Precinct yes, that is the same as the c. H. O. P. Protest precinct. At least two people were arrested, a dozen Police Officers were injured, one of them hospitalized. And in portland there have now been 53 straight nights of demonstrations and riots downtown. Federal officers once again had to use tear gas and force to break up the lawless mob of antifa and black lives matter rioters. President trump today vowed to send more federal officers, more federal agents to deal with the unrest and violence in the pacific northwest. Were sending Law Enforcement. Portland is totally out of control. They were ripping down for 51 days ripping down that city, destroying the city, looting it. And they really have done a fantastic job in a very short period of time. No problem. They grab em, a lot of people in jail. These are anarchists, these are not protesters. These people are anarchists. These are people that hate our country. And were not going to let it go forward. Lou portlands radical dem activist mayor ted wheeler, however, says he doesnt want those federal officers, those federal agents. And and wheeler is once again calling on the federal government to, well, to take those Law Enforcement officers out of his city. Who needs Law Enforcement . Their presence here is actually leading to more violence and more vandalism, and its not helping the situation at all. Theyre not wanted here, we havent asked them here. In fact, we want them to leave. [laughter] lou well, he obviously doesnt want to enforce the law, so he may not get a lot of choices. The head of the Portland Police association shamming wheeler and radical slamming wheeler and radical dem politicians saying the elected officials have condoned the destruction and the chaos, they have placedded their political agenda ahead of safety and the welfare of the community. Radical dem House Speaker nancy pelosi, who is now an extreme leftist, taking, of course, the side of the violent leftwing mob. She tweeted this weekend that, quote trump and his stormtroopers must be stopped. End quote. I wonder how much criticism shell receive in the national leftwing media about the nazi reference . What about pelosi and schumer and their band of radical agitators and rioters . Pelosi and the other radical dems obviously fully support the deadly violence, they condone seemingly each day, and the criminals who are running rampant through these democratrun cities. In chicago, anarchists showing frozen Water Bottles and rocks at Police Officers. Law enforcement Officials Say more than 40 officers were injured. 63 people were shot in chicago over the weekend. Nine kids among them. Twelve of those people were killed. Chicago police say 203 children have been shot since the beginning of this year. 35 of those thin killed. Of those children killed. Theres been no cry of outrage in chicago, theres been no cry of outrage in chicagos media. Theres been no cry of outrage from the Democratic Party. And theres certainly been no cry of outrage from chicagos radical dem mayori lori lightfoot. Or any other democratic leader in chicago. In new york the violence is almost as shocking. This weekend 24 people were shot in 22 separate shooting incidents. Thats a triple increase in shootings from a year ago. Almost four times as many shot as last year. And, and the president today said the violence in this country cannot continue like this. He warned that chicago may look somewhat different if joe biden is elected. Were not going to let new york and chicago and philadelphia, detroit and baltimore and all of these oakland, theres a mess. Were not going to let this happen in our country. All run by liberal democrats. How about chicago . Would you say they need help after this weekend . This is worse than afghanistan by far. This is worse than anything anyones ever seen. All run by the same liberal democrats. And you know what . If biden got in, that would be true for the country. The whole country would go to hell. And were not going to let it go to hell. Lou the department of Homeland Security is working to back up the president s threat to send more federal Law Enforcement into major democratrun cities where there is no law reports t that at least 150 federal agents could soon be on their way to chicago. And joining us now is ken cucinelli, acting deputy secretary for the department of Homeland Security. Ken, good to have you with us. What were watching, i have to say, it is, it is beyond comprehension that these mayors, these democraticrun cities are simply throwing their hands in the air and watching. And seemingly enjoying the show that threatens the lives, the safety of their citizens. I mean, the three cities youve talked about here four really with seattle portland, new york and chicago, i wouldnt say the mayors are throwing their hands in the air, id say theyre encouraging violent criminals. And unfortunately, the consequences are played out in those cities, and the innocent and the guilty alike caught up in it, you know . There are lots of businesses destroyed. There are peoples families and livelihoods that are being ruined by this violence, and the president has been very clear as you showed there, lou. He is, hes been very clear which side hes on. And thats why hes ordered us in the department of Homeland Security into portland, to back up our officers who are defending federal property and federal facilities and life itself in those cities. But theres only so much the federal government can do. The president s made it very clear were