Bullish expectations before. To our stop story at hand. That is what nancy pelosi said or certainly seemed to insinuate in remarks made to reporters not more than 20 minutes ago. Blake burman on the implications of those remarks. What it means for getting anything else but impeachment done. Blake, what have you got . Reporter neil, when you take comments that nancy pelosi made specifically on the the on usmca on possibility Congress Passing that it seemed rather bullish. She said she would like to get it done this year. I ran that by a source in the administration, neil, emersed with all the talks involving usmca, trying to get it passed up on the hill. That source told me they feel that indeed things are happening. There are Smoke Signals right now but the administration is also looking toward a 4 00 meeting up on capitol hill among democratic leadership what is said after that meeting that takes place this afternoon. Nonetheless as it relates to pelosi and usmca she talked up the trade deal listen. Were moving postively in terms of the u. S. Mexico canada agreement. It comes down to enhancement, and enforcement, enhancement too but enforcement. I do believe if we can get this to the place it needs to be which is imminent this can be a template for future trade agreements. Reporter but as you note, neil, there is the real question of whether or not democrats, who are trying to or at least going through the process of potentially impeaching the president of the United States, whether or not those very same democrats will vote for a signature trade deal that the president is pushing. Those questions got amplified with these comments from pelosi. What President Trump has done on the record, advancing his foreign power helping him in his own election and obstruction about information about that, the coverup, makes what nixon did look almost small. Reporter neil, there is really a couple ways, more than a couple. But if you break it down, there are two roads from where democrats go from here. Either they focus on impeachment, that is the single Biggest Issue at hand, or, they also try, they also make the decision that they want to go forward, at least give the Public Perception as well, policy, Public Perception move, they can go forward with impeachment, but also pass an important trade measure at the very same time. Again that is 4 00. Democratic Leadership Meeting is what some inside of this building here are looking for to see what potentially is said after that. Neil. Neil they can walk and talk and chew gum at the same time. It is possible. Reporter they could do that too. Neil there is that little concept. Thank you, my friend, blake burman at the white house. Usa today White House Correspondent David Jackson all the fast moving developments. Help me on this part, david, the usmca issue, do you think the way they can stand now, the cobble together vote on this, pass this, regardless of impeachment, get that done . I would think so. A lot of it depends on pelosi whether she can get enough votes on her caucus in order to approve the trade deal. Republicans are confident they can muster number from their people. I would have to say yes, very possible, as long as the democrats are willing to go along with it. Neil i know how politics plays in. They dont want to give the president credit for this, but this could reflect postively on democratic controlled house as well. This is mutually beneficial result but what do you think . President the trump bashes democrats paying too much attention to impeachment and not trade deals between the u. S. , canada, mexico. That he comments every day. I think democrats are feeling political heat over that. That has had some success with voters. Wouldnt shock me if democrats took action. Neil what are your thought on per comments this is worse than watergate . I watched watergate unfold as a kid. It was a worse, a lot worse. President writing Million Dollar checks to keep people silent, obstructing justice at every step, every way. I have dont know, that seemed like a leap to me . Sounds like political rhetoric weve been hearing for several weeks, been amplified because we had a public hearing yesterday. Trump and republicans are out there the hearing was boring, nothing new, nothing to see here. Democrats are reciprocating saying serious issue. Likening it to watergate. Well hear more about that in the coming weeks as we have more hearings. Neil the watergate hearings started off, seven out of 10 americans think it was a waste of time. A democratic cabal against a popular president , it wouldnt amount to much. Summer 1973, house hearings, senate hearings, more revelations came to light, things quickly reversed, so much so by the next summer nixon is on the way to resigning . That is what theyre hoping there will be revelations or new developments to the degree it will change even republican minds heretofore thinking this is the an assault on a president . That is their goal. With more public hearings information will come out, smoking gun is the cliche. Hoping for new information that implicates President Trump. Yesterday one of the witnesses talked about the phone call trump supposedly made to an ambassador talking about the investigations that he wanted ukraine to do. So that is one new thing that came out yesterday. I can tell you this, the concern of the white house, this is the first day of hearings yesterday. We have at least four more public hearing days scheduled. There is concern increasingly important witnesses come before the public to talk about some of the things they claim President Trump did. So there is concern in the white house there will be new revelations coming next week. On the other hand we already know what there there is to know about this incident and time for everybody to put it to rest. Neil well see what happens. David jackson, correspondent usa today. Thank you very much. Thank you, neil. Neil this involves you, consumer shoppers across the country. Walmart getting a lot of buzz even though the stock is down from alltime highs, it will see a robust Holiday Shopping season and ready for it, through online and conventional vehicles. It expects this to be a record setter. That could be very telling here. The consumer you heard before is 70 of the economy. If she or he is inclined to buy at even fraction what the walmart folks are saying. Got similar buzz out of amazon. Remember what happened with china, with the the one day single days sales of alibaba developments. Record purchases of sales eclipsing 33 billion u. S. Dollars, there must be something going on. Fairfax Global Markets ceo Paul Dietrich on that . What do you think, paul . The question every investor is asking about walmart and every other retail stock is how is it doing against amazon . Neil yeah. It is doing quite well, thank you. Neil how do they do that, paul . I remember, a lot of people were worried oh, this is the death knell of walmart . They really stepped up, especially ecommerce sales. They were running for the last year or two, 30, 35 growth. This quarter they had a blockbuster 41 growth. Their free ship something competitive with amazon prime. They have now several different grocery delivery, get it in two hours for certain amount of money. I love they have one for 98 a year, which is about 2 a week. You could order, give them four hours, you could order fresh food every day, delivered to your house. Neil incredible. That is. I wrote a letter to the president saying, well you got these people delivering groceries, can you feed me at the same time . I mean that would really be a service that would knock them out. Neil meats and cheeses, home run. Exactly. Neil let me get your take, what it is saying about the consumer. Time and again, smashing folks like you told me, paul, watch the consumer. It is the lifeblood of the economy. Continues to be corporate bosses might hold back on purchasing plans theyre uncertain about trade, where it is going, currency and all that but consumers are of a very different bent. And why not . You have almost full employment in the United States. We still have, even though it is slowing a bit, we still have massive growth in employment. Wages are going up about 3 . And people are going to spend that money, especially at christmastime. I think this will be the greatest retail sales event at christmas, holiday season. Neil it is funny . Not a single item, parents have to get their kids. Hear it is good for electronics, traditional toys, traditional items, highend items, tiffany looking forward to it, cartier . There must be