General just moments ago upping the charges against Derek Chauvin now to seconddegree murder. The question will the others be charged with aiding and abetting . Were still awaiting that. George floyds death, the nation aweakening to the role Corporate America will play when it comes to leveling the Playing Field for all of our citizens. All that and so much more on making money. Charles all right, folks, the stock market rebound continues as buying spreading to more sectors tied to economic growth. More over, there are so many positive signs. There is a steepening yield curve, weaker dollar. I want to get the read from gary kaltbaum, kaltbaum Capital Management president and Fox News Contributor, Wealth Management and phil orlando. The rally is looking impressive but the fundamentals under it, are Getting Better . For the last three weeks we talk about the fact, all three areas, 85 of the market left for dead was bottoming, and now theyre doing a stair step upward, led by financials, led by actually airlines and cruise lines are coming off the lows and everything economically sensitive and now were starting to see some things here. I was amazed this morning when i saw somebody had a loss of nine million jobs and ive been going out to all these cities, wait a minute, things are opening up. So my expectations would have been a lot better than that and it was, markets reflecting it. You add in jay powell, you have a market on the run right now. Charles you know, to that point, phil, breaking news, moments ago the 10year yield up 12 today, near a very big breakout point. Gary alluded to the adp jobs report. We have the bls, federal jobs report on friday but golly, there is some, the idea is not only maybe vshaped recovery but maybe the economy wasnt was not as bad as we thought it was to begin with. People have to understand that the situation is very different than a traditional recession. This is not the bursting of the Technology Bubble in 2000. This is the not bursting of the housing bubble in 2007. We intentionally shut the u. S. Economy down in march in order to save lives. It was nothing structurally wrong with the economy. We had 3 1 2 rate of unemployment in february, the best, lowest rate of unemployment in half a century. So now were starting to slowly flip the on switch again and everyone seems to be surprised that the economy is starting to move in the right direction. Charles you know, of course, one of the big debates for investors is particularly on wall street, right . It is always between battle of wisdom of the crowds versus madness of the crowds. That is part of the title coined by charles mckay, well over 100 years ago that describes how stupid the masses could be. The tulip bubble was the biggest example in that book. David nicholas, you have a unique take on this. You doesnt see the wisdom of crowds versus madness of crowds but the young and old scenario here . I do, charles. I agree with what the earlier guest said. Im seeing a lot of younger investors come in. We have this paradigm [inaudible]. Charles okay. I think i lost david. Well try to get him back up. Gary, want to go to you on that, the wisdom of the crowds, wall street has always been like going all the way back to the shoeshine boy asking joe kennedy for stock tips. Going back to the book, madness of crowds and tulip bubbles but more recently you know, behavioral scientists have said maybe the crowds are right more than theyre wrong . Charles, price moves emotions. When you have a 35 crash in a matter of a couple of weeks, there is not much you can do. Emotion will change to the downside. Now youre going to see emotions change to the upside as we open up. It is normal. Human nature, fear, greed, are normal emotions based on movement of price. That is something i have to fight with myself all the time because when you all you see are riots, bad news, were in the midst of a pandemic, you dont want to think the markets can go higher, but whatever is moving them higher is doing the trick. Let me just say this. It is not all wine and flowers out there. Were still down the road will have to deal with valuation, getting rid of the fed and a lot of dent and deficit. We have a sweet spot here 85 of the market is stair stepping higher. I think it continues. Charles phil, to that point, wall street conventional wisdom that the crowds are wrong, but the crowds made their move in the market long before wall street. To be quite frank i think most wall street firms are still resisting the idea this market has come as far as it has. Many are cautioning it is going to go back down. Youre exactly right. The thing that people forget is that the equity market is a forwardlooking discounting mechanism that will attempt to price the future in, you know, several months ahead of time. So when the market was collapsing by 35 , from the middle of february, the middle of march, the Economic Data was still pretty good but the market was pricing in a recession they knew was coming as a result of the coronavirus. Charles right. Were up 41 in the last 10 weeks. The Economic News is still terrible but the street is saying you know what . The numbers are going to get better in the second half of the year and thats what were pricing in right now. A lot of investors dont understand that forwardlooking discounting mechanism. Charles well, David Nicholas is back with us. You were