New york city has already topped a thousand shootings this year, 29 more shootings over this weekend. A st. Louis Police Officer shot and killed in the line of duty by a man barricaded inside a house. The gunman taken into custody sunday morning after after a nearly 12hour standoff. The gunman shot another Police Officer in the leg, the officer recovering. In baltimore a sickening assault caught on camera. Local reports say a white and black man got into an argument before the white man was hit in the back of the head with two bricks. Watch this, if you can. Oh [laughter] no [laughter] oh, my god lou two investigations into other attacks, separate attacks by leftwing mobs in this country. All of those attacks against supporters of President Trump. Los Angeles Police investigating reports of shots fired at a protrump rally yesterday. Portland Police Still Investigating saturdays deadly shooting of a trump supporter. Police have not officially identified the portland victim, but social media and local reports say the man killed is aaron danielson, a reported member of the conservative group patriot prayer. The suspected gunman is reportedly a man arrested in july according to police for carrying a loaded gun at a demonstration. He was also posted online saying that he is 100 antifa all the way. Oregons radical dem Governor Kate Brown has now authorized state police to return to portland after 94 straight nights of violence and of murder. Governor brown and portlands antifa enabling leftwing radical mayor ted wheeler, however, are both accusing President Trump of inciting tensions there. The president responded today talking with fox news laura ingraham. One of your supporters is murdered in portland by, it looks like, a suspected antifa individual, and then on sunday wheeler comes out and biden and essentially tries to blameshift to you for the violence there. Your reaction. Well, these are terrible and very inwe end tent people. Ive offered to send in the national guard, ive offered to send in anybody they want. I could put that out in 45 minutes, and it would stop. And i think the people of portland and the people of oregon i know its a liberal state, considered liberal theyre tired of it. Theyre tired of having, of living with this curse. Lou you would think they would be, but no signs of it yet. Similar leftwing violence in kenosha, wisconsin, has calmed down a bit of late, thanks to President Trumps decision to send in the national forward and federal Agents National guard and federal agents. Activists are now threatening retaliation murders for the death of jacob blake. Its past for us to stand. Its not past for us to act when somebody else is taking whats ours, is and whats ours is our children, our women and our families. If you kill one of ours, its time for us to kill one of yours. I know everybody dont want to that, but, damn why are we the ones got to keep burying ours . Lou President Trump goes to kenosha, wisconsin, tomorrow, despite the radical dems begging him not to come. Wisconsins radical dem governor tony evers, who has absolutely confounded the state with his refusal to take care of the kenosha, wisconsin, radical terrorism, in point of fact, claims the president s trip will cause divisiveness. But President Trump today says otherwise. Heres the president again with laura ingraham. The governor says he doesnt want you to come. Why is it important for you to be seen by the people of wisconsin now . Because i am a tremendous fan of Law Enforcement, and i want to thank the Law Enforcement. Theyve done a good job. And when the governor says that i shouldnt come or he prefer that i not come, im the one that called him and said, tony, youve got to bring out the national guard. Well, i dont really want to do it. China joe biden today, well, he was doing his best to get out of the basement and blame President Trump for something, saying hes to blame for leftwing violence and the rioting in democratrun states and cities, stepping out from the comfort of that basement biden told a small crowd in pittsburgh people wont be safe in Donald Trumps america. After months of keeping quiet about riots across the country, biden now says are you ready . He condemned such violence finally. Biden failed to call any of the groups including black lives matter and aunt that. Are you surprised antifa. Well, breaking developments today in the case of general Michael Flynn. The d. C. Court of appeals ruled today 82 that judge Emmet Sullivan does not have to dismiss the case against flynn the, overturning the previous decision of a threejudge panel in the same circuit that ordered sullivan to dismiss the case as requested by the Justice Department. Todays ruling from the court said sullivan was within his right to appoint a third party to argue a case against dismissing the case even though both the Justice Department and general flynn agreed to drop the matter. Todays decision is a continuation, perhaps an escalation of the radical dem partnership with the deep state to subvert, first, the campaign and presidency of donald trump and, apparently, the constitution while theyre at it. Beginning in the summer of 2016, the fbi