something they see that even when their stocks get buffetted, certainly some at the highend they weather it . I mean, who is not going to buy a gift at christmastime . You have to buy something. People will this year. Neil do you buy those figures, i think Retail Federation is saying four to 5 over last year . I think that is very reasonable. One other thing that investors ought to know about walmart, i always tell my investors, in 2018, and 2009 during the recession, when the stock market, the s p went down 57 during that recession, walmart was one of the few s p 500 companies that actually went up. Neil is that right. During the recession. Yes. Neil walmart is doing Something Interesting that if you cant find it in brickandmortar stores they will ship it to you online, they have a way working both to their advantage. If you look at their market cap it is about half of amazon but if you consider that half of amazon sales are cloud sales, theyre really quite equal. I think this is the only company that can really go toetotoe with amazon. Neil well watch it closely. Youve been ahead of the curve on lots of stuff, paul. Well see about this, Paul Dietrich apparently will be a busy christmas shopper. He can afford to be. Mark cuban can ignorants from a lot of liberal candidates but he is not. Capitalism will win, no question about that. Im never against open discourse. That is what makes the country great. People being able to convey their opinions. I will not agree with all of then. And i think in many respects, weve talked about this, ive been waiting for a moment like this my whole life. Neil suddenly the crowded 2020 democratic field just got a little more crowded. Former Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick jumping into the race. At that latestage what chance would he have . Hillary vaughn live with the the latest there hey, hillary. Reporter patrick making it official moments ago filing to be on the ballot in New Hampshire. He is ditching his job at private Equity Firm Bain Capital and diving into a 2020 field where the top tier candidates have trash talked the rich. One of the most outspoken ones, Elizabeth Warren, has spoken highly of the former governor of her home state massachusetts. This week she said she would consider putting patrick in her cabinet if she were president. That was before he announced he is a now a rival candidate. He is already pushing back on some of warrens ideas, like a wealth tax. Do you believe the wealthy are not paying their fair share and the taxes should go up, particularly in the form of a wealth tax . I think taxes should go up on the most prosperous and the most, and the most fortunate. Not as penalty but because we all have a stake in a National Community in building our future. Reporter patrick is leaving the role as managing director at bain capital. His firm already scrubbed patricks profile from their site. He joined bain in 2015 after serving eight years of governor of massachusetts but patricks tie to gain could end up being the bane of his Campaign Like it was for another Massachusetts Governor turned president ial candidate, mitt romney, when he ran against barack obama in 2012. Mitt romney led bain, hundreds of plants, factories and stores were shuttered. Workers saw their wages slashed, theyre jobs sent overseas. Romney made a fortune. Reporter neil, when that Obama Campaign ad ran, there was one outspoken critic of that, then mayor cory booker who called obamas ads nauseating. Well see if he changed his tune on that. Neil . Neil hillary, thank you very much. Before i get to my buddy Charlie Gasparino routinely breaking news, i had the honor of doing that, i tried to push the Massachusetts Governor to say, well, barack obama wasnt leaning too far left. Take a look. Governor, governor, do you have a minute to talk to us . I have got to fly. Neil getting good reaction to the speech. I feel good. Neil you did you expect the reception you got . I expect a lot of enthusiasm about the president and his agenda. Neil what about the backbone comment . What were you trying to say there . We have to be about our values which are Central American values, central 208 american character, stand up for that, we win. We deserve to win. Neil you said the party should embrace what it stands for. Not duck away from it. Do you think that message resonated. I dont think i said that. Neil the backbone comment, do you think that registered with folks. A lot of delegates said it did. You ambushed him. Neil take that. Neil considers wallace. I forgot about that golden moment. Anyway here, there was a Little Division back in the party at the time whether they were going too tough on capitalism here. Kind of same debate theyre rejoining today. Aforementioned Charlie Gasparino is here. Too tough. By the way, that was, that was nothing compared to what theyre doing neil what he will face now. It is interesting, about the bain capital issue, because like mitt romney, a bain capital pedigree background. Right. I mean, that obama ad was so bad, listen, both sides engage in this sort of stuff. Neil oh, sure. What do you think of his entrance now and who he is going to appeal to . Was it driven and concern by the party moving too far left . What were going on now. I called people on democratic side to get their idea. Neil i try to get them oneonone. If you notice, he was scared of you. Neil most are. Yes, i can tell. But, what the Democratic Party insiders are saying two things, they dont give Deval Patrick too much of a chance winning. They do believe neil how about doing well in New Hampshire . He is right next door. A lot of candidates, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren they think Elizabeth Warren is slipping. That the medicare for all numbers are so clearly out of whack that even Party Insiders say theyre insane. It is opening up a vacuum of potential moderates like him, mayor bloomberg. Neil right, right. Hillary clinton is musing neil would have to raise a lot of money fast. I dont think he has much of a shot. I think in the end, and im getting this from the same insiders, the guy that benefits oddly will be biden. If biden can do okay, he is starting to do better in polling, particularly New Hampshire, it is going to, he is the standardbearer of the centrists. Now he has got to do okay. He has to prove he is not too old. I hate to say it but he has come across at times just not sharp enough. He has to prove that he is sharp enough. If you look, if Elizabeth Warrens plan is laughed at now by anybody that knows how to add which it is right now, why bloombergs in it, why Deval Patrick is in it, Hillary Clinton talking about getting in, probably not, but just raising the issue, you know, that does open a lane for biden to bring this home, particularly if he does well in New Hampshire. If he wins New Hampshire by the way neil by the way, what did he mean, i think the rich should pay more . I assume returning top rate it was 39. 6, do we know whether he support as wealth tax or various taxes . He was liberal politician when he ran massachusetts. I think he is for putting higher rate back to where it was in the obama years. He is for probably reversing some Corporate Tax cuts. Neil right. We know biden is open to raising the corporate rate to 28 . 28 . Neil not to highest it was but in the middle. Right. I think he is kind of in that area. I think the bain thing does help him with moderates. I think he doesnt have the name recognition. I think what it does say, that he is getting in, bloomberg, we did a story yesterday that said bloomberg is now talking to potential campaign staff. So he is thinking about hiring up, that they believe that, the warren wing of the party will not beat trump. They believe the numbers are so obviously so not going to work, she will lose. Bernie sanders will lose, any of those conventional liberals. Neil you could make an argument, charlie, all the candidates in the race, a proportion vote in democratic various primaries, caucuses, you could arrive not have someone win on first ballot, then all bets are off. Maybe bloomberg is thinking that. This is brokered convention. I come in theoretically neil Hillary Clinton is thinking that. Second ballot, superdelegates come into play. She will have to raise a significant amount of money. I dont think people are dying to give to the clintons. Neil she said many, many people are. I speak to the guys all the time. That is one name i do not here. Neil really . By the way biden is actually attracting cash now. Neil is he . From two super pacs. I say were in the 5th