services some more. Maria because health care really is the growth story here trying to track everyones health and wellness has been really resonating with people theres also apple watch se right what makes that one unique . You know what youre seeing here is solidifying of cookes plan to really take the existing apple product line and then stretch out these versions so that you have the lower more affordable end one which is the sea, that is much massive success earlier in the year. Right when the pandemic hit do you recall they launch iphone sc, and as chinas sort of coming back around sales were through the roof. Of ai phone sc did fine globally taking on same sign. Heres a more affordable watch where essentially you got the old watch in outside, and youre just making some tweaks upgrades of inside lowering of price starting price on that, 279 dollars which is phenomenal for that kind of break through. Will not have that oxygen sensor on it losing some of the bells and whistles. Not everything was really small you have the ipad also getting an upgrade right. Tell us about that. Again, so youve got ipad just a basic ipad and youll notice also product launches their timing them out. Heres the ipad that is going to be most basic ipad that apple makes. Youve got small, large medium going on product wise it is the most affordable this is great for students. It got a huge boost on the inside so they beef up inside with a12 processor a 40 faster performance there and graphic prrns is great this is perfect for kids going to be faster than any chrome book youll find on the planet. A solid product. Looks kind of the same on the outside but much different on the inside. And superaffordable, 329 to walk into that. Maria what about the ipad air, that wont be out until next month right what about the upgrades there . Brand new design from the ground up complete overhaul of one of apples most absolutely successful tablets. Ipad air has new square edges on it. And a much, much faster chip that it is supertiny on inside five man meters in size smallest theyve ever done oustanding performance on this youre going it see ability to do gaming and video superhigh end stuff. This is that machine where all of a sudden youve got that middle ground product that has superHigh Performance thats going let you bail on laptop altogether. So it is going to really erode laptop market and this with that a14 bionic chip is promises that also delayed until october for the launch on that. And bring it to the gym but mainly to compete with home workout market. I would say knock, knock knock to peloton on this one not that it is going to take over peloton right away but keep their eye on it and erode a lot of look at the regime and look at also any of the online workouts services that have done quite well. All right real quick apple one bundles multiple apps tell us how does it work . Reading market right now saying okay we have services some are not so enchanting some are great what if we combine them and lower price so theyre going come out later this fall with apple one. All right here on mornings with maria. i need it so bad dont call it a hobby. Its way more than just a job. This is how we live every single day. Can we go and play . roaring of engines i needed to try needed to fall i needed your love im burning away i need never get old maria welcome back standsoff in california ending an hours Long Police Standoff in Los Angeles County ended with a car jacker in custody. The police claiming theres no connection to the suspected shooter of two l. A. County Sheriff Deputies over the weekend. Then the deputies listed in stable condition this morning, a reward for the shootser is now set at 275,000. Join megaright now is fox news senior judge Andrew Napolitano what a standoff in california. Your reaction. You know, youre right, maria, good morning, the Law Enforcement community has mobilized massive resources in Southern California to find this person. And while i went to bed last night it looked like he was the guy and appears, though, hes somebody theyve been looking for but doesnt have any connection to the attempt at assassination of these two Police Officers who are sitting in their cars part of their duties. And survived, so the hunt continues. This was quite a chase last night they actually found this guy in a garbage dumpster using a dog to sniff him out. And when they found him he had a high powered rifle with them similar to one they believe was used in carjackings and may have been used in the attempt at assassination of the police but this morning theyre saying they dont think this is the guy. And who tried to kill cops and hunt for that person continues. Maria meanwhile, i want to get your take on this iewner uber story test driver with charges facing negligent homicide changes in Maricopa County after selfdriving car she was testing for the Ride Sharing Company struck and killed a pedestrian. In 2018, thats pleaded not investigators say she was watching the video on her phone and did not brake in time you remember this story and this video when she was watching the video in her car. And actually struck a person, judge. Your take. You and i and our colleagueses discuss this when it happened because it was one of the very first collisions in the country involving a selfdriving car resulted in death of a pedestrian so the law is novel here. There are no laws as to who was responsible. Is she responsible . Is she responsible for breaking the car or engineers who designed this thing who fail which failed to detect the presence of the pedestrian responsible uber itself has been cleared by the same prosecutor that is prosecuting her. So shes probably going to have lawyers and experts point to the engineers at who designed this thing. In order to exculpate herself i dont think she should be prosecuted but prosecutor knows a lot more about this case and her behavior than i do. It is hard to says where this will go it is a novel area of the law. It is the first prosecution of its type in the United States. And then theres this one Million Dollar bail for pennsylvania protesters, judge, 7 of 13 demonstrators facing price tag after arrested in lancaster on sunday night. Theyre accused of committing crimes participating in a civil disturbance following Police Shooting sister called authorities in hopes of having him involuntary committed for Mental Health treatment after wielding knife at front door. Judge. The bail is very high. But the reason the bail is this high is because the prosecutors and the flees police have evidence that this was not just a spontaneous demonstration. This was an organized effort to injure the innocent and to destroy the property of the innocent. That i think court will probably lower the bail. But for four of these seven people they arent not from lancaster they came to lancaster as group apparently with a plan to do the damage they did. Their damage is utterly unrelated, it appears to legitimate political desent and court is concerned that a high bail would be