talking about the whole phenomenon going on this particular rally with younger investors versus tepid investors. Youre our youngest guest right now. I think youre more cautious than phil or gary . You know, i am, i think it comes from a technical standpoint. For me i see the liquidity entering the market so i cant discount that but the question for me, can the market truly have a vshaped recovery that is sustainable without the economy having a vshaped recovery. That is the verdict for me is still out. I want to see the economic date in the third and Fourth Quarter to believe that the market is sustainable over the next two years. Charles david, are you making investments now . Because if you wait until the third or Fourth Quarter it might be too late . No, we are. 20 of our portfolios are what we consider recovery stocks or recovery basket. Were still owning the names, high quality names but im not yet taking the plunge yet into the names that have been beaten up the most. So that is where im saying im cautious. A lot of young money, new money, is going into those areas. Charles by the way, that young money, they are making a lot of money. I tip my hat to the millenials. They got into the market when everyone said to get out. So far they are scoring big time. David, phil, gary, i couldnt have started the show with a better panel. Thank you, guys, appreciate it. More of breaking news i told you at the top of the show, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reporting that the states attorney general is elevating charges against former Police Officer who kneeled on George Floyds neck, Derek Chauvin is now being charged with seconddegree murder. The paper is saying that the three officers will be charged with aiding and abetting standing by watching george floyd die. Economic advisors in coming days to discuss different options with the white house over the next Corona Relief package. Many americans want another round of 1200dollar stimulus checks. They were relief checks. Call them stimulus checks if they go out again. Yet the proposal is not necessarily looking that way. I want to go to blake burman. He joins us live from the white house with the latest. Blake . Reporter charles, im told the meeting between President Trump and his top economic advisors still expected to happen at some point this week, dont know exactly when though. The arrow is certainly still pointing in that direction. This is kind of the moment potentially when the white house will crystalize exactly what direction they want to move as it relates to next step Economic Relief measures. Youre right. When it comes to direct payment checks, maybe at this point, not necessarily at the very, very top of the priority list because here is what ive been told. At this point that the white house is zeroing in on. Liability protection. Payroll tax cut President Trump is pushing for. Reducing the federal unemployment benefit from 600 to half that amount, maybe 250 or 300dollar range. A Tax Deduction for or credit for vacations in the u. S. For defined period of time which would apply to meals and hotels. One of the president s top economic advisors described their goals this way. What were doing as a team were preparing a number of options for the president , that we expect, we expect to present them to him. He is going to decide what he wants to do with a phase four deal. He will have a complete menu of options that are really conditional on what were seeing in the Economic Data. So that if the data are worse than expected well have a plan for that. Reporter elsewhere charles, there was a bit of a break by the white house by the secretary of defense. Mark esper says he does not believe the insurrection act should be invoked at this time. That would allow for u. S. Military personnel to be able to patrol streets within the u. S. , something the white house said it is considering. Now the secretary of defense says he believes it should be used for urgent and dire situations. That quote, we are not in one of those situations now though, the Associated Press is reporting at this hour, charles, that u. S. Military personnel in washington, d. C. , are being now redirected back to their home bases. Something that we could potentially hear about where the white house stands on all of this from the press secretary Kayleigh Mcenany as she is set to brief here from the white house at any moment. Charles . Charles blake, thank you very much. I will be asking our guest, commander kirk lippold about that among other uses of the military. Meanwhile last night bringing mostly peaceful protests across the country but there was still some looting and while the images are jarring some people out theyre, no doubt that the presence of the National Guard quelled the violence, still the debate rages on over the role of the military during civil unrest. The media saying it has gone too far. Also next, we are examining Corporate Americas new public announcements fighting inequality. Charles Companies Across the country throwing support behind efforts of job tripping and Business Funding to better compete with society. Cheryl casone live with more. Reporter charles, this isnt the first time, likely not going to be the last whether companies create messaging through advertisements or ceo statements or work place guidelines to stay in separate with society and current events. Bank of america