going to do that. Lou well, youve yeah. Well, you better not go in there thinking about limits, because this is out of control. And if youre not going to get it under control, dont bother with the trip. The truth of the matter is you havent had a cry from the Mayors Office because theyre instigating, leading right. Lou all of this in some instances. You havent had a cry from the local media. It is extraordinary. And where are the citizens, private citizens of this country who should be demanding far more, at least protection from their Police Departments let me finish. Yeah, sure. Lou who should be demanding this and demanding that the president send in federal forces from your department and others. Well, first of all, in these communities i think that theyre scared of the people that are tearing up their cities because they know they dont have the local support that is the lasting forever Community Protection of their local police. And we saw this in st. Louis with that one couple. And look at how some of the authorities turned on those folks. Although it was a good reminder why the Second Amendment exists. But, you know, this is a longterm undertaking, and the results of encouragement by these political people on the left mayor wheeler did this two years ago as well when he openly lou right. When an i. C. E. Facility out there was being under siege, he publicly said were pulling the police out, were pulling them back. And, of course, we advanced more officers there to take care of that facility. We arrested a bunch of people. But hes openly taking the side of those breaking the law, and he continues to do it year after year in portland. Lou so what are you going to do about it . What are you going to do about out . What is the administration going to do let me finish the question because it does go on. What is the Republican Party going to do . Youve got this situation in nearly every big city on the coast, nearly every major city in the mid the center part of the country. This is a big deal because this is this close to being insurrection. This isnt just with another antifa demonstration. These people are in with collapsible batons. They havent shown the theyve been smart enough to not be caught with a pistol, a reinvolver in any way that im aware of, but this is clearly an effort to disrupt and simply take over the country. Yeah, theyve undertaken tactics. So like you mentioned, if one of these folks was caught with a handgun breaking the law, theres a mandatory minimum sentence for that. But there isnt with a baton, this isnt for these other heck, theyre bringing loaded food cans to throw at a Law Enforcement officer. Well, if that hits you in the head, its going to do plenty of damage. And the same thing with slingshots and other things. And we only have part of our National Leadership obviously, the president is part of thailling to make the adjustments to the law to bring these people to justice meaningfully, really aselons rather than just these little misdemeanors. And, but weve put the officers in place to do it. Where the violence grows, weve been advancing officers. And you see that if portland most notably, but its gone on in other cities around the country for several months now. Lou i love the fact that the folks in seattle and portland wanting the department of Homeland Security to apologize for enforcing the law [laughter] i was awfully pleased, ken and we will not apologize for that. Lou breaking news now, the fbi saysn found dead about 100 miles north of new york city is the main suspect in the shooting death of a federal judges 20yearold son and wounding of her husband. The suspect is identified as roy den hollander, an attorney who had appeared before judge esther salas. A gunman dressed as a fedex deliveryman went to salas house in new jersey, shot her son and husband. The judge was reportedly in the basement. Her son divided of his injuries, the husband recovering from surgery. Salas recently started presiding over a case brought by Deutsche Bank investors who claim the bank failed to monitor highrisk customers including jeffrey epstein. The former girlfriend of jeffrey epstein, ghislaine maxwell, says she will be murdered and believes epstein was as well. Maxwell is charged with conspiracy, perjury for her role in the sex trafficking of minors in the mid 1990s. Shes being held at a Detention Center in brooklyn. Her trial scheduled to start a year from the now. Tens of thousands of Union Workers around the country walked off their jobs today as part of what they call the strike for black lives. That strike took place in more than 25 citieses around the country cities around the country, protesting what organizers call systemic racism and economic inequality. Among the unions taking part, the seiu, the service employs union, the teamsters, the American Federation of teachers, the united farm workers and the fight for 15. Since the mid 90s, the doj has conducted the Police Public Contact Survey where they ask 60,000 americans not a awe small sample 60,000 americans, did you have contact with the police last year, if answers yes, a series of questions follows. No pattern can be found. In 2013 the National Institutes of justice which is the research arm of the doj put out a study on race in traffic stops, could not find any pattern of abuse against black motorists. It is nothe pull back, bad guys know it, and it makes young black men falsely believe that theyre going to be harassed. Why not believe that . After all, your leaders are