necessary to assure their return at the time the court meets in the courtroom. Maria dagen jump in. Judge why are more violent rioters anarchist held on at least sol bail okay they can put up bond i understand that. Talking to just one Police Officer on the street a couple of weeks ago, he said everybody who we arrested for looting and essential anarchy in new york city earlier this year, he was like they just are let right out because of bail reform here in new york state. Youve had the d. A. In portland, oregon saying im not prosecuting these people. It is not the amount of bail but fact these individuals rightly so are being held on bail period. Well, you know, again, you and i have discussed this many times youre a hundred percent correct the bail reforms in new york, and new jersey not in pennsylvania where the judges do have discretion when i was on the bench i had discretion to make a judgment call. How dangerous is this fern . What is the livelihood of their return . Qhar their roots in the community and what are their means to post bail . In new york and new jersey the judges dont have that opportunity. In pennsylvania they do. So the judge of pennsylvania sent a strong message and did the right thing. But the Police Officer who complained to you the other day that you just talked about has every right to complain and theres right on the mark. And until Governor Cuomo and mayor de blasio who were moving forces behind the bail reform in new jersey which basically says let everybody go. Until they see how dangerous that is, were going to be stuck with it here. Maria its not just here. Judge, Kamala Harris has been very clear she wants to get rid of cash bail across the country. You know, i dont know how the federal government could do that. It would be horrific if it did. Bail is very important. The right to yeah she did say it. But the only way the federal government could do that would be to bribe the states to give them money to change their bail laws because 95 of these cases that were talking about somebody commits crime, theyre brought before a judge. Theyre set free within a half hour to commit another crime our state issues and state crimes in state courts with state procedures. That the feds should keep their hands off of. Maria yep well she said in an interview this week, want to get rid of all bail reform cash bail reform across the country, and she wants to do away with private prisons. So thats from Kamala Harris this week. Judge, thank you so much for weighing in, great stuff. Judge, Andrew Napolitano really good important to get your take on that. Thank you. Coming up the war against the coronavirus. Joining the conversation all morning long this morning Dagen Mcdowell great to see you guys this morning. Great to see you. Great to see you, thank you. And it is time for the words on wall street joining me right now Montgomery Scott and marc payne capitol manager and portfolio officer great to see ewe gentlemen thank you so much for being here first up markets are waiting on the Federal Reserve. Futures indicating another triple digit gain at the start of trading this morning for the dow industrials, and investors are expecting fed to leave rates where they are. August retail sales are due out about in an hour and a half so we have good indicators of the economic back drop mark what are your expectations . Well maria. Certainly weve seen at the path of least resistance for stock market sup. Obviously interesting here is that pullback in tech stocks wasnt accompanied by declining yields and moved up inductive of isolated tech and indictment Global Growth and fed on that front were going to see no change in Interest Rates, of course. I think the only mystery here is whether jay powell and company are going to add to the Virtual Meeting but were talking about average inflation targeting in or what kind of Forward Guidance they may offer that accompanies plot relative to outcome base expectations as to what might move rate policy or do we have them staying still on any further discussion leave that to december meeting. So i think thats what the markets will probably waiver on predicated upon, obviously, too retail sales, of course, is a great signal as to how well Consumer Spending holding up. Maria yeah. You make a good point. Thats what wall street is waiting for. Whether or not we see it change in the forward statement that would tell you that cornerstone folks are saying that fed wont make any changes to the statement in particular, no new Forward Guidance and no modification in the pace of qe, maybe thats priced into the market if we dont hear much from the fed today meanwhile big tech is leading the way again Amazon Google Parent Company alphabet facebook all finishing up better than 1. 6 yesterday. Apple also ending day higher. This is another tech company now snow flake is hitting the market with an ipo ryan your take on the evaluation of these companies and the strength of tech asking leadership industry in the market. I mean it is insanity maria when you get down to and looking at evaluation and snow flake ipo come out 33 billion which is well above where it was priced just a couple of days ago. Which is just insane. I think you have this crazy dynamic right now wrote Retail Investors are driving the market. You have options trades that are up like 92 from last year and i think robin hood Trading Platform a little too easy to trade and offer free drinks with free trade. But i digress so i think right now you know youve got to be careful because tech is overvalued if you can keep going here, but you know were in a world where yield is so scars we just talked about fed in keeping rates low for much longer, and youve got a lot of Big Companies paying three or 4 that scarcity yield is important concept i think thats where money has to go. Maria yeah. Meanwhile tiktok is the story here continues time is running out. China is bytedance Parent Company of tiktok apparently would reportly retain majority control in the agreement with oracle a deal deadline set for monday lee i was struck by the journal this morning and how the yowrnlg journal is writing it that bytedance has ownership stake in tiktok and then oracle have a Minority Stake in the overall company. This doesnt necessarily look to me like the chinese theft of intellectual opportunity and pass with regulators . I dont know how it is supposed to. I mean whole issue is Data Security this is a shape of things to come maria. We have a two tiered bifurcated to have asian tech and tiktok is an exception to the rule you recall in summer when we ban reach i think most americans docket know difference between we chat and whats app. But i think that i was going for it. Yoangt see how the deal will work or really solve what is the core issue which is when we have major tech platforms in china, come and have a wildfire success in the u. S. , we now have to contend with Data Security also were shooting cannonballs not over but into the map. That i think were gong to see the same type of