is making 4 milliondollar support to help local communities address racial inequality. Nike put pull sport behind nfl quarterback colin kaepernick, took a knee to call upon injustice to africanamericans. Starbucks put out a statement after george flied. Racism is not on the menu. This is the same company how its employees treated group of africanamerican men in a store in philadelphia m these companies promote diversity or equality or inequality happening the spotlight inevitably turns on them. How many minorities in management do they have . How many executives are people of color . How many women. Snap ceo is calling for Reparations Commission and higher taxes to combat racial injustice. A group would find away to make america more equitable for black citizens he wrote to employees on monday. What if the tables are turned on a Technology Company like snap, twitter, facebook. How diverse is their Employee Base . It has been talked about before. How many people of color are among their top ranks, charles . Just want to end with this. The u. S. Chamber plans to hold a National Town hall on june 25th to once again bring up issues of inequality, employment, entrepeneurship and yes, criminal justice reform. Issues that have been talked about for a long, long time. Charles, back to you. Charles yeah. The old adage, action versus words. Cheryl, thank you very much, on all of this, folks i would like to bring in independent Women Forum Senior policy analyst kelsey bolar. Kelsey, weve seen it all before but of course, lets remind the audience that the worst example of this was when pepsi hooked up with Kendall Jenner in that infamous commercial where there was protests and anguish and all she had to do was pop open a pepsi with the Police Officer and the world was right. No one is going to make those mistakes again but are they going down the right path . Well, look, charles, woke capitalism is a real thing and youre right, we have seen a lot of corporations make some major mistakes in trying to put out messaging surrounding these difficult and very sensitive issues. Look, i want to give some of the banks credit here for finally putting their money where their mouth is and investing in minorityrun, local small businesses. These are the exact types of solutions that we need to see from the private sector. So often we only hear cheap rhetoric. I think it is long past time for the private sector to step up and put the funding behind the woke capitalism that we hear, that we hear them constantly lecture us about. Charles right. I like the fact that you used the word invest, right . Theyre not giving money away. When i started my business in harlem 35 years ago i could not get a bank to help me out. It was really tough. They didnt want my business. So it is an investment. It is an investment in america that can help everyone but you are concerned also i think this may go into other politically correct avenues, arent you . Absolutely. I think were going to hear more talk about racial and gender quotas this is a very dangerous path to go down. I personally think this would only further the racial divides in our country. I absolutely want to see more minorities and women taking leadership roles but that should be based on merit. It needs to be based on opportunity. Charles right. So from the government we need to look at policies that are going to create opportunities for all americans, yes, black americans included. Charles quotas have backfired miserably. On that top pick cheryl just mentioned the ceo of snap, evan spiegel. He is talking about a Reparations Commission. Of course that wouldnt come out of his pocket. Earlier this week the founder of b. E. T. Talked about a lot of money going to reparations. Where are you on Something Like that . Well, look, this means higher taxes for americans across the board, including africanamericans and any low income americans despite, despite the color of your skin. I think we need to be very careful about that. Prior to covid19 we had a historic economy. We had historic unemployment rates for minority communities. I hear them when they say that is not enough and i absolutely think we need to be discussing and having robust policy debate about policies that will further open opportunities for minority communities but i dont think a higher taxes and gender quotas are going to get there. They absolutely would backfire. Charles reparations im afraid i dont think they would work either. I think they would backfire too. Kelsey, real quick, speaking of snap, the ceo of snap just moments ago mentioned they will stop promoting President Trump following the lead of twitter. This sort of new corporate activism, particularly as it pertains to the white house, are you concerned about this being a slippery slope . Absolutely. And look, so many policies we need to talk about, police reform, these are local and state issues. These have nothing to do with President Trump. I understand he is an easy target but if we really want to find solutions to the problems that many of these Peaceful Protesters are raising we need to look to the local leaders and stop blaming President Trump for everything. We dont live in a dictatorship. We have power as voters, as community members. We need to responsibly act on that. Charles these problems were hear for a long time before we heard after President Trump. Kelsey, always appreciate