Getting a little tiny speedbump as we headed to the final hours of trade, we are seeing a tiny bit of profittaking, nasdaq down 18 points but this is after the index with names to an alltime intraday high, maybe charles will be right if they get back up there. The dow and s p 500 continuing to trail along for global stimulus efforts, the dow at 281 but with a few days left on the clock, topper Administration Players are running a full court press in the halls of congress to follow in the footsteps of the European Union which reached in a historic covid stimulus to overnight. As we say on the countdown theres always trades to be made. The top stimulus stocks the floor show says can juice up your portfolio. Top redhanded, just hours ago the Justice Department making official, two Young Chinese hackers now formally accused of covid espionage. Attempting to steal research from the u. S. Biotech that are trying to rush to develop a vaccine. We have a fox business exclusive with the ceo biotech geophysics, how he is keeping it safe while continuing the push to get federal money and approval. And can you guess, i want you to guess here what oprah, jayz, Howard Schultz and Natalie Portland all have in common. They have all committed investment money to the same company, the fab four joining forces in a 200 million Minority Stake in oakley, coming up ceo Tony Peterson on his new start powered investors and milking the plantbased movement for all its worth. Plus she shed demand on fire, the company way ahead of the tiny hole home game, major retail and scandal and charlie breaks it on stimulus and where we stand right now. Were less than an hour to the closing bell, lets start the closing bell. Liz breaking news, two nominees to the Federal Reserve board of governors has cleared an important hurdle, the Senate Banking committee has approved a controversial nomination of judy shelton. She has come under fire for her old standard and questions regarding Federal Reserve political independence. The other nominee, chris waller joined shelton for a confirmation vote. We are watching on more. Check the data 285 points from success to scandal we kick off the tops with the retailers, no more guessing as why closing retailer guest, look at the stock up 17 and three quarters of 8 , investors just found out that ceo carlos snatched up by 100,000 share group last week, investors believe when the ceo commits his own money good things must be ahead for the company. We sell see. Scandal not hurting the stock of coach parent, that is a foreign half after ceo abruptly redesigned after an outside law firm found that the former Goldman Sachs banker had ten years ago posed as a photographer to lure a female model into an alleged relationship. Cocacola, lets flip it over, lets see what its doing at this hour, a bullish view of the future despite secondquarter revenue dropping 28 , cocacola is up to and a quarter percent but that drop in revenue, thats the biggest plunge in three decades, coke is predicting it will consume more of its products as quarantines measures and ease. The ebay sale of the classified ads norwegian for cash and stock seems to left investors disappointed, ebay down three and a quarter percent. Speculation that the unit would bring in as much as 9 billion in cash instead ebay is transferring the business for 2. 5 billion in cash and 540 million into shares. The capitol hill were treasury secretary Steven Mnuchin has been making the rounds all day long with lawmakers and chatting up a bit to work up a cares act 4. 0. The fourth installment, the clock is relentlessly taken down because we keep using the day july 31 even though july 31 is an indy on paper, 25 million unemployed americans will lose the extra 600 per week of federal unappointed benefits. This friday, it ends this friday. I lawmakers frantically wrap up their efforts here across the pond the European Unions with historic deals passed in 857 stimulus plan to push up the euro to its highest level against the u. S. Dollar and more than four months. With the dollar circulating around about 14 versus the euro, they save fair value could actually be as high as 1. 22. That means weaker dollar stronger euro. As the globe ramps up on their stimulus, we begin our force are traitors to find out which stocks will stimulate your portfolio. Tim is Timothy Anderson and phil flynn. Are there stocks that you know of that could really benefit if we get 4. 0 stimulus . Im a little bit of compliance as youre getting into specific stocks but i would like to talk about sectors where it looks like the big doe mega Institutional Investors have been rotating since beginning of the month, its also the beginning of the second half of the year for their performance numbers. That would primarily be the industrial sector in the material sector. And we kinda know industrials and materials are chemicals. And thanks to going to making other things. Those were two of the bestperforming sectors of the s p 500 last week and if you add to that, energy up 5 today with oil trading over 42, not to get into phils territory but those are three real serious cyclical sectors of the market that investors might be looking to to take market leadership role if the nasdaq mega cap stocks that have been driving the big rally are going to run out of steam a little bit. Liz as we look we have a few more days before friday and if they dont get their act together, the 600 extra for 25 30000000 americans, many watching right now goes away per