That is a great question, we were supposed to be up there we were told may 4th. Everybody started making plans, suddenly the democrats didnt want to do that. Because i dont know of stayathome order in virginia and d. C. Or didnt think all the things through, with Committee Rooms and meeting with social distancing all the things going with that. I can tell you the Republican Caucus is ready to get to work. A number of us went up there this past thursday to vote the legislation. Most of the Republican Caucus if not all was there. Republicans are ready to get back to work. Americans are getting back to work. On florida were opening up on monday, thanks to Governor Desantis phase one reopening. Businesses are working. People at supermarkets are working. Congress needs to be working to make sure were doing the will of the people. Elizabeth what were seeing now, the track record is showing that the democrats led by pelosi act like they had the foresight early this year to see covid19 coming. They didnt do anything about it. Nancy pelosi was talking about the no ban act, just block the president s travel ban on china. She was talking about vaping legislation. We see the facts coming in. The democrats are falling behind on this but yet theyre carping and attacking the president. He is pushing now on a brand new, it is called operation work speed to get fast track vaccines in place. He signed an executive order to keep meat plants open. We know 20 meatpacking plants shut down. Thousands of workers were exposed there is concern in the administration about the people getting infected, people dying, and that the food supply is broken. You see the president acting on that. Democrats appear to be awol, missing in action. Your take on all of this . She is criticizing the president for not moving quick enough and she was busy impeaching the president all the way through february. She was delaying giving the articles of impeachment. Then you had the senate having impeachment trial all the way through most of february, january, and february. So they were focused on impeaching the president , not what is going on in our country. Thank goodness the president was paying attention. Quickly within eight days, quickly stopping travel from wuhan, china, doing things to protect our nation and thank god he did that. Or we would probably have a worse pandemic here than weve had. I think the president is right to try to slowly move to reopen the country. Here in florida businesses want to get back to work. Small businesses want to open. I was out and about around town today. You can veal the vibe, frustration not being able to open shops and businesses, where they can have an operation. So i applaud Governor Desantis reopening starting monday of some of our businesses reopening. That is good for our country. Elizabeth weve got 20 states now moving to reopen this beak. I want i want to move on to this. Way after the fact, governor of maryland said now well do testing of nursing homes. Nursing homes were known to be a problem for more than a month. We have the secretary of the va on with us last night, as veterans are getting sick. Nearly 70 residents died at a massachusetts home in holyoke for aging veterans this is a terrible story. The administration is trying to stop that too. Again and again we look for the stories. Were searching for the democrat response to this. Were absolutely awol. All we see is rhetoric, zero action, nothing being done on therapy side of the aisle. It is disappointing. Look what happened to the ppp funding, paycheck protection funding. President saw, secretary mnuchin knew that fund would run out of money and tried to reauthorize money for that fund. For 16 days Small Businesses hurt, maybe had to file bankruptcy, shut down because they were not able to get the funding. That was all because Speaker Pelosi and Chuck Schumer held it up. Republicans are trying to get work done. Theyre trying to get things accomplished. Were trying to fund things. Were getting stonewalled. Very difficult in the house to get Public Policy done when we cant even go up to washington to meet. Elizabeth early, earlier this month the republicans said we need money for ppe. We were told we must believe ford no matter what. The media ran with ridiculous claims that were completely unvetted. Including one that said Brett Kavanaugh was part of a gang rape gang. Media are not fair and balanced craft. They are functioning as the arm of the dnc. It is a national disgrace. Elizabeth where are democrats standing up for women . Where are the i believe her now . With democrats with their silence, theyre staying silent, are they throwing the me too movement under the bus . They claim to have the moral high ground on this story, that and they have said we must believe all women. Joe biden has said that. I was there i covered washington at that time. I saw that story underway. From 1987 to 1995 joe biden was the chair of the powerful Senate Judiciary committee. Let the American People see the information and decide. Now five people have come forward to support tara reades claim that biden sexually assaulted her because she told them about it, many of them, you know, they were told about it in and around the time it happened. It includes a work colleague, a neighbor and a new clip, it is devastating. Reades own mother calling into the larry king show on cnn at the time about her daughters problems. Stacey abrams here is echoing joe bidens talking points. She is hopefully, hoping to be bidens choice for Vice President , as, as his Vice President. Watch this. The New York Times did a deep investigation and they found that the accusation was not credible. I believe joe biden. Elizabeth whats your take on that . Well, the New York Times did not establish or find that it was not credible. Just today by the way the Washington Post Editorial Board has called for joe biden to personally address this. By the way, there is one more thing to talk about. Joe biden was a senator from 1973 to 2009, 36 years. He had a huge number of senatorial papers during that time. He gave them to the university of delaware. There are estimated to be 1850 boxes of papers and about 400, 415 gigabytes of electronic information covering all of bidens years in the senate. Perhaps there was something about tara reade in there, not known. The papers are secret. Theyre going to stay secret until two years after joe biden leaves public life, whenever that might be. You will see increasing pressure for the, for the campaign or someone to account for the question of whether there is any tara reade information in those papers. Also by the way, for just the public to be able to know more about bidens 36 years in the senate before they vote on him to become president of the united states. Well i have been on this case for about three years, trying to get more information, and more information. Even making public the fact that we had comey in for a briefing in a secured room. Democrat and a republican. And comey said he didnt think there is going to be any prosecution of this person. So hes, he is hung out to dry for 3 1 2 years. Looks like there is plenty of exculpatory information coming in now as, flynn has gotten a new lawyer and that lawyer is taking the case very seriously, defending an innocent person, and as long as this information is coming out, coming out, why not get the whole thing laid out . There ought to be some people that have mistreated flynn, ought to be properly prosecuted. I dont care so much about the prosecution but the injustice that has been done to flynn ought to be made public and everybody that was a part of it ought to either be prosecuted or short of prosecution, we ought to let the people know of how illtreated this lieutenantgeneral was. Elizabeth you know, senator, to your point, flynns lawyer, Sidney Powell says these new documents prove that mr. Flynn has been deliberately set up and framed, that is her quote, framed by corrupt agents at the top of the fbi. He did plead guilty to lying to government investigators during a january 2017 interview about his contact with russians. Flynn since claimed he was pressured into pleading guilty because new documents show they threatened to go after his son. Your reaction to that . Well, we, we suspected that two years ago and now weve had this new lawyer working hard to get all of this information out. Weve got impartial judges that know all this, that is going on. We have got a very good attorney general that knows there has been an injustice here. And i dont know why you got to keep paying lawyers 1000 an hour to dig this information up it is so obvious the injustice that has been done to lieutenantgeneral flynn. Yes and we dont, we have had that information out there but not in a way that we could use it, and whats the secret, what is the secrecy justified now when all of this, knows, through this exculpatory information that lawyer powell has brought out, shows that he has been set up, shows that he has been harmed in a unconstitutional way, and he ought to be set free. The answer to your question is, no, we have not gotten that information and now that we know that he has been illtreated, why shouldnt we have this information . Peter strzok wrote a summary saying throughout the interview, Michael Flynn had a sure demeanor, did not give any indicators of deception. Strzok had impression of at the time he was not lying, didnt feel he was lying. Peter strzok was later removed from the Mueller Probe for bias against then candidate trump. So this certainly critics are saying this feels like lieutenantgeneral flynn was totally railroaded. Your final word . Well, you couldnt say it any better. I trust our intelligence.