telling you that. It is a lie, and its getting people killed, and the democrats need to knock it off. And what happens, lou, is that the democrats say this kind of stuff to run for office, they get into office, and they expect the very same people theyve encouraged to believe america is an inherently racist country to not believe it while in office. It doesnt work that way. You convince them that the death of george floyd is a moye micro george floyd is a microcosm of the problem. Lou that you unleashed, directed, orchestrated and pushes thats right. Lou in city after city, all democraticrun, by the way, to carry out all of the looting [laughter] violence, rioting and deadly violence at that. You know, theres a lot of blame here. You know, we can blame parents, we can blame schools, we can blame but, you know, the Republican Party deserves some blame, it seems to me, and all conservatives in tolerating what has been this move toward indoctrination rather than education, that has permitted just an extraordinary tolerance in our classrooms and a lack of discipline. We have more republicans running from responsibility than i would have ever imagined 20 or 30 years ago. They bear great responsibility, and they sit on their hands, and then they represent Corporate America and, you know, or china in the congress of the United States or the senate. Theyre now taking control of their theyre not taking control of their schools, their city councils, and theyre not demanding, theyre not demanding of their Police Departments. Yes, strict enforcement of the law but also discipline on that Law Enforcement organization or agency. This is, you know, too often keys talk like conservatives talk like theyre great observers of a National Sweep in history instead of participants in the lives of every one of the citizens of this country. Absolutely. Whats the route to success . Finish high school, number one. Dont have a kid before you get married, and make sure you get a job. Look at some of these high schools. The issue of choice in Public Schools should be the first thing republicans say when they try to get black votes. Youve got 13 public high schools in baltimore in the inner city where 0 of kids can do math at grade level, and ooh another half a dozen where only 1 can. Why isnt choice the central issue facing the Republican Party Going Forward . Black people need to escape this underperforming, horrible government schools where you have schoolteachers with schoolaged kids dont even put their own kids. 44 of philadelphia teachers put their cuds in a private put their kids in a private school. What does that tell you . Lou yeah. And by the way, on the issue of race, people shouldnt be blaming racism for it because white people are doing exactly the same thing to their children, which is to ignore how poorly theyring being taught. The conditions are so so extreme my for so many kids all across this country. We are wasting our future. These kids are our future, and we are doing just a horrible job of educating them and preparing them. Children of all races, all americans. Larry you elder, its great to e you with us. Pulitzer prizewinning columnist for the New York Post and fox business contributor michael goodwin. Michael, i want to begin with you because over the past week you have done some of the most important, i think, writing in the country in which you reveal that the owners of the New York Times are beyond hypocritical and were slave owners and trafficked in slaves. Well, of course, some years ago. But its really amazing reporting, and i just want to congratulate you. I think thank you. Lou the times should put you up for a pulitzer. [laughter] yes, that would be lou congratulations. Thank you. Lou so what are they going to do . Going to turn over the times to black lives matter . I mean, how are hows this going to work . Because they have a lot of reparation to make, dont they . They d youre right, these go back to the, in one case, to the postrevolutionary war, a member whose extended salzburgeroxfamly married into it. And in the precivil war era in the south, a mississippi merchant owned five slaves. And the relevance to the family in that case is pretty close because the mother of the patriarch of the family, adolf fox who took over the times in 1896 and his family has owned it ever since she lived with the family with slaves and was a big supporter of secession and slavery. So and theres a lot of other relatives who fought for the south. And theres evidence in the newspapers itself of the things that were plushed in publishd in the chattanooga times, the New York Timeses of supporting Jefferson Davis and southern memorials, the Stone Mountain in particular. So i think the New York Times has a lot of explaining it must do [inaudible] abraham lincoln, george and Thomas Jefferson on the issue of slavery. Lou yeah. By the way, theyre a pathetic family, to be permitting and condoning that to begin with. But the vile language used by some of those traffic and also some of the vile reporting in their publications over the years is as much to a atone for. Ed, you had to be thrilled to see our friend michael just tear it up once again. I mean, its outstanding journalism. Michael is a great friend to have, but hes also a great addition to your show. A critical thing, i think Everybody Needs to study a little history. Ive had the privilege of teach a course at hofstra university. Civil war was a very tough, difficult thing for this country. There were actually great heroes. Grant