backlash when europe and other regulators look at what facebook is doing with scrutiny were already starting investigations this week into facebook so i dont think this deal is going to pass. Well see what happens. I think, though, it gives you a pessimistic environment in chinese tech that i think you can buy right now. Maria yeah. I mean i would agree with you it doesnt appear that this fixes the issues that having so wildly talked about that Tiktok Global business would also become a Company Based in the United States. And would remain a unit of bytedance this is according to the wall street journal reporting this morning. So were going to wait deadline is sunday you make important points there. Mark ryan, lee, great to see you gentlemen thank you. For bundling made easy, go to geico. Com. Maria welcome back breaking news this morning, eli lilly releasing results of covid19 antibody study. And it found positive results in treating patients with the virus and lowering need for hospitalizations for those with moderate cases. Join me right now first on fox Business Interview is eli lilly ceo dave ricks dave great to have you back this morning thanks so much and congratulations on these findings. Very positive news, tell us what strikes you most about what you learned from this phase two trial. Thanks for having me on it is important day against the fight against covid and approved first proof of concept for new approach designed to beat covid. The first medicine is really designed from scratch to beat covid. And lilly antibody in this study not only lowered viral load in patients. Improves symptoms but most importantly as you said reduced hospitalization risk by 72 in the study it is a smaller study we need to replicate findings but this is important day in fight against covid. This study was done in what we call ambulatory patients and people diagnosed at high risk factors improve as well so this is an exciting moment. Were, of course, encouraged by this and many studies ongoing with this drug, and leaning into this and fall season comes. Maria yeah los angeles to you all of your scientists working so hard on this, tell me what it means to say with those people who have moderate cases because that was one of the key points in the results of this study right . For those patients with moderate covid. Right. So this study and first of all thank you for saying that about our scientist hundreds at lilly working around clock since late february. To get to this moment today an hats go off to them and as well as collaborator and hospitals and 400 or so patients who volunteered it to enter this study. These patients we didnt know. They were mild, severe, or moderate yet. We entered them into the study as soon as they received a positive diagnosis. So it is really all comers study in that respect. And even with that all coming population, we saw this significant reduction in hospitalization. Today 50,000 or yesterday 50,000 americans were diagnosed with covid19. Thats a huge number and probably two or 3,000 of those in about a weeks time will progress to hospitalization where the risk go up, and Health Burden on our system increases. So the hope with this type of setting would be to use antibody if youre newly diagnosed particularly with high risk factors to provide progressing to hospitalization. And once you have the antibodies youve had covid, you no longer have covid you theres no risk for you to be around others right once you have those antibody . I want to get your take on that as well as what you see at the fda today, dave, because the Trump Administration has been trying to take down regulations, make the barrier to passage faster. Are you seeing that in your role as head of eli lilly have you seen change in terms of the fda efforting fast approval . First part of your question this is an antibody that was built for and engineered to supplement the bodies response to covid19. It last in the body four to six weeks, and another setting were studying and i think youve reported on is in prophylactic use at risk for infection studying same antibody in nursing home where is one patient has become sick, can we stop the spread thats another application. For this technology, but it goes on top of your bodies own response, and ting that Scientific Data so far shows you have mounted response against covid19 it is unlikely youre going get infected again thats why vaccines are weighed because they simulate Getting Better from the disease and perhaps that will be protective. Thats encouraging. As it relates to regulators and nih other collaborators within the government its been a great collaboration from the beginning. Thats one part of the Covid Response thats really working. The fda is making themselves available on moments notice theyre doing things in record time right along with industry. And thats an important point to raise here not only do we have around here but we have speeds and started this project in early march. Today were announcing first in Human Results normally maria that process might take five to 7 years. We just didding in about seven months and thats what the help of the regulator and incredible work of our scientists here at lilly. Well thats actually incredible, dave. I mean are you surprised at the speed with which you have been able to move . It seems that since this began, former sector eli lilly included has been just collaborating getting together to ensure that there is therapeutic, or a vaccine ultimately, the antibodies studies that youre doing in say in these phases that has just happened sooner than so many people expected. How is that possible, walk us behind the work that has been done to explain how youve been able to pick up the pace here and get this done so quickly . From the jump here at the beginning really even before we had outbreaks in u. S. Industry started talking and working with global experts but amongst ourselves to find solutions. And there have been so many collaborations probably in a given day march yay speak to a peer ceo one or two a day normally that doesnt happen in our industry maybe any other industry to figure out ways to speed up to work better together. But one important point here is, you know, the pharmaceutical industry is a u. S. Industry. The scientist who is did this work, are here in america, and that base of capability that we have which is really unique in the world, is built up over decades of investment. And repurposing it against covid, but had we not built up that base really had this uniquely american industry we would not be in position today to mount this kind of response to covid, and in the end, science is going to beat this thing and were science business, and lilly scientist along with whole industry have done a fantastic job not over yet, of course. But we need to we need to celebrate that. Thats fantastic and to that point youve also got phase three diabetes drug in the work and healthy pipeline there is that growth at lilly when you look at the diabetes work as well as even in opportunity