inning, warren is losing momentum because her plans are fantastical. Even democratic liberals believe that. Why you have moderates galore thinking about getting in this thing. Neil always thank you for being here. By the way your hair is the same color. Neil not a word out of you people with the nasty emails because im vulnerable. Apple just upped streaming ante here. All of sudden people have to pick and choose streams services. The latest buzz, a lot of people add to them. In other words, they dont drop anything. What is going on . After this. Neil apple having a lot of success with the streaming service. Considering bundling with maybe others . Who knows. Kristina partsinevelos knows. She is here to update us. Reporter could be maybe others but well not comment. Apple said nothing at the moment. The report comes from bloomberg. Theyre talking about possibly launching a subscription bundle as early as next year. Neil, amongst journalists friends there is lot of rumors about apple and news. That possibly what will be in the subscription bundle. Apple news, apple tv launched recently as well as apple music. The big question, who would they pair up to work with. The other thing this is a moment for analysts, a lot of notes come out on the topic, it could be a way for apple to move away towards a subscription model so they have a reoccurring stream of revenue. You have one analyst downgrade the stock which doesnt happen too often. They think iphone sales have hit somewhat of a point of saturation. There was survey of 610 people, they believe the stock will drop to 190. This is maximum group company. This is apple. Market cap at 1. 2 trillion. Not very many people on the street i should say are bearish on the company. Switching gears completely, we have to talk about beyond meat. This company just soared, 163 after the ipo. You can see on the yeartodate chart, look at this green dot there, definitely fallen quite a bit from the summertime. The question what happened since then . Two major points. Insiders were able to get out of the lockout period, meaning they can sell the shares. The second thing competition is ramping up. Kroger launching their own meat lis products. Tyson announced fake chicken nuggets. I shouldnt say fake. Chicken less nuggets, they have a half plant, half meat burger, mission of both in one. Im not sure who they are targeting with that. The question among investors, did you miss the boat with beyond meat shares. Should you get in . Ubs sees room for the company. They think they can grow. Another report talked about international expansion. Looks like beyond meat is looking to start production in asia. The short, a lot of investors shorting stock, 12 of the float. Compared to tyson, 2 . Last but not least, wework, the fact that the company is continuing to lose money, 2. 5 billion. Revenue, has the company dropped from the valuation of 47 billion. Now valued 8 billion. Ipo out the window. Ceo is gone. Theyre looking for a new one and you have layoffs coming. Neil you covered a lot of ground there. Reporter really quickly too. Neil kristina, thank you very much. Deal or no deal. China wants tariffs removed. President trump does not. There is word about china keeping word about all the agricultural purchases. Neil today on the house side, fed chair Jerome Powell speaking on capitol hill. Didnt speak anything earth shattering. Echoing what he was telling the senate side. After three rate cuts, that might be it for a while. But he is ready, he is there, if need be. Edward lawrence on capitol hill with the latest on what he had to say. Edward . Reporter the Federal Reserve chairman jay powell was in front of the House Budget Committee this time. He gave glowing recommendation about the economy, same good review. He said Consumer Spending is driving the economy, driving the expansion and he seize the expansion on stable footing and seize no bubbles forming that could stop it. Powell is concerned about Business Investment slowing. Democrats on the committee tried to get the Federal Reserve chairman to say that the tariffs have sparked a recession in manufacturing and that could then spill over, listen. Is it reason to believe that the manufacturing recession that we are currently in could actually present a risk of spilling over into the entirety of the economy . That is a risk we monitor very carefully. We dont see that yet. The 70 of the economy that is the consumers is healthy with high confidence, low unemployment, wages moving up. Reporter the fed chairman says that the u. S. Economy is the star economy around the globe. He says, that trade uncertainty is something that the Federal Reserve is watching. Now white house Economic Advisor Peter Navarro now says that were on a path to, in order to get the phase one deal with china signed and remove some uncertainty. Every day we talk with the Chinese Ambassador Robert Lighthizer is doing a great job as the president said. Well get a great deal. Were on a glide path to a phase one agreement. See what happens as the president says. All this rumor stuff, somebody making a lot of money moving markets, it is all no. Reporter he is saying now a glide path. Chinese again according to the department of agriculture bought a large sum of soybeans. They removed restrictions on importing poultry from the United States. U. S. Trade representative said that could be a billion dollars worth of trade each year between the u. S. And china alone. Back to you. Neil Edward Lawrence in washington. Jerome powell made it very clear, he doesnt have a lot of wiggle room to low are rates if everything hits the fan if it comes to that, maybe next time everyone cant just rely on the Federal Reserve, that congress has to do its part. Take a look. It will lag most other advance cod advanced economies. That something fed cant do about. That is fiscal policy attached to labor force. That is not where we should be and i think there are things we can do about it. Neil that was yesterday before the senate. He was echoing that today. Is there a slim chance of that happening . Americans for prosperity president , you know him very well, frequent guest on this show, tim phillips. What he is saying is i might need a little help next go round here . He is right. Lower of rates is sugar high, distorts the markets. He is right. Best thing congress can do is pet spending under control. Were on track for almost trillion dollar deficit a year with a good economy. Neil he is worried about that. Eventually the reaper comes home. By the way, congress, next week, there will be considering another stopgap spending bill. You know what will happen. They will pile on more spending, more debt. Congress get spending in order. This president said before we would look vetoing some of these bills if they didnt begin reining in discretionary spending. We would back him on that. It is the right thing to do if congress cannot begin to restrain growth in spending. Neil no one will telegraph details in a campaign. I understand democrats and republicans but as you said there are a lot of other bigger issues in the budget. Discretionary is one thing, but a fraction of issues have to be addressed. Entitlement spending, people say, whoa, whoa, youre on the third rail. Yeah, but, discretionary is that gateway. If you cant get control of little things, you will never get control of big things like medicare, social security. Neil say the president was reelected, he has no more elections. Right. Neil he could use that as opportunity to address thornier issues. Do you think he would . Times weve been with the president , he expressed a lot of frustration by the time a spending bill gets to his desk they try to put like this ultimatum. Surely you will not shut the whole thing down . Surely not neil dangled military. Increase funding for military if you reject that, you reject everything. At some point he will be frustrated. Im telling you they did a great job cutting corporate rates. Theyre doing really good job, administration ending overregulation and red tape. Through all the alphabet soup. Neil that started the ball rolling. That was immediate effect. That saved companies a lot of money. Having said that though, youre close to the white house, you talk to a lot of key players, including the president , this call, that has prompted the emergence of people like Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders and now brought on whole new crop of candidates beginning Deval Patrick and mike bloomberg, obviously democrats are concerned they could be grabbing defeat from the potential jaws of