So in 29 days you have President Trump securing two historic peace deals, a very big accomplishment, not to mention Serbia Kosovo economic ties as well. This is deserving of the nobel peace prize. They felt like they were americans first, not democrats or republicans. We came together. And thats the kind of unity the president calls for today. He gave a beautiful speech and talked about a marine who walked, who went to the rubble, who was told to evacuate the scene but dug and dug until he was able to rescue two Law Enforcement officers, and he didnt even tell his five children that story, and it took many years before we learned about his heroism. Thats the american story. Elizabeth and the president also awarded, you know, a major honor to the Major Sergeant general thomas payne. He, patrick payne, he rescue around 75 hostages from almost getting killed by isis. Can you talk about that . Liz, were having some audio issues there. What was the first part . Elizabeth okay. So what happened is Army Sergeant major Thomas Patrick payne got aa warded the medal of honor. Yes. It was incredible to watch. I was at that ceremony, got to see his little son and his beautiful wife. And this Army Sergeant, what he did was remarkable. Thomas payne, 75 hostages, he rescued. It was a burning building, and he went back multiple times. Again, told to evacuate but didnt until every hostage was out, and his team managed to rescue those 75 hostages, culled 20 isis killed 20 isis enemies. It was beautiful to watch with his 6yearold son. Elizabeth look at these First Responders, a group of brooklyn fdny tour fighters, they chased out a guy i who sucker punched an elderly woman. Because they had destroyed any information favorable to trump and harmful the them . [laughter] this is either a coverup or it was criminal incompetence. 31 cell phones accidentally wiped clean . The senior officials of the Mueller Investigation, many of whom were senior officials of the fbi . They just by contrast, lets just tell you about what happened to the Trump Officials during the campaign, during the transition, what happened to our cell phones . They were seizeed. They were seized. All of the data was in the hands of the mueller investigators. We couldnt have access to our own data. We were cherrypucked out whatever they wanted to show us. So on one hand theres one set of laws for the trump people, and it seems like theres a very different set of laws for the people on the Mueller Investigation or who were investigating with the russia hoax. So, you know, look, lets just come clean. The one thing weve learned though because, liz,s this is very similar to remember Hillary Clintons lost emails, accidentally deleted . They were going, they were probing Hillary Clinton for not keeping government records, government emails. Finish these are government phones now wiped clean. Thats the iron nebraska here. Irony here, the unfortunate irony. Andrew weissmann, muellers deputy, accidentallingly wiped two out of three phones. James quarrels, his phone was riped. Rush atkinson, lisa page, former fbi lawyer are, she was caught exchanging antitrump Text Messages with agent peter strzok, her phone had been sent back to Factory Settings. It was wiped before it was handed over to the doj Inspector General. Peter strzoks phone appears to have no substantive texts. Is so these are government officials accidentally wiping their phones when theyre nailing regular american citizens for doing the same. Right. Its just outrageous, and it really does destroy the credibility, i think, of the fbi and the Justice Department. There are some very good people there, but what were seeing is people who abused their positions of power not once with Hillary Clinton, not twice with the russia hoax, but three times with the Mueller Investigation. They made up the false statements. They made up the original allegations to investigate him, and they made up the false statements to prosecute him. Well, this guy cant stop lying, i guess, with his affairs and all of the conduct that got him fired, he is doubling down on this. So, liz, the words that he used in that text that he now claims he remembers but regreats are the exact same words that Glenn Simpson from fusion gps used, you know, a few months earlier. Do we all believe thats a giant coincidence . I dont believe it, and its not ans lated one either. There are dozens or hundreds of such Text Messages between him and lisa page and others, some of which are now destroyed, apparently. But in reality what you see is a pattern. In the same breath, hes saying you know, we may get to that these people were all overworked, they were working around the clock. Seems like they were pretty much immersed in getting donald trump, so nothing that this guy said during that time frame could be considered private or off the cuff, it was all part of the job. R. P. Es meant for wiretaps meant for the trump team. All the mistakes the finishing bu made, they made it because they were overworked. Right. Well, hes claiming that there were a couple of triyall mistakes, and they were inexcusing bl, but they were because of overwork. The Inspector General identified at least 17 errors, serious errors or, present additional errors, errors that, you know, basically misled the court in such a way that a citizens civil rights were repeatedly violated. Thats a very serious matter. What i look at as a civil lawyer in private practice, if i misrepresent things to the count, i get punnerred. People get sanctioned, suspended from practice. No such consequences are applying the these people, most of them. And so the repeated lying is very concerning, and when you look at his media interviews, nobodys putting them in context. In fact, there are numerous Text Messages that talk about trying to sidle up to a judge on the fisa court and have a dinner party and sort of do corrupt activities like that outside the process. This was not isolated. They had a lot of time on their hands to plan ways they could corrupt justice. Elizabeth whoa. I react because in my interviews with the fbi, officials, you know, around my sources, they keep saying peter strzok did pollute the process. Theyre really outraged apt husband activities, and the fisa wiretaps are reallyiful. They not really powerful. Concerns are growing that biden makes mistakes when hes off the teleprompter and he speaks extemporaneously. Theres accusation that biden is accused of using teleprompter es and scripts for reporters questions. He cant do that in the debates. I want you to listen to biden stumble when hes asked about husband tax hikes. He wants 4 trillion in new taxes, and he gave a stunning answer slamming his own Democratic Party saying in 2016 the democrats took for granted the muddle class and blue collar workers. Lets listen. If you elect me, your taxes are going to be raised, not cut. Youre somebody who likes to talk about the working class, the middle class. Why do you think so many of these voters turned against the Democratic Party in 2016 . Well, look, i think, number one, a lot of it was taken for granted. My reaction is this is someone who is clearly being fed talking points, and hes trying to keep track of what he believes in and what he doesnt, because if youll notice along this campaign trail that hasnt been clear. And what people are noticing is that President Trump does what he says, he keeps promises, and hes up there every day in front of a podium taking tough questions from people that are trying to trap him in answers because he is knows what he stands for, and hes on the right side of these policies. Joe biden has flipflopped so much, he doesnt know what his policies are from daytoday, and when he is allowed out of the becausement by his handlers, hes having a hard time keeping track of what he believeses in and what his administration will back, and thats why more and more people are turning towards the Trump Campaign and understanding why donald trump is the right leer for this country leader for this country in this moment. And its violence thats very real, and they dont care about america, they dont care about our laws, they dont care about our border. And what is more surprising, liz, is that we still have politicians running campaigns on defunding Law Enforcement, running campaigns on opening the border and defunding, you know, groups like i. C. E. That is whats insane. Theyre either not paying attention to whats going on, or theyre living in some farout lala land. But at the end of the day, were seeing an increase, and these are things that are going to affect american citizens, affect american lives and our way of life. And we need to start getting serious about it.