on alzheimers right . Yeah weve got many exciting da pa outside of covid. Of course weve been working in the new area. We havent been Antivirus Company before. We kind of are now. But our Main Business as you mention is in areas of chronic disease diabetes in cancer, weve got prnght and knownsment coming over the weekend of Breast Cancer drug, and then alzheimers weve got some data coming out early next year that were excite excited to see everybody wants to break through in alzheimers. Were in the fight on all of those diseases as well. Maria of course were wishing you the best of luck with all of it. Dave ricks thank you so much sir. Dave ricks ceo of eli lilly. Maria welcome back Coronavirus Relief compromise, the house problem offering bipartisan stimulus deal with one and a half trillion including another round of checks unemployment boost, and money for the Paycheck Protection Program. White house chief of staff mark meadows saying it could provide a, quote, real opening for further discussions House Democrats shout it down with a plan with a 2. 2 trillion price tag joining me now is acting courthouse chief of staff omb director mick mol vein a pleasure seeing you. Good morning. Morning maria. Maria whether problem solvers or stimulus plan it doesnt appear that real negotiations are really going on right now. Is this just dead in the water right now . Well, i think youre right to say that those negotiations are not going on right now. Thats not to say that this could not move very, very quickly in next couple of weeks keep in mind the pressure is simply building on leadership in both the house and the senate. Folks are most at risk for getting blamed for not having a stimulus package would be the democrats in the house the republicans in the senate. All of the house is running for reelection. Much of the senate is running for reelection so the pressure will continue to build on leadership to try to get something out the door. And with the government needing to be funded by the end of september there will be a necessary carrier bill that must get passed. Between now and the election, so i think it is right to say that things have gone very slowly theres a chance that something doesnt pass but i do think that pressure is building to get something done. Maria i mean, do you feel that it is needed . You have been among those who have been prudent in term of spending youll have one eye on the debt all of the time. Do you believe at this moment in time something is needed . No. I dont. I think theres probably a growing group of lawmakers in washington who are starting to accept that. That retail numbers are good job numbers are Getting Better things looks like were turning out of the depghts depth of this recession i dont think thats necessary but never been the met flick washington, d. C. If you think you have to pass something in order to get reelected, lawmakers love keeping their jobs, pressure is going to be on them again in democrats in the house, republicans in the senate, to pass something so that they can go back and run on that between now and november. So i think your gut instinct is correct economics dont mandate it and politics, however, might. Maria meanwhile Kevin Mccarthy gop leader coming out commitment to america yesterday fighting to take back the house to try to indicate where the democrats have been, you know he says they orchestrated most baseless impeachment in u. S. History meanwhile the gop is trying to triple the amount of covid19 testing. Theyve got a promise to americans should they actually get the control of the house again. Three specific objectives restore our way of life rebuild greatest economy in history and renew American Dream what do you think it will take for republicans to take back marnghts in the house this november . The sort of turnout that we have in 2016 ill never forget the morning of that election when a friend of mine from pennsylvania called it about 9 00 this the morning said donald trump is going to be president he said because i just voted my precinct i was number 1850 and 800 voted all day. Donald trump can drive a turnout and likes not seen in modern politics before thats what it is going take i got back from pennsylvania i was in pittsburgh over weekend. The ground swell is there support is there for the president. Whether or not that translates to voting on election day, well be the make or break for republicans in both house and senate. Maria do you think, though, that the plans, the policies are resonate why are you getting that turnout do you think people understand that youre seeing the republicans try to come out with solutions and youve got the critics of the president sort of wanting to sew more chaos . You and i talked about this couple of weeks back what would election be . Trump versus trump qowld it be a referendum on the president or would it be trump versus biden i think that campaign, the Trump Campaign has been a decent job in last four or five weeks going after biden to make it a binary choice people dont forget you dont get to pick the ideal candidate and sometimes down to two or three people and campaign has done a decent job that have. If they can continue that continue the momentum they seem to have built in the last couple of weeks, ting carries them through give use a lot of coverage in the senate. The house is beginning to be tough. But the opportunities still exist. Maria all right mick great to see you thank you joining us there. We will, of course, be watching and covering it. Joining me right now is tennessee senator member of the senate arm services committee, Senate Commerce Committee Senate jew dish committee and senate affair senator Masha Blackburn thank you so much for joining us. How are you feeling about senate races now what kind of reception are you seeing this is one area that some supporters are worried about, the republicans losing the control of senate. Our Senate Candidates our incumbent candidates are doing a terrific job. And their poll numbers are good. We have them gaining strength and maria, as i looked at these races every weekend im chairing this targeted state Victory Program for incumbents they are out there. Theyre delivering their message, and were going be bringing them back, plus, were going pick up some other states that race in michigan with john james, he is, i think, were going to be seeing him come in as a senator, of course, coach, down in alabama. Youve got ron chetty you look at how the president is doing in minnesota and wisconsin, and other areas. Were in pretty good shape were working hard to make certain that we hold the senate for another four years of president donald trump. Maria and what do you think the most important issues are to voters. Will it be the economy . Will it be the handling of coronavirus . Or Something Else . We hear a lot about it three issues. Safety and security, and i will tell you especially with women, that is item number one. The second thing youre hearing a lot about is the economy. Because Everyone Wants