started spying on the Trump Campaign and general flynn. And they did so in an effort to frame him. Straight up, in your face frameup. In january 2017 the Intelligence Community reported russia worked to elect the president. Within weeks the Justice Department and fbi worked to entrap general flynn. The Obama White House was aware of the entire situation. Robert mueller was appointed in may of 2017 to investigate russian collusion. There was no collusion. That resulted in a report that exonerated and vindicated President Trump in april of 2019 when the radical dems failed on collusion in that sham investigation and then special counsel, they tried a sham impeachment which again resulted in no evidence and a failed effort, again, as they tried to remove the president. I can only imagine when you got that ruling by this court, but what your face must have look looked like, sidney. I think most americans are furious at what they now see as judicial corruption. This is outrageous. Your thoughts. Well, they certainly are getting an education of what has become of our federal judiciary, lou. Call this Michael Flynn exception to the rule of law. The courts made it up for the majority decision. The defense by judges route and henderson are excellent, i would commend those to everyones reading as they actually rely on the law. But, yeah, its quite remarkabling. Lou so what happens now . It sounds as though the Appellate Court just said to the District Court judge, you know, its okay, why dont you play prosecutor here and carry out a case the Justice Department to see whether or not for the first time as far as we know the Justice Department doesnt have the right to dismiss a case, and general flynn has, by the way, no constitutional standing of any kind and the hell with the man because he just served the country honorably and with great distinction and valor. And so just try to persecute him as long as you possibly can, four years now in the effort. Thats the essential determination of the court. Its hard to read it any other way. Its nothing short of appalling, and these are important constitutional issues at stake here not just for Michael Flynn, but for the country as a whole and for the d. Of justice and how the department of justices visavis the federal court. So i would not say this is the end of it. I think there is going to be more litigation to come, unfortunately, but well keep going until the court gets it right. Lou is there before i ask some of the procedural questions here, is there any reason why we should expect anything other than Emmet Sullivan to continue his outrage against general flynn and persistentness . No, absolutely not. Hes made very clear his hatred of general flynn, and he relied on a Washington Post oped by the man he chose to step in and pile on against general flynn in the process of making these rulings. And the court, the court of appeals just rubber stamps whatever he wants to do. Lou is there any point at which the the chief justice of the United States is so embarrassed and so is ashamed of what has become of the federal judiciary and its obvious political corruption that without prompting from any quarter he would reach down to the Appellate Court and to this District Court judge and say do what is right and end this now . I wish he would, but i dont know that hell do that without a petition for writ of certiorari. But that a may be the direction we have to go in next. Were considering several alternatives right now. And, unfortunately, the president wants us to help with more money for kids and jobs, and we can put over another trillion dollars into the economy quickly. As ive said before, if thats not enough and the speaker thinks we needed to do more, we could at least come back and do more. With we are having a great economic comeback as weve reopened the economy. Were getting a lot of jobs back, but the president is not done with his work until we get everybody back to work. Lou without question. And as hes demonstrated once already in his first term. Lets go back to pelosi because this looks like a suicide pact among schumer and pelosi and the radical dems. Theyre facing all sorts of blowback if their effective empowerment of antifa, black lives matter and the others who are carrying out such violence across democratrun cities in this country. How is there any way in which the administration can be moved forward with those folks in control, particularly schumer and pelosi . Well, lou, were going to keep trying because its too important for the American People. Mark meadows and i have been hosting daily calls with Mitch Mcconnell and the republicans in the senate, and weve been keeping ken mccarthy and his team up Kevin Mccarthy and his team uptodate. Hopefully, mitch will introduce legislation next week that kids, jobs, Liability Protection for Small Businesses. As you know, theres still too many Small Businesses that have been hurt by this. Has nothing to do with their own issue. Parts of the economy have opened very quickly, parts of the economy still suffer. Lou they are, and at the same time were seeing a remarkable recovery and rebound. There are great pockets of deep, deep economic