trickery. What does the president say . I think he knows they have gone too far on some of these issues. I was in denver, colorado, suburbs are big problem for some of their candidates, republicans. They are deeply concerned that government takeover of Health Care Like Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders are talking about would take away the good care for 160 million americans and it would hurt those on medicare and medicaid because when you dump 100 million into a program already full and creeking, it makes it worse for everyone as far as access to get care. That issue, neil, keep an eye on it. If they stay on extreme position, i think they will pay a big price on Health Care Issue. Neil the Health Care Issue was a reason why, not only reason, a big reason why democrats were able to take control of the house. Republicans sort of fumbled on that. They dont have a coherent plan right now. Right. Neil should they worry if this Gains Traction . They need a plan. Just saying no is not the best answer. Neil right. In 2018 the debate was whether or not you would overturn obamacare. Republicans missed their opportunity keep their word and overturn that legislation when they took power in 2017. We pushed for ending to it, with replacement, with so many reforms to open up access and lower cost. They didnt do it. It hurt them in 18 but its a different terrain in 2020 because now the dominant question is this, is Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders and those who support them, are they going to get their way and End Private Health Insurance for roughly 160 million americans, and, harm access to americans receipt now of modest means who are on medicare and medicaid . My parents, mom and dad, spoke to them, they love you, make sure they know im on with you. Theyre on medicare. The idea that program will suddenly absorb another 100 million people, if you take away, that scares my mom. Neil already clumsy for some but for all. Access for my mom and dad, really dangerous. Neil a point republicans do need to crystallize to your point. They need a solution. Neil. Not just say no. Need also to say here is what we are going to do. Neil tim, great job as always. Always. Neil calls a spade a spade, might get some people annoyed on the right or left when he does so. We need people like that. The man behind that documentary, and author of the runaway bestseller, take it for granted, gianno caldwell. He talks about conservatism that can win back, america that liberalism failed. Good to see you. Thank you for having me. Such honor. Neil i didnt even know, new a little bit your wrong side of the tracks growing up. Your mother was a drugaddicted. Raised by your grandmother. Yeah. Neil you were surrounded by crime and poverty. How did you get free of that . First and foremost im so honored to be with you today and so honored to be able to say that the president of the United States endorsed my book, ben shapiro, Brian Kilmeade, so many others. Neil why is Brian Kilmeade third to the president . He wants to know. [laughter]. You know what neil i saw the president. He knew what you had said about charlottesville. Didnt define his behavior after that, ideal. He did, he did. Thats correct. I felt like it was a missed opportunity by the president on charlottesville. Neil you were honest about it. I was. I wont mince words on that. I grew up on the south side of chicago. Extremely poor. Lights gas off at the same time, my mom on crack cocaine as you mentioned. I was riding through chicago area in englewood with my grandfather. We saw the lady drugged up, beat down, i knew it was my mother. I began to tear up, next to my grandfather, he said what is wrong with you boy . This lady what can i prevent to do it from happening. At that point it wasnt my mother. It could have been. He talked about elect the officials, power they have to create pain, create stiffer penalties for those who sell and distribute drugs, and provide rehabilitation. I joined my alderman in volunteering to see how the political system worked. Neil your first exposure was to the fact that maybe democrats had something wrong. Explain that. There is couple different things. One we see the liberal politicians come into these communities every year and they make claims what theyre going to do, they never deliver. This is something that just happens on south side of chicago or chicago being black. This happens in the appalachian reasons as well. White people have some same issues that we have. Theyre just different. What i noticed then at this point, wow, these guys are really failing. How is that supposed to work . I had a conversation with a africanamerican gentleman one day on the corner. He challenged my views on the Republican Party because i pontificated on some of the same messaging that i have heard over the years from folks that lived in the community. Republicans dont care about poor people. If youre a republican, no matter who you are, youre a racist. That is what were taught growing up. It certainly wasnt true. He challenged my point of view. Africanamericans were mostly republicans growing up. I never heard that. I thought he was lying to me. I did research. I say difference between the democrats and republicans. Republican Party Started in 1854. The ideology after conservative prochristian faith, proreligion, profreedom all the things that i valued. All the things that i valued. I said, wait a second, this is me. Neil but it didnt make you a hit at the party, even among your family. You write, the backlash to nye gop affiliation from friends and family came almost immediately. Family members shunned me, treated me like i was contagious disease. They wanted to be white so badly, they said, i decided to make it official joining gop. Those white people would use me up and lynch me with they were done with me. Very painful words. Neil you would go on dates. The woman with find out, wait a minute. Later on youre the guy on fox, conservative, boom. I had a situation. I was hat a hollywood party. I went up to famous comedian, movie star, went to shake her hand. She says, i know you. Youre the republican from fox news. And that was Tiffany Haddish no love there. I went out on live date, found out work i did, she wanted to stop the car in the middle of nowhere. It is painful experience. I will never give up. Not stop fighting for my community. I wont put my beliefs on line for what other people think. Will not acquiesce or capitulation. The president had misstep in charlottesville, my belief. But he has done great work for the Africanamerican Community. Neil what he delivered should matter . This president has been the most impactful president in my lifetime. Neil i want to extend this into next hour. He is coming up right after the break. With a lot of stuff in the markets, whatever, this kind of stuff you have to hear and you will. Gianno caldwell. We are breaking from form today but i think my good friend John Caldwell is worth it. His book how conservatism can win back the americans that liberalism failed. He makes a very good argument for something no less than the president of the United States was saying some years back when he was first running for president , telling africanamerican audiences what the hell have you got to lose. That was his premise, right . Look, if democrats were doing everything right for you, you would be doing a hell of a lot better. Absolutely. I flipped that on its head. What have you got to lose, what have you got to gain. We have seen from a policy standpoint what African Americans specifically, but all americans, especially African Americans because thats usually the most marginalized group, what do you have to gain. The lowest Unemployment Rate in history. A study was done 2016 to last year of obamas presidency to now, 1. 3 million jobs, more than 1. 