did more to basically free africanamericans as slaves than anybody in america, and people need to go back and read some of that many of the first president s were slave owners, slavery was a terrible, terrible thing for this country. But at the end of the day, too many people are getting condemned for the wrong reasons. Lou yeah. The reality is that there is so much obscene hypocrisy and sang few moan yous sanctimonious nonsense and revisionism thats attached to all of these efforts by the radical left in this country to tear down americas heritage, to disavow and to distort our history. Michael, is there a where do you think that this reversal of all of this can begin . Perhaps with your reporting. Well, i would hope, i would hope that the New York Times would open its own vaults to us own investigative reporters and say treat us like you would treat any other institution. And my hope, lou, is that if that were to happen, you would get a sense of humility perhaps and people recognizing that people can do great and terrible things. George washington, jefferson as you mentioned, slave owners x yet they were true, true american heroes. And so if were going to take the worst of minute and cancel them because of that, were going to lose the good that people did too, the very good. Lou well, were not [inaudible] has both. Lou and you get a quick last word, ed. A critical thing, lets have a dialogue. Slavery was a great, great black mark on this country. We need to have a dialogue, and we need to basically make sure that our young people understand that the history and how we move forward in a positive way and to treat everybody decently and, basically, dont trash your history. Amen. Lou one i can guarantee you this, that will be more than a die if they dialogue if they continue in this direction. It is beyond the pale to see what these leftwing mayors have accepted all because of their shared left u. S. Ideology leftist ideology. Its sickennenning but its not dispiriting. Youre going to see a couple of other documents come out in the coming days that will suggest that not only was the campaign spied on, but the fbi did not act appropriately as they were investigating. What mark meadows said, tom, by the way, thatll be the most important result. The nation awakens to who these people are, the adam schiffs, the chuck schumers, all of these characters and creeps. Well, certainly mark meadows is speaking for you and me when he expresses desire that its about time there be prosecutions and indictments. I think the president is president in part because of that desire. Remember, you know, lock her up. Hillary clinton, though, still hasnt been investigated by the fbi, doj or state department. Theyre protecting her. With this whole obamagate with scandal, nothings been done for 3. 5 years now. Mr. Durham was appointed in april of last year. Not one indictment after 15 months. Lou, this is not acceptable. And i think whats going to happen is hes going to issue another zinger of a report that will get you nothing, and a few indictments of some lower level lou remember, the attorney general made it clear largely will fade away in terms of getting held accountable. Lou yeah. Well, im going the take the over on this. I truly believe that barr meant it when he said that durham isnt in the business of delivering reports and that, by inference, we may expect indictments. Mark meadows is not in the business of parsing. I believe that he sent a very clear message that he will be expecting indictments. And the president should accept nothing less. I mean, this is outrageous. The American People should not accept less. I mean, look at the cast of vile characters and criminals who ran the Justice Department, the fbi. Look at what Christopher Wray did today in appointing a colleague of sally yates and Rod Rosenstein as general counsel. This is sickening to watch. And this is under attorney general barr. What do you make of it . You know, we just got documents the other day showing that peter strzok had investigations into the white house the moment the president walked into the oval office and was trying to figure out how to manipulate counterintelligence investigations to abuse him further. These documents have been withheld for three years by this Justice Department and this fbi. Hence my skepticism that theyre going to do what is necessary in terms of justice and accountability. You know, for instance, also he just admitted he knew Hillary Clinton direct wily knew about the dossier. Why isnt Hillary Clinton being questioned by durham . I just fear lou i think its a great question. Why in the world [inaudible conversations] go ahead. Lou i was just going to say i would agree if you called for an investigation. I mean, this is a woman who turned over 20 of iranian, effectively uranium, effectively, to the russians. I mean, the Obama Administration has much to answer for and not there are no answers at this point. And the reason there are no answers is that they have put up a magnificent, bright, shiny stone wall, and the leftwing media has let it stand and so has the Republican Party, i might add. You get the last are word here, tom. Make it as long as you wish. Well, you know, i think this conversation highlights what were facing. We want, you know, theres this hope that somethings done, frustration nothings done and, lou, ill give credit to you, ill give credit to some of your colleagues over there at the networks and, obviously, Judicial Watch has been doing a lot of this.