that job security. They want the help of the economy. When you look at the performance of the economy, in 2019, and how you saw that plus and take home income in 2019, that is what people are warning to get back to. The recovery that youre seeing in the economy. The way the stock market is performing, the help wanted signs that are out. This is good news and it helps the president that he is for fracking in pennsylvania, and youve got joe biden who cant figure out if hes supposed to be for it or against it and has been on both sides of that issue. Maria i have to ask you about this tiktok situation, Chinese Company bytedance holding on in this tiktok deal. Weve got the wall street journal reporting this morning that the Chinese Company would res cane a majority stake in the app. This is part of a conversation even after oracle becomes its u. S. Technology partner. Missouri senator josh hawley spoke out about the dangers of the partnership. He writes this, any corporate shell gain that leaves tiktok in handle of bytedance simply perpetuate original problem using u. S. Everyday users at serious risk. I mean, given what weve spoken about, in terms of the threat from china, do you think it makes sense to have bytedance keeping a majority stake in tiktok once oracle acquires Company Technology partner, however, you want to say it . Yeah. You know, and the deal is that you have to look at what bytedance would be what their participation would be, and maria, at a more gradually level you have to look at what happened happen with data from u. S. Consumers. How would this, this be transported. Is it held within the u. S. . Does bytedance have visibility into that. Now reviewed this yesterday with we do not know what they have come out with but we do know that oracle is pushing to make this happen, you know, ive had concerns for a long team about china. Im concerned about what they are going data, im concerned about their spy network. We do not need to let them get any tight presence thats going give them control over u. S. Consumer data and allow them to expand their spy network. Period, end of sentence that is it. Maria exactly. And question i keep asking is how many employees from tiktok are going to be working with oracle are we going to have another situation where you have insiders, inside oracle sending data back to the ccp, so i dont understand that this is even being discussed. I know that looking at this and youve got representatives from treasury and commerce so well wait to see what it says but you you answer the question exactly what i expected. Real we can senator is there any negotiation going on now for another stimulus bill or is that dead in the quarter it sunt seem like theres real negotiations going on am i right about that . Well the little bit of daylight on this is now that you have 100 house members that are pushing pelosi and youve got a lot of these suburban women that won. And now they are pushing back at her an saying what are you doing . Because we put a great deal on the floor in the senate last week. It would have covered the liability, the schools, the testing, and the ppp u. S. Plus and the democrat said no it aint going to have post office money in there. They were so concerned about the post office. They want the American People to suffer. And to suffer from now to november, i think that is despicable. Maria you it certainly sounds disgraceful senator good to see you this morning thank you very much. Well be watching you Marsha Blackburn this morning u. S. Business is relying on u. S. On imports that apparel hair product and technology goods from Certain Companies in the region after, of course, the news of force labor, another Human Rights Violations in the region where youve got one million locked up in camp and banning things like cotton are going to impact american companies. But theyre being made in this region by those locked up. Your take. Yeah maria. I said several times now, one of the Biggest Challenges were facing right now in the economy is getting the supply chains back in order. To your point, a number of companies that im personally experiences or hearing from it concern over supply chain that recent ceo survey said 45 of the ceos are concerned about supply chain. Why . Because of the issue you just mentioned number two, because of the tariffs. Number three, some of the the reductions in tariff and number will go back on so seeing unundate of request to move from china to other areas whether it was on shore or other country it is that are very favorable towards production, labor, material cost, et cetera whether it is in vietnam or some of the local countries there. So this is a big, big challenge, i think a lot of us went offshore. Not by design but because were trying to compete globally and disadvantage at Corporate Tax we saw that with this administration as a tree help so saw a lot of onshore and see a lot more of that maria as a result of supply chain we see some of the largest industry Automotive Industry still suffering from supply chain availability. Well this is a really good point because the whole movement in the Trump Administration to moving supply chains to america, will we see retaliation . Will we see an impact the Companies Involved nancy from corner tone macro accounts for 100 companies that have already moved their supply chain and yesterday we have acting secretary of Homeland Security said these extraordinary human right violations demanding an extraordinary response. This is modern day slavery whats the answer . You know i think a lot of this maria from my experience to General Electric or home depot chrysler, you know, we had a very deliberate organization that would go over and personally inspect the facility to make sure that we were not involved with child labor or some of the issues over safety and we look for quality. We look for humanitarian requirement. So again, i think corporations, businesses, have to be very diligent before they sign up for that. Or if theyre there today they better go back to recheck all of it but you certainly feel blindsighted i think we all have to be thinking about supply chain we need to short opinion supply chain. Advantage of that is less work and cap less inventory on water and just ability for continue knewty i think the street wall street is going to have to reward companies who have addressed supply chain just like theyre looking at esg maria. Theyve got to look at it either prices are going to go up. Right or going to go down so weve got to look at that as Corporate America how were going address it. Maria all right. Coming up, a programming note join me friday at 8 a. M. Eastern, for our power panel hour. I would see it cowriting it with cody who wrote one of kind of the great coming of age film juno what is better than movie is madonna is on social media doing videos of her working during the pandemic shutdown with deablo on the script and it is interest so that might be better than the flick. All right next up getting behind the wheel of an aspen