3 million jobs added for africanamericans. You talk about the first step act. Thousands of people released from jail. 90 of them being africanamerican. Funding for historically black colleges and universities. Opportunities, almost 9,000 of those in marginalized areas. This president has done more for African Americans in a matter of two to three years than any president in my lifetime. Thats democrat or republican. Neil so when you hear the president s called a racist, you say well, then he wouldnt be doing any of these things. Its an awful job. At the end neil where does he get that rap . You were critical after charlottesville. What does he do that bugs you that if he stopped doing you know what, i think there is a need to speak sensitive when it comes to issue of race. We have this country has a history on Race Relations that isnt that great. So we can speak very plainly and honestly about that. But heres what the democrats do. They make a lot of commitments, a lot of promises, africanamericans, vote for democrats over 90 of the time, nothing changes. I was on last night, and we were talking about an article where they were saying trump only is accomplishing these things for African Americans to soften the white vote in the suburbs. If that be the case, you can do like the democrats and make a lot of commitments and promises and never deliver. Thats what they have been doing. Its worked out for them. This president has done great work for our country. I think about in 2016 when he said i will bring manufacturing back to the u. S. Thats what he said. People said its not possible, it cant happen. People got their hopes up appnd 2018 we added 500,000 manufacturing jobs to the economy. I know what people are saying now, we got a sixmonth slump in manufacturing. True. But why is that . Why is it that nancy pelosi and the democrats wont act on the usmca . United states trade agreement neil they dont want to make him look good, right . Right. [ speaking simultaneously ] neil you referred to Hillary Clinton. If Hillary Clinton had won the general election, new laws would likely never have been created or likely had been created to protect clintonites. So whats good for the left isnt necessarily the same for the right, or the treatment of the right versus the left. Absolutely. I was referring to how folks are treating trump supporters. Neil right. Morons and idiots is what they are calling them. Whats so unfortunate about that, theres a class of americans that feel so hurt and left behind. President trump was masterful in tapping into that energy and actually delivering for them. He came in with a businessman mindset and hes been delivering in a very short period of time. I think a lot of folks when you think about the 95 Approval Rating in our country, its because hes keeping a number of his promises. Now, i know for people like my friend ann coulter who also endorsed my book, shes not happy with immigration and i get that. She should hold the party accountable, thats absolutely necessary. You have to keep pushing on these issues. Neil hes certainly not a traditional republican. Hes not. Neil what kind of reaction do you get among your friends . Obviously its one thing you talk about family and all that stuff, but the uncle tom comments and all that, what do you say . You know what, neil, i will be very honest. When i joined the party i was trying to figure life out and understand the dynamics, what are the ways of the republicans. I didnt know any of them. Maybe i acted, i talk about it in the book, maybe i would qualify as an uncle tom at one point or another but certainly not now. For those who think to call me an uncle tom right now, they would be misinformed. I feel strongly about my belief. I believe in the conservative message. Im a christian. Neil also you can be treated differently. You are treated differently. You are treated differently. Neil how do you deal with that . Thats the problem. Look at kanye west. This is a man who is not saying be a conservative, and im not advocating for people to be conservatives in my book. Im saying they failed us and if you want to look at it another way, conservatism worked for me, maybe it will work for you. They are calling him an uncle tom because hes being a free thinker in that way. Neil well, he like you doesnt seem to care. I know. Because you are in the public spotlight, you get treated so badly throughout the years, it is what it is at this point. But im saying to people, own your power. Look at things from an independent freedom thinking way. Think about things, dont just acquiesce to what Popular Culture says. Neil so when you talk about Michelle Obama went on the book tour talking about the exodus of whites from chicago, it was based on crime and everything else, you parted company in a big way with her. Yeah. She said in her neighborhood, people moved out because she was black, and her family. My question was what evidence do you have to support that. Neil crime did it, right . We dont honestly, shes saying they left because her family moved in. We dont she doesnt have any facts to support that. Like what do you have to support that . Neil it feeds the narrative. It does feed the narrative. Shes saying theyre still leaving. They are probably still leaving chicago because of the crime and high taxes. Neil what did you think of barack obama as president . He failed black america and certainly failed the city of chicago, 100 . Look at what President Trump has been able to do. President obama came in with a super majority in the house and majority in the senate. He could have did some of the same things. He didnt. President trump is doing this with conservatives, arm lock arm and hes making a difference in the black community. Neil not talking as an africanamerican, just looking at it, is it a cabal against him, the impeachment process . They have been talking about impeachment from day one. People often say to that well, look what they said about barack obama on his Inauguration Day with Mitch Mcconnell saying we are going to make him a oneterm president. Mitch mcconnell was saying we will make him a oneterm president at the ballot box, not what the democrats are doing which is using every vehicle imaginable neil you think the president ever feeds this . With his behavior . I mean, twitter, obviously, theres been some things hes done. Im not saying hes the perfect guy. Im not saying hes a guy without neil hes been saying part of his new ad campaign is maybe not perfect but essentially better than all these others. Im looking at accomplishments. If you can continue to show accomplishments and you can message that, you should be going into every community, black community, and messaging what hes done. We talked about this many times on your show. What have you done. Lets stick with your accomplishments. We dont want to get into the twitter battles and all that other stuff because its a distraction and leads to bad headlines. He has a lot he can show the american people. He has done and deserving of a second term. Neil do you see any promising africanamerican coming forward in either party, Deval Patrick, former Massachusetts Governor, throwing his hat into the ring. He must be looking at the landscape saying why not. Im not sure how he will poll test. We will find out soon. You see a person like joe biden who has strong support with black voters, especially in south carolina. Heres the problem with joe biden. When you look at the numbers, we are talking about older African Americans feel that with him and barack obama. Its an emotional connection with him. When the election really happens and you got a democrat candidate, a nominee, i think a lot of folks if theyre smart will talk about how joe bidens role in the 94 crime bill literally putting black people in chains and how President Trump is getting them out of it by way of the first step act. Neil would you ever want to run for office . I dont think so, neil. I dont think so. I would rather do this and hopefully inspire a bunch of people to think differently and maybe bring some folks to christ with my book. Thats my hope. I just want to make a difference in the world. Neil faith is very important to you. It absolutely is. Neil everything you have been through. I wouldnt be here before you if it wasnt a partnership with god. Im thankful for the role you play. Many people dont know it. Im hoping i wont have your phone blew up but you helped me a great deal at this network before i came in. You were a mentor. Neil when i saw that, i said this book will be a great book. Thank you so much. Neil i tell you, it is a great book. What hes had to endure, i thought i knew him well. I didnt really know him at all. I know him now. Im impressed with what i see right now. What i like about it, he can be a pain in the ass to both sides and thats an okay quality by me. Gianno caldwell, got to read it. Neil we are getting a lot of email text reaction to gianno caldwell, africanamerican, young man started out as a democrat, not sympathetic to republican causes, says hes seen enough under this president to say warts and all, hes delivered the goods for minorities, particularly for African Americans, and thats something the president should crow about, republicans should pound and he doesnt like the fact a lot of republicans dont pound