week. What i start to worry about is loan defaults, all you have to do is look at the early Earnings Report of the big bank names, we can put them up and you can see between firstquarter and secondquarter how much money they put aside as dry powder for loan loss reserves. Our contributor put this together and look at secondquarter 10 billion for j. P. Morgan compared to 8 million, you can see the rest of them here. Is there something you want to avoid as well as investing. I think the banks put the money away and everybody is saying who cares how much money you make. You do incredible, you look at the trading revenue the last couple months, i dont think anybody wants to hold any bad days for the banks right now. If you raise a larger concern for the economy if we dont get the bill passed and is congress stalemates this bill, could we see a major selloff in the market and we could, even though it will be shortlived because for both parties it will be suicidal not to get a stimulus bill done in from both sides, they know that. They may push it off a little bit and want to play politics but we all know this has to get done. Look on the flipside what is going on in europe, that is historic, it really is and i think you see the reaction in the historic move today in gold and silver especially in copper and all the hard commodities, that might be the place you want to be because theres nothing like stimulus to get the commodity sectors going, your oil, gas, commodities, thats what gets the juices flowing, and the impact on the dollar, the dollar was only game in town because were the strongest economy but now that europe is stimulated our economy a little bit, that will weaken the eurodollar relationship and it should help u. S. Exports and should benefit from the european stimulus as well. Liz about 15 will cost you if you want a single euro. Did you see silver, we just showed it, it is comfortably above 21 per ounce, i believe it is a 15 this year alone slamming through the 20dollar per ounce ceiling, just to put into perspective, 2011 silver was at 50 an ounce. We have a while to get back to that. Closing bell ringing and im 49 and a half minutes, wendys on investors menus and the final hour of trade, after launching the new loyalty program, wendys rewards with a Double Points promotion for new members. That is good enough for three and a quarterback for the stock to make it 23 bucks even a share. But deacons beware, wendys is one of the only chains that has not yet added a plantbased buger in the ux. But no crying over spilled plantbased milk, the movement is gaining start power, of next the ceo of oatly, milk, this on the alternative a list investors and if he is ready to milk it to an ipo, the claman countdown is coming right back, to cut the dow running higher at 284 points. Liz oat and g, alternative milk disruptor and dairy free only proving its value to the investment world, the company has raised 200 million by selling a 10 stake to a group led by private equity giant blackstone group, this includes celebrities oprah winfrey, natalie portman, Howard Schultz in the Entertainment Company founded by daisy, the sales habitant 2 billion and some whispering about an ipo in the next 12 8 months. 12 18 month rather. For the man milking his products, only ceo Tony Peterson joining us live from sweden. Great to see you, think of her staying up late. I live for oatly, any oatmeal, i love it. Lets talk about this group and how it came together and what it means for the growth of your Company Going forward. It means a lot, we can survive a plantbased movement in our election capability with confidence and we can continue to innovate in depth like we do. And we just hope that we want to have more diversified Ownership Structure in u. S. Being the largest market for us, single market, single country, we thought we needed american investors. Also bringing generational voices into the mix and people who support our mission and our values and our decision. This is great. Liz i nearly lost an eye at whole foods trying to get this. Im telling you theres an actual shortage, what will this injection of money do for you, can you put together a Global Network of factories where you can put out more and what have you experienced during the covid crisis. We have increased our supply 30 40 since january. Redoing amazing the job producing. But its not enough. That is the case for every region we are in, europe and china, definitely something has been triggered and it just continues to accelerate. It is super exciting for us and we will continue to build factories and produce more. Liz talk about oat milk in these plantbased milks that are not milk but specifically have really been a boom in a savior for increasing allergies among children, i have a nephew who has a fatal allergy to milk, one particle per million he goes in the anaphylactic shock, all of the stuff, how much of your sale was driven by that and has it just been replaced by Widespread Adoption . You are right, if you look at the world, the vast majority of the population are intolerant to cows milk, that is just a fact. When these plantbased category started, that was the starting point for soy milk and rice milk and all of that. Today what you see something different, the conversion from cows milk into plantbased and more specifically into oatly. Not only by health but sustainability perspective. The different driver in the whole category right now, you are right, some people its absolutely critical. Liz