pain. But overall were seeing some astounding resilience in this economy. The federal reserve, maybe you can help me with the federal reserve. Jerome powell saying he has discovered the phillips curve is no longer in effect, as best as i could understand his policy decision. Give us your reaction to what he has decided which is to have 2 targets that really dont mean much anymore to the fed. Well, let me just, first, say i think chairman powell and the entire fed has done an extraordinary job in this crisis, the covid issues. In really working with treasure true, with we stood up an i enormous amount of emergency facilities, part of the reason why we have the economy reopening as we do. Lou right. I think the feds been trying to get inflation up for a long period of time, there hasnt been much. I think what theyre saying makes common sense, that if you want to average 2 , therell be times when you run higher and times when you run lower. Lou yeah. I thought it made a lot of sense to basically do what the president had said. Why dont you look at the markets, make a determination and dont be reflexive and anticipatory in judgments that are almost wrong when you put the fed in charge of assess eking the economy. I dont know many times that theyve been correct, particularly first time, efforts by first time fed chairmen. I know mr. Powells a friend of yours, and i have have the greatest respect for both of you, but it is an odd fed that weve got right now. Sort of this rediscovering economic reality. Lets turn to, if we may, the virus and the administrations response to it. Out comes the cdc saying that 6 of the deaths that have been reported amongst specifically 161,000, only 6 of them were solely attributable to covid19. I mean,s what is going on with our Public Health agencies . This is becoming alarming, the degree to which were getting new information and different takes on what has actually been going on here now for six months. Well, lou, as you said, thats a very important statistic that they just put out. And as we have been saying all along, for most people this is not a lifethreatening situation, its really just a lifethreatening situation for people who are at high risk with other issues. But weve made enormous progress, and i think youre going to see enormous progress on vaccines quickly, between now and the end of the year. Last week the president made a major announcement with 150 million new point of care tests so they can be contribute distributed to every school in the country so schools can get open safely. This is really about making sure our kids can be at school and our Small Businesses can get back to work. Lou and hopefully, our Public Health agencies can get the facts straight at least in the reporting. Its got to be frustrating. Is the president frustrated . Are you us from treated by that kind of frustrated by that kind of revelation . You know, lou, the president s never frustrated. Its also tough to beat the first step act, most black men about 2,000 of them have been released. Its tough to beat the pardoning of jack johnson, the first black heavyweight champion. President trump is spending more money on historically black colleges, on socalled enterprise zones, doing something about illegal immigration on the grounds that they pose threats toss jobs, and he supports choice in school which polls show the majority of black and brown urban parents recognize theyre not by a school thats not a marley good one particularly good one. Donald trump is on the side of the majority of black and brown parents in the inner city and not on the side of white parents who wouldnt president their put their kid in an Inner City School on a bet. Hes going to do substantially better with the black voters than he did in 2016. Lou and Public Education is so critical. It is the great equalizer in our society no matter what institution you choose. It is just so critical to prosperity and to progress. Its just, its just so critical. Its infuriating to me to watch what these teachers unions are doing, larry. Theyre not being helpful right now at all. Adamantly to opposing, for political purposes its pretty clear, opening, reopening schools and getting kids back. Is and weve got so many hundreds of thousands of kids who cant afford to lose a year and, in point of fact, all of the advantages that would be gained by reopening these schools. Your thoughts. Well, absolutely. And look at the quality of these Public Schools. I just saw a study about philadelphia public schoolteachers, Something Like 44 of them have their own schoolaged can kids in private schools as posed to about 10 of the average americans. Same thing with chicago, a substantial number of these Chicago Public schoolteachers with schoolaged kids put their own kids in private school. Now, what does that tell you . The people that know the best about these Public Schools are not putting their own kids in it, but they want to put your kids in it. Its outrageous. Lou you know what i love . Many things about you, larry, its your ability to just, with an encyclo periodic mind, roll out those statistics. A lot of people google, i have to tell you, i call elder