it more. To market watch columnist bret barrons, inez stefan and john bussey. Let me begin with you. His premise is what the president s was a few years ago, telling africanamerican audiences what the hell have you got to lose. What do you think . From the standpoint of the economy, which has done well, and unemployment which has done well, in other words dropping, the president s got a good story to tell. It is a continuation of a recovery that began in 2009 with president obama, but nonetheless, he hasnt messed up the economy. He has created a trillion dollar budget deficit with those tax cuts that spurred the economy, and that will be for the next generations to take care of. Spending somebody elses money. But traditionally, africanamericans have allied with the Democratic Party because of deliverables from the Democratic Party. Voting rights act, great society, lyndon johnson, number of black candidates that are democrats, even now you see with Deval Patrick, kamala harris. You see an identification that is historical, goes way back. Interests of Africanamerican Community in the south particularly, south carolina, half of the voters there will be africanamerican in the democratic primaries. A tradition that goes back to an alliance between africanamericans and democrats. Neil one thing he was saying, you think about his wording is clumsy after charlottesville, it was particularly clumsy, said that he chastised the president for that, but that if he had his choice between someone who spoke all the right words and did the right things, he would choose the right things, and on some of those socalled deliverables, he has done that. You know, with the improving, you know, minority unemployment levels and all that, record lows and all that, you know, Prison Reform bills. What do you think of that, whether that should be more of a focus for the president . Republicans, even if they can pick up a couple more percent of an africanamerican vote that has routinely gone almost monolithically the other way . We have seen that on policy, you can change votes. We saw it at the state level in florida, right. Where Governor Desantis actually picked up 100,000 additional, right, in terms of what was expected and in terms of africanamerican votes for other democratic and republican candidates in that year, he picked up 100,000 extra votes, almost certainly because of his support for the School Choice programs there. So these were School Choice moms, mostly africanamerican, also hispanic, picked up 100,000 votes he should not have gotten in comparison to the other races that cycle and it put him over the top and in the governorship. I do think theres a really good policy case to be made here on criminal justice reform, on School Choice, on the economy, on low africanamerican unemployment and theres a case to be made to women as well on those grounds and i think the president should make it. Neil what do you think . Im old enough to remember when, you know, republicans competed for the black vote and the democrats were the party of the white south. I think since nixons 1968 socalled southern strategy, the republicans deliberately appealed to white southerners. I dont want to be simplistic and say oh, theyre all racist or just being racist, but i do think there has been either a covert or in some cases, overt appeal to some of those wings and you know, its difficult to appeal to black votes if you are also trying to appeal to that vote. Look, trump was asked about david duke and he sort of hemmed and hawed, i dont know what youre talking about, then there was charlottesville. Anyone can misspeak and anyone can make mistakes but there does seem to be a pattern which certainly appears to a lot of people like he either is not aggressively antiracist or he wants to have it both ways or whatever. Im not taking sides. Im saying neil i know what youre saying. Im saying that in terms of substance, i think youre absolutely right. School choice, for example, is a perfect example of a policy that republicans have embraced that can and should appeal to a lot of families in minority and poorer neighborhoods but i think in terms of setting a tone and setting a narrative, i think that would require quite a substantial change by trump and the Republican Party to go after the black vote in a major way. Neil meaning you have to do and say that. It harkens back to something mark unicuban was saying when i came to the wealth tax. This goes beyond just party labels. Listen to this. I did the math and her 6 wealth tax would cost, would require me to pay more after the first year and a half than i have in cash. I sent an email to one of the economists and said look, did you guys do take into consideration liquidity when you defined your wealth. Exactly. Such a good question. They said no. Neil one thing i love about billionaires, they dont see any other color but green. They glielike green. They like having lots of money and they dont like even talk of this twocent solution Elizabeth Warren espouses. Something that will be affordable to them. In the case of jeff bezos it would amount to paying 7 billion more by the way, each year, if it goes into effect. Theres this return response, i guess, to that populist pitch. What do you think . Yeah. Great for mark cuban, very quickly did the calculations on the back of a napkin. Its always great as a politician if you can say to someone im going to give you something that you dont have now, medicare for all, and someone else is going to pay for it. Thats whats happening in the primaries. The math wont add up politically. Separate from whether or not it adds up, it wont add up politically because she is going to run into huge headwinds on her neil i wonder if she regrets the degree to which she pounded this. Im not so sure. Its been pretty popular in the electorate. I will go back to something bret said. I think on this issue of appealing to the electorate, not just through taxing the wealthy but on a race issue to seek to get more africanamerican votes, the problem for the president is that some of it has been overt. In other words, the antimuslim rhetoric. You know, another Minority Group sees that and says muslims today, me tomorrow. Right . The comment to the squad in congress, go back to the countries you came from, africanamerican. Neil in other words, that keeps his base but doesnt expand it. Yes. I dont know if i agree with that. Remember, david duke was a former head of the ku klux klan. Talk about an easy target to take down. Neil but it is interesting that romney, for all of his conventional, rather austere approach, departmeidnt win ove of people. I thought his remarks were atrocious but generally, we focus way too much on this stuff. I dont think that this wasnt a substantial move in the africanamerican vote. If anything, trump did better than mitt romney. Mitt romney had that, you know, very milktoast message, dont offend anyone other than that 53 remark. He tried very hard to run a conventional campaign. I dont think pandering really helps. I recognize you are not saying that. Theres a distinction between pandering and being offensive. I certainly think trump could dial back his offensiveness. But i dont think thats the main issue here. I think at the end of the day we are talking about longterm historical trend which you noted, i disagree with your assessment about the southern strategy, this was the result of a long shift in africanamerican voters from the 1930s and 40s during the new deal, when the Democratic Party was overtly racist. Forget about what trumps saying. Neil but whatever minorities you woifrin over, you are losin women, suburban educated men and women. Thats offsetting. Trumps biggest problem is with College Educated women in the suburbs. I think even though neil thats white and black and everything in between, right . Yeah. But i dont know what the answer is in terms of putting forward and i think part of it has to be really elevating those policies like School Choice, like criminal justice reform. I think that thats what the Republican Party should do. But i dont know that the answer is to dial back the tone because that hasnt worked. It didnt work for mitt romney. What im saying is i dont think theres any theres probably very little chance of him or the republicans making major inroads into minority votes, particularly africanamerican votes, as long as they are wooefrti ieither wa confederate flags or white sheets in the background. As you said, there has been overt stuff. Neil more anomalies and distinctions than they are general patterns. But i