your wisdom. Well talk to you again real soon. Folks, look at this, this is the saks fifth avenue store, the iconic saks fifth avenue store all boarded up. Topped with barbedwire and guarded outside with dogs. Maybe the myth of urban oasis and inclusiveness for all races has been shattered once and for all. Combination of pandemic and protests has gun sales soaring. I dont think it is just the nra crowd. By the way is it too late to buy those stocks . Well discuss that too. Well be right back. Charles how many . Riots still erupting across major u. S. Cities causing businesses to take drastic measures. In new york city the saks fifth avenue store guarded by dogs, folks. Professionally boarded up with chainlink fence, topped with razor wire. Maybe it is a perfect visual that shatters the myth of urban oasis friendly, inclusive to all races and hopefully chatter for all. Bring in Fox News Contributor deneen borelli. I think Stevie Wonder got it right in the long, living for the city almost 30, 40 years ago, this idea that these big cities were going to be oasis for folks never materialized. Well you cant have an oasis without law and order, charles. And look, you got to look at the local level officials, politicians, namely de blasio and cuomo pointing fingers at each other and the Utter Nonsense of destruction that has taken place in new york city. I was on the streets of new york yesterday, around that same area. I had an appointment. I took photos. I posted it on my web site, dinnen borelli. Com. That is absolutely outrageous. All you could sigh, charles, construction workers putting up the plywood, numerous trucks coming in and out bringing more plywood to board up the stores. I can tell you i cannot believe the destruction and outrage that took place on the streets of new york for a number of days, not just maybe one night, even though that is not acceptable either but for a number about days. And now you have politicians pointing finsers at each. It is a lack of leadership on the local level. Charles here is the thing, deneen, long before covid19, long before the unrest that weve been watching, you know, weve seen where black folks were moving back down south after several decade in these big cities, getting nowhere. The highest income inequality is in new york city and los angeles. This is sort of myth that these democraticallyrun large cities will be urban oasis, well treat you with kindness and respect, i just dont think it ever happened. I think it was always a myth. I just hope that when folks move to different parts of the country, that theyre reevaluate the platforms they vote for. By the way, what should these parties be doing, even the Political Party . What do you want to see them do . Well, take responsibility first of all, especially these poor cities and towns that have been ravaged by these rioters and looters. But you also have to look at the fact that a place like new york, new york city, for example, there is already an exodus. There is high taxes. There is an exodus over the covid19. And now, with this lawlessness that we witnessed and were still seeing in new york city, why in the world would you want to live there . Why would you want to have a business there as well . Charles right. When you dont, when you know the government is not going to be there and have your back . Charles real quick, deneen, just you personally, ive known you for a long time and i know youre introspective person, has anything changed, just from what weve gone through as a nation the last four months, has anything changed in the way your outlook or the way you feel about things . Well i cant believe americans would tear down their very own neighborhoods and towns, the innocent folks who were there, cant get their groceries, cant go to the drugstore what are they going to do . This isnt going to be fixed overnight . Where are the community activists, socalled civil rights leaders, how come youre not out there with bullhorns in front of the cameras, calling out idiots destroying neighborhoods and areas. It is utterly ridiculous. Cant tell you how outraged i am. Charles thanks, i know you are. Speak about rage, she is not only one, gun sales surged in may amid National Protests and stoked fears over the coronavirus pandemic. Ashley webster joints us with the details. Ashley, that is one heck of a jump. Yeah it really is. You know what, charles, long before the violence and looting began gun sales had already gone through the roof and once the pandemic hit and lockdowns began, citizens worried about public disorder all the way back in midmarch, end of march, they decided now is the time to buy a firearm, the month of may alone, 1. 