Several have been outspoken about issues with the budget deal, senator rand paul, chuck grassley, ted cruz and senator john kennedy. Five people made a deal here but there are a whole lot of senators, i assume a whole lot of members of the house of representatives that dont know whats in this deal. The attitude about, about the future debt around here seems to be we dont need to worry about the future. Sooner or later its the past. Reporter here is the deal on the table that House Speaker nancy pelosi worked out with the white house. It suspends the debt ceiling for the next two years. It also raises spending caps by 320 billion, including 22 billion for defense and 27 billion for Discretionary Spending that democrat want but all of that comes with a cost. The committee for a responsible federal budget estimates the twoyear agreement could add 1. 7 trillions to the national debt. White house Economic Advisor larry kudlow on fox admitting that republicans did not get to rein in as much spending they wanted. Senate democrats are not thrilled with the deal even though they got dollar for dollar spending increases for nondefense. At this point i will. Im planning on it. I will take a closer look to see if there is anything that disqualifies it. The alternatives of shutting down the government or defaulting on americas debt are unacceptable. We saw this a couple years ago, with the first round of the, first budget deal under President Trump where we saw just spending on both sides. Republicans using the opportunity to get the defense spending they wanted. They traded that for nondefense. Here we go again. Like danielle said, there just isnt a cost. The markets are not punishing lawmakers for not showing fiscal prudence and as a result i guess it is not a surprise that both parties, the path of least resistance is to give to get what you want. Charles what helps this, are extraordinary low rates. Foregone conclusion the fed will lower rates, the reason why it is up for debate, you have got lower inflation risk. Sluggish u. S.