agree, the thing about trump is i do think his tribe isnt white people, its people who like donald trump. He prizes loyalty above everything else. I think if he was surrounded with africanamerican love, he would be going the other direction. The big problem is, as we all know and as we have seen the last two elections, maybe he will nip off a couple of additional percentage points, if that, with minority votes. Big problem is the exodus of white suburban educated women particularly from the Republican Party. Why did Orange County go blue, because of that. But you could make the argument that some of this rhetoric is causing that exodus. Neil still early and we have a Long Campaign to go. In the meantime, forget about watching impeachment on tv. Focus more instead about consumers interested in buying a new tv. Why walmart is telegraphing something that goes beyond race to more like a race for record sales. After this. Use the new plan finder at medicare. Gov. Comparing plans really pays. Look how much we can save. Neil congressional aides telling fox President Trumps meeting with turkish president erdogan and senators was tense at times. Republican senator joni ernst was at that meeting. Maybe she can settle this once and for all. Senator, good to have you. Thank you for coming. Thanks, neil, very much. Good to be here. Neil so was it tense, senator . I would say it was tense more than just a few times. Yes. It was tense. Neil what brought it on . What would trigger it . Well, it was a wonderful discussion. I will give it that. I thank President Trump for allowing the senators to go into the oval office and have discussion with president erdogan of turkey, and what we discussed first and foremost was the askedfor [ inaudible ] purchased by turkey, incompatible with our f35 program and Nato Alliance countries. We certainly wanted to push back on that. Then we also brought up the subject of the Kurdish People and how they are great Strategic Partners for the United States, how we wish to remain so. We need to work through these complicated relationships but bottom line, turkey cant keep the s400. Neil we are told the president referred to erdogan several times as a good friend and that they have been very helpful in capturing better than 100 isis fighters, but i know there was a Bipartisan Group of, you know, republicans, democrats, congressmen, senators, who didnt want this meeting to take place because hes not been a good friend to the United States and certainly not to this president. Did that come up . Well, it did not come up necessarily in that manner but what we did point out is that they are a nato member and again, these are complicated relationships. The bottom line, they are part of this Treaty Organization and so they need to remain true to those allies within that organization, and by joining forces with russia, it is really not the best avenue of approach for them. So we continue to push that we will need to continue working with them. The issue is we dont want to push them further away. We certainly want them to remain in nato. But we need to see them moving forward in a more democratic manner and not embracing putin and russia like they have in the past. Neil many of the president s critics, senator, you raised it more kindly than others, he has an affinity for those who are otherwise viewed as thugs, whether its president erdogan, vladimir putin, kim jongun, the list goes on, but that hes particularly close to those types. What do you make of that . Well, i think President Trumps way of approaching difficult situations is by opening those avenues for us to have these very important discussions and certainly people like that, we dont admire or respect them, but it does provide us opportunity to sit down to discuss these issues and be able to find a path forward. If were not talking about it, were not going to find a path forward. Neil was president erdogan in the room when you all were in the room . Oh, absolutely. Neil what was his reaction to all this . I wouldnt say it was hostile but i would say it bordered hostile in a number of the comments that we made, especially when we broached the subject of the kurds and that they were Strategic Partners and i brought up the fact that i had served as well and the men and women i served with certainly found the Kurdish People to be very helpful to them, especially during Operation Iraqi freedom. So a number of other groups that we talked about as well, they named a number of those Kurdish Forces terrorists. We feel a little bit differently in those areas but again, we decided to disagree and understand that we all have those complicated relationships. Neil all right. Very diplomatic way of framing it. Senator, if i can switch gears here. I know you were the senate is not involved in the impeachment hearings, watching closely whats going on in the house. Eventually, though, it could be in the senate. Is anything you have heard or that the president allegedly discussed, alarmed you or changed your mind on anything or status quo . Well, its status quo for me right now, neil. Everything that i have seen, everything i have heard, the transcript that i read, i saw nothing that was an impeachable offense. So we do anticipate that we will have action in the senate at some point and at that point, i will be able to take a look at all of that information and evaluate as a jurist. But everything i have seen so far coming out of the house, it seems very politically driven. As we have heard time and time again, the democrats in the house, the day after the president was elected, they were heckbent on making sure he was impeached. So you know, take it with a grain of salt. But i will look at the information that comes over from the house. I will evaluate it and make my decision then. Neil if there was any signs, again, it depends on what witness you listen to at this early stage, that the president was, in fact, dangling aid to the country, if it wasnt more receptive to investigating the bidens, talking about the former Vice President and his son hunter, would that be a problem for you . Well, again, i read through the transcript and i saw nothing that approached that impeachable offense, absolutely not, but i would say as i said before, corruption in any country should be ferreted out. That goes across the board. It doesnt matter who you are, where you are, if there is corruption it does need to be sought out. Any country should be able to do that. But certainly, what i have seen, what i have heard, it doesnt lead me to believe that there is an impeachable offense. Neil the fact this was joe biden, the president was trying to get some information on, lets say this were a guy named bob biden, would he have been interested . Again, corruption is corruption. I dont care who you are, where you are. If it exists, you need to find it. Neil do you think the president would have been interested if it was anyone else but ostensibly someone who could be his opponent in the next election . Well, again, i think there are certain types that will be explored but again, corruption is corruption. I go back to even president poroshenko when we were doing bilateral meetings at the munich security conference. A Bipartisan Group sitting down with the ukrainian president and we told him you need to start taking care of corruption within your own country. Otherwise American Companies are not going to invest in ukraine. We have been talking about this for years and years and years. Ukraine understands theres a problem with corruption. We need to get to the bottom of it. They need to get to the bottom of it. Neil very quickly on the trade talks ongoing with china, they want to get a mechanism where they can check that china is committed to buying all the Agricultural Products it says it will buy. You are of course in a big farm state. Are you worried theyre not going to deliver the goods . Well, i always get concerned about china, i get very excited when we are nearing the end of a deal or a phase of negotiation, but china does tend to pull back when things get a little hot so we would like to see the trade deal move forward. I know the president is working very, very hard on securing a path forward for our ag commodities. He wants to get phase one done. It is now in the chinese hands. Neil we will watch it closely. Senator, thank you for talking to us about so many very good subjects. We appreciate it. Senator joni ernst. Neil in the luxury market, the high end of real estate, if you will, all it took was a millionaire, then billionaire surtax and all of a sudden, Luxury Properties stopped selling or at least, stopped selling as much. Cheryl casone has the latest. Little bit of slowdown in the manhattan luxury market. I will give you some facts and figures but i want to kind of show you around. This is the master suite. If you so wish, this is a two entrance to a fivebedroom, six and a half bathroom, 13 room, 5400 square foot home. Lets take you down the hall and walk you through. The price was 49 million but to your point about buyers and the story changing here in the luxury market, now its 29. 