at all times of night. [laughter] i eller, i dont google elder, i dont want google. I want to take up the president s choice that hes made to go to kenosha and get your reaction and your thoughts on his going to kenosha to meet with the folks there. Well, if he didnt go, of course, hed be called racially insensitive for not caring about the alleged issue of Police Brutality against black people. The man simply cant win. What i find fascinating about all of this stuff were talking about, lou, is that sports is about, the is about numbers, its about stats, data. You cannot be an athlete or a coach unless you have a good understanding about how to use statses and data. But when it comes to this issue about the allegation that the police are killing blacks just because theyre black, up armed black men just because theyre unarmed, there is no data that supports that contingent. If anything, the Study Suggests the opposite, theyre more reluctant to pull the trigger on a black suspect than a white suspect. Get someone like biden in there, he thinks things are going to be ten time it is worse than they are today. Hes going to say everythings bad because of trump. Thats a hard sale. Lou michael, you just heard the former Vice President lost. He refused to take questions. Is this really going to work for china joe biden . I dont think so, lou. I think that its a very hard sell to blame the violence in this country on the president. When these are all run by democratic mayors and when the president has offered help and been rejected. So its hard to blame it on the president. But i think what biden tried to do also was to link it to the coronavirus, to link are it to link it to the fight for Racial Justice and say, see . This is america under donald trump. I could do better. I think its, it wouldnt be such a bad argument if he didnt, i think, go too far in trying to blame this violence on the president. I mean, i think he con chemmed the violence condemned the violence today in the strongest terms, but then to blame it on the president , its not logical. Lou yeah. It doesnt add up. Lou well, so much of what he says doesnt, ed. I mean, this is a man in some considerable, it seems, confusion. Can he persist with this, and how long will it be before anyone calls him on not taking questions from the media . Well, i think thatll come very quick. First of all, i think they were so overconfident that it was going to be easy for them, i think the president came back with his Big Convention and went after the constituencies that they needed. [audio difficulty] i think theyre going full bore. Its going to be a long, hard campaign. Lou and, michael, the polling reflects the common sense understanding of reality, and that is that africanamericans are not interested in Defunding Police by an 80 margin. The latest gallup poll, they want more police; not fewer. More safety; not less. How can the democrat make any headway toward this, in this election with that kind of campaign against america, against safety, against everything rational . Well, i think its impossible, which is why biden, a, had to get out of the basement and, b, why he went to pittsburgh, a swing state, a city in a swing state, to make this claim today. And, you know, another thing he did in pittsburgh was very interesting, lou. He flipflopped his position on fracking. Pennsylvania has benefitedded enormously from the fracking revolution lou right. And biden in numerous debates said he was opposed to it, weve got to end fossil fuels. Today he said just let me be clear, im for fracking. Well, that wasnt clarification, that was a flipflop. Lou a flipflop. He also flipflopped on Law Enforcement, he said the president [laughter] wanted to Defund Police rather than him. The obvious, the inverse is true. Gentlemen, thank you. The president is walking into the briefing room. Lets join him. We have the best stock market, dow in 36 years . Thats very impressive. So people are very happy with their 401 k s and with the stocks that they have. Thats a tremendous achievement. Best in 36 years. Let me begin with a brief update on the china virus. Over the last month, our new cases in the United States have declined by 38 . Last week we announced a breakthrough in testing that will allow us to have over 150 million rapid point of care tests. These tests return the results in less than 15 minutes. And many will be deployed to nursing homes. Weve been focusing, were focusing very strongly on nursing homes, assisted living facilities and other locations that serve high risk populations. So were going to have the 15minute less tests, and we will have 150 million rapid point of care tests. Thats something. This evening i am pleased to announce that astrazeneca vaccine has reached phase three clinical trials, so thats joining another group of vaccines that are very close to the end and, hopefully, approval. In the United States, were doing things that nobody thought would have been even possible. This is a process that would have taken, in some cases, years. We did it in a matter of months. Thanks to the efforts of operation warp speed, we remain on track to deliver a vaccine very rapidly, in record