lets put up the picture of the stars again that have invested the celebrities, whether oprah or jayz or natalie portman, im interested to know, how interested are they in the company, have you spoken to them, do they ask you things like how do you milk and oat . Tell us before we invest our money. We do not do animals, you know that. I have spoken to some of those definitely in the values and all of that. Its what we stand for as a company and this is a global movement, something that is driven by young people across continents, this thing about pfizer make the world better and eating and drinking more healthy, these people support that and there are generation voices and so definitely they will be able to reach out. Liz with that money, the infusion of 200 million could push you closer to turning the company into a publicly traded entity. Obviously you think about that at some point in investors do want to get their money out of this, do you have anything on the calendar or you can say in a couple of years we might go public . We do not. I cannot really comment but i tell you keeping options open and were an independent company, were not part of a structure in that surface really well but where were going from now, time will tell. Liz 90 would not answer but i had to ask it. My daughter is taking to hiding the oat milk in different parts of the fridge. Intel said did you drink my milk. And its certainly a very popular product these days on the shelves. Good to see you. Thank you liz. Liz the ceo of oatly. We are about 39 minutes away just as walmart is preparing to launch the walmart plus online Delivery Program to take on amazon, the retail giant makes a rather stunning historic announcement, they have announced that 428 million of their money will go to additional bonuses for workers this year bringing the total to 1. 1 billion fulltime Hourly Associates will bring 300 bucks and parttime will receive 150. Drivers, managers and assistant managers will also get bonuses but check this out, another change announced, walmart and sams club will be closed this year on thanksgiving. No black friday. Stay home, stay healthy and we dont want to deal with it. Retailers are not the only ones walmart up two thirds of 8 , change amid the pandemic, remember when we should do these guys from Clinton Holmes a few years ago, the tiny home that people were rushing to buy, up next, that is nothing when it comes to tiny. Liz her she shed is on fire, it is really burning hot, working from home in the quiet space to get the zoom calls done, a demand for she sheds and tiny homes, from modern shed and she shed, and theyre suddenly very hot. But lets get to the company that was way ahead in all of this, here to pull back the curtain on the big trend in tiny homes and sheds is grady trimble, out on the scene in illinois. I want to see these, i am obsessed with them. Cheryl can get a new one if she comes out here where we are. This is the ordinary tiny home that youve seen before, very popular over the last few years, this company is transitioning in part because of the pandemic to the tinier tiny homes and theyre not even exactly homes, their things like pool houses like this one with a bath into bed, bob is the founder and ceo of bantam belt, your transitioning to the smaller places in targeting customers who have real houses and not looking to move into tiny houses. A lot of people are enjoying from working from home but not with everybody else who also lives there, we decided to take all five years of our experience working in small spaces and designing small structures and focus on peoples backyards and creating a real solution for people to work from home during this time. Mike is going to go into the office, the tiny office with everybody working from home and they may not have a spare room and the house and they may not want to remodel a room, they can pop one of these down in their backyard, all they need is a shed permit and most place. Absolutely. A lot of people have looked into remodeling or putting on a room addition but the cost of permits are so expensive, for 75 150, you can get a permit, the same you and get for shed at home depot and put a nice office in your backyard. I know liz you been working from home, what do you think of this concept. This 8500 bucks and theres airconditioning in here. Liz it is heating on the east coast, but im telling you as i look at this, we can definitely see any place to get away from the kids and the husband just to make a quiet call would be absolutely fabulous. Grady trimble, thank you so much. Why not, as she shed cheryl the closing bell ringing in 31 minutes. Mask makers getting a bump at this hour following his tweet of support for wearing a face mask. He did that suddenly late yesterday, take a look at 3m, honeywell and a little bit of a frozen screen, as you enjoy this she shed, we have an ugly warning from the cdc, surging coronavirus cases in some parts of the u. As the original host of wheel of fortune, i was blessed to be part of building one of the greatest game shows in history. During that time, we handed out millions of dollars to thousands of contestants. And i thought, what if we paid the contestants their winnings in gold instead of cash and prizes . Back in 1976, we had a wonderful contestant named lee whose threeday winnings were valued at 12,850, and you know what . That was a pretty big haul back in 1976. So i wondered, what would have happened if lee had put 12,850 in cash and then put 12,850 