96 million. Its been on the market about a year. I will take you down, this is one of the extra bedrooms. Again, theres five bedrooms. A lot of the parts of the apartment, the designer and the architect actually wanted it to be made in america. Theres some different sitting rooms and things because this is a whole floor of a building built in 1905. We are in the meatpacking district, by the way, in manhattan. What is so crazy is how about a 48,000 front door that weighs, yes, 200 pounds but whats cool about this, this is the elevator that actually goes down to the lobby. Im going to end here in the living room. Neil, for 29. 96 million, you get this view of a google advertisement but you also get this view of the meatpacking district here in manhattan. The luxury market, different story than it was five years ago. Back to you. Neil amazing. Thank you very much. Cheryl casone. Mark cuban, who would bhoevent fr benefit from the stock market runup . I think its kind of topheavy in terms of its benefiting the Biggest Companies right now. A lot of that isnt necessarily due to policy but i think as we have discussed before, artificial intelligence, Better Technology and just the value of scale. Neil Charles Payne, what do you think of that . Charles you know, i think its too generalization to be quite honest with you. You know, listen, so far this year, 2019, the s p 500 which is really 495 companies, 428 are winners. 364 stocks are up 10 , 280 stocks are up more than 20 . The biggest winners arent your large companies. They are all 50 billion market cap or less, advanced micro, chipotle, very small names, coty, xerox, 8 billion company, but not a Large Company by any means. This has been really an amazing market where everyone has prospered. I will say ai and ai investments are certainly going to help all companies. A few years from now, technically every company will be a tech company because of those kind of investments. As far as the stock market rally is concerned, first and foremost, President Trump gets credit. Secondly, the Federal Reserve for turning on a dime and changing their policies. Neil what do you make of what cheryl was touching on in the real estate market, high end . Charles heres the irony about that. She was doing that from the meatpacking district. 12 years ago, there was nothing there. Except meatpacking. Okay . They had one dive bar that was really famous for people getting really famous people getting drunk and other than that, it was nothing. It was zero. We have had so much buildout in manhattan its absolutely remarkable that any of these buildings are fetching some of these high prices. Its just gone too much, in these long hundred story unattractive, ugly pencil towers i can go on and on. They are not building circular dri driveways. Bottom line, too much building is hurting them more than anything else. Neil i would still prefer a view of the meatpacking district than say central park. Charles really . Neil yeah. I could see my meat coming to me. Charles shorter distance to get to the house. Neil exactly. Thank you, my friend. See you in ten minutes. Meantime, red china now heading to the red planet. China completing its first public test of a mars lander, a planned 2020 mission on top of their commitment to colonize the moon, and theyre on fire. They have a lot of money to be on fire. Former astronaut tom jones, what he makes of this. Good to see you. China is not the sort of half youknowwhat about this. Its going full throttle, huh . If you look at their Space Program, it looks like theyre trying to play in all the areas of their Space Program and to show that they are a global competitor in all those areas. So human space station plan for a launch in a couple of years, they are going to go to the moon with their astronauts probably in about ten years, now they are spreading into the Robotic Exploration area, where they have been to the moon, to the far side of the moon, now they are taking that technology and stretching it out to play in the mars sandbox. Neil eventually they hope down the road from that mission, that could obviously be a long way away, but the efforts here have been raised hackles in the United States, where some think they are trying to militarize it. Do you fear that . Well, we dont see any traces of militarization in these lunar and mars efforts. These are Space Science missions and they host guest instruments and experiments from other countries around the world. So they are opening up a little bit in this scientific realm. But most of the chinese Space Program is funded boy they thei military, particularly their human component. Their human orbital flights, space station, effort to go back to the moon, its all secret. Neil that worries me. That part of it. It could be another area, mars, and i just wonder how we should respond. What do you think . Well, we are so far ahead of china in this area of Mars Exploration specifically. This rumor they are proposing would be their first attempt to land on mars. About 60 of all efforts to land on mars have failed. The u. S. Is the only successful country to put a lander down on the surface of the planet. So its very tough to do on the first try. They may succeed, i hope if they do, we will get some more scientific infoout of it. The way we compete is keep pushing the frontiers showing we can do things in the solar system that no other country can approach. I would just guess china is about 25 years behind us in this endeavor. Neil what about all the other countries . How do you handicap like whos got an inside move here that we should Pay Attention to, how do you break it down . Well, if we dont do anything on the frontiers of human exploration, for example, if we just let our space station go out of commission in about ten years, as planned, then china would certainly take over as leader in human exploration. They would have a space station by the mid 2020s and they could certainly put people on the moon in about ten years and at that point, if we did not do it our severals, th ourselves, they would be the leader in human space exploration. They have a budget only about half of nasas budget but they are pushing hard to catch up, to reach parity with our space capability and they have a long way to go but are steady in their efforts. Neil when it comes to, you know, the tries to get into space, that could be changing pretty soon with some of these private, semiprivate initiatives started. Thats not a moment too soon im sure for you. I totally agree. The fact that we gave up our ability to launch astronauts in 2011 when the shuttle retired is a National Embarrassment and has been that way for eight years. So we need to get these commercial space transports from boeing and spacex off the ground in the next six months, get our Service Restored to the space station so nasa can fly from florida regularly to the space station. Thats the Building Block that allows nasa to then go beyond that back to the surface of the moon, maybe to the nearby asteroid and eventually to mars. The search for life there is the motivation. Again, if we do not undertake that effort to get humans eventually to mars, maybe by coopting the chinese, eventually, then certainly the vacuum will be filled by chinas effort to get there. Neil man, we could all pitch in and do that part. Tom jones, thank you very much. Pleasure. Neil in the meantime, venice seeing the second worst flooding it has ever seen in the city. Italy already declaring a state of emergency. Water levels topping six feet. After this. Neil President Trump is about to sit down with the nato secretarygeneral, general stoltenberg. The nato secretarygeneral by the way will be my special guest on 4 00 p. M. Eastern time on your world on fox news. Well get into the issues, with president erdogan that caused a bit after dustup with president and key players at white house. All fine today as they move on to get ready for impeachment hearings that resume tomorrow in a market collectively shrugging its soldiers. Dow down 61. To Charles Payne.