time. I also want to provide an update on leftwing Political Violence that were seeing in democratrun cities. Under my administration federal Law Enforcement is working with state and local authorities all over the country to comb through hours of video, track down rioters, looters and arsonists and bring them to justice. Weve just come up with a report that weve arrested a large number of people. Its over 200, and youll be hearing about that. But theyre been arrested in various cities throughout the United States. Were doing it very low key, but were trying to help cities. They are in all cases democrat run, but were going were doing the best we can to help them without really much of a consent. As an example, we could solve the portland problem in approximately one hour, but the mayor refuses perhaps for political reasons. I dont know why its good for him to have a city thats falling apart and under siege now for 94 days. But really its been under siege for years if you know portland. So to the mayor, i say whenever youre ready, let us know. Well solve your problem of violence, well solve of your problem of crime. Well arrest those criminals very rapidly, and youll be able to have some nice evenings in the portland. The department of Homeland Security and the department of justice are announcing a joint Operations Center to television the violent investigate the violent leftwing unrest. The federal government has already taken care of and arrested 100 rioters. Just in that one city. The wave of violence and destruction that weve seen in recent weeks and months has occurred in citieses exclusively controlled and dominated by the biden, joe biden party. If you take a look at the top ten in the country, theyre democrats. Its democratrun cities, and its a shame, and it it can be solved so easy. It can be solved very easily. The violence is fueled by dangerous rerhetoric from farleft politicians that demonize our nation and demonize ours police. We have to allow our police to do what theyre very good at doing. Weve taken that power away. Theyre afraid to lose their pension, their job, their everything. Theyre afraid to be destroyed. Finish you saw this when leftwing extremists attack lawabiding citizens attending the Republican National convention at the white house including senator rand paul and his wonderful wife kelly. What they went through, butre people went through it too. And that was done very systematically. That was done on purpose. They knew we were having the convention, and they wanted to do everything they could to disrupt it. And the good news is the public is very wise to it. They see whats happening, and theyre wise to it. And i think they are probably acting accordingly. Leftwing riot ors are repeating the same false narrative about network that you hear about you hear this from people what theyre saying, how theyre saying it, the violence, its terrible. And, again, its democrat politicians. I dont know that theyre spurring it on or theyre afraid to stop it. But in any vent, were there to help, to get things urn control. What they did on thursday night at the white house just outside of the white house to people that came from all over the world is a disgrace. Its a disgrace. And, frankly, the mayor, democrat mayor, mayor bowser, should have done a better job. He did a very poor job. But at the same time, we had the police, they were very brave. I guess it started out with two, and they took a beating. They really took some heavy hits. One went down but got right up. And two others joined them, and they were able to get rand and kelly through. But there was a terrible, terrible thing to witness. But other people went through sum not to the extent in terms of taping, but from what i herald as bad or worse. They share bidens same talking points and his same agenda for our nation. And even his strange speech today that he made in pittsburgh, he didnt mention the fact, and he didnt mention the far left. He didnt mention the far left or, from what i saw, i dont believe he mentioned the word antifa. Antifas a criminal organization, and he didnt mention antifa thugs. But mostly seemed to blame the police and Law Enforcement. He went on point after point after point, he even talked about those on the right, but he didnt talk about those on the left, and those on the left are the problem and antifas the problem. The rioters and joe biden have a side. Theyre both on the side of the rad cl left, and that is so obvious radical left. And that is so obvious. Until that neutralizes, youre never going to have safe areas in those democratrun areas. For months joe biden has given moral aid and comfort to the vandals repeating the monstrous high es that these were peaceful protests. Theyre not peaceful protests. Thats anarchy. Thats you with look at the agitators, you look at the looters, you look at the rioters, thats not a peaceful protest. They keep using the term, its so nice, peaceful protest. And behind the reporter the cities are burning. We could solve it very quickly if they asked asked us to come in like we did in minneapolis and like we just did in wisconsin, where ill be going tomorrow. And at least the