7 million firearms sold in the u. S. That as you say, a staggering increase of 80 over the same month last year. And by the way the fbi says it conducted more than 3 million background checks last month. That, 700,000 more than just a year ago. The violence and looting certainly in recent days just added to the demand for firearms. Long lines like these can be seen at gun stores around the country. People waiting hours to make a purchase. We spoke with a Gun Store Owner in los angeles who told us his business has tripled in recent weeks. Almost exclusion live sy he says selling handguns to firsttime buyers who say they are scared for their safety. Take a listen. Were getting almost exclusively brand new buyers. And, everybody wants handguns or pump shotguns. That is all anybody is asking for. Nobody is asking for rifles or ever present evil ars. Everybody wants 12 gauge pumps, everybody want the handguns. Everybody wants handguns. By the way you would expect all of this has given a boost to the gunmaker stocks that has been the case, except as you can see today, stern ruger, smith an wesson just to name a few are lower, in fact on some profit buying. Sturm ruger down 7 after a fouryear high recently. Smith wesson by the way, this stock has gained more than 60 percent year to date. A little bit of profittaking. Down a buck at 14. The question, charles, how long can these kind of gun sales can be maintained when you look to buy the gun stocks. Uptick in people, firsttime buyers buying handguns for selfdefense is quite remarkable. Charles absolutely. Ashley, thank you very much. Mean time folks, the markets are jumping big time as the economy shows signs maybe the worstcase scenario advertised by wall street, maybe it never materialized. Later in the hour, the booming sector the financial naysayers thought would never come back. It is plus with the Economic Resilience that we are seeing, will this finally get all of that cash, were talking trillions, off the sidelines . Some Companies Still have hr stuck between employees and their data. Entering data. Changing data. More and more sensitive, personal data. And it doesnt just drag hr down. It drags the entire business down with inefficiency, errors and waste. Its ridiculous. So ridiculous. With paycom, employees enter and manage their own data in a single, easy to use software. Visit paycom. Com, and schedule your demo today. Ive always been faand still going for my best, even though i live with a higher risk of stroke due to afib not caused by a heart valve problem. So if theres a better treatment than warfarin. I want that too. Eliquis. Eliquis is proven to reduce stroke risk better than warfarin. Plus has significantly less major bleeding than warfarin. Eliquis is fdaapproved and has both. Whats next . Reeling in a nice one. Dont stop taking eliquis unless your doctor tells you to, as stopping increases your risk of having a stroke. Eliquis can cause serious and in rare cases fatal bleeding. Dont take eliquis if you have an artificial heart valve or abnormal bleeding. While taking eliquis, you may bruise more easily and it may take longer than usual for any bleeding to stop. Seek immediate medical care for sudden signs of bleeding, like unusual bruising. Eliquis may increase your bleeding risk if you take certain medicines. Tell your doctor about all planned medical or dental procedures. Eliquis, the number one cardiologistprescribed blood thinner. Ask your doctor if eliquis is whats next for you. Charles so todays adp jobs report painting a picture of a possible vshaped recovery now. I know it is counterintuitive to everything youve seen, certainly everything you are heard from the experts. Were seeing improvement in almost every area of the economy. Still there is a ton of cash on the sidelines. There is 6 trillion in household savings, including money that corporations are sitting on. The question though, real conundrum, how do we get the cash to circulate, wrapping up decade of declining velocity in the market or economy . Bring in greg valliere. Velocity of money, i get 10 bucks i buy something afrom the guy across the street, she buys something from the woman across the street and down the block. The money circulates. The it has dried up in the last decade and plunged more recently. With all the money on the sidelines, ask them to if they can get that back in circulation . Some of that is the underground economy which is still with us, but i think the big story right now, were getting more stimulus. What washington is just beginning now to talk about one trillion dollar additional package. Might be late july before we get it enacted. That is a big deal, the fed will keep rates at zero for probably another year or so. With the economy clearly coming back, we have even more stimulus. Charles this morning wall street was looking for nine million jobs lost. It was obviously less than three million, substantially better. And im wondering, you know, start to piece together yesterdays auto sales, whatever, maybe we never had the absolute worstcase scenario that was baked into the market when it was in freefall mode . That could very well be. You know that when the checks went out for 1200, a lot of people didnt spend the money. They still have it. Things have been tight obviously. I would say with the economy starting to turn around now, with more stimulus coming on the fiscal side, yeah, i think there is a very Strong Economy coming. I would even make this point, that, we could be talking by late this year, early next year, about a little inflation. Charles listen, im glad you brought that up, greg because, ive been saying for a couple years, the fed has telegraphed in several ways but not directly how afraid they are of deflation, disinflation, you know, deflationary death spiral is like something they can never control. That was what the Great Depression was, folks, a deflationary death spiral. I know that the new york fed has been worried about it. I know other members of the fed have been worried about it. Could we actually finally get it . I think everybody was worried