martin without leaving your home. The automaker unveiling driving simulator to give you a sense what have it is like to rice bob youre a car guy. It will cost you with a 74,000 price tag. What do you think . Yeah. Im a car guy. But you know, i think they advertise that as privilege gamers which i dont fit into that category for 74,000 dollars. Im sure it would be exciting, but i got to believe it is a pretty limited market out there. They should have taken that apple approach on having opening price points so get people behind that wheel of the simulator. Maria yeah. I mean, i think that when youre talking about an aspen martin i frankly dont want to do it in my living room is this going to be a seller . I think for a car you know what i mean daig whn youre a car person and i know you are as well ive heard all of your stories about the beamer. But you know, you want to be on the road right dagen . Bmw did write and replace the automobile by the way. So i have to give them immense amount of credit for stepping up quickly without any real pressure from me on that. But heres the issue, when you buy a High Performance car you need to kind of kind of let her loose. Need to take it to a track. So you cant just go out in your High Performance car and hit, you know, a buck 50 on the interstate because youll go to jail. So this is a way of kind of you get the experience if you own say an martin which i never would but experience of what it would be like to drive it and again keep you out of the and driving recklessly and getting speeding ticket. Driving a buck 50 never gone that fast . Me ofng not. Of course not. [laughter] never. Maria. All right i like to see i like to see you driving on road in your beamer one these days i know people recognize you in that car too. Recognize driving your bmw. Maria talk about president ial election 2020 heating up new polling shedding light on key battleground oxygenate former Vice President joe biden leading President Trump in florida five points morgd to monmouth University Poll a town hall last night touting the economy and pandemic. Joining us Kayleigh Mcenany. Good to have you this morning. Good to join you great town hall last night your take away from president answering questions from voters and George Stephanopoulos. Incredible a very clear vision one that approved very successful in his first term, one where we deregular late lower taxes one where we have law and order in the streetslet not forget under President Trump Violent Crimes started coming down resurging with defund the Police Movement has led to heinous actions, on ambush attempts on Police Officers, and crime in our streets in fact 53 children losing lives since beginning of this year. Maria and it is incredible that you are not hearing denouncing of this activity from the president s critics i think that was a tactic that worked against them but have you seen any impact on this in terms of the election, where people understand this president has been the lawandorder president . Yeah, we have. In fact monmouth poll showed 65 americans are worried about law and order significantly black Americans Care most about this most affected by it we have seen direct correspond lakess you Defunded Police department in l. A. Look money increase in Violent Crime ferguson efficient disgraced jim comey nodes in obama days we have seen this play out before unfortunately, that terrible shooting of two officers in l. A. Thank god by a miracle survived. Let me ask stimulus negotiations where we are House Speaker nancy pelosi told lawmaker they will not go home for november elections without a covid19 package pelosi rejected the bipartisan proposal yesterday would have rerevived Paycheck Protection Program 1200 dollar stimulus checks where are we on this do you think we will get anothers stimulus plan by election day . Because feels like nothing is going on in terms of serious negotiations. Speaker pelosi has been finally unserious homeo whole time went to hair salon not open to general public now trying to play it safe saying members wont leave town on a caller reportedly pelosi got a ton of pushback from members from moderate democrats saying this is unacceptable, we have been chief of staff mark meadows secretary mnuchin on hill offering he appropriations giving more than they asked for funding, for example, she would reject doesnt want to give president a win before election shame on nancy pelosi not helping unemployed americans. There is more to it you history at the white house United Arab Emirates and bahrain normalizeing with israel a significant major shift in middle east to think looking at normalized relations for israel in middle east you had that signing yesterday but nancy pelosi during a cnn interview said that the Peace Agreement Trump Administration has sponsored this month was a distraction from ongoing Coronavirus Crisis said well hopeful they wont before continuing said the he hopefully their beneficial to the regional good for President Trump having distraction. Nancy pelosi is disgrace even other candidate joe biden noted what Historic Deal this was because there is no denying the fact in 29 days you have seen three peace deals in addition to israel bahrain israeli United Arab Emirates United Arab Emirates kosovo, this hasnt happened in a quarter century President Trump did it twice big media said would never happen said we would be in disarray after embassy moved to jerusalem the contrary, the president nominated for about to he nobel peace prizes. Congratulations to him for that that is an incredible situation but to see this actually taking place, because of negotiations is really extraordinary, kayleigh are you expecting other countries to join these others like, for example, oman, to say say that they too want to normalize relations israel what does this mean. We are expecting other Peace Agreements in the near future this is bad news for iran president came in tore up nuclear deal would have permentsdz iran to get Nuclear Weapons as sun set of provision was reached now you have an iran that is no longer has that nuclear deal that is been isolated on are world sustainable because we make Peace Agreements between israel and arab nations i never felt more pressure when you include sanctions this president knows how to stand up to enemies encourage allies to end decades olding conflicts. Did you get pushback from media in any way on this you have been great pushing back on some critics, in your media briefings, what has been the sense, you are getting he go from media on this story . So you know you have done a very historic thing when media ignores it, you had cnn, msnbc cover in part entirely ignored rest of day going about sensational headlines designed to take down this president the media my ignore it American People see what is going on on social media elsewhere no denying history was made here at the white house yesterday. Maria , of course. S we recognize that, kayleigh good to see you this morning thank you so much we will be watching all the developments