in gold in a safe, just sitting there sidebyside from 1976 until now . Well, i went back and i ran the numbers, and what i found was amazing. We all know that 12,850 in cash would still be sitting there, but it would be worth a whole lot less than it was in 1976. But that 12,850 in gold, safely stored away, its worth 135,000 as of the taping of this commercial. Now, thats more than 10 times the original amount. And thats why ive been putting my money in Precious Metals for years, and i dont see any reason to stop now. Liz that is doctor juuling of merck with a very interesting morning and flogging to all of us that the house commerce oversight subcommittee hearing on Covid Vaccine development, executive from astrazeneca, johnson johnson, merck and geovax, astrazeneca could be first out of the gate with a vaccine suggesting, if that works they could have 300 million doses ready by october, there is a new threat, the department of justice today charging to chinese hackers working with the ministry of state security with global computer and choosing campaign and confidential business information. In other words stealing secrets from companies all around the world including covid19 Research Companies here in the u. S. We bring in geovax and the ceo david dodd, you heard from the fbi pretty early on that they were looking into Something Like this, what did they say at that point and what did you do to protect your Vaccine Development for covid19. Thank you in may the fbi and Cybersecurity Network issued a warning to all companies that was issued as a public indictment and there was select followup phone calls with companies that were actively working on vaccines related to covid19. We received one of those and i have a discussion with fbi agent about the situation and context we had already had from chinese based Companies Seeking to partner and to suggest being a partner and collaborator and we assured him while we had initially considered working with a particular Chinese Companies which we have high regard and made a decision in early april not to proceed into work on our own and they were very pleased with that they they alerted us. Liz how do you keep your proprietary research as youre working to develop specifically a vaccine at geovax from being stolen, the ideas and research from being stolen by statesponsored hackers or anybody else for that matter. We have everybody within the company o under confidentiality agreements, but that is insufficient as we all know. What we have also done is added additional layers to our internal service and computer networking firewall, just tomorrow we will be having a new firewall installed that gives you the greater protection because we are concerned not only with covid19 but numerous vaccines which we are developing to make sure we are able to protect the intellectual property in our technology and trade secrets. Liz i know, it is so unfortunate we are trying to create something for the greater good of the entire world and it has to be like this. Let me get to what you are developing. I know your and animal challenges where you test animals and make sure what you are developing does not spur more of the virus, it is starting to put it down, when you stand on that and when will you start human trials. You make an excellent point, the importance of an animal challenge model and the standard is the Gold Standard if you want to call it that, covid19 is the golden hamster model, we are actively involved in completing and finishing that challenge in working with the university of texas medical branch, a highly respected group that many people work with in that regard and in the interim we have the financing and into the barta, the health and Human Services and nih, and we will accelerate and just as soon as we receive additional funding, we funded everything ourselves at this stage. We anticipate less than a month having the results of the animal challenge and having the final dosing of the last week. That data will be coming and not just the level of protection but also the pathology that we understand the degree there might be a risk of stimulating a vaccine of the virus that youre trying to protect. Or even to stimulate another type of virus or even more so to the side effects that you otherwise would only find out when youre out disturbing among humans and thats the worst case, you see that happen historically, having vaccines pulled from the market in the cause of death, those unfortunate events. Nobody does. Liz you been very successful with creating vaccines for ebola, and im very interested in watching your success as are all of our viewers. Thank you so much, good luck to you and your team david dodd at geovax. Please do. Look at these heroes, 170 Different CountriesCompanies Rather trying to buy a vaccine, we wish them all while pre20 minutes before the closing bell, we topped off about 100point of games is still up 140 points for the dow jones industrial. The clock is ticking as key provisions like federal unemployment are set to expire, some provisions mainly the 600 extra per week and unappointed benefits expires early as this friday, as legislators try to hammer out a deal with the administration, some policymakers are reevaluating their priorities, what does that mean charlie gasparino. That means there was a meaninmeeting with congressional leaders, from what i understand it did not go well, heres the bottom line. Donald trump as president has been speaking with supplyside or larry kudlow and others to push for the payroll tax holiday at the very least, they make a good point, if you want to drive down unemployment, the best way is to not hang people bigger checks then they would make if they went back to work. It is part of the white house play for the 2020 election to get unemployment down 10 and that october. , the supplyside is a good case, lets forgo the 600 checks, all the additional unemployment stuff in insurance, lets go for a payroll tax cut, that said theres a reality, if you noticed trumpets talking about it, the president has been talking for pushing about the payroll tax, what the white house is realizing is what Steven Mnuchin has been pushing for for a while and thats what got him inside the white house battle with larry kudlow, the payroll tax cut based on my sources, it is unlikely to happen, there is not enough republicans that believe stimulative enough, a few extra bucks in peoples pockets, no democrats think its stimulus enough, they want the 600 checks and its probably not going to happen. Thats with the white house is coming to terms with, thats why they have an uneven strategy so far. Time is running out, couple weeks left in the month before the august recess begins. That said, they have some parameters they can rerun with the democrats pray they will have to forgo the payroll tax holiday and scaled back dramatically. They will have to give some checks to people, there will be additional Unemployment Insurance on top of the regular Unemployment Insurance and phaseout over the course of the year the Steven Mnuchin imposed. There may be a payroll tax cut in a document that the come up with, that is something they will give up quick so were basically getting liability waivers, that means businesses that open amid covid and dont get sued by classaction lawyers and other benefits that help republican voters. But the payroll tax cut is essentially what is Holding Things up, the president has been prodded by supply to make a good case, theres realpolitik and thats what mnuchin has been saying all along and thats why he got into a civil war with larry kudlow is probably not going to add. What are you laughing at. Liz im laughing, and thinking of civil war with the superheroes, the marvel superheroes and all the drama and i imagine mr. Mnuchin and mr. Kudlow in their tight outfits fighting the forces. They are not, theyre trying to come up with a solution. When bureaucrats fight, this is not like aaron byrne and hamilton, theyre not punching each other in the face. Bureaucratic civil wars, they may not even have a crossword to reach other, it is behindthescenes where they try to jockey and a strategy to influence a president. Part of the strategy of kudlow is to get guys like art laufer, and steve forbes to pursue supplyside agenda for them. He is part of the whole thing, part of the strategy of Steven Mnuchin is to go to the president , go to members of congress to talk to the president and say lets be realistic about this since recanted the payroll tax cut, lets get a dodge and get the stimulus and get out of dodge, something the Mitch Mcconnell wants to do, he wants his members home so they can hang on to the senate and the 2020 elections. That is what civil war is. There is not a lot of bloodshed unless you cut your finger on a paperclip or paper, or somethi something. I got it charlie, in the meantime millions of unemployed americans are waiting anxiously. I dont mean to make light of that, this is serious business, the sooner peoples livelihoods. It is very difficult. Liz not to mention a negative Market Reaction if they dont come up with a solution. Closing bell ringing in eight minutes, the doubt is down to double digits, not triple cup up 95 points. Nasdaq down 112, we added to those losses. We can look at it in the aftermarket session. That was a fourmonth high during the regular session. We do individual at 41. 96 right now. That jump not surprisingly fueled oil names with the top of the dow, and s p. Chevron, exxon, occidental pumping higher. Countdown closer says one name, he loves missing from that list. Joining us now, burke Financial Strategies john burke. Give us the name. Tell us what is so great about it. Talking about the energy space. Phillips we like. We like the refining stocks in the energy space all together but they dont have a worry about Commodity Prices. The Commodity Prices is the tough thing to forecast. Their world will be rights once the pandemic goes away, once people are driving cars again and flying in planes again because they buy crude oil from others, refine it, sell it as gasoline, sell it as jet fuel. Theyre down 40 , all three of them, three major refiners, phillips, valero, marathon. So if you trace that back to the top, down 40, math of that you will be up 66 if you can just wait for that. Liz what about demand . I say that at 30,000 feet where we started to see china is pulling back from purchasing foreign oil at the moment. Theyre just worried that we may see round two of this horrific virus. Were in phase one certainly in the beginning and it is looking still very ugly. We have record numbers of infections in certain parts of the u. S. You still see demand where it is supposed to be versus where it is going to be . It will be when the pandemic is over. Think about it when the pandemic is over. Who knows it, may be year from now. They talk about a vshaped recovery, a yshapedded recovery, wshaped recovery the same word in all those phrases, recovery. We will romp.