about, yeah what everybody was worried about two months ago was dissipated. Well not get deflation. I think that was overdone. Well not have negative interest rates. I think the one of the most interesting stories today is treasury yields. They have gone up by quite a bit. That is a sure sign that the economy is coming back. And the other thing every one worried about, was a depression. Well certainly not have depression. I think well have one of the quickest recessions ever. Charles greg valliere, always great to tap into your wisdom and knowledge. I appreciate it might have friend. By the way, folks, latest move from the trump admin suggests that our cold war with china will continue to simmer but many wonder what is the boiling point . President trump is urging new york city to take up his offer to deploy the National Guard. Many municipalities have called the guard, despite media criticism, calling it militarization of americas cities. What is next in this controversial move . Well be right back. Charles well the white house, folks, saying just moments ago insurrection act is a tool available and quote, if needed the president will use it but right now they are focused on surging the streets with National Guard. This as 28 states and washington, d. C. , have activated more than 20,000 National Guard members to assist Law Enforcement in response to unrest. This afternoon a military show of force in full display in our nations capital. Hillary vaughn joins us with what is happening at this very moment. Hillary . Reporter charles, i want to point out what youre seeing right now this is definitely a ramped up military presence here between the protesters and the white house. You can see they moved in two big trucks right here. Those were not there moments ago. They also added a larger presence, about 30 more, some National Guard, some other military officers move in. They were double stacked at one point, when there was about hundreds of protesters in this area. Right now theyre doing a big lap around d. C. , but were getting new information what the doj is looking into, the type of presence that theyre seeing as part of these protests. Theyre looking to any ties to extremest groups that may be involved including antifa. Theyre looking into supply dropoffs. There are reports and sightings of big boxes of bricks and other things that protesters have then used to throw at Police Officers and military officers here that are protecting the district and protecting the president. Also protecting our national monuments. There has been at least 30 officers that have been injured by projectiles that have been thrown at them from pipes, bottles to bricks. All of that is currently under investigation and looked into. The other thing i will point out, charles, it is 90 degrees right now with 40 humidity. So it really is a quite a feat to have officers right here decked in full riot gear and full uniform, standing in this heat, keeping essentially a human barricade with the protesters we see here around the white house just steps away. Charles . Charles hillary vaughn, thank you very much the National Guard not only being used not yet used in new york city but used all over the country but President Trump said he is ready to take action in in the big apple. Would that be a good idea. I want to bring in former commander kirk lippold. Thanks for joining us. I do find it interesting when President Trump had the Conference Call around the country and many of them bristled at the idea, says you should dominate the space against what is obviously organized urban warfare being used by some of these groups. Then within hours, most of them did exactly that, despite criticizing the President Trump for suggesting it . Well, charles, what youre seeing is politics versus the actual situation on the ground. When you take a look at this, i think it is very unfortunate that americans have become comfortable with the National Guard and military being deployed on our streets, because of a failure by politicians to adequately fund, man and train Police Forces through the our country to do their Law Enforcement duties. National guard after a natural disaster, absolutely yes to maintain the kind ever calm and get services and safety in place but what were seeing right now is a longterm failure by both parties to adequately fund Police Forces across the country. Charles but to that point i think it is a fantastic point, many of the same folks who are calling what were seeing right now the militarization of american cities, also are against the militarization of Police Forces. They have pushed back against the notion of giving local Police Departments the same kind of armament, the same kind of weapons that to fight back against criminals who are obviously wellarmed and these days wellorganized . I think part of it is, you have to look at history. When you go back why is Police Department, why are Police Department the across the country given some of the military equipment that were seeing on the streets today . It had to do with our ability to go after the drugs, after the gangs, and people that were literally so uparmored themselves that the s. W. A. T. Teams had to compete with them. But over time we began to say, wait, wait, all this equipment going out, there is no need for an m wrap vehicle to be given to Police Departments. I think it is unfortunate were seeing