governor asked me, if i could, i said youve got to get the national guard, and he finally agreed to even a small number. But they were able to take care of things, and that was about five days ago, six days ago, and ever since its been very good. Thirteen members of bidens Campaign Staff donated to bail and rioters, getting them out of jail, looters, they got them out of jail. And his running mate, kamala harris, urged their supporters to do the same thing. Its outrageous that theyre now seeking to shift the blame for the mayhem, and they really want to put it on the backs of the police. I see it. The police, theres just a war on Law Enforcement in this country. And without Law Enforcement, we wouldnt have a country. We have talented people. Theyre not allowed to do their job. If you give the radical left power, what youre seeing in the democratrun cities will be brought to every city in this country. If they have that power, every city in this country could be potentially another portland or another chicago where theyve had such problems. To defeat that, we must jail lawbreakers, we must defeat their hateful ideology about this country, about america. We must teach our children that americas an exceptional, free and just nation worth defending, preserving and protecting. And thats what we want to do. They want to destroy our country. Theyre going to destroy our suburbs, but i think ive got a long way from allowing that to happen. The suburbs are protected especially with the rule changes that i made. I took them out of the obama administration. They were going to be made much worse. What were witnessing today is a result of leftwing indoctrination in our nations schools and universities. Many Young Americans have been fed lies about america being a wicked nation plagued by racism. Indeed, joe biden and his party spent their swire convention interentire convention while refusing to say one word about the violence. They didnt even discuss Law Enforcement, the police. Those words werent mentioned. Two words that were taken out were the words under god. Underred god. Two very important words in the pledge of allegiance in their caucus. I guess they did it twice. They took it out of their pledge allegiance. I heard it the one time, and i said, thats strange. Thats a big thing. I figured they maybe made a mistake, something happened. No, they didnt make a mistake. Then they did it later on. So they took, essentially, took the word god out of the pledge of allegiance. Were not taking the word god out of anything. Were not taking it out of our pledge of allegiance, and were not taking the great word god out of anything. At our convention we highlighted Law Enforcement heroes and repeatedly emphasized that violence has no place in american political discourse. The lefts war on police, faith and history and American Values is tearing our country apart, which is what they want. They think its good, but theyre unable to control this radical left, crazy moment. But we can control it very quickly. Very, very quickly, indeed. The only path to unity is to rebuild a shared National Identity focused on common American Values and virtues of which we have plenty. This includes restoring Patriotic Education in our nations schools where where theyre trying to change everything that weve learned. What weve learned, informs in fact, what. Change it for whatever reason. Cancel culture, whatever you want to call it. At the same time we must strictly and fully enforce our law and have no tolerance for anarchy and no tolerance, zero for violence and anyone who breaks the law should be arrested, prosecuted and punished. This should include targeting Law Enforcementers to focus on antifa, leftwing domestic terror organization. The mission of antifa is to spread terror in the u. S. Population with the goal of getting americans to give up to their agendath is how terrorist organizations always operated. Biden wont say the name antifa. I dont believe he said it today. He made a speech and he didnt mention that. He mentioned others and didnt mention antifa. He mentioned Law Enforcement and mentioned the police and but he didnt mention antifa. I wonder why. And if he cannot name the problem there is no way that he will solve the problem. You dont name it, you dont solve it. In fact biden would give antifa exactly what it wants, the far left policy agenda it is asking for and if that happened we dont have much of a country left. If you give violent extremist what is they want, the violence doesnt go away. They gain new power to spread the terror nationwide. Most of our nation is extremely safe by the way. You know only see the bad, see portland, chicago, what happened in new york, just in a very short period of time, it is horrible what happened to new york. I love new york. I come from new york and when i see four years ago i left. I could see it was problems under this mayor. He is a terrible mayor. One of the worst. I cant say the worst. Ive witnessed portland. Hard to top him but he certainly one of the worst and when i look what is happening in new york and i hook what is happening in the city and so quickly. It happened so quickly. Its a shame.
