Even more fundamental than that, they thought they would be able to get President Trump and bring him down and have people screaming to get him out of the white house. Before they started the impeachment hearings, there was a margin of people saying lets impeach the man, thats now down to zero. As his popularity goes up, the fund raising coming in, the economy is booming david tom, i would think that even in california, a lot of democrats must be scratching their head saying maybe this impeachment thing is actually hem pg the president. Helping the president. Well, yeah, california is still going farther left than a lot of its cities. The democrat race, they have their own civil war. I dont think they are going to be able to get over it. One democrat after another after another would say that the president s not above the law. My question is above which law . Show me a statute. Show me regulation. What is he violating . They have not been able to say that. Well, we dont like the guy and we dont like his style. After being told this guy is dangerous, hes a threat to the democracy, threat to national security, but were not going to send over the articles of impeachment, certainly no big rush. We can hang on to them as long as we want. Which is it . Is he the most dangerous man on the planet or is it okay to keep him around the next week or later . On the one hand they are saying everybody has to be legal, like a courtroom, but then you hear what they said 20 years ago when clinton was being impeached, we found this sound bite from schumer back then saying something very different from what hes saying now. Also it is not like a jury box in the sense that people will call us and lobby us. You dont have jurors call and being lobbied and things like that. It is quite different than a jury. But this is divided politics today, isnt it . David well, it is. And another thing that happened today, yet another 300 point gain in the dow as tom was saying. I mean, this market. The question is whether or not the democrats can defeat a president who is in an economy this good. The economy is great. They like to say well it is only the rich. You know, your billionaire friends and my billionaire friends david yeah, right. When the dow hits almost 29,000, thats great for people like my mother and father who are retired. They have their retirement nest eggs. Their pension benefits are going up. Thats a good thing. You have record low unemployment for black folks. Record low unemployment for hispanic people. We are finally seeing growth in wages. David by the way, in the wages, the bottom 10 of the economic level in the United States received a 7 increase in wages. Percentage wise thats bigger than any ore group. Other group the wealthy are doing better, but the people who are poor are doing much better. The whole myth that people on wall street popping the champagne they may be doing that but people are popping champagne on main street as well. David i got to ask you, tom, i know california is moving further to the left, to what do they credit this booming economy, if not for some of the economic policies of this president . You know, they will never give him credit. Trump has bailed out california. By the way, california has, what, like a 2 trillion actuarial problem with its pension . I love how people complain. Oh, not everybodys in the market. I tell you this, every taxpayer is in the market because when the market goes up and the pension Balance Sheet looks better, that means less taxes ahead. David thats a great point. This is a big deal. But in california, youve got to understand, they have a perfect set of laws. Government has provided for everything. Oh, and dont look at those homeless people. Dont look at the budget deficits to come. Its just california david let me ask you about the homeless problem. I think you are in San Francisco right now. And San Francisco geographically the most beautiful city i any i think in the country, but you get down on the ground and see the homeless problem, how could they possibly blame anything but democrat policies for the homeless problem . The president didnt do that. Look, gavin newsom was mayor of San Francisco and he said im going to solve this. Then when he became governor, he said it is a regional problem. It wasnt my fault for not solving it. They have glorified this. They throw tons of money at it. Its a government program. What did reagan used to say . Reagan said government doesnt solve problems. It institutionalizes it. They create these programs and then those programs need constituents because thats how you get funding. So you dont solve a problem. Theres been this incremental these incremental attacks by iran and baghdad in iraq, in the persian gulf region, so we have responded with intelligence, with communications, with combat soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines, and now were prepared and im sure we have good intelligence, and im sure we were striking at where these rockets came from and the people that are responsible for these attacks. David again, it is not the sort of response that you would see from the previous administration, whether its in iran or in syria or wherever we are threatened where our troops are threatened or our interests are threatened. We are seeing pushback very quickly, lightning like pushback. Obama would just send them another palate of cash. Pallet of cash. David just to be clear about how many jobs, there are 6. 2 million oil and gas jobs, when you take it all the way from production to retail. There are about 200,000 solar jobs in america. Now, some people say you can turn that around, and joe biden said that back in 2010 when he was responsible for recovery summer. Remember that . He said there would be 500,000 new green jobs created every month in that summer. In fact, we ended the summer of that entire threemonth period with a deficit of jobs. We lost jobs that summer. So hes made these promises before and failed to deliver. Well, hes basically lying to americans. We can see the actual results, especially with the tax cuts. Look at the booming economy. The stock market continues to break records. Record low unemployment numbers for americans. Anybody watching this, you know, if hes declaring war, hes declaring war against the president , all the president s voters and yes declare war against journalism because they represent him not as a talking head, but as an actual journalist, running a show. David dan, it is not helping their ratings. Theyve had a ratings dip, and the point is is that they are a corporate entity. At some point the corporate chieftons have to look at whats happening and seeing that the rhetoric that we just heard from lemon is not paying off for the network and demand changes. No . Well, theyve had a lot of ratings dips there. The problem is, they all have shows. And, you know, yes, you think of viewers, stockholders would want something different. But i mean this is all the way comes down from the top. It has to because it infects every part of their programming that they attack, attack, attack. David right. Every little thing trump does. This is what they are all doing. They are doing what theyve been told to do. David what about the print world . I know you cant even call it the print world anymore because it is online.