these vehicles deployed routinely, rather than only in exemptional circumstances where a s. W. A. T. Team may need to be called out. When you have military vehicles carrying out neighborhood streets where people are on their property standing at their door and the police are telling them to get inside, that is not what we should be having going on in our country. Charles i want to ask but the insurrection act of 1807. Earlier today mark esper saying that he is not for it right now. Only as a last resort and it does not apply, still though President Trump musing about it. I certainly think the legal argument. There is no longer a legal argument but it that he does or could invoke it. Where do you stand . I think there is difference between lawlessness an insurrection. Right now we are nowhere near as a country to an insurrection. We have organized mobs conducting lawless behavior, rioting, burning and destroying businesses, telling and injuring people including Police Officers but i think were a long way away from where we need to be deploying the active duty military on the street of our country. I fundamentally oppose that. I think it would be sending the wrong signal not only to americans but to the world if we were to do that. Charles all right. Charles well, folks, casino stocks among those popping as reservations right now well above expectations ahead of the big las vegas reopening at midnight tonight. On that, want to bring in one of my favorite traders when it comes to making money. D. R. Barton, my man, we havent talked in a long time. Deal me in, are you trading some of these things . Heres the thing. The stocks that have really been superduper hot, we missouri the fu know the fundamentals are wrecked. Macys is among the top percentage gainers almost every single day. The cruise ships are rocking and rolling. Of course, now today we got the casino stocks up, Churchill Downs is rocking. Where have you been . Well, you know, one of the interesting things that i see, i wish i had coined this phrase, but there seems to have been a dash for trash here. The stocks that were bottom feeders all of a sudden have had a big pop as people start with the reopening optimism we have seen a lot of good things that make us optimistic about this reopening, but i think a lot of these stocks are going to do really well earlier and some of them like the cruise names, like the airline names, they might take a little while longer to do well. I do like the casino space in general. Charles you know, i was in some of those mississippi casino names. I got out last week. Maybe too early. But we are seeing a shift and it began last week. Overall, and today is by far the biggest winners are financials up almost 4 for the session. Whereas technology stocks, communications services, the needle is barely moving there. Is it a good thing in your mind for this rally to expand at this moment over 150 s p names are up, two weeks ago it was only 100. Do you want to see it broaden out . Will that give it more credibility in your mind . Yeah, i think its a really really healthy thing, charles, to have this sector rotation, we could call it, is what you were saying. The big megatech stocks having a flat day while Everything Else is powering up. I believe thats a really good thing. Lots of Different Companies pulling on the orrs will move the ship faster. I still like buying on the little pauses but this is very constructive for the market to get to the next resistance level up. Charles lets talk about the next resistance level. Im looking at the Dow Jones Industrial average and im thinking the next big test could be 27,000. Yeah. I think thats almost exactly in line with the 3215 number i have written down right here on the s p 500, charles. Its those lows that were hit that we bounced off of several times in january and february that youre talking about and that im hitting here. I think heres the funny thing. We got fairly smooth sailing to get to there. If the largest civil unrest in 52 years cant slow this market down, if the covid numbers that are not going down as fast as we would like cant slow this market down, i dont know what will. Charles real quick, does it need a little more of an injection . You expect more money from the federal government, federal reserve, real quick . Yes, i do. I dont think thats going to be right away. I think congress in particular might leave a bullet in the chamber for the summer. Charles i tell you what, powell is eager to spend more money. Folks, we do have the c. P. Effe effect rocking and rolling as i hand it over to liz claman. Liz what a great day to see all of this, right . Especially that ticker. So many names charles yeah. It feels so much better than the last 24 hours all around. Liz doesnt it . It really does. All right. Well, charles and i certainly feel better. We do bring you this breaking news. We do have large crowds now forming in minneapolis at the memorial site for george floyd. About one hour after we learned that the charge against minneapolis Police OfficerDerek Chauvin had been raised from third to Second Degree murder. Protests over the death of george floyd nine days ago show no signs of ending but for now appear relatively peaceful. Minnesota not the only spot where protesters are forming. Youre looking live at a pretty heavy military and police presence. This is washington, d. C. On the left