Kayleigh Mcenany at the white house this morning. Maria welcome back, cost of covid19 wall street journal taking a look at how coronavirus patients are bearing the cost of treatment. The journal finding paying large outofpocket fees despite federal money to assist uninsured hospitals dealing billing patients instead of companies disputing when was for corona. Who is going to pay the bill. Do we have any clarity on the cost of this . No one knows with any are certainty we are in the middle of this catastrophe no one has any certainty what will be the ultimately bill to the Insurance Industry there is a global catastrophe as i said it has no geographic bound or time limit. But best estimate it is going to cost the Insurance Industry on liability and asset side of the Balance Sheet somewhere norths of a hundred billion dollars the largest catastrophe the industry has shouldered in its history. That was a great interview when evan. When policies are were written years ago did not include a pandemic. So youve got lawyers right now arguing, well, Insurance Companies cant pay the bill. This is not for the got to a Government Program you got to have ideas with partnership between business and government Insurance Companies never said would pay for pandemic. Dagen in terms of Health Insurance number one i want to know if health Insurance Companies are going to give refunds to all people basically used no Health Care Services people say who didnt get covid 1 i got a rebate from Auto Insurance company why not Health Insurance if i literally didnt go to a doctor or couldnt go to a doctor for months and months and months, number one, number two in terms of Health Care Costs the the wall street journal in this article, highlights that the biggest at risk group in terms of extra expenses are six million americans who are covered by medicare but dont have supplementary insurance plans i raise this issue for the Trump Campaign or Trump Administration, medicare doesnt have out of pocket spending limits has not suspended 20 cost sharing for covid19 treatment. That is something that could be done with an executive order, suspend that cost sharing, for anybody who has gotten covid in the medicare who doesnt have supplementary insurance because some people getting hit with bills followupbills thousands of dollars people lost jobs this is easy fix for the administration. You huge bills bob, and when you look at the other bills, from interest business, you know Business Interruption, you were in business you dealt with some of this in terms of Business Interruption that is what chubb ceo was talking about Evan Greenberg should not have to pay for Business Interruption it wasnt agreed upon beforehand how do you see it. I think maria, this is going to be contentious a long time Business Interruption, also what the administration is trying to put in place now about liabilities, as employees come back to work, liability for suing the employer is going to be yet another chaotic periods of time lawyers chasing this like they are the current work disruption you just mentioned it is going to be chaotic. Right, and democrats do not want Liability Protection in this stimulus bill by the way, more on that coming up. Here . Nah. Here . Nope. Here. When the middle of nowhere. Is somewhere. Maria welcome back markets up this morning we are waiting on retail sales check oet fighters indicating gain 140 points this morning out of the gate nasdaq up 31, s p up 18, there is anticipation growing ahead of the Federal Reserve conclusion of the twoday meeting that happens 2 00 Interest Rates not expected to change a few minutes away from august retail Sales Numbers joining us stefanie pomboy great to see you welcome back how do you access economic backdrop as we await retail Sales Numbers. Great to see you as well maria i just, you know, i will be interested to see retail, chairman powell this afternoon, because i think the struggling for him right now is the fed has done yeomans work in terms of resuscitateing appetite for risk s p back to where it was prepandemic, same with junk spreads you know youve seen a surge in corporate debt issuance, 70 Investment Grade yearonyear last year wasnt exactly weak they done a tremendous job in reforms of rereas you say at a timeing the risk we have seen weak numbers in terms of total Consumer Spending despite, what was incredibly for lavish, are income transfer payments, associated with cares act so i think the fed is kind of in a little bit of a predicament exhausted tools other than rhetoric guiding Forward Guidance talking about average inflation target. So, but really, the baton passed fiscal policy i expect chair powell will point out no his press conference today. Maria i wonder if we get Forward Guidance are you expecting Forward Guidance or is it priced into market that were not going to hear much. I think i think basically everyone understands fed is staying here for a long, long time many years as Forward Guidance whether they Say Something specific they have already pretty much laid that out on the table rates arent moving higher any time, and many years. Only for a limited time. Maria welcome back, good wednesday morning. Thanks for joining us. Im Maria Bartiromo. Wednesday, september 16, we are awaited breaking news right now on American Consumer, retail sales for august due out any moment economists expecting increase of 1 in the month of owing market higher going into this number, dow industrials right now up 138 points, nasdaq up 35 points, s p 500 right now up 18 points, this august retail sales number likely to conclude obviously, a lot of ecommerce lets get to Jackie Deangelis,. Good morning to you the numbers are under expectations, monthovermonth gain august. 6 expectation was for gain 1 , he ought 7 10 of a percent expecting. 9 numbers are very important they speak to the consumer basically accounts for twothirds of the economy, and so much of retail, fueled by people back out spending impacted by the pandemic. I will give you context reminded you in july that number was up 1. 2 this is roughly half of that back to you. Maria so all right that is good context jackie weve got a market has not moved much on number up 130 points still macro mavens president stefanie pomboy with us this is weakerthanexpected up 6 10 of a percent what does it say about consumer . How do you read this. I think it is keeping with what weve seen on part of the consumer again we had a huge increase in income, due to the cares act in fact, between february and july. So prepandemic, and through july you had a 1. 1 trilliondollar increase in income in other words indices 1. 1 trillion higher in july than they were before pandemic started. Yes, spending was down 700 billion, the up shot was consumers basically socked away 1. 8 trillion dollars in savings, at the same time, they were paying down Credit Card Debt a lot of people received those for lavish Unemployment Benefits used them to pay down Credit Card Debt in several weve seen credit cart debate balances decline by a hundred billion dollars impulse on part of the consumer right now pay o down sent save not spend he reinforced in numbers this is conundrum for chairmen powell and fiscal policymakers the fed has done everything it can do in terms of providing a credit lifeline to the economy getting Financial Markets stabilized we need demand picked up consumers are impulse to hunker down repair Balance Sheets this is the trick right now, do we get another wave of fiscal stimulus, you know, maybe consumers will save that as well. It is same issue maria we have been dealing with for so many years had led me to be so cautious on my for the economy in general, and , of course, profits in particular that consumers ever since Global Financial crisis have really been inclined to boost savings and repair Balance Sheets, and i dont think this pandemic experience has led them to change that inclination one iota. Is this, of course, savings rate has been going up, dow industrials loving some momentum, up still 104 points dagen how do you see it. Dagen as stefanie pointing out that 600 a as we speak expired end of july maybe a little bit of miss in retail sales is directly related to that, also with School Reopenings all over the map, people didnt go out and shop for backtoschool, a lot of children part time even fulltime doing Remote Learning or attending school at home that could also be part of the miss here. But, again, stefanie to reiterate what stephanie sadie repaired balancing sheetsing savings rate skying rocketed they have enough powder dry to get through next several months as we wait for vaccines. I think maria, dagen said it right, you know the first cares act the frustration that built up by being sequestered if you will locked down best way to get rid of that shopping made initial purchases supporting goods athletic events, here is the question if congress does pass this bill, and as you dagen both said a lot is going to savings, to kind of hunker down the thing is extended long, longer than anybody anticipated. What will generate the you are expert in this area. What does retailers what do hef to do to generate demand. I think that is when fed is trying to get at with increase in inflation expectations, you know by changing their inflation target, and giving that for guidance basically fed saying look you guys we are determined to get prices up, you better buy now he what is going to be more expensive tomorrow, and theyve failed miserably to communicate that to consumers in a way that consumers actually believe it feel that sense of urgency but i think that is what they are really trying to accomplish with this tweak of inflation targets hurry up this isnt japan prizes arent lower if you wait another month they are going to be higher you better apply the stuff you want today. Maria make a great point stefanie great to see you this morning come back soon thank you so much stefanie pomboy from from macro mavens. Hunters hunters business deals making headlines facing questions over partnering with foreign entities including china during his fathers time in office there is a new report, he teamed up with a Chinese Military supplier in 2015 to buy u. S. Based auto parts maker, joining me right now investigative journalist Fox News Contributor john solomon great to see you you have broken so much news i want to start with hunter biden thank you. Hunter biden his dealings hp how is it possible hunter biden could go on air force two with his father thenVice President , and joe biden to china, and meet with Chinese Companies and come back get a one and a half billion dollars infusion of capital from Chinese Company working with bank of china. That is more he goes out applies this company hen i goes in michigan facilities transfer a why is that significant avec makes most military aircraft for pla Peoples Liberation army five times not once not twice but five times sanctioned by United States for bad behavior before hunter biden transferred ownership in a sale to avec one year before the sale Obama Administration put one of the subsidiaries on a warning list engaging in more bad behavior. Despite that he Obamabiden Administration approved this hunter biden, another great business deal on scheme of fathers jet imagine if donald trump, jr. , had done same thing on headlines of every american paper for seven months straight. Maria incredible to me that he koesht america has not figured out right now the threat of that China Communist Party threat that exists working with ccp, Corporate America seems to want to sell widgets to a billion people not recognizing that these companies that china is using to make acquisition are tied to the Chinese Military they already have, a stronger military navy than the United States, what is your take in terms of how this happened . Youve got Vice President here taking trips relations with China Communist Party cassessmentp acquiring Important Companies do give data to work with its military who knows that that military will be working against the United States . So true, in fact, the very company we are talking about heniges now chinese have same that we have in 2015 this went through joe biden was saying china is not a threat expansion of china good for america the committee on Foreign Investment United States known as cfius take lead from guys in charge rubberstamped this allowed it to go fast forward to 2020, three months ago pentagon released list of most o dangerous Chinese Companies with military chinese pla in china, number one on list, so Trump Administration starting to highlight companies, but in era of he obamabiden clinton china got a pass how so many transactions transpired. Unbelievable i talk about china the delete in my moou book the cost, trump china and american revival you have been talking about foreign business dealings with biden family a long time weve got a new report out saying former Ukrainian Government official become being a fact witness in the investigation of hunter biden, is being dispare arjd on capitol hill this was a government a contactor ob administration tell us about that report. Remarkable senator wyden peters, trying to sanction ron johnson Chairman Senate Homeland Committee for having interviewed him pretending a russian threat the Obama Administration used him as a primary liaison to ukraine government in october white house in u. S. Embassy if kyiv asked for advice having coffee with aides close to joe biden before democrats were ginz this guy using on a daley basis left that out of the narrative i saw hundreds of pages of state department documents how important to Obama Administration run a johnson i suspect the story will die quickly once people see the truth. Lets talk john you durham for a moment interesting comments from haspel saying the Justice Department investigation into russia probe would be quote a nightmare for the cia, this is according to Bob Woodwards book we know that john brennan was leading the cia at